Our New Addition

Hello fellow Bloggers, I would like to introduce to you our new baby.We got ourselves a puppy and it's an Alaskan Malamute. I've always been fascinated about this breed and here we are owning one.

My hubby picked the name and we called him Neo with his real name as "Neo Grey Simon". He's such a riot but such a sweet pup.

We couldn't be any happier. We have him for a month now and he's getting bigger everyday.

He is quite a handful but he really makes our lives colorful and that's the beauty of it.

People might wonder because we live in Key West how are we dealing with the heat and the pup. I say, we make him comfortable of course. Loving and taking care of him. I believe a good and responsible pet owner is about providing your pet's needs and training.

Update: My Favorite Month

It's been 55 days since I was here.

So, Here I am once again updating some things about what's going on with my life.

FEBRUARY

*On February 7th, I turned 26. It was my first time celebrating with my husband, we didn't really plan on doing something. Everything we did were on-the-spot. We ended up, playing tourist... We did the Conch Train where we get to be toured around downtown Key West with our Guide showing and telling us the historical backgrounds of every location we pass by. After which we did the Sunset Sail w/ free drinks and some conch chowder. It was really fun... Awesome experience! Anyone who would ever go to Key West should try the Sunset Sail - Highly Recommended! At night time we went to "Better than Sex" it's a Desert Restaurant w/ cool Menus. It has that romantic and dark setting and very delicious desert. TRY IT! Even thought they were minor mishaps, I still manage to enjoy my day with my man. It was something special, that for sure I will never forget.

*February 14th, Valentine's Day! - I never had a date on valentines day but not on this year, I got my first date and that's with my husband. We had our first valentine's date at Benihana (Japanese Restaurant). It was a little bit late for dinner but it didn't stop us from going through our plan. It was really fun watching the chef make the food in front of you. All in all - It was fun and memorable!

*February 21st and 22nd the day I got my first car and got my license the next day. I couldn't ask for more. I'm indeed blessed. It was very fulfilling and very exciting to finally drive and have my own car. So thankful for my husband support and being positive all the way.

In conclusion, My February was WONDERFUL and SURPRISING!

A lot of 1st happened and I will always treasure those memories.

The Weekend Get-Away

Last week was so special for me, finally got off together with my husband so our plan to get away from Key West came true. We had a great time together. We stayed two nights at Miami Beach and watch the Cirque Du Soleil : Totem which was by far AMAZING! - worth every penny. Too add up, I got Saturday Off which was really a surprise for me. So, instead of going back we decided to head west and went all the way to Fort Myers, FL. It was a long drive through the Alligator Alley while on the road I decided to look for a place to stay and found some great deals for a very nice hotel because of my employee discount we couldn't be any happier. I was glad we found that hotel. We visited Fort Myers Beach and was astonish how white and silky the sand was.

After looking around, we decided to get dinner somewhere and forgot that it's Friday night and that all of the restaurants are gonna be PACKED! and I mean totally crowded. We ended up eating at Texas Roadhouse. After dinner we did our usual Friday-Movie-Night and watch "Mama". The movie wasn't scary but at least it had a story. It was chilly the entire night too but was tolerable.

All in all our mini-vacay was fun and exciting. I would say the fun and the things we did were just an icing on the cake what was important for us was that we're together.

Finally got two days off.
It's been awhile, I was looking forward to this day. Unfortunately, my husband is not home again. I was hoping I would be able to spend my two days off with him but of course the Military has to interfere. I wish I knew someone here, so I could go around and look around downtown, or be able to drive around but sadly I don't have a DL yet(embarrassing!), so I'm stuck here. I'm trying to make myself productive today, seems like I'm being so lazy and really not in the mood to do anything.

In the brighter side, my man ask me to try to get next week's Thursday and Friday off (the 17th and 18th). I ask him why he said he's off on those days and won't tell me his plans. So, I'm left wondering what it will be and let's just leave it that way until then. I tried to ask my boss about it and hopefully it will be approve, Finger's CROSSED! I'm really hoping that I get those days off and I'm sure is looking forward for whatever my husband is planning to do. I haven't spent even just for a day with my husband this year yet, so I'm really anticipating for this and hopefully, the military would be good to us next week.

New Year and Thankful

Happy New Year, Everyone!

My New Year didn't start well but I'm pretty sure I can get it back on track.

The husband is away and I'm caught up at work.

The holidays are over and boy, it was fast.

Last Year:

It started really good and gave me a lot of surprises. It was a good one of course! My life change unexpectedly. Have been given a lot of opportunities.

This Year:

I'm not expecting it to be perfect but hopefully it would be an easy one.

Everything Happens for a Reason.

ONE Important thing...

I'm thankful to still see the dawn of the new year and to live another year.

Holiday Blues

Christmas Day just ended and it's time for the hubby to come home. Actually, he's not home right now and didn't spend Christmas with me. It was a sad day when christmas arrived, It felt lonelier than ever. This also happened to be my Third Christmas away from my 1st Home (Philippines).

Why I was alone on Christmas?

Work didn't let me go, In the industry that I'm in Holidays are the busiest. It was sad, knowing you can't even have a break for the most wonderful time of the year but we're working in order for other families' Holidays to be special. It's a fact but what can I do?

Why my man was not with me at Christmas?

It wasn't because of work, but because it was already planned. Before I even got the job my man and I already planned to go to his parents for the holidays. It work out for him but not for me and my work. A lot of people, thought we should have been together for Christmas. I Agree but in a certain level. There are some things to consider and I understand compeletely even if it was really sad for me.

What did I do on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?

NOTHING really. For me it was just like those ordinary days, but everytime I check on my social media networks then sadness came. Anyway, overall it was just some boring day for me.

Today's a new day and I'm excited to see my husband again...

