The Acer Iconia Tab offers Android Honeycomb on a 10.1-inch screen along with GPS, front and rear cameras, Adobe Flash compatibility, full-size USB host port, HDMI output, and a reasonable price. As with any decent tablet, the centerpiece of Iconia Tab's design is the screen. Measuring 10.1 inches and boasting an LED-backlit 1,280x800-pixel resolution, the tablet's screen does the Android experience justice. And because Honeycomb moves the Android navigation controls off the hardware and into the touch screen, a crisp, accurate screen is more critical than ever.

Flip it over, and you'll find a 5-megapixel camera on the back with an integrated LED flash. The back is covered with gunmetal-finished aluminum, with the exception of two strips of plastic that meet your hands at the edges. Near the bottom you'll see a pair of stereo speaker grilles cut out from the aluminum. We worried that our hands would naturally cover up the speaker--and they did--but oddly, it had no effect on the sound quality. Sound seemed to project through the screen more so than the speaker grilles, which is ultimately fine, if a little illogical.
A camera is also located on the front, near the upper left corner of the screen. Meant to be used for video chatting (using the included Google Talk app) or impromptu self-portraits, this camera uses a lower 2-megapixel sensor, but can still be used to record standard-definition video.

This tablet is very snappy. On STOCK OS with no mods, it benchmarked at 1950++. My EVO, also @ 1 GHz benchmarked at 1250 and later 1550 once rooted and overclocked on a custom ROM. Quadrant Benchmark test is not made for Dual Core processors. Android 2.2 is not made for Dual Core processors or tablets. I doubt either of the previously mentioned are made for an ASYNCHRONOUS CPU!

Speed is excellent. Battery life is not the greatest, but once a custom ROM is put on it with 2.3 or higher, it will be much better. It takes a FULL SD card. I don't know why "micro sd" was noted above, but technically it can take those as well. (Who would want to use slower micro when you have full)

Video recording is awesome as well. Great sound and quality. Video chat on the 3G network

Best Android. 1/3 the price of a ipud and has great functionality and value. Love the 7 inch screen, fits in jacket pocket, and once paired with a 32 gb card, you can load it up with movies, you tibe stuff, movies games etc. Support has been outstanding (installing cinema codecs) and I couldnt be happier. Super speed, cleans up with a dust cloth (piano finish looks sexy, but attracts the fingerprints). Love the ability to use my own files without the cost and hassle of itunes, and AppBrain stores all of my apps offline, just like Itunes . Best tablet deal on the market today! Long battery life, great price point, micro sd expandability, access to market and ability to customize just about anything. Tablets are still a hard sell to most, but one of the most important factors is price. The lower the price (without being too low to raise suspicions of quality), the more likely consumers are willing to part with their money. At $400, the 16GB, Wi-Fi-only version of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer is the cheapest Honeycomb tablet on the market and undercuts the lowest price iPad 2 by $100. But, what sacrifices did Asus make to get it that low?

Design and features
Before even powering up the Asus Eee Pad Transformer, we were struck by its wider-than-normal left and right bezel, each measuring about 1.1 inches. That's a lot wider than the Motorola Xoom's 0.5-inch bezel. We also noticed that the Transformer is the longest of the new generation of tablets, measuring a full 10.7 inches in width compared with the Xoom's 9.8 inches. Make no mistake, this is a large tablet; it's the largest Honeycomb tablet we've seen, in fact.

Ziezaua Announc a New Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Samsung releasing its latest Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the United States. The device is now available for pre-order at BestBuy. However, if pre-ordering isn’t an option for you and you want the tablet in your hands now, head to New York where the tablet is a actually available for purchase at the Best Buy Store in Union Square.

For reasons only known to Samsung, (lack of supply maybe?) they have decided to sell the product initially at only one location for the entire United States. If you live elsewhere in the country, you will need to wait until June 17, when the device will go on sale everywhere else.

As of now, Samsung is only releasing the Wi-Fi version of the tablet. This is available in two versions – the 16 GB and 32 GB version. The 32 GB version is priced at $599 while the 16 GB variant will be $100 cheaper at $400.

Here’s a quick look at the specs on this one. As you may already know, it runs Android Honeycomb and is powered by the famed Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor running at 1Ghz. It has a 10.1 inch display capable of a resolution of 1280*720. There are cameras at the front and the rear with resolutions of 2MP and 3MP respectively. Also, this is THE tablet to get if you like your tablets thin. That’s right, this beauty is even thinner than the not too old iPad 2 measuring just .34 inches thick.

Knowing the quality of the 7 inch Galaxy tab, this 10.1 inch tablet looks like it might be one of the premier Android Tablets on the market.

Availability
