Naija talking drum queen, Ara, has opened up that the only regret she
has in her 39 years of living, is that she is no longer a vir-gin. The
crux of the matter is that she lost it while married to her now
estranged husband and the father of her son, Saliu Olalekan, whom she
claimed was still legally married with kids after tying the knot with
her at an elaborate wedding ceremony in June 2009.

In her words: "How I wish I were still a virgin. Yeah, but it's a good thing I have a beautiful son from my previous marriage."

On the state of her divorce from the father of her son, Ara said:

"It is not even a divorce. As at the time we got
married, he was still legally married to another woman. I wasn't aware.
So automatically our marriage was annulled.

"We lived together for three years. I don't have any regret because a
beautiful child came out of it. If I say I have a regret, then my son
will be a regret. I don't have to regret it because of my son," she told
Encomium.

According to an article in the Punch of August 11th, the Alhaji Sule
Maitama-led Northern Elders Forum, NEF has “given the president of
Nigeria till October to recover the abducted 234 Chibok girls or forget
his 2015 re-election bid.”

The position of the NEF is worrying to say the least. It is reasonable
to say that if this was any other nation, the only call will be for the
president’s unreserved urgent resignation. Many more potent leaders have
resigned for 100-fold more trivial crimes in nations across the world.

It therefore is seriously distressing that after five years of unabated
terror; after five years through which not a single sponsor of terror
was arrested by the Jonathan administration; after five years through
which up to 100,000 northern based Nigerians have been killed in
violence and over four million mostly northern farmers have been
displaced; after five years in which Benue farmers have been massacred
with ease; after five years during which billions in property, livestock
and businesses have freely been destroyed in unchecked terror; after
five years during which the economy of Nigeria and the north in
particular has been irreversibly destroyed along with hope for the
youth; after five years during which corruption has been the order of
the day in Nigeria to tunes of billions of dollars looted by the
administration; after five years during which Bayelsa state has secured
its spot as the most polluted land on the entire planet; after five
years in which Nigeria has become the worst nation for dangerous high
sea piracy in the world.... this list can go on indefinitely: the NEF
figures that the rescuing of what is left of the eternally cheated,
deprived and abandoned girls is an important criteria and condition for
determining not only Jonathan staying in power another day, but his
re-electability.

Contrast this to the position of the Christian Association of Nigeria,
CAN, the minute in August of 2012 they simply heard the president of
Nigeria state that “Boko Haram were like his siblings and this is why he
deals with them with a soft approach, “kid gloves.” CAN immediately
voted no-confidence and called for his resignation.

By the above statement, the NEF has proven disconnect with the
sufferings of Nigerian people. The NEF has proven lack of sensitivity to
the plight of the Chibok familes and the abducted girls. The NEF has
proven that it does not understand or relate to the true degree and
extent of irrecoverable damage from the permitted Boko Haram terror to
Nigeria and the north in particular for centuries to come. The NEF has
turned a blind eye to the prevailing feature of Boko Haram terror, the
group being constantly armed and equipped with weapons and military
tanks and APC’s directly from the nation’s army, under Jonathan and his
service chiefs.

The NEF is proving by such approval of the state of affairs in Nigeria
thus–far, that the hundreds who die every day in the northeast, killed
with bullets from Nigeria’s official military cache, procured with the
nation’s oil money which are now in the hands of Boko Haram; killed with
military tanks bought with Nigeria’s wealth, which have been
transferred to Boko Haram by the corrupt, insensitive and clueless
actions of the current administration, are of no concern to them. The
NEF does not believe in accountability and justice for past crimes, by
making such a submission. The NEF does not hold the president to account
for eating with and protecting the sponsors of terror, while hundreds
of thousands of Nigerian poor masses are killed every day.

We believe that the only call from any responsible Nigerian and foreign
organization at this time that Nigeria has become one of the most
terrorized and robbed nations on the planet, now exporting terror to its
neighbors, is the call for the immediate resignation and/or impeachment
of the leadership of Nigeria. Anything short of this is tantamount to a
betrayal of the people served and represented. Nigeria is not catching
up as it faces more unpredictable challenges like Ebola. We need a
leadership that connects with the precarious, desperate plight of the
ordinary, 'mere' masses.
It has been revealed that the Liberian Government was aware that Patrick
Sawyer, its citizen who brought the Ebola virus into Nigeria, had
contracted the virus from his late sister, yet cleared him to travel to
Nigeria for a conference organised by the Economic Community of West
African States [ECOWAS].

Documents showed that Mr. Sawyer’s employers, ArcelorMittal, an iron
mining company, suspended him from work and isolated him after it became
aware that he had contact with his sister who died of the virus on July
8. The company also issued an internal memo to staff of the company
informing them that Mr. Sawyer had been referred to the Liberian Health
ministry for testing and close observation.

