Life As a Seed

T25 Results

2014-07-09T09:00:00.000-04:00

Hi guys!!!
I know it's been awhile since I've posted. I've been super busy with life. Just living. I've recently become a Beachbody Coach and have been doing my T25 every single day! It's been amazing, and I'm not in the last week of Beta. The results I've gotten so far are truly sensational! I can't even believe it! I never though I'd get my body back to the way it was before having a child, but now it's even better than it's ever been in my life.
Here- take a look and see for yourself!!

These pictures were taken in week 1, 5 and 7 of T25 Alpha and Beta and right now I'm in week 10. So, next week I will start the 4 week Gamma program!

I've honestly never stuck with any work out program this long and I've never given anything my all as I have this.

But the results speak for themselves and I couldn't be more happy and proud to be a Beachbody Coach!!

If you're interested in hearing more or have any questions on becoming a coach yourself, please please let me know!

New Me

2014-03-12T08:00:00.000-04:00

I'm not sure what's come over me, but seriously, I have the fever.....and no, I don't mean Baby Fever! I have the WORKOUT fever! Like crazy. All I want to do lately is eat healthy, watch my calories, work out....lose calories. I can't wait to step on the scale in the morning. It's like I'm a whole new girl.
I blame it on my Florida Trip.....and also Shannon Dew over at Life After I "Dew". She started this whole Beach Body thing, and I just can't get enough of health and fitness now.
I'm trying to learn as much as I can about working out....learning new and different moves. Each day, trying to beat my calories burned by just a little bit. It's like a personal goal that I have every day. And I love it.
I'm at a weight now where I've been at kind of a plateau. My lowest weight, before we went to FL back in April was 115 lbs. I'm 5'1" so for me, that was like the skinniest I've been since High School and I was loving the way my body looked! Specially since having a baby...I was so happy and excited that I was happy to get my tummy looking half way normal!
But here me when I say, that after a vacation....I wasn't too happy with my body. I gained about 4 lbs on vacation (normal, I know) but since then it's just been packing on. And today, I'm at 123.4. And we're leaving for Disney World in just 17 short days.....I know I'm probably not going to get myself almost 8 lbs lighter in that amount of time (healthy) so all that I can do is work out and eat right and see where that gets me. So, that's what I'm going to do!! I've been using MFP like a mad woman! (username: crystalseed) Follow me!!!
And my Husband bought me a Nutribullet for my birthday, so I've been obsessed with making smoothies. That's all I've been having for breakfast! And I love it! Keeps me full for hours, and it's pretty low cal, AND HEALTHY!! So, if you have any good smoothie recipes that you'd like to give me, I'm open to any and all!

Coach Trip with the Ladies

2014-03-04T08:00:00.000-05:00

I'm not a Purse Junkie.
I swear, I'm not. But when I see a purse that I love and I absolutely have to have, well...I buy it.
One of my BFF's, who I'm lucky enough to work with, got a SA-Weet Coach Purse for Christmas that I fell in love with.

So, we took a trip to our nearest Outlet center and did a little shopping. They didn't have the purple animal print, nor did they have the green or pink that I was hoping for either...so I had to "settle" with the black.

Trust me when I say, it wasn't settling at all. I'm absolutely in love with this purse!!! It's the perfect carryall purse for me. No inside pockets, which call me crazy, but that's the way I like it. Everything all in 1 spot. And, best of all...I only paid $65 bucks for it! SCORE!!!

My Mother In Law came over later that day, and I showed her, and she fell in love too.

Well, the small purse actually snaps into the inside of the large tote....and when I got it home and went to show Andy, one of the snaps broke off the inside of the large tote. It didn't rip it or anything, the snap just came off. So I'm going back on Wednesday to exchange it. And my mother in law wants one.

So, I'm actually thinking of getting a wallet too....Idk, we shall see.

What's your favorite Coach purse, or do you prefer a different style or brand?? I used to be addicted to Chanel!

Bathing suit Trial and Error

2014-02-07T08:51:00.001-05:00

So, do you remember a few days ago when I posted about my bathing suit that I ordered to take with me to Disney?? Well, I got said bathing suit in the mail and absolutely hated it...yep. Taking that ish back to the store this weekend.....but I did order a different one. Wanna see it?!

I'm all about the mismatched bathing suits! Is this cute?? I fell in love with it, and I know that I will feel more comfortable in this flowy top rather than the skin tight one. Once I get it, as long as it looks like I want it to, I'll post a picture!

New Face.....Again

2014-02-06T08:00:00.000-05:00

Yes, I know, you're probably saying to yourself, "wait a minute....didn't you JUST get your blog redone, like...a month ago?"
Well, yes, yes I did....buuuuut you know....I'm sure this has happened to all of us. You pick out the perfect colors, and get everything done, and you love it, and then you look at it like every day for the next 3 weeks, and all of a sudden decide, Eh, I really don't love it. Yep, that's what happened.
So, what's a girl to do? She sends an email to the best damn blog designer out there and she works her magic.
Jessica does some damn good work, and I will go back to her time and time again, I tell you! So, if you're in the market for a little (or a big) face lift. Email her now! You won't regret it!

