13 hurt in pileup on I-10 in Baldwin County

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - State troopers say early morning fog, smoke from an apparent controlled burn and a naked woman contributed to a 27-vehicle pileup on Interstate 10 that injured 13 people in Baldwin County.

At least 18 other motorists escaped without injury in the chain of collisions about 4:30 a.m. Sunday. Troopers said the collisions involved 18 vehicles in the westbound lanes and nine more on the eastbound side. They said at least five vehicles were 18-wheelers.

The accident scene was about four miles east of the Alabama Highway 59 Loxley-Bay Minette exit. Troopers said the interstate was closed for more than six hours and traffic was diverted by way of U.S. 90.

Was reading this blog about Bottle Feed vs. Breast Feed vs. Male Genders Attraction To The Female Genders Upper Torso and the blogger posed this question:

Who here is obsessed attracted, or overly attracted with the females "upper torso"? Then I asked... Of those people, who was breast fed as a baby? They all said yes, they were.

Then I asked the same two questions to the few that said they couldn't care less about the females upper torso, there shape, size, or whatever. They all said they were bottle fed.

It was an interesting outcome of the question, however, this was a small group (under 15) of all straight men. I wonder if it would have had the same outcome with a larger more diversified group. So I pose it to you.

“How am I to deal with you?” Frustration evident in her voice, Dion brushed back the hair from her eyes, and then absently started to worry at a fingernail. “No matter which way I turn, you’re there, blocking me.” She continued to mutter to herself. “You’re too dangerous to ignore, and too unpredictable to trust…” The object of her conversation with herself, an image of a dark haired man on the screen, offered no answers. Once more, she leaned towards the computer to key in yet another series of command codes, searching for the files that would yield the information that she needed. She impatiently coaxed and teased information on shipping routes, Federation Security activities, and anything on the subject named Avon. Of all the wild cards in the deck currently stacked against her, he was the most worrisome..

“Damn computers, not my job playing nursemaid to a piece of junk like this. Come on, you damn box, give me access, or I’ll rearrange you with a laser drill.” The woman continued to mutter angrily to herself, so engrossed in her task that she didn’t hear the man who walked softly into the sparsely furnished room.

“Still abusing the computer, Dion?” The man’s shoulder length hair was so blond as to appear white, and it framed a face that showed the cares of thirty-four eventful and often troubled years. At the moment, a quiet sad smile was the only overt expression on his face, as he thoughtfully considered the unresponsive woman sitting at the console in front of him.

Dion wasn’t prepossessing, being of average height and average attractiveness. This trait had allowed her to blend in easily in crowds in the past-very much to her benefit. Dark haired, with grey beginning to thread, she still managed to occasionally look younger than her thirty-eight years. This was especially noticeable when she forgot her dignity or her reserve, enough to smile. Just now, however, she appeared tired and irritated. Jared wasn’t entirely convinced about his earlier decision to ensure that his problematic friend got a decent meal and some sleep. With luck, it would be several hours of sleep.

“Look”, he said, as she finally deigned to notice his arrival, “You are so tired you’re not getting anything productive accomplished. You need calories, and some overdue sleep.” Ignoring Dion’s reflexive scowl, Jared leaned over her shoulder and keyed in the sequence to store the data and to clear the screen. As she started to protest his highhandedness, he chuckled. “You can argue about it later. After food. After sleep.” “Besides”, he continued, “when was the last time you won an argument with me?”

Dion said nothing as she stared up at him, then she slowly levered herself from her chair, and moved past him, towards the corridor. As she vanished into the hallway, Jared turned back to the console and removed the data disc. Her quiet compliance with his suggestions made him nervous. Reflecting that he would have preferred an outburst of some kind, he pocketed the data disc and decided to head for the control centre—if only to ensure that Dion hadn’t gone there.

Rachel was Plexis Station’s Medical doctor, and Biological Research Specialist. Throw in her knowledge of Genetics, and she was worth every credit of the high salary authorized to her by the Station’s Patron. Merik was a dangerously gifted engineer and pilot. Additionally, he had a talent for the necessary political maneuvers so essential to life in the Federation. While he appreciated the challenges of his job, Rachel suspected that his true enjoyment was for the intrigue, the competition of pitting his will, his instincts and knowledge against others, and proving that he was better and smarter than supervisors and superiors. His goal wasn’t for money; that was just a tool. He craved power. He intended to get it.

Plexis Station was a remote assignment. Staffed by five people, only rarely visited by space craft, it was a lonely assignment, as well. While the posting was financially rewarding, there was very little to spend one’s credits on. Amusements were few, and the resupply craft were always eagerly awaited, even if their presence was nerve wracking. Plexis was not a high profile place, and it was crucial that it remain so. Officially, they were stationed at a Communications relay. Officially. In the Federation, the right hand was seldom authorized to know what the left hand was doing…..

As usual, the sex had been good. They still lay entwined, neither in any hurry to get up. Rachel’s hand continued to slowly trace small gentle circles on Merik’s chest. She was content to remain a while longer in his arms, listening to his breathing and feeling his heart beat as both approached more normal levels. It felt good to lie there and let the air cool off their overheated bodies. He lay on his back, staring at the bulkhead, not really seeing it, his mind already far away. They both had a little time before they had to get ready for their unsanctioned reconnaissance of Jaxom III.