“A family member of an ArcelorMittal Liberia employee died on Tuesday,
July 8th, in Monrovia due to a confirmed case of the Ebola virus,” the
July 11 edition of Satellite, an internal newsletter of ArcelorMittal
Liberia, said. “The employee had minimal contact with the victim, at the
state where the virus was infectious.

“Doctors say the risk of potential transfer to any member of the
ArcelorMittal staff or contractors is very low. The employee has
submitted to the Ministry of Health for a medical examination for
possible Ebola infection, and has also requested the Ministry of Health
to make the result available to ArcelorMittal Liberia and its close
affiliates.

“There is no evidence to suggest that the employee has been infected.
Under the Ministry of Health guidelines, the employee is being monitored
on a daily basis and will continue to do so for a period of 21 days.
During this time the employee will be absent from work.”

According to Premium Times, the July 25 edition of Satellite, which announced Mr. Sawyer’s death, reads:

“Patrick was last at the Buchanan site (of AncelorMittal) on 9th July
when he informed us about the death of his sister. Having informed us of
this news, Patrick was submitted to the Ministry of Health for a
medical observation and isolation and requested not to return to work
until he had passed through the incubation period. He has not been at
the Buchanan site or in any ArcelorMittal office since that time.”

But despite being under isolation and observation for the deadly
disease, the Liberian Government, through its Deputy Finance Minister
For Fiscal Affairs, Sebastian Muah, cleared Mr. Sawyer to travel to
Nigeria for an ECOWAS convention in Calabar.

The deputy minister personally admitted approving the trip in an online
discussion forum, where some Liberian citizens raised questions about
his action and competence.

Mr. Muah could not be reached for comments on Monday. His mobile phone was switched off the numerous times PREMIUM TIMES called.

But the Liberian Minister of Information, Lewis Brown, admitted to this
newspaper that his government knew Mr. Sawyer was possibly infected by
the virus before he travelled to Nigeria.

“I can confirm to you that he was advised by the Chief Medical Officer
at the Ministry of Health not to leave the country because he was under
observation,” Mr. Brown said by telephone from Monrovia, the Liberian
capital. “It was regrettable that he left the country while being
observed.

“We felt he had a duty to his colleagues to tell them that he was under
observation for the disease. We also felt he had a duty to our country
and yours (Nigeria) not to leave Liberia so as not to endanger the lives
of others.”

Asked why a Liberian government official approved Mr. Sawyer’s trip to
Nigeria even when the administration was watching him for Ebola, Mr.
Brown said he had no information that the Deputy Minister, Mr. Muah,
okayed the journey.

He however explained that such an administrative slip was possible at
the time Mr. Sawyer left Liberia for Nigeria because at that time,
inter-agency cooperation among government departments was low.

“It’s possible the health ministry was monitoring him (Mr. Sawyer) but
the finance ministry did not know,” Mr. Brown said. “It was a slip and
we have learned from it regrettably.”

He said the Patrick Sawyer incidence had now compelled Liberia to rework its procedures.

“Now the practice is to share the names of everyone under observation
with all other agencies, including the airport, so they cannot leave the
country,” the minister said.

“Before the Patrick Sawyer incidence, we did not have that kind of
cooperation. We were not locking people under observation down. We were
only bringing them to the isolation centre after they showed signs of
the disease.”

Liberian newspaper, The New Dawn, which saw the CCTV footage recorded at
the James Spriggs Payne’s Airport, Monrovia, moments before Mr. Sawyer
boarded an Asky Airline plane to Lagos on July 20, reported that he
looked “terribly ill” and wore a “sad countenance“ like someone in
severe pain.

Apparently overtaken by “excruciating pain,” he, at a point, laid flat
on his stomach on the floor in the corridor of the airport.

The paper also reported the footage as capturing Mr. Sawyer sitting
alone and avoiding bodily contacts with other passengers who came close
to him at the boarding gate of the airport as he awaited his flight to
Lagos.

Mr. Sawyer became severely ill on the plane and was taken to First
Consultant Hospital, Obalende, from the Murtala Mohammed Airport in
Lagos.

Reports of events before he travelled to Nigeria and soon after his
death have now shown that top Liberian government officials were aware
of his trip to Nigeria and appeared to have done nothing to stop him.
The reports have also shown that Mr. Sawyer did not escape from where he was quarantined as reported by some newspapers.

In fact, the actions of some Liberian officials suggested that they were
more concerned with getting Mr. Sawyer to the convention venue in
Calabar and cared very little about the health risk he posed.

