2010-07-15T23:14:00.000+08:00

Ok, as requested..i shall not let my blog die a natural death but instead revive it again. So here are some pictures from my Europe trip.

Venice, Italy

2010-06-28T04:03:00.000+08:00

As promised, some pictures of Venice..Although it is not much, but will probably post more of it on fb. Just some pictures to keep u guys updated!

Pretty colourful buildings...nice eh?

This is just a part of Venice view..So, basically the whole place is covered with water and to travel around is by boat or boat taxi..Although it sounds nice that its a place built on water, but u can imagine the time taken just to travel and I would really pity the people who gets sea sick..!

2010-06-18T04:26:00.000+08:00

Just got back from my Europe trip and had such a wonderful time there. Pictures will be up soon. Till then, I am currently pretty busy with packing my stuff in Bristol and going over to aunt's place, and visiting my friends in London tmr! Woohoo...cant wait. seems like ages since I last saw them. Miss them tremendously. Will update soon. Stay tuned! xoxo

“I don’t pretend to know what love is for everyone, but I can tell you what it is for me; love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person, love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself, including the things you might be ashamed of, love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone, but still getting weak knees when they walk into a room and smile at you.” - Anonymous”

I. Am. Proud.

2010-05-14T23:18:00.000+08:00

Real proud.
Basically, I have an exam paper on the 26th May which is actually a case study. The case study is based on four different sections which are Management Accounting, CRTP, FM and Corporate Governance, Ethics.
Yeah, boring stuff, i know..
We are able to discuss before exams with friends, and bring in a sheet of paper as a guideline. Mind you, it sounds easy, but its not. The case study is 10 pages long, and 4 subjects to put inside the sheet of paper. The font has to be size 12, Arial. Thank God they dint mention about double spacing etc.
So, some friends decided to meet up today to discuss about it, and about 30 of us met up man! Can u believe it? 30! The group was so big that we had no choice but to divide the topics into 4 different groups so that we can discuss faster and more efficiently.

All Im trying to say is that, even when students organising stuff, it will work..what's more 30 of us in a class and presenting man! Like, real presentation. Student dominating! Real proud, as I thought it was really organised and everyone participated in order to do well. So, a pat on our backs.

Ok then..back to studying But before studying, gonna eat something first. Havent had anything to eat yet today...my friends and I ordered kebab. hehehe..Alright will update soon..In like 14 days time, or maybe earlier.

Nevertheless, Im sure Louis is pretty free at the moment, and I am hoping he will post up some interesting pictures on the blog to keep u guys entertained. (He has the Canon D50 and takes wonderful pictures!)

So, before I bid my farewell..let me just post up some yummy-licious food from here and Barcelona too.

Just look at the hot Chocolate. Its so thick, its like literally taking cooking chocolate, melt it and drink it. So, I hope your air liuh melilih too! hehe..Alright then, goodnight people. Its 2.05am here and looks like its gonna be a loooong night for me (or rather morning!)

holiday update!

2010-04-10T07:17:00.000+08:00

Hi people!
Sorry for not updating sooner. I was in Barcelona! It was fun and nice! But the sun was hot enough to give me a sunburn! However, most important thing is that i had fun with family and Louis! So here are some pictures of Barcelona taken by Louis.

The view is a beauty and I walked so much like i have never walk that much before..even Louis agreed!

Gaudi's famous buildings..A real beauty. Unfortunately, he has to die in such a tragic accident.

Sagrada Familia; another church built by Gaudi.

How nice! 8pm and still bright. Love it! I wish it is sunny all day long, cause it definitely will make my day!

Lastly, a picture of Louis and myself at Monserrat, Barcelona. Its on a hill and u can see an amazing view too!

Lunch and Bicester Village - Oxford.

2010-03-19T06:40:00.000+08:00

As promised, a post about the lunch we had in Oxford. It was quite a walk from the city to this restaurant but all I can say is that it is really worth that walk!

The Big Bang restaurant. Love the ambience! Thank goodness for our printed vouchers...buy 1 get 1 free!

When we sat down, each of us were given a book like this. And i was wondering, "wow, they even give each of us a thick book to read?"

But when i opened the book, it was actually a menu! Cute right?

So, after we ordered the food, we decided to camwhore a little. Hehe..

Hong Ping and Suet Ling. A lovely couple!

Tiong Teck and Milo, another lovely couple! hehehe...