54 Days and counting

2014-02-04T09:22:00.000-05:00

54 Days....until we arrive in Orlando Fl. Yep, as most of you probably already know, if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook....we're taking another trip down south and we're going to Disney for a week. I cannot wait, and Chloe is just as ecstatic!
But with that excitement, of course comes the "Oh Shit! I have to fit into a bathing suit and make it look good...."
So here's what I'm going to do about this!
54 Days, we're going to be here

And I'm going to need to look good in this.....

Sorry for the picture quality

How am I going to do that, you ask?

I found this courtesy of Shannon on her Motivational Monday post! Thanks Cuz!!

So, that along with a strict, low calorie diet, and the use of MFP....I should be fine. I've done this thing before where I ate nothing but chicken and sweet potatoes and greens 4 times a day, and I lost like 5 lbs of water weight in a week....I'm going to do that, closer to vaca time. But for now, it's going to be getting back to my goal weight and maintaining! Wish me luck, girls! I'll be posting pics of me in this bathing suit so we can see the progression :-)

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

2014-01-15T09:20:00.000-05:00

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! If:

We're going back to Disney only 3 months after our last trip!
I think Hubs and I are more excited about said trip than the Tot.
We've already started planning and making reservations.
I just cannot get my mind into this work out thing....the more I think about it, the more I'd rather throw up in my mouth...lol!
Eating healthy is just going to have to work for me....because that's about all I can muster up.
I have an obsession with writing utensils....I just spend like $20 last week on pens and fine tipped markers. Ouch!
I paid $.99 on the Beautiful Mess app yesterday. Yep!
I'm thinking I'll have to buy Chloe her spring/summer clothing early this year since we're going to FL in April....hmm...SHOPPING SPREE!
I have nothing else to say SO WHAT! To....

Stop over at Shannon's little page and tell us what you're saying SO WHAT! to this week!

2014-01-03T10:00:00.000-05:00

Go check out Emeals if you haven't already and try it out. I promise you won't be disappointed! I have found it to be so much easier to plan my dinners, and besides the initial shopping trip when we first started, the every week trip has actually been a lot less expensive! And I really love that!

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

2014-01-01T10:40:00.002-05:00

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! If:

I didn't make any New Years Resolutions.
My Only "Vow" to myself is to be better at being healthy in 2014.
We've been gone for over a week....and our house is a mess....
Today is our last day off work and we have to clean, put clothes away and grocery shop....Happy New Years to us!
I made an order online at Kohls before we left for FL anticipating it to be delivered to FL....well, it was delivered to our house, and it's all summer clothes. AWESOME!
Today will be full of me cleaning and organizing and grocery shopping while Hubs watching the Winter Classic on TV....Yay! #sarcasmfont
I have a mini heart attack every time Chloe undresses her new princess barbies.....GAH! OCD in me wants to glue every single little piece on every one of them.

I think that's it for me this week...must get up and shower so I can get all this cleaning and shopping done today. Head on over to Shannon's page and tell us what you are saying SO WHAT! to this week.

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

2013-12-11T11:24:00.000-05:00

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! If:

I'm sick....but I'm actually ok with it, because this means I won't be sick in 10 days when we leave for Florida.
I have a new blog design in the works....and I'm OH so exited!!!
I bought Chloe's Christmas Jams for FL in a size S instead of 4T because they didn't have 4T.....gah....she will be swimming in them, but ya know what...they will fit her NEXT year TOO!
I've become addicted to another store. It's called Simple Addication and it's amazing! Cheap, and super cute stuff!
I will pack Chloe's bags for FL this weekend, if I have the time.
We've slowly been giving Chloe Christmas presents here and there....oh well. It's amazing seeing her face light up.
Chloe is still addicted to Monster's Inc...like, hasn't shown an interest in Monster's University. LOL!
I made Hubs spend $20 on an Ugly Christmas Sweater that I will only wear once a year....if that.
I cannot wait to get in the car and drive for 2 days. Like, seriously, jokes aside, because that means, end result is warm and sun....and no work for 9 days!
I got MORE coffee cups for Christmas from my Secret Santa! YES!!!!!!!

That's all for me this week! Head over to Shannon's blog and tell us what you are saying SO WHAT! to this week!