After he died, First Consultant Hospital issued a statement saying it
resisted immense pressure from Liberian officials to discharge Mr.
Sawyer from the hospital to enable him to attend the convention in
Calabar, with diplomats saying he had a key role to play at the
convention.

Nigeria was free of Ebola until July 20 when Mr. Sawyer arrived.

Life was beautiful in the days of our fathers and grand fathers, but
things have change since ladies started their wild claim of equal rights
with men. The last census in Nigeria showed that there are more women
than men and the last governorship election in Osun State showed that
the women voting population is over 50%. So, why is the craze of
one-man/one-woman increasing in this setting? Who will marry the left
over ladies?

If babes continue with this craze of one-man/one-woman, things like this will be rampant. Ladies, be guided!

Money is good, gba be! Diminutive actor Osita Iheme popularly
known as PawPaw is living large as his acting career is steadily on the
rise and the money is rolling in. The guy has just acquired a landed
property which is said to be situated right inside an exclusive and the
most expensive estate in Owerri, the capital of Imo State at an
approximate cost of about N100 million. Too much money!

The Estate, New Owerri Estate is the hottest place in Owerri where super
big boys from the state erect their eye popping mansions. Congrats to
Osita for the wise move. More photos of him living large below...
Teddy Don Momoh, husband of late singer Kefee, has finally broken his
silence after the untimely death of his Gospel singer wife, who died at
31. Teddy who attended the recently held Encomium Black and White party
in Lagos granted the magazine his first interview after her death, where
he spoke about their relationship and her uncompleted project.

"I can't say I am going to miss her because there are uncountable things
to miss. She was a complete, Godly, highly intelligent and strong
woman. All these I will miss and also not having her by my side forever.
She was a woman that knew what to say to me to keep me fired up. The
last memories we had together were shared between Nigeria and America.
We shot our first video together here in Nigeria as certified video
producers and directors. It was fun to see her contribute highly and
creatively in the camera positioning and I told her 'You are what the
industry has been waiting for'. This happened a day before she travelled
back to America."

Speaking about her uncompleted project, he said...
"Before her untimely death, she was working on her
beautiful album from the best of both world compilation double CD and I
would be putting finishing touches to the album. She had two projects
for her foundation that she was working on before she travelled.

"But by God's Grace, the team would bring it to realization. Also watch
out for her video compilation that our team would be dropping soon. She
left her legacy and I am asking her fans to support her even now as we
drop songs on iTunes and CD for public consumption," he said.

The spokesperson for the Department of State Services (DSS), Marilyn
Ogar, has claimed that the agency is being haunted by political parties
for rejecting the N14million bribe that was offered to its officials in
Osun State during the last Saturday’s gubernatorial election that was
"convincingly won" by the APC.

Ogar, who stated this on Tuesday at the National Briefing Centre in
Abuja while responding to questions from journalists, said “The director
that was on election duty for the DSS was asked to come and collect
N4million for himself and N10million for the men; the money was
declined, and that is the offence that the DSS has committed.

“The rejection of the money is bringing a lot of misunderstanding
between political parties and the DSS; it is unfortunate. I want to tell
you, there is a big man occupying a very sensitive position in Osun
State; the man should thank his God that it was not the DSS that
arrested him with the huge sum of money he was found with.”

Maintaining that officials of the agency cannot be induced with money,
Ogar said, “We are well paid; I will say it categorically; our
operations are well funded; N14million as against N200million that was
spent, which one will you go for? People should stop using money to
entice security forces. The federal government and the people of Nigeria
who have engaged us have the capability of taking care of us.”

She said that if security forces were not fully on ground during the
election, the story about Osun State would have been different,
reiterating that political parties should leave security agents out of
politics.

“We thank God that APC won the election in Osun State; there was no bomb
blast because there was enough security presence on ground. The
security forces that assisted in the election in Edo State were the same
ones that went to Ondo, Anambra, Ekiti and Osun,” she added.

So, which party offered the SSS that money? Are they afraid to expose the party?

Two suspected robbers, Sikiru Oyebamiji and Afeez Salami, arrested by
Lagos State Police Command, are of the view that robbing people is more
profitable than their legal job. The duo was arrested in the Mushin area
of Lagos and were also found with a locally-made pistol.

They were nabbed by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SAS, on Friday, July
31, around 12.30am while they were allegedly heading for an operation.

It was further gathered that the duo had taken a cab from Oshodi, and
the vehicle had got to a checkpoint around Mushin where SARS operatives
asked the occupants to alight.

The suspects were said to have ordered the driver to evade the policemen, threatening to shoot him if he refused...

