Colored Water

Pastel morning

Ever went to a fishing jetty, with all the fishing trawlers resting. Yeah resting a much-deserved rest, fighting overnight into the rough sea's and storms, cold winds. They really go through a lot in their lifetime which gives them the rusty and rugged look filled with amazing textures and colors..

Have been always attracted to this man-made creation, though they stink. the place itself is so happening and lively, living so much room for amazing compositions.

The above artwork was painted from a picture provided by my friend Omkar Surendra Sirsat, which was clicked at a betim fishing jetty in Goa, when they had gone for outdoor painting at that particular spot, painting in such places is usually very challenging due to conditions until and unless you find a comfortable place to sit and some shade, I would always suggest to just do some pencil sketches if you can't paint, or dedicate a session for pencil sketches before starting painting for a better composition. the material used here are chitrapat papers and camlin watercolor tubes along with sennelier tubes. i mostly paint with mop brushes which i believe are best for watercolors here i used Raphael Size 4 by sennelier and though I have been testing different material I have stuck with sennelier for some time now as they are good quality at a reasonable price if you are a camlin color user and want to go one notch higher I believe sennelier is the brand to go with that's what I have done. The colors are creamy and little does the work also they provide good intensity. The range of colors they offer is pretty wide and amazing.

wont talk much about my paintings , as words can't do the justice to my works or else I would have written a poetry rather than painting, I believe I am good with paints than words though I will try to explain every bit of my works especially the technical stuff and small secrets which might help the readers, i hope you all having good time let me know what I can do to improve my works and blog, thank you.

Rainy Day

2019-03-09T21:15:00.001-08:00

Painted from the photograph which I had clicked long back in Pomburpa, Goa, a lovely Goan village. this particular spot caught the attention of me and my artist friends with whom i had pretty wonderful outdoor painting session. it was a late evening then, so we had little advantage of light, managed to click some pictures which basically captured the silhouette of the scene.
The idea of converting the particular place into monsoon poetry came to me during monsoons when I was inspired to paint because of the beautiful atmosphere around, I always consider monsoons as the watercolor season. with limited colors, I have interpreted monsoons here the colors used here are indigo and sap green by daniel smith and Fabriano artistico paper which works great for my painting style and wet on wet technique, high quality material gives high quality results andi would advice myfriendsto always look for good material than ordinary will talk more about my wet on wet technique and will include videos explaining how I paint the monsoons skies till than goodbye and do write to me your feedback is valuable.

Review on Chitrapat Water Color Paper

2019-03-04T22:58:00.001-08:00

Recently one of my friend introduced me to Chitrapat Watercolor Paper, I am always excited to use new material this one was first on my list to try when I get. so last evening I happen to paint on this paper my artist friends have been using this paper for a while and the results were really good but the painted with dry on dry technique which didn't really put the paper to test, so tried wet on wet technique and the paper passed the test the surface performs really well even with rough use and the colors flow on it similar to thick cartridge paper. very happy with the paper so far will post more works and reviews on it in coming days