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

2013-12-04T08:52:00.000-05:00

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! If:

We bought Chloe Monsters University for Christmas, but instead of waiting, we just had to give it to her, only because we couldn't stand to watch Monster's Inc ONE MORE TIME!
I bought myself a pair of boots from Kohls.com 2 days after I went to the store and purchased another pair of boots....hey! I had $30 Kohls cash, and I got the 2nd pair for $8!! AND Free shipping!!
I don't own an Ugly Christmas Sweater....but I'm considering buying one because we're having an Ugly Christmas Sweater contest at work next Wednesday.
The Christmas lights on our second floor probably won't make it up this year....oh well...at least the rest are done and the tree is up.
I seriously want to make EVERY SINGLE thing on the Emeals Low Fat plan this week....EVERYTHING! And you could too...if you signed up! Still 30% off right now!!
I forgot to move Peach the Elf last night...so I had to wait until Chloe and Hubs left this morning to move her....she will get a nice surprise when she gets home :-)
I'm planning to put half of the bonus (that I MIGHT get) toward paying off my credit card...how sad is that? Ugh...wish I could take it ALL to Florida, but no....I have to be a grown up and pay bills first...lol!
I'm pretty certain that Hubs wants an Xbox for Christmas....but I refuse to spend the money....so I'm pretty sure he's going to buy it for himself...UGH!
I asked for a Dutch Oven, a food processor, and a Shark Steam Mop for Christmas from Andy's Dad...yea, boring house stuff...
We're getting a Dishwasher from Andy's Mom for Christmas....call me crazy, but I AM pretty excited about that! Ours is a piece!!

Well, that's about it for me this week! Go over to Shannon's page and tell us what you are saing SO WHAT! to this week!

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

2013-11-27T08:51:00.000-05:00

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! If:

Andy took himself to the ER for the second time in about 2 months last night.....yea
I'd rather it be busy at work today then slow just so the day goes by fast...but that's not going to happen.
I'm undecided on which outfit Chloe will wear to which Thanksgiving dinner....she has 2 options, and I can't make my mind up.
Instead of trying to be good and lose a lb or 2 before the holiday, I've been being bad....really really bad....
I know I've said it before....quite a few times, but I'm loving Emeals!!!
I strategically picked my outfits for this week so that I could wear leggings and comfy cami with a flowy cardigan for Thanksgiving.
I'm considering maybe taking Chloe to see Santa this weekend so she can wear her Christmas dress from last year, one last time. Since we'll be in FL for Christmas, she won't be wearing a long sleeve, floor length dress.... :-(
I just painted my nails 2 days ago, but considering painting them again today so they are fresh for the festivities tomorrow...they are already chipped....

I think that's about all I'm going to say SO WHAT to this week! I hope everyone has an amazing Holiday! We shall see you next week :-) Head on over to Shannon's page and tell us what YOU are saying SO WHAT! to this week.

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

2013-11-20T09:07:00.000-05:00

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! If:

We got Chloe's hair cut over a week ago, and I'm impatiently waiting for the growth spurt to start.
My hair grows way too fast, and it REALLY annoys me that I have to get it cut/highlighted every 5 weeks.
I'm not looking forward to driving to FL in a MONTH from now...I just want to poof myself there....
I could not wait to watch the Originals....then I recorded 5 episodes and watched them all this weekend, and now I'm addicted and I can't wait for the next episode!
I bought myself a pink North Face Oso Hoodie for Christmas....from Amazon, 2nd day shipping because I'm that impatient....and Yes, I will be wearing it as soon as I get it. I cannot wait until Christmas.
I'm tempted to start packing Chloe's Florida bags....I mean, why not, right? She won't be wearing any of her spring/summer stuff in Michigan right now, right?
I'm constantly looking for tutu's and new leotards for Chloe for dance class....aaahhhh, it's an obsession now!
Chloe needs....YES, NEEDS a cute little Ballet bag. Any suggestions on where to find one, and not TOO overly expensive?
I've been obsessed with Emeals....literally, cannot wait to get my email every Wednesday! You could be too!!!! And right now, they are offering 30% off!!! Don't wait, Go sign up NOW!

Now, head on over to Life After I "Dew" and tell us what you're saying SO WHAT! to this week!

Lately

2013-11-11T08:00:00.000-05:00

I've been a tad obsessed with meal planning. I've been known to complain that I wasn't doing the best job with this whole house wife thing....ya know...when it comes to the whole cooking stuff. Well, I signed up for Emeals and I honestly think I'll never go back....it's amazing. I chose the Clean Eating meal plans, and well, as you might imagine, it's a bit more expensive buying healthy, not processed, clean eating items. But it's SOOOO worth it. And the fact that I get the plans emailed to me, with grocery list and all, well...it doesn't get much easier than that now, does it?!