But the operatives arrested the suspects and recovered the pistol. After
their arrest, the suspects confessed that they were nine in the gang.
They also told the police that there were two other locally-made guns
belonging to the gang.

The suspects told Punch that they had taken to robbery because their jobs are not lucrative enough.

24-year-old Oyebamiji who hails from Apomu Ikire, Osun, said he was a cobbler and bus conductor before he joined the gang.

He said, “I was formerly a bus conductor, and a cobbler, before joining
the gang. I sold Indian hemp too. I met the gang leader at a night club,
and he advised me to be a part of them. We are actually nine in the
gang. In most of the operations, we stole phones, gold, laptops,
jewellery, and money. I did not like robbery, but I had no option
because my work did not give me enough money.”

Oyebamiji, who lives on Lawanson Road, Itire, added that he had gone for
about five operations with the gang, and made at least N20,000 from
each.

He said, “I have gone out with the gang on about five occasions. We
robbed in Sango, Ogun State; Egbeda, Ojuelegba and Pleasure Ile Epo
areas in Lagos. We collected money and property in the process. I used
the money from armed robbery to send my son to school. I realised about
N20,000 from each operation.”

The second suspect, 21-year-old Salami also said he took to robbery because his work was not lucrative.

He said, “I was living in the Ojuelegba area, and I was a meat seller
(butcher). But, meat selling was not bringing me much money. So, I
joined the gang. We make use of three guns, but the two other guns are
with the boss. I realised about N15,000 from each robbery operation. I
am actually an orphan. Nobody was taking care of me.”

The Kano State government has reacted angrily over speculated moves by
the FG to commence probe of the financial activities of the Governor
Rabiu Kwankwaso led government in the state.

“We are not only ready for that political brouhaha but we are urging
them to join us in publishing every of their public spending like we do
on weekly basis,” says commissioner.

Speaking to newsmen, the state commissioner of information, Dr Nuhu
Damburam Abubakar, said that they have initiated publications of every
of the extract of their weekly executive council meetings.

He noted that it is the federal government that is so afraid to let Nigerians know what they are doing with public money...

Dr Nuhu noted that the problem with Jonathan Presidency is that they are
not happy that places like Kano and Lagos are being fully controlled by
the opposition and that no serious central government could afford to
lose these states, saying that is why they are trying to cause confusion
in Kano.

He said that in terms of lack of probity and accountability the federal
government under President Goodluck Jonathan is being carpeted over
serious stealing of the nation’s oil which has never happened in the
history of Nigeria. He also noted the allegations of fraudulent acts by
some of Jonathan’s ministers which he intentionally turned blind eye to.

The information commissioner reminded that it is only in Jonathan’s
government that when an allegation of fraud is raised rather than taking
it with all seriousness it required they will turn against the accuser
and ensure that they dealt with him. “This is not speculations, not
allegations, but fact, it happened to Sunusi Lamido Sunusi, it happened
on so many other people who have since fallen apart with the
government”.

Depression is real and it makes people do crazy things, irrespective of
the money you have. Sadly the autopsy report of legendary actor Robin
Williams is out and the verdict is that he committed suicide by hanging
himself with a belt in his home. But before using the belt, Robin had
tried to kill himself by slitting his wrist with a pocket knife. When
that suicide attempt failed, he used a belt.

According to TMZ, the Marin County Deputy Coroner said Robins Williams
was at home alone Monday when he tried slashing his left wrist, but it
only left "acute superficial cuts. He then took a belt, tied it around
his neck and secured it between the closet door and door frame. Williams
was in a seated position, slightly suspended with his right shoulder
against the door."

The actor had been battling depression for a while and he even went to a Minnesota rehab facility last month.

Planning a holiday vacation can be really exciting, after making your
hotel reservations you begin to think of all the places you want to
visit and which attractions you would like to see. However unfortunately
there is a list of things that could go wrong on your trip, like
getting robbed and having all your plans fall through or getting sick.
Almost everyone face some sort of sickness during their holiday which
may be caused due to the rapid change of weather conditions, the
different food or else.

So, we all know how annoying and frustrating it can be to have to worry
about getting sick on your holiday, especially now, when having an
incurable virus around!

Sadly, the recent Ebola outbreak has become a worldwide concern. While
some may believe the best response is to declare a state of emergency, -
some countries have already been put on a travel ban list – it’s
virtually impossible to completely halt movement. Sometimes you’ve just
got to go, and we get that. Which is why it’s important to know how to
protect yourself from the virus while moving around.

This is why Africa’s Largest Online Hotel Booking Portal, Jovago.com has put together some information on how to stay safe from Ebola while on a trip.

Ebola - What Do We Know?

