It's been a long time since I've done one of these. And I apologize for the lack of posting/ updating but life is getting in the way of blogging in a major way between work and family. But these thing happen, no?

* Yesterday a bum asked me for money and then started flirting with me. lol Gotta love Boston!!

* Did you guys see Big Boi on Law & Order last night? Check him out. I'm trying to get past the fact that he was eaten by a pack of hyenas in that episode though. lol Guess it won't be a recurring role..

* Did you guys watch The Fat Bachelor on FOX last night? I started watching for a little bit but these bitches were crying entirely too much for me. It irritated me. It's like "okay I get it you're fat and people made fun of you." I don't know about you guys but no matter what you looked like, people found something to make fun of you about. If you weren't fat, maybe you were too skinny, maybe it was your teeth, your clothes, your glasses, or how your mother dropped you off to school in pink sponge rollers and house shoes. We all go through it, so get over yourself!!

* I am going to try to stay off facebook for a week and see how that goes. Because as it is now, I am on there way too much. Not so much yapping with my peoples (which I do a lot of) but all those games!! Sorority Life, Glamour Age, Yoville, UNO!!(uno's my ish!) Mafia Wars, Farmtown, and a milli others. I can't get off!! :)

*I've been hearing a lot about Tiny & Toya, Wendy Williams' show and other shows that a fuckery enthusiast such as myself would love to watch, but my cable situation is null. Should I bite the bullet and get cable guys?? Or just find the episodes online? And where can I find themb online??

Speaking of which, I'm dying to see that #1 Ladies Detective Agency show. I saw the first half of the season and I really enjoyed it. But now I can't find any episodes anywhere. Woe woe woe

*I need to move. Mostly because dogs aren't allowed where I live and I really want a dog. Really really. lol Searching for a new place is a pain in the azz.

Wow I can't believe this. I was just talking to a girl about that Basketball Jones book and how much I love E. Lynn Harris' books.

E. Lynn Harris, the African-American, openly gay author, died while on a West Coast book tour. He was 54.

He was on tour for his most recent book, Basketball Jones, about the gay lover of an NBA star.

Harris grew up in Little Rock and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he continued to teach courses through last fall.

He self-published his first book, Invisible Life, after failing to find a publisher. He sold it himself at black-owned bookstores and beauty salons until Anchor Books published it as a trade paperback in 1994.

Harris wrote 11 books, with four million copies of his work in print. His writing also appeared in Essence, the Washington Post Sunday Magazine, and Sports Illustrated.

His novel If This World Were Mine was nominated for a NAACP Image Award and won the James Baldwin Award for Literary Excellence. Abide with Me was also nominated for a NAACP Image Award. His anthology Freedom in this Village won the Lambda Literary Award in 2005. Over the past three years, he has also been named to Ebony’s “Most Intriguing Blacks” list, Out Magazine’s “Out 100″ list, New York Magazine’s “Gay Power 101″ list, and Savoy’s “100 Leaders and Heroes in Black America” list.

"CARSON CITY, Nev.—A Las Vegas man has won a battle with the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles over his "HOE" license plate, which the DMV wouldn't renew on grounds he was using a slang reference to whores.

The high court ruled in favor of the American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada and William Junge, who said he had the personalized plate from 1999 to 2006, when the DMV refused to let him renew it.

The memorial service was nice but some of it was a bit too showy for me. I feel like some people took it as a promo opportunity. Like WTF was Kobe Bryant doing there? and those Britain's Got Talent people? *sigh* I guess.

Is this supposed to be cute or clever or something? Because I just find it disrespectful. All they had to say was something like " Music Legend Michael Jackson dies at age 50".

All the news reports can't seem to get away from taking small jabs at Michael Jackson . It's like they can't help themselves from saying negative things. From his "rented mansion" (as if half of Hollywood isn't renting mansions. Pshh! ) to that lawyer and so called "friend of the family" suggesting that Michael Jackson was abusing prescription drugs and insinuating that as the reason for his death.. Got dammit. When someone in my family dies I don't immediately after hearing the news start talking about how much of a drunk he was and suggest that it's prob the reason he died. Some shit you just keep to yourself. That kind of talk is more for the kitchen table then the press.

