DIY Glitter Pumpkin

Right now I am LOVING glitter and gold! So right now the best thing ever is gold glitter!

I also love my pumpkin I got at the pumpkin patch. Its so cute, little, and perfect!

Today I have a tutorial on how to glitter your pumpkin without mod podge! Don't get me wrong I think mod podge is great it is just so darn expensive and I didn't want to go to the store to buy some.

So now to the tutorial of how I did my DIY Glitter Pumpkin!

Here are the supplies I used. Seriously, just a glue stick!!! This is what I love about this project because it was so easy to do!

Step 1: I put glue around the top of the pumpkin then simply shake the glitter on to it. Easy. Easy. Easy.

Step 2: I wanted to make a chevron strip so I put two pieces of tape around the pumpkin for a guideline.

Step 3: Draw on the glue however you want and simply shake the glitter on it.

The thing I love about this is the glue stick and with that you can draw any design you want. I think a glittered monogram would look super cute too.

Interchangeable Chalkboard

I don't know about you but fall is my FAVORITE season! I love it! I also love chalkboards.

Here is a simple craft you can do for any season!

Just get a chalkboard (I got mine from Craft Warehouse), and some decorations!

Switch it up for a year round saying.

You don't even have to write on it. I got this in a pack of 4x6 sheets of paper at Craft Warehouse.

Hope you love this as much as I do.

A Mad Tea Party

When I was at school I was in CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ) and I was part of the socials team. We put together a tea party for all the girls and decided to do an Alice in Wonderland theme. It was a TON of work but it was awesome! I wish my pictures were better but I think you'll get the idea.

We made it a 'tunnel' and had each scene from the movie leading up to the Mad Tea Party.

Pink and Yellow First Birthday

Recently my niece Lili just turned one! I had the great privilege to plan her party and I had a blast! While going to school I have realized a great passion for party planning and have decided to pursue it. I am so excited for what my future holds.

Anyway, back to the party.

Instead of choosing a theme I chose colors and it worked really well.

The desserts. I made the cake just two layers, then a bunch of cupcakes and a cupcake for the "smash cake". I made it simple just vanilla cake and frosting with sprinkles. Simple but cute.

This is the lovely photo booth! My wonderful dad made it with PVC pipe. It is pretty big and I love it because I can take it apart to store it. I just used dollar store table cloths for the background and streamers. Of course, I couldn't forget the tissue paper poms.

This is a big chalkboard my mom has in the house and we change it for different holidays or first birthdays in this case.

This is the same table with the desserts. I bought those glass bottles a while ago and just keep them for different parties. They work great and they are so cute!

Oh she is too cute! Love this little one.

Happy Monday! So, I still do not have a camera unfortunately but, I managed to whip up a pretty cool project! Obviously these printables have made it pretty big in the crafting world and I have decided to make some of my own!

These were way easy and so fun! Picmonkey is the easiest website to use ever! I made all three of them there!

I thought this one was perfect for me! You know being a college student and all. Of course my mom loves it :)

This one I LOVE it is definitely a daily reminder.

I really like this one too!

I made these using picmonkey. I just took a plain picture and re-sized it to be 5x7. Suuuuper easy!

I like all three because of how simple yet so cute they are! I hope you all enjoy!

DIY Ladybug Costume

Hey everyone! It feels so good to be back on here! I don't have a camera quite yet but I just had the cutest project that I had to share! So, the pictures are from my phone. Sorry :(

DIY Ladybug Costume!

I hardly ever do anything for Halloween but, this year I was told I would get extra credit if I dress up so I made myself a ladybug costume! Pretty much everything is from the dollar store!

This is the headband I wore and the two red things on top are bows from the dollar store!

I found these glasses at the dollar store also and thought they were perfect!

This shirt I already had and I bought a black poster board (also from the dollar store) and cut out a bunch of circles and taped them on there.

At first I thought I wasn't going to have a tutu but, I found a red one at the dollar store!!! They were meant for little girls so I had to get two and put them together.

These are butterfly wings from the dollar store but, ladybug's only have two wings so I just folded the small ones under!

Crochet Clutch Plus A Sneak Peek

I have been loving crochet! I finished this clutch a while back and I LOVE it.

I use it to hold my crochet hooks. It was a fairly easy project however, the bottom part took FOREVER because it was all single crochet. I will not make that mistake again. But, I do really love how it turned out.

I was pretty nervous about the button but to my surprise it was very easy!

Okay on to the fun part! I am at 96 followers right now and want to thank all of you for supporting me and my little blog. So, to show my appreciation I have set up my first giveaway! Dorm Room Decorating

Happy Friday! I am so excited about this post! As you all know I am getting ready to move away for College and I'm so stoked! So, I made a few things to go along with my dorm!