It’s a fast-acting virus which causes a hemorrhagic fever – this
means it causes internal and external bleeding – and is transmitted
through direct contact with bodily fluids of infected people or animals
(yes, animals)

Symptoms of the virus may appear anywhere from 2 to 21 days after exposure, but most commonly within 8-10 days

It has no cure or vaccine, yet

People who display early symptoms can only be treated for those symptoms with hopes of recovery

Thankfully, Ebola is not airborne and can only be spread by people
who are already displaying severe symptoms of the virus – bleeding from
the nose or mouth

The average traveler should be at no risk, but that doesn’t mean one shouldn’t take precautions because you never really know.

How to Protect Yourself?
Simple measures can make the biggest difference

Always wash your hands with soap and only eat food cooked properly

Sanitize your environment and carry a hand sanitizer with you as
well; the virus cannot survive disinfectants, direct sunlight, and heat

Avoid bodily contact with people on a trip, this one is nearly impossible, but you can try; Remember: Sweat is a bodily fluid

Watch what you eat on trips, avoid roadside snacks such as kebabs
and pastries as much as you can; Make sure what you eat is prepared
under sanitary conditions

Visit a health facility anytime you have fever, headache, pain, diarrhea, red eyes rash and vomiting

Educate yourself and everyone around you about the virus - You can
never know too much and every little bit you do know could be helpful to
someone else

If you notice symptoms in yourself or someone else, don’t panic and
don’t delay; Report to the nearest healthcare facility immediately

Do not play with monkeys or baboons

Do not eat plums eaten by bats

Doctors around the world are working on a cure. Meanwhile, be safe.
Protect yourself and those around you. Avoid huge crowds of people and
don’t go anywhere you don’t need to be. We wish you a nice holiday
season. Stay healthy!
Following the recent launch of the war against music copyright
infringers in Nigeria by Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), the
nation’s sole collective management organization for musical works and
sound recordings in a campaign tagged ‘Operation No Hiding Place’, the
society has announced that the necessary machinery has been put in place
to ensure that it becomes impossible to deploy music in any business in
Nigeria without the appropriate license.

This was made known by the Chief Licensing Officer of COSON, Mr. Chibueze Okereke in a
chat with select journalists in Lagos.

Mr. Okereke said that it has become crucial to bring down the full
weight of the law on recalcitrant music users who have failed to pay for
the music they deploy in their businesses.

Said Mr. Okereke, “COSON has for a long time essentially used moral
suasion in dealing with defaulting organizations but we are now left
with no option than to bring down the full weight of the law on those
who have refused to listen. We have given this category of music users a
long rope to act responsibly but have constantly been disappointed with
their show of disregard for the intellectual property rights of the
teeming young Nigerians COSON represents. It has therefore become
imperative to save COSON members and our creative industry from plunging
into irrelevance by addressing what has become the proverbial cog in
the wheel of progress.

"To this end, we have met with our team of lawyers and we have asked
them to leave no stone unturned and teach any organization deploying
unlicensed music in Nigeria an unforgettable lesson. At the end of the
day, each of them will understand that it is far more expensive to
ignore COSON than to obtain a music copyright licence from COSON. Anyone
who has dealt with COSON, will tell you that we do not say things that
we will not do. If we can engage the entire hotel industry in Nigeria
and get an agreement; engage the entire broadcasting industry in Nigeria
and get an agreement; bring a major court action against a state
government and take Nigeria’s largest bank to court, that should tell
one and all that we mean business.

"Let it also be clear that when we talk about the licensing of music, we
are talking about the licensing of both Nigerian music as COSON has
reciprocal agreements giving it the powers to license the music of more
than one hundred countries in Nigeria".

In the words of Mr. Okereke, ‘while COSON is not out to stop the
commercial and public use of music by businesses, we will not hesitate
to fish out those music users who think they can exploit the works of
COSON members and affiliates without adhering to the demands of the law.
We are not joking. This is war without end’.

How can you kill your fellow man because of a woman? The man stupid! A
senior lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, College of Education,
Agbor, who shot a male student of the institution for giving his
girlfriend a hug has been apprehended by men of the Nigeria Police in
Agbor, Delta State.

The lecturer escaped from the scene after he shot the student at close
range for "hugging his girlfriend" during a party in a bar at Alihami
Community.

Sources at the bar said the lecturer was infuriated when the student
walked into the party and hugged the lady who is also a female student
of the same department and before he could sit down, the lecturer ran
into his car, brought out a gun, shot the student and released a volley
of gun shots into the air before escaping from the bar...

The sound of the gun, according to Leadership, attracted men of the
Nigeria Police, Agbor Division who were on patrol of the area. They
intervened and managed to bring the situation under control.