Suet Ling, Sue Jean, myself and Tiong Teck

Ahh, and finally! The long awaited Bangers and Mash! Lovely, absolutely lovely.

So, after the lovely meal, we headed to Bicester Village where they sell branded goods at a cheaper price. Mind you, although they say it is cheaper, but, really...its not that much cheaper, ok?

I left my heart at Jimmy Choo...

Then, there's Jack Wills too...

And a cute shop that looks like a cottage. I made my friends stand there! hehe..

Oh, and not forgetting Starbucks which is probably the only thing i can afford there!

Went back and feeling tired which dragged on to the next day. But I did had fun! What a lovely time!

A visit to Oxford!

2010-03-19T06:18:00.000+08:00

Few weeks ago, my friends and I decided to head to Oxford just for the fun of it. It was supposed to be 22 of us, but ended up only 8 of us actually went. What a joke!

Anyway, I guess its good too. We had fun, and the group was not too big too!

So, hence the word Oxford, this was the first picture we took when we arrived.

How could we not take pictures when we see Jamie Oliver's restaurant, right? Wanted to try, but when we walk back for lunch, the queue was terribly long and we peeped inside to see the portion of the food was really small too. When my friend went in to ask how long do we have to wait if we want a table for 8, and the waiter told us to wait for 2 hours! Believe it or not? And we always complain when we have to wait 20minutes for a table in Chillis! LOL!

So, we ended up going somewhere much better! Will show u guys in the next post.

The Bodleian Library. This is where they made the movie Harry Potter. Unfortunately, we couldnt get inside the library because the next tour will only be at 2.30pm and we were rushing for time as we wanted to go to this place call Bicester Village.

Nice building, eh? It is part of the Oxford University.

This is the Oxford university.

Beautiful buildings around the streets.

Just love this picture and how the sun reflects the picture.

Lastly, an almost group picture of us.

Minus me!

Free day, baking day!

2010-03-01T08:04:00.000+08:00

Free day Sunday! Decided to bake some cookies today! A therapy..I baked Cornflakes Cookies! Thought it was a little too sweet, but my friends said it was good. So, oh well...probably its just me. I dont fancy having too sweet stuff.

Ahh, done with baking! Waiting for it to cool down.

Cookies, ready to attack!

I just made into a flat shape..so, it kinda expanded to quite big! haha!

A picture of the chef for the day!

May Lim's birthday

2010-03-01T07:28:00.000+08:00

As I was telling you guys my last assignment was handed in on Friday! Boy, that was a relief! Feeling so good now, and happy...I guess?! Now is just the anticipation of collecting my results. So, on Friday night, we decided to have pizza. 7 of us, with 4 large pizzas and 2 appetizers. 1 large pizza has 10 slices! We had a leftover of 1 whole pizza!

Some of the other girls went out to city and have dinner at this place call, 'Wagamama'. It is quite famous. But most of us were just too tired to go out. Can u imagine? Having sleepless nights and just assignment the whole week. Really damn stress!

Anyway, good that its over! The assignment really took a toll on us. Now all of us are feeling sick and tired. The post-AIC feeling.

********************************************************************

So, the next day, we went to the city and had lunch buffet @ Flavourz for my house mate, May Lim's birthday!

Ahh, we got her a pyjamas and eye patch for her birthday! She was flaunting the undies in the restaurant! E-hem...dont know what to say. hehe..

Milo and myself

Yummy noodles! Just queue up and put how much noodles, chicken, prawns, and vegetables on a plate you want, and they will fry it for you. That includes thosai (which they call is as 'dosa') and naan bread!

Love the vegetable puff and spring rolls!

The twin brothers! Hehe..just jk..they wore almost the same shirt, coincidentally! How hilarious!

Sze Tho and myself

An of course, a group photo..

Nice!

Great outing, and great company. Love it..

2010-02-28T09:43:00.000+08:00

Sorry for abandoning the blog. It will resume in no time. I assure you. I have been busy with assignments and dint had the chance to update. Gosh, the assignment has taken a toll on me.

Although with one week off, and I thought I should have enough time to do my assignment...Boy, i was wrong!
Really so much to do...and edit, and think! I felt hungry all the time. Sleepless nights..maybe about 2-3 hours of sleep a night for the past week. Really so tired! Worst part, i exceeded the word limit if I would include the referencing (The referencing is about 350-400 words). I think it is very obvious that i exceeded if i would to include the referencing in. So, let's hope my lecturer will let me off..or else, he will deduct 10 marks, ok? Not a joke..10 MARKS! Yes, people..pray for me! Really need it.