This pillow is made from a fat quarter. It was sooo easy and I love the size.

This is a poof I recovered. I bought one at a yard sale for only one dollar and the original cover was cute but, it was stained. So, the orange and white fabric you've been seeing is actually a duvet cover from Ikea.

I also covered the body pillow you see in the same fabric. I didn't sew that one I just twisted it on so if I wanted to I could use it for other things.

Hello wonderful readers! It feels so good to be back. I have been so so busy getting ready to go away to school which, I am very excited for! I leave September 14th and it is going by way too fast! So, in the spirit of going back to school and me moving away for the first time I made a project for my dorm! I made a fabric scrap garland. I have seen them all over for the longest time, I realize I am a little late in the game but hey they're still cute right?!

It is fairly small but, considering I will be in a dorm room I think its just right!

The string pictured above is just what I had on hand and it worked okay but wasn't the easiest to work with.

I'm back! I apologize greatly! I must admit though, it has been a pretty nice break and well needed. But, I'm back and plan on staying back. While I was taking a little bloggy break I realized how much I really do enjoy blogging.

As you all may know I have been taking that crochet class with my Grandma and showed you my first crochet project HERE and now I have my second one done!

I am pretty happy with it! It is too small for me though so I'll have to make another one. I added the rosettes for a little extra pop and really like them.

Stampin' Up! Party!

My lovely older sister Rachel sells Stampin Up! and I really wanted to do a party. She lives three hours away, but that is much better than half way across the world like she was for a very long time. So, her and her family came down for fathers day which, by the way was such a wonderful day I love my daddy! I had my party that Friday and it was a blast! I was able to get some pictures but, unfortunately it was before I put out the food and drinks but you'll get the idea!

Here was the lemonade. That day I went out to Target and bought 3 of the 4 packs of the frappucinos in a jar. I figured it would be a good investment because I can re use them for other parties.

I made some sugar cookies for a fruit pizza bar! The bowl right next to the cookies is where I had the "frosting" which was cool whip and cream cheese whipped together.

The three bowls next to the "frosting" were the fruit. I had strawberries, kiwis, and blueberries.

For the backdrop I had pink, blue, and white streamers with some tissue paper pom poms.

This was such a fun party and so fun to set up!

I signed up to be a blog angel just a few weeks ago. I can not believe we are already half way into it! I have actually learned quite a bit so far especially being a newer blogger. I always get excited when people take time to comment or even tweet me. But, before blog angel I was noticing that I don't do that much for other people. So, as I was commenting and tweeting this certain person I realized it is so much fun to make other people's days too! Being a blog angel hasn't just helped me recognize one person it has helped me see that its fun to mention other people especially because I would want people to do the same for me.

Another big thing I've realized is it is important to stay organized. Replying to emails soon after you get them and staying on a consistent schedule. I think the most important thing is showing that you care. If you care about your own blog then you should care about other peoples blogs because their blog is what makes yours.

Open Frame With a Paper Banner

I was running low on projects but had plenty of supplies. I found an open frame and had some scrapbook paper. So, I whipped this up in about 5 minutes. Super cute and super fun!

Paint Stick Chalkboard

I have seen so many projects with paint sticks and thought they were all amazing! So, while at The Home Depot I grabbed a few for a project. The other day I found that bottle of chalkboard paint for $.99! So I decided to make a chalkboard!

I just used super glue to stick them together and it worked really well. That is the glue from the dollar store and it works wonderfully!

And here is my finished project!

I was trying to find my plate stand to put it on but couldn't find it anywhere!! But I think it still looks pretty cool:)

DIY Cake Stand

I have had this large candle stand for a while, that I got at a yard sale for about a quarter. So, I went out to the dollar store and got that round silver plate you see in the picture below.

I spray painted the candle stand turquoise.

And I spray painted the plate white.

Then I glued them together!

The candle stand is upside down because it looked really weird with the big base on the bottom.

This was such an easy, fun, and cheap project! There are so many color combinations you could do!

Sparkler Cupcakes

I didn't glue in the tulle this time since they were just for cupcakes. I thought these would be perfect for a princess party:)

Spring Subway Art

I have been using picmonkey for all my photo editing lately and I am really liking it! Just recently I made some subway art for spring! I just took a blank white photo I saved for collages and subway art and added text! Super super easy!

I personally like the second one better it is a little more simpler. I hope you inspired to try your own! It is super fun :)

PS: So sorry for the inconsistent posting schedule. How do you guys stay consistent? I'd really love to know all your tips and tricks!