Meanwhile, sources at the police divisional headquarters in Agbor
confirmed the arrest of the lecturer and the gun he used to perpetrate
the act has been recovered.

All things being equal, the stupid lover-man lecturer would be charged to court at the end of investigation.

Do you know that quite a lot of babes who live in Abuja do not have any
correct job that they do? Do you also know that very few of them have
shops or any tangible work place they can point to as office? Yes they
live big and they drive flashy and exotic cars, live in very expensive
apartments, dress to kill, buy expensive things and travel abroad for
holidays.

Some of those babes do not have their parents or relatives in Abuja.
Some are students but still engage in dirt acts, while some don’t even
have anything doing.

We can tell you what they do that get them the big bucks they spend...

They are dirty things. Below are the 5 dirty things Abuja big babes do for money according to Citypeople:

1) Sleeping With Dogs
This debasing acts are mostly put together to form a part of the
p**ngraphy business worldwide and the ladies involved are mostly paid in
dollars.
The men mostly ask them to sleep with dogs while they record it with a camera.

2) Buying Mobile Numbers Of Top Celebrities
Some of them go as far as buying mobile numbers of top celebrities and
politicians from their friends and some family members for as high as
N50,000 just to have a close contact with them. After achieving their
aim, they tell the politician they have once met and he personally gave
them his private line. Some of these men have believed them and have
falling prey afterwards.

3) Dating White Guys
They purposely go around hanging out at places were rich white guys hang around just to meet them.

4) Giving Birth and selling their babies for money
This is now a fast growing negative trend and the market is booming...

5) Hanging out around high brow hotels

You can get the full details in City Peoples magazine...

A medical doctor has revealed how a nursing mother contracted the deadly
Ebola virus at a Lagos hospital. It was learnt that the woman was the
patient who visited the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation staff
clinic on Muri Okunola Street in the Victoria Island area of Lagos.

The doctor, who had a first-hand information of the incident, said the
nursing mother had first visited the First Consultant Medical Centre,
Obalende.

He said, “The lady attended ante-natal at First Consultant prior to the
arrival of the Liberian, Mr. Patrick Sawyer. She was delivered of her
baby at the hospital after which she was discharged.

“A few weeks later, Mr. Sawyer came around and was attended to by health
workers. He was first treated for malaria, then typhoid, before there
was high index of suspicion. He tested positive for Ebola and died.

“Then the woman, who gave birth at the hospital came back to the
hospital for her baby’s immunisation. The nurses who attended to Sawyer
also attended to her.

“When she visited the place again last week, she discovered the place
had been shut down for proper fumigation as a means of control against
Ebola.”

He told Punch that the nursing mother decided to visit a neighbouring
clinic which was the NNPC clinic. He said it was there she began her
treatment after she fell ill.

“She was first treated for Malaria. However, after some medical tests,
there was a high suspicion of Ebola haemorrhagic fever. On Friday, the
Lagos State’s emergency response team on Ebola virus came around and
took her to the Infectious Diseases Hospital,” he added.

The mother and her baby, who were taken away from the hospital on Friday, have been quarantined.

Confirming the report, the Medical Officer of Health, Iru-Victoria
Island LCDA, Dr. Wale Akeredolu, said the patient tested positive to the
Ebola virus after a second test was conducted on her.

He confirmed the incident at a sensitisation programme organised for residents of the Eti-Osa on Monday.

He said “The baby has also been quarantined to see if after the
incubation period of two to 21 days, she would manifest the symptoms of
Ebola.”

The council boss, Abayomi Daramola, appealed to residents not to shirk
their responsibilities on the pretext of running away from the virus.

He said, “This is a trying time in Nigeria. But the presence of Ebola
does not mean people should run away from their responsibilities. The
public apprehension is what can even spread the disease faster. So,
people should just follow personal hygiene, use sanitisers and wash
their hands regularly.”

This development has increased the fear being expressed by many. There
was confusion at the Arrival Hall of the Murtala Muhammed International
Airport on Monday, as a passenger slumped and died.

According to eyewitnesses, the passenger slumped in front of the Port
Health Services office, while waiting to collect his vaccination card,
usually known as Yellow Card.

His body was immediately covered with an orange-coloured cloth and left
unattended. However, the area was barricaded to forestall people coming
there, as people were redirected to pass other routes.

Consequently, many staff and passengers fled the scene following the
man’s collapse, as they feared he was infected with the deadly Ebola
Virus Disease...

According to Punch, the man was supposed to fly to Ghana for medical check-up but suddenly collapsed at the airport and died.