Random Thoughts

I've been thinking about writing something lately but I just can't think of something worth sharing. Well, first, I've been so stressed at work that I can't even continue to expound something in order to make it something worth blogging about. Second, nothing really that interesting to blog out.

So, I've wondered if I could just post something that I feel like worth sharing to the world. It doesn't need to be really interesting to everyone after all this is my blog. Whether you like it or not this is my life.

One of the things that stops me from posting random stuff is because of those people who I don't want to read my Blog might find this and use it against me (not that I have enemies, but I'm just being cautious). I feel like I'm arguing with myself right now and it kinda sounds crazy.

I thought about this a lot...

And what I have decided is just to post random stuff. Whatever I feel like I have the right to say but still know my limits and still respect other people's boundaries. So, I might express an opinion, but I won't judge someone...

Hopefully, anybody who reads this would understand...

Just expressing some thoughts... Trying to blog more and share some views to everyone.

Hurt and Sad

I was never born perfect, I may have flaws but i always tried to please people specially those whom I love so dear. Wanting them to be proud of what you've become but on a certain point they will get used to those good things you've done and some achievements you've made and just one err would cause them to be disappointed in you and begin to compare you with other people who have done something much better. And I guess in my personal opinion the hardest part is being compared to someone. You will start to ask yourself, am I not good enough? Is there something wrong with me? How can I ever please them?

Simple questions with mind boggling answers. Bare with me guys for I am just expressing how I feel tonight. It is not easy being me. Hopefully, somehow... Someday... The time would come that my folks would truly understand that I'm not a kid anymore and I have my own personality and my own way of living. I'm a full grown woman who is married and is starting a life of my own.

I hope and pray to God for some guidance and to uplift my spirit and to cast away the sadness I'm feeling.

I love my folks so dearly and I respect them very much. My only wish is for them to respect my decisions and my boundaries.

Good News

It's been weeks since I blog and a lot of things had happened.

First, the long wait has finally came to an end.

I AM OFFICIALLY A RESIDENT!

I can now feel at ease living here. (Just a side note, I wasn't an illegal alien at all but I was just in a process of changing my status). But just to get those changes finalize made it felt better.

I GOT HIRED!

I'm extremely grateful and feel so blessed. I started a week ago and on training right now and so far all is good. Having to work again is just a relief for me. It feels so good to do something again.

My next stop is to pass my road driving test.

Everything just seems to be taking it's place. So happy and thankful specially to GOD for pouring me with all these blessings. Patience is truly a virtue.

Game Over... NOT!

Hello there fellow bloggers,

The waiting game is finally over.

Yes, I have the decision. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job.

You know, I really felt the connection between the managers and supervisors towards me though, but It seems like someone is more equipped than I am for them.
What else can I say? It's their decision anyway.

I'm a little bit sad knowing that I didn't get it (God knows how long I waited for this), but I always look on the brighter side. Since I didn't get it then it's not for me. I know that there's something out there for me. I will just have to keep my hopes up.

One thing I have notice too is that most employers are really having a hard time hiring people who are involve in the military thinking that this person is not gonna stay for so long. I've read articles about this and I never quite believe it until I experience it first hand. Well, I do understand their concerns but this should not be an issue for them. I mean, they should be able to understand and have some consideration to some. Specially, if that person is very much qualified.

I still believe that I will find a job soon.

Everything happens for a reason.

The Waiting Game

I Hope and Pray that I will get a job soon, I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time.

Ever since the USCIS gave me an authorization for employment I jump right-in all the job listings here in Key West, then, I got three calls for an interview from the three different establishments that I applied for. I have been anxiously waiting for the results. I’ve been to three interviews for this one company which I really want to work with. During the interview I honestly enjoyed it, I feel like they like me and I really like them as well. I feel so comfortable just about talking them; they are very professional and very friendly. That’s one of the things I look forward in a job the people you work with. I hope I’ll get the job and I’m still waiting for their final say just the wait is just killing me.

I believe that if this is really for me then it’s going to be, if not then I’m sure there’s something out there that’s meant for me. But, whatever their decision is I will respect it.

I really believe that everything happens for a reason.

I haven't been blogging for awhile... August was just too busy for me. The In-laws were here for about a week then my Husband's Birthday came and just a lot of outdoor stuff going on. So, I'm thinking of sharing some pictures of what kept me so busy. Here they are:

Michael once again caught a grouper not big enough but at least.

And saw a Pod of Dolphins swimming along the open sea...

We also did some Lobster Hunting while Snorkeling... I couldn't believe how fast this Lobsters' swim.. they are indeed very tricky to catch....Did it twice... First time we did it Michael caught 3 all by himself...

The Second Time was with Michael's co-worker Matt. And together they caught four (4). It's suppose to be 6 but the other two were too small.

Coast Guard Day!

Today (August 4, 2012), marks the 222nd Birthday of the United States Coast Guard.

I'm new to this CG Life but so far it's been good to me. What I love about it? the moving part, maybe some of you might think it's weird but, I'm really used to moving. All my life it's been like constant move and I love traveling so that really helps a lot. I am very much thankful to have a supportive and understanding husband despite the busy schedules and I'm also happy that he enjoys what he's doing.

Looking forward for more years with the Coast Guard. ^_^

Where did the time go?!

It's August already! It's Hubby's Birthday Month and the In-Laws are visiting for a week and still anxiously waiting for a very important letter, hopefully, it would come this month. (I will expand on this when I get the final say)

This month's gonna be a BLAST, I hope!

My Missions and Goals for this month:

* Receive a GOOD news Letter and get a job, I'm really dying to get one.
* To read more of my books and get a shelf for them.
* Make myself more productive and less worried.
* Bake a Lemon Cake for my Hubby's Birthday! ^_^

I can't wait to get started.