So, will post up some pictures tomorrow of the things I have been up to..Stay tuned!

How true can this be? Apparently, pretty much accurate.

Nothing is like celebrating Chinese New Year with family. Well, thank goodness with the support of friends around us, we managed to survive the Chinese New YEar without feeling too upset that we are not home. And I guess thanks to our mum, we can cook! Haha..The fire alarm went off though! Think it was too smoky..

Rice crispy..It was fantastic. My friend made it! Really taste so good!

Popiah! It was nice..

Pancakes! I made them..By the way, its Pancake Day everyone! So, Happy Pancake Day!

Linko! Love it..Chinese New Year is not perfect without this!

Ching, Sherlene and myself

The ladies..

Finally, a group photo of us, wishing everyone Happy Chinese New Year!! We met up at 9am, and cooked until 12-ish. *wipe off sweat* No joke! But im sure my mum's gonna be happy! Making food and all..hehe..Funny thing is, we didnt bother, we just play you tube chinese new year songs. I am sure we must have woken up the flat mates! Love to everyone back home!

2010-02-12T05:40:00.005+08:00

Had a sudden moment of Shamay..and I remembered how she called me in the wee hours of the morning just to wish me 'safe trip' when i was leaving to UK. Hearing my voice on the phone when she called me and how she can hear I was sobbing on the other line, she sob with me too although she was all the way in Australia..Shamay; my kindergarten friend, and although we dont keep in touch that often, but we still have random moments where we think of each other.
When we meet...haha...we can really talk and there's no such thing as awkward moment at all. Even to an extend where some friends wouldnt wanna go out with us because they are afraid of interfering our moment of 'together' as if we are dating! How funny is that May and I have our individual close friends, but from out of that circle of close friends, we hold close to each other.

May, its a pity we didnt take much pictures together..and we do not look our very best at some pictures too! Till we next meet again, we should 'dress up' and have dinners and take more pics too, ok? Love ya!

Told you some of the pictures dont look really good. Like this picture does not enhance my figure! ;-)

Remember Marmalade? And that annoying waiter.... -__-

P/S: To my other good and close friends, dont jealous ok? I love u ladies and gentlemen. All of u are in my heart too! And to the boyfriend, dont jealous too, ok? Ure in my heart too..never forget about u! Miss you guys loads. Have a wonderful Chinese New Year and Happy Valentine's Day to everyone..Hmm, someone's birthday is coming up too...I wonder who.. ;-)

Sue Jean's 21st birthday dinner and surprise

2010-02-06T07:34:00.007+08:00

A friend said to me, "Have fun at the surprise birthday. Anyway, its always fun to have surprise birthday. After all, who doesnt like surprise birthdays?"

Sorry to say, but im never good with birthday surprises. I guess my college friends will know me best when it comes to that aspect. I usually ruin it by saying things like, I cant make it, or I dont feel like going out. And so, they have no choice but to tell me its a birthday celebration and I have to attend.

Anyway, this is not my birthday surprise but for a friend of mine, Sue Jean, who just turned 21 and is complaining that she is getting old. (Sensitive issue for me)

Funny thing is that, I dont even feel my age. I feel younger, or rather childish. Now, is that good or bad?

Oh, anyway, back to this surprise thing...Man, it was quite a preparation. We had to sneak up on her, take her key from her bag while she was playing badminton, to get into her room, and quietly put it back while she was not looking. Managed to get into her room, prepare the balloons and cakes etc...and hid in her bathroom.

She came back from badminton, went straight into the kitchen! We left the balloons and cakes in the kitchen..so, she realised we were there..but she just couldnt find us. She was searching high and low, came into the room, and went back outside. Eventually, she gave up and came inside the room. She took off her socks, and was gonna wash her hands first, when she got a shock of her life to see all of us in masks, hiding in the toilet and screaming, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!" Really, if I was her, I would be terrified!

Meet Ching, a year 2 student!

Jeanne, who is in my class too

Sherlene and myself.

Cupcakes and apple pie. Aiwei; i didnt wanna tell u on facebook cause im not sure if Sue Jean knows or not..but it was just frozen pie and i just put into the oven to bake it. Only 1pound..but it taste pretty good!

21 balloons, but accidentally burst 1 instead!

Masks and presents..

All the ladies posing for the camera. Had fun that night!

Lastly, the birthday girl with her cakes! Hope she had a wonderful time and not too homesick too!