It was also gathered that the passenger, who was of middle age, may be
of Ibo origin. A lady that was seen accompanying him before his sudden
death was seen making calls to their relatives in Igbo language, telling
them what happened.

The incident, which happened at the arrival floor, set fear in the spine
of passengers and other airport officials that witnessed what happened.

The female relative of the dead man, who was crying, was quoted as saying, “Ceekay, please get up; Ceekay, please get up”.

Chika Agatha is one of the rough babes in Nollywood today who is bold,
beautiful and has the gust to play just any role in a movie, including
pulling everything, provided the director is a professional who knows
his job.

In a recent interview you said don’t believe in love, why?
I have come to understand that love means different things in Nigeria.
Different things make people fall in love. It could be money, it could
be séx, it could be for companionship, it could be for whatever reasons
of which some are not really acceptable to me. The only people who have
really shown me what love is, are my parents especially, my dad. If it’s
the way Nigerians have reduced love to buying chocolate and ice cream, I
guess everybody is in love then.

Your b00bs are very big, are they natural?
I’ve never ever dreamt of going under the knife,
whether for my b00bs or for my body. I think God has created me
perfectly. I am beautiful and I know that. I don’t need to go under the
knife to enhance anything on my body. I just need to stay in shape, keep
fit and that’s it. I’m good to go.

How do you deal with your male admirers?
You all know how I handle them. Since they are in love, there are always
bills there to pay so they would have to run away. It’s not like I tell
them to pay my bills though, but I have seen that in Nigeria, the only
way you can actually chase a man out of your life is to tell him, ‘I
need this, I need that’.

For some who can actually give that, I don’t tell them to pay my bills, I
don’t give them that option because I know they are ready to pay and
all that, but I try to let them know I am not the kind of girl you can
buy off with a gift or money. If that is the way to have a relationship,
I should have about five now, but I am looking for something out of the
ordinary. I’m sorry if I’m asking for too much but who am I not to.

Do you believe in vibrators?
Why do I have to get a vibrator when there are so many able men out
there? It could be helpful for some people who do not have relationships
but seriously, Nigerian guys are very able bodied men.

If you want to have a good séx, you should
have one of your friends that you have feelings for, even if you guys
are not really dating. Believe it or not, some men don’t like to
be committed to a woman and don’t believe in dating. Instead of jumping
around from one place to the other with loads of people you don’t really
know, it’s safer to do it with someone you know, someone close to you,
someone you can actually give yourself to.

Not for payment of any kind or for exchange of money. I don’t believe in
that kind of thing. I mean, if a guy walks up to me and tells me I’m
going to pay you this for doing this, it might actually even turn me
off. That’s why I’m me. I don’t know how other girls do that, but séx
for me shouldn’t depend on how much you can give me because I may
probably have séx with you but never "come". I mean who wants to have
séx and not "come"? It’s really annoying.

Once a girl can go through secondary school with her legs closed, the
possibility of her getting married as a fresh virgin is high. As a
result, I do not think people should doubt this lady and her claims.

Actress Seyi Hunter has confirmed that her thing is still close and no
man has entered. Sweet! Born of an Igbo father and Akwa-Ibom mother, she
started out her career in the Yoruba sector and has since featured in
close to twenty films in both Yoruba and English language movies.

Here are some personal information she shared with Showtime Celebrity in Lagos:

Séx and money, which is more important to you in a relationship?

I know nothing about séx, I’m a virgin. Money is more important to me in a relationship.

When and how did you start acting professionally?

I started acting in 2011. I entered the industry through Funsho Adeolu. I met him at a movie location.

What has been your experience since you started?
It’s been tough. But with God on my side, I’ve been able to achieve a lot within the short period I’ve been in the industry.

What challenges do you encounter as an upcoming actress in the industry?
The truth is they don’t really pay us well as upcoming actresses.
Another challenge is getting roles. Though for me, God has been
faithful. When I go to any location or for a production, I get another
job from that one. It’s as if one job gives birth to another. So far,
people I’ve met are people who want to help me, who are willing to stick
their necks out for me. People like Collins Onwochei, Chico Ejiro,
Damijo Efe Young, Funsho Adeolu and others.

What would you say is your selling point?
(Laughs) Look at me now. It’s not as if I’m so endowed physically. I’m
just one humble girl next door. Favour is my selling point.

What’s your view on porno-graphy in the industry?
So far I’ve not done any porno-graphic movie and I’ve not gotten any of such script.

What if you were asked to, would you?
Let that time come first. When I get to that bridge, I would cross it.

Can you go nudé in a movie?
I can’t go stark nudé in any movie. I can’t even strip nakéd in front of any body.

