Remove Blur From a Picture? Adobe says "YES!"

2011-10-20T08:26:00.002-06:00

Let's be honest: There have not been many features that have blown your socks off in Photoshop recently and for those who actually have to pay for the software themselves, the reasons that justify an upgrade have not been very compelling.

However, I predict that this is a feature that you will want -- one that you'll pay for -- if it works as Adobe promises.

Adobe recently demonstrated a deblurring feature for a future version of Photoshop. They did not say which version they are targeting, but it seemed a bit rough around the edges, so I would be cautious about speculating that it will be in CS6. The feature was integrated into Photoshop via a plug-in and can magically correct blurred images and come up with a sharp picture. Magic?

Common sense tells us that if you screw up a picture, you screwed it up and especially if its blurred, your options to make it look better are very limited. How would Adobe be able to deblur a picture?

Adobe's approach is interesting - and quite compute-intensive. The analysis of the picture tries to trace the path a picture was blurred - it basically attempts to recreate your hand movement during the time a picture was taken, based on the blurring in the picture. Depending on the size of the picture, this process can consume some time, but the effect that Adobe presented on stage was breathtaking. In one example, the software even revealed a blurred phone number in a picture.

Adobe declined to confirm a release date of the feature. But even if it is just half as good as it worked in the demo, this feature will be reason enough for many Photoshop users to upgrade.

Alert !!! Please do not Text and Drive !!!

I created this app for several reasons.

1. To reduce the risk of texting and driving

2. To tell my friends family and coworkers i'm in a meeting.

The uses are endless.

If your at the club and the bass is just to loud to feel your phone vibrate you can turn on the app tell people you will text them next time you check your phone, or let them know what club your at so they can join you. :)

But seriously tell your friends to stop texting and driving or the next time you see them might be at their funeral. Trust me texting can wait!

A LITE version of this app will be available soon.

And if you can't bring yourself to pay a dollar for this app please contact me and I will let you beta test my Lite version.

Help our tribe change the world!
by Tucker Gumber
Hi Tribe,

It is getting pretty exciting over the last couple weeks. We are really starting to grow! This is just the beginning as well. I wanted to explain to everyone why growth is key to what we are doing. We believe that our tribe is going to change the world by helping our members develop awesome attitudes and realize that being happy is a decision. The more people who see this site and buy into what we are all about the more we have the ability to really make an impact. I was super happy with how our video turned out (yay ZImmerman). I think it does a great job of showing what our movement is all about. Here is the video if you haven't seen it yet.

The power of social media is unlimited. Think what whould happen if each of our members told 5 people go 5 people to join. Then what if those five people did the same thing..... holy crap this is exciting.

So how can you help us grow?

Love Life!! The more you love life the more our message is going to grow.
Tell your friends to like our page. You can just click the "Share" button at the bottom of each post if you want to put it on your wall. Or just retweet on twitter.
Post the video to your facebook. Here is the link:http://youtu.be/yTL6lTyvmgc
Interact with us. We are real people trying to make this a real movement. Tell us your ideas. Tell us when if you think we should do something different or better to improve the site.
So let's do this. Let's change the world by making the people around us happy. If enough of us make an effort to do this we will really make a difference!

Yaying like rockstar,

Tucker

What sucks most about Ipods is Itunes

2011-05-09T09:01:00.002-06:00

Its so lame that you have to download third party software to make your Iphone or Ipod work correctly. Recently my friend came to me and said his itunes had copied every song in his library, and that he deleted the duplicates to get rid of seeing every song on Itunes twice. Whelp you guessed it, Itunes destroyed all the files and he was left with broken file names in his Itunes. Lucky for him his Ipod still had all his music on it, he was heads up enough to not plug it back into Itunes, because he would have sync all the garbage from his broken Itunes and also erase his Ipod. He called me up and I said sure this happens to a lot of people, let me back up your ipod and we can transfer you backup from my thumbdrive to your computer's back up drive and itunes should sort it out and get you back to where you were.

The program I used (I don't install Itunes on my computer) was CopyTrans from the hard working peoples over at http://www.copytrans.net its only 19.99 and worth every penny! They also have a free Ipod manager called CopyTrans Manager - its about 5 times faster than Itunes in every way, transferring files sync music video, drag and drop etc everything Itunes does without chewing up bandwith and shoving crap music ad's down your throat. And that they give away for free.

Sony got beat by nerds!!!

Poets not nerds (random acts)

2011-03-29T20:01:00.001-06:00

Strangest thing . I was at chopsticks express and I was about to hand the clerk my card when this elderly woman speaks up and says let me pay for you. I kindly said its ok I can pay for my food. She objected and handed the clerk 5 dollars. Clerk hands her change I said wow thank you so much haned her and her son (who's also aging) my card. I try to do nice things for people when ever I can, even me with a job and finances under control life going great I can't tell you the feeling of happiness it gives me to see people doing kind things even if its for me. Again wow what a difference 5 dollars can make.

They should have sent a poet not a nerd.

FastMac U-Socket review Must Have!

2011-03-17T13:56:00.001-06:00

FastMac's U-Socket may have veered perilously closer to vaporware territory after what seemed like an endless series of delays, but it finally started shipping out back in January to those patient enough to hang onto their pre-order, and we recently got our hands on one to see if it was really worth the wait. The short of it is that it does indeed work as promised once you get it installed, although that process may not be quite as painless as you're expecting. Read on for our full review.