Instead let's focus on the influence he had and the barriers he broke musically. MTV wouldn't even consider playing a Black artist until Michael Jackson came around. Even I had me a purple leather MJ inspired jacket back in the days. (I still remember it too! That jacket was the SHYT!!) A few of my cousins had MJ on their birthday cakes back in the days. I remember my cousin Candace had a fit because she "didn't want my them to cut his face".. lol When a new video of his came out, baby that shit was a family event. We'd be too hype (the kids AND the adults). And we'd try to copy his dance moves, all that shit. l Back in the 80's, child I thought I was in L.O.V.E. with me some Michael Jackson. Remember the movies he did?? Moonwalker and all that. He was the best on that music/dancing level. No one is touching him. And heads are still imitating him. Justin Timberlake bit MJ's style so hard it ain't even funny. Others have too but I just can't stand Justin Timberlake so I had to point that out. lol

Anyway I say all this to say let's just focus on the positive and leave all the alleged shit out of it. I know that if I was arrested for something, went to trial and was proved to be innocent, and everybody was still tryna say I'm guilty, I'd be upset. So let's try to be on some "do unto others" type shyt. Please and thank you..

Chase Abrams started taking college classes at the same time he was in high school.The next thing he knew, he was attending two graduations.

Abrams was involved in the Accelerated College Enrollment and Pre-Accelerated College Enrollment program (ACE-PACE) at Cal Sate Los Angeles.

"It's for people who just want to get their feet wet and take a couple college classes, and I ended up doing the extreme," Abrams said.

He graduated May 29 from Sierra Canyon High School. He graduated Saturday from Cal State LA with a bachelor's degree.

Abrams was a Radio, TV and Film major, but he also exceled at time management. His typical day began at 5 a.m. with a workout at the gym.

6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.: Take sister to Calabasas.
7:30 a.m. - 8 a.m.: Drive to Chatsworth
8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Attend high school classes
3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.: Football practice

"Then, I'd go all the way from 4:45 without a shower to Cal State LA," Abrams said.

He finished his college classes at 10 p.m. Abrams used one weekend day to study. He spent the other weekend day with friends.

"I still had the full high school experience all around," he said. "I went to prom, had a girlfriend for 2 1/2 years."

I say what what in the f*ck!! Sometimes I feel like my 1 son is too much. He's expensive. Do you know that the most cost effective day camp i could find was still $200 per 2 week session.. How long is the summer? yeah add that shit up. Multiply it by 21 and you feel this dumb ass's pain...

- I never take the first thing on the shelf in a store. (unless I need 2 check the date on it)I always go back to the 3rd or 4th one because I feel like people are always messing in the ones right up front.

- I literally started planning for this weekend on Tuesday.

- I think the coaches for my son's basketball team SUCK azz. They don't have the kids practice through the week at all.. and wonder why they've lost 3 games in a row. WTF??

- I took my son to practice ball with his friends last weekend and he punched some teenage kid in the face. I expected the kid to hit back but he didn't. I wouldn't have stopped him if he did though.

- I bullshyt on the internet entirely too much.

- I wore a wig to work today (which I never do)and everyone loved it. this is crazy. lol One girl said " Omigod I want to take a picture of you" Like "Woah"!

- I've been bringing in a turkey sandwich for lunch (mon- thu. Friday we have a company sponsored lunch. holla!) for over a month straight give or take a few days. I used to still be hungry afterward but now I can barely finish it. hmph.

- My ipod charger is MIA since last week. Tragedy....

- And speaking of MIA, my cousins tried to make me feel bad about not joining them in Miami for Memorial Day this year. But I have my own place, so independence begets bills honey. On top of that I just bought a car and they don't have any real bills or things like that to think about. Ya know? Last time I checked, Miami wasn't going anywhere..

- Cran-Raspberry juice (& Dole's pine orange banana)came down from heaven specifically for me to mix my drinks with. Yes Lawd..

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Authorities said two men called 911 after they were robbed at gunpoint while trying to buy 20 pounds of marijuana. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office reported that the men went to a home Monday with $12,000 to buy the drugs. Two men at the home jumped them, took their money and drove off. A report said the victims jumped in their own vehicle to follow and one of them called 911 for help.
"I was just held at gunpoint trying to buy drugs. We're following the dude right now," the caller told a Sheriff's Office dispatcher....the dispatcher urged the men not to follow the car and put themselves in further danger, Davidson said.

"But he's got my money," the caller said. "I don't want him to get away with my money."