Would you have séx in a movie?
We don’t have real séx in movies, it’s make-believe, we don’t do the
real thing. I can kiss, smooch and touch. It’s my job, there’s nothing
to it and it ends there, it doesn’t go beyond the camera.

Would you date a guy in the industry?
I can if I meet the right person.

How important is money to you when it comes to your choice of man?
I’m not looking for a stinkingly rich man. If he has all the money
without good attributes, then he’s not for me. I like humble people. So,
he has to be humble, God-fearing, extremely nice, very romantic and
loving.

What’s the most challenging role you’ve played so far?
Broken Fixtures, where I had to kiss and romance. The role I played in
My Club was also challenging because I had to drink and smoke, which I
don’t do in real life.

Is there a role you would turn down?
As long as I’m not required to have actual séx, I can’t turn down any role.

Are you in a relationship?
Yes. I was attracted to him because of the fact that he’s born again, spoils me with gifts and puts my needs before his own.

I am a 40-year-old and my wife is 34 years. We have been married for
about 12 years with three kids. The problem is that she does not satisfy
me séxually and this has made me patronise other women for séx. I am a
pastor, but in the last four years, I have had to sleep with two
different ladies to satisfy my séxual urges. My wife’s attitude is bad —
she would not cook on time; she is dirty and never makes any move to
ask for séx. She only agrees whenever she senses that I am angry.

I love her but how do I address this? I want to have her in bed daily
because I have stopped all extra-marital affairs since the year began. I
had already confessed to her and other co-pastors and I was forgiven.

But there are times I want to go back to my old girlfriends due to loneliness...

What do I do? I have reported her to her family members and my pastors to no avail. What do I do?

- M.I, Ibadan

Reply from Punch's Kemi Ashefon:

As a pastor, you are supposed to serve as an example in good works which
include taming the flesh. This is an issue you must address physically
and spiritually. If you don’t face your marriage and work things out
with your wife, it can collapse and that will affect your ministry.

Carry your wife along in mapping out the best time for séx because it
may not be convenient for a mother of three children, who also takes
care of the home, to have séx daily. You can be more involved in
spiritual activities — prayers, fasting and a thorough study of the word
of God. These should help take your mind off séx for a period of time.

Lastly, I think your wife also got some things wrong in her walk with
God as a pastor’s wife. The two of you need a re-alignment with God and
his instruction on marriage and séx.

The level of 'strife' in some families are mind-boggling. The Lagos
State Police Command has arrested a man, Phillip Katongu, for allegedly
stabbing his wife to death.

Mr. Katongu, who hails from Wamba in Nasarawa State was apprehended by
operatives of the Department of Criminal Investigations, Yaba,
Lagos. The police said his late wife, Justina, was stabbed to death in a
street at Oniru Estate, Maroko, Lagos, where she and her husband were
living.

Justina was stabbed in about three places before she died because she
intentionally infected her husband with the dreaded HIV disease. The
knife used for the murder had been recovered by the police. Justina, who
hailed from Kauro, Kaduna State, did not have any child before her
death.

It was also learnt that Katongu, who worked as a construction worker on
the Victoria Island, had a wife outside the marriage in Nasarawa State
before marrying the deceased...

According to Punch, after having allegedly killing the wife, Katongu
also attempted to commit suicide before the neighbours forced the door
open and rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was revived.

Forty-five-year-old Katongu, told policemen that he killed his wife
because she infected him with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus, among
other misdeeds.

He said, “I married Justina, my second wife in December 2010. I later
learnt that she had given birth to two girls for a man. The girls died
of AIDS.

“However, when we first met, she did not tell me all these. I explained
to her that I have a wife with children and I wanted to marry her too. Before
marriage, I told her we should go to hospital to conduct HIV test, but
she refused and said that she was HIV negative. So we started sleeping
together.”

He added that without his knowledge, his wife had been going to Abuja
for medical treatment every 3 months for HIV, until March 2013 when she
took him along. He said it was at the hospital that she disclosed her
HIV status to him.

He said, “I was angry and told the doctor who equally blamed her for not
disclosing it to me. The doctor then tested me, and I was positive. We
came back to Lagos and continued with the relationship because I loved
her. But suddenly, she told me she wanted to pack out from my house that
she was no longer interested in marrying me having had another person
in Abuja. In fact, the man usually called her on phone while we were
together.

“I told her that with her status, she should not go and be infecting
people with the virus. And that I will kill her and kill myself. We
started fighting and I stabbed her. It was in the early hours. I stabbed
her three times with a knife. She shouted and people were knocking at
our door.

After she died, I stabbed myself, and the people broke the door open. I
woke up to find myself in a hospital. I feel very bad that I killed my
wife. I loved her very much.”