***********************

My friend, Sue Jean's 21st birthday was quite fun! We had dinner together, and also a surprise for her. Although, i must say the damage left a hole in my wallet, and that is not even including Milo's birthday today! So, i dont wanna talk about the damage for this month. Just cant wait for my first salary to come in! Although its not much...but i guess, it should be enough for my groceries etc.. So, here are some pictures for the dinner with my friends..

Myself, Sue Jean and Suet Ling

I guess when we get older, the more difficult it is to find true and good friends. I can consider these 2 friends of mine to be the closest here in Bristol. At least we get along pretty well, and talk about stuff, and gossip! So, I can say im pretty fortunate to make new friends that I can get along. After all, most people here already have their own 'click' and friends. So, most of them dont really wanna mingle with others too.

Well, Im sure u guys get what i mean..

A group photo of us.

Calzone, a kind of pizza which was pretty good too! This was what i ordered, and its different from Msia. @Aiwei, it taste better than the one we had in Solaris.

Tiong Teck and Milo.

Meet Tiong Teck aka Mr Teddy. He is very cute. Reminds me of a teddy bear. Dont u think? heehe..

Shanghai Night!

2010-02-03T05:51:00.004+08:00

Finally, a way of releasing stress. Makan time!! Decided to go to Shanghai Night, a Chinese buffet. Mind you, its not cheap ok? Its about 15pounds per person. But what a night..with loads of food to order. Yeah, we order and they will bring it to us at our table.

This is Milk. She is in year 2 from HELP too!

So there Milk and now, this is Milo...who was very excited about the pork ribs!

Curry laksa which Milk ordered. Taste just like curry laksa in Malaysia.

This is my housemate (roomie) Ah May and myself.

Ah May is a good cook. She even knows how to make Chee Cheong Fun from scratch ok? Good, eh? Her boyfriend is from Stella and i know him too! Isnt that a coincidence?

Ahh, the best! Mango pudding. It was really good.

Siew Mai..waited so long for it man. Immediately i sat down, I ordered until like..2 hrs later only it arrived!

Then there's sweet sour pork. See, we are so deprived of chinese food.

Fried custard ball. Really delicious.

Banana fritters with ice cream. This is good too!

Sad to say the service was not good. They will send u the bill after 3 hrs of eating! How horrible! But it was really good to have chinese food. Hmm, but i think out of temptation, we will definitely go back there again although the service is lousy! Its been a while since we had chinese food like this! Yummy! Now i really wonder what will we be doing for Chinese NEw YEar.

i survived!

2010-01-31T08:51:00.003+08:00

So glad that its half over...

So, i survived January with countless sleepless nights or about 3-5hrs of sleep, stress was like crazy. With 2 assignments and 2 exams, boy it wasnt easy! What's worse was when results decided to come out so much earlier..and i dint manage to score that well for 1 of the exam...

I dont really wanna talk about it i guess. Just glad that its over.

So, since yesterday, i've been going out for dinner, and friend's birthday..There's so many peoples birthday in February, that I guess, i will be officially broke man! Seriously, no joke!!

Weather is like a whirlwind too. Its getting colder again and today it hit -3degrees. Weather forecasts that it will be snowing tmr. And i initially wanted to go for mass..Let's hope I can wake up and go for mass. Ok then, will update u guys with pictures of good food in my next post.

Managed to clean my room after weeks of abandoning it. Now, its left with vacuum the floor and then my room will be clean and tidy!

Till then, will make you guys drool a little. My first attempt of making pancakes..just cant get enough of it! Simply addictive and easy to make.

words

2010-01-23T07:42:00.003+08:00

Funny how words can make or break a person. Words can hurt a person or make a person's day seem like their happiest ever in life. I blame the words for causing these joy and pain. Words that seem too complex sometimes for a normal person like me to absorb; or rather, a shallow person like me. Others may blame the mind, for some people dont think when they speak. Others may blame feelings, for some may have stronger feelings to being more sensitive or emotional and take things more personally.

What's worse is when a person who can't seem to get the right words to say at the right time, or rather not think when they speak and end up feeling emotional or rather bad for saying words that he or she doesnt mean. See, i told you its words..

Words...why can't we put words in a more positive manner?

For example, Stupid = Less intellectual (why, doesnt this sound better?)

An Idiot = His/Her usual self

Fat = Slightly bigger/plump

Ugly = Less attractive

There, is it that difficult?