Zulily....simply because of their amazing customer service. I had placed an order for a pair of boots a few weeks back. I know ordering footwear online is tough because all shoes are different, but I did it anyways....and when I got them, they were TOO big. Like, WAY too big. I was bummed. So I immediately emailed customer service, and they got back to me almost immediately. They said there was no need to return the item...they would put an in store credit for the item on my account. Perfect!!!! I'll take it! I posted a picture of the boots on my FB and Bam! A friend from work wanted them. So I sold them. Can't go wrong with that! And now I have $29.99 to spend on something else from Zulily!!

May Designs Planner....I'm in love! Can I just say, that I seriously cannot wait for January 1st so I can start using it full time. I'm such a dork, and I cannot live without a planner. Even though I use my phone too...it's weird, but I have to have things written down too. It's piece of mind having it in 2 different places.

So those are just a few of the things that I'm currently obsessing over. What are you loving??

Say Hello!

2013-11-08T08:00:00.000-05:00

1. My morning routine is pretty simple....yet it always seems to get hectic.

I wake up at 5:30, take a shower
I make sure my shower doesn't last any longer then 10 minutes....I'm a very punctual person
I get out and put deodorant on, then face cream, then brush my teeth
Then, if I decide to wear make up, I put that on next
Once makeup is on, I take my towel off my head and put product in my hair
Brush my hair out, and then I get dressed.
Dry my hair
Put perfume on
Go wake up Chloe...by this time, it's no later then 6:20am
Chloe and I wake up Hubs
Chloe goes potty, and then we get her dressed
Chloe brushes her teeth and we comb her hair
We go downstairs for breakfast and coffee
Chloe and Daddy are out the door no later then 7:05am

It seems simple, but somehow, some way it ALWAYS seems to get hectic. LOL!

2. I am on Instagram!! My name is crystalseed...and my 3 favorite IGer's are:

Shannon Dew
Kate Balla
AP from I Love you More than Carrots

3. My daily "must read" blogs....Hmmmm, there are quite a few!

Shannon over at Life After I "Dew"
Laura over at The Every Day Joys (obviously)
Katie Balla over at Loves of Life

4. You wanna know a little bit about my family? Well, Andy and I met back in '04. Engaged and started living together '05. Married '07, pregnant '09 and welcomed out precious Chloe August '10. Now we are living in our 2nd home, since June '12. And that's about it. Have any other burning questions, feel free to comment and I'll get back to ya!

5. Favorite Holiday Traditions? Well, We really don't have any traditions....other then putting the Christmas tree up on Thanksgiving. But that's about it. We're actually going to Florida with Andy's family this year for Christmas, so that might turn into an every year thing. :-)

6. And, last but not least....one random fact about myself?? If you have never read my blog from the very beginning, you wouldn't know that I am adopted. I was taken in by my family at 6 months old....and I didn't know I was even adopted until I was 21 years old....crazy, RIGHT?

That's all for me!!! Head on over to Laura's little piece of the world wide web and link up!!

SO WHAT! Wednesday

2013-11-06T15:42:00.000-05:00

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! If:

I have about 6 bottles of perfume that I use on a regular basis, and I'm currently trying to get that down to 1-2 bottles TOPS.
I do a shot of Apple Cider Vinegar everyday!
I secretly REALLY hope that it snows soon.....
I'm pretty sure I'm getting my blog redone this month, and I cannot wait until I get that email!!!
My mug that I use at work says "Mommy's sippy cup" and I wish it had more than just coffee or tea in it most days.
We have already gotten Chloe mostly done for Christmas! We spend $200 on her at TRU!
I feel naked without my rings. I'm having my engagement ring and wedding ring solder together.
I can't wait to get home and not have to make dinner tonight!

I'm done! Hop on over to Life After I "Dew" and tell us what you are saying SO WHAT! to this week!

Maybook vs Erin Condren Planner

2013-10-28T08:00:00.000-04:00

For the past 2 years I've been an Erin Condren planner owner. And I've loved every single second. Loved how well made they are, how sturdy and durable they are. Love the thickness of the pages and that it comes with a cute little page holder/ruler. Love that you can add a little pen holder so that you are never without something to write with. I love the fact that it has the folder and the little plastic pocket to keep business cards or whatever else in. All around, it's a great planner. Great, but a little on the pricey side. I couldn't afford to spend $50 on a planner this year. So I started looking around, and I remembered a few people had ordered a Maybook last year, so I wanted to check them out as well.
After doing much research, and looking into the Maybooks vs the Erin Condren, and whatever else planner I could find. I found that the Maybooks looked like it was exactly what I was looking for. So I ordered it. I couldn't wait to get it. It was less than $30 shipped. I was able to create my own design, and surprisingly it came SUPER fast!!! I placed my order the evening of October 17th, it shipped October 23rd and it was in my mailbox on October 25th! That's FAST!!!!!
I was very pleased!!!

Super cute packaging!

This is the inside of the package

And here is my book!!

Month view

And then the week by week view

This is how big they are...so perfect for me!

Size comparison to Erin Condren

And the thickness

All in all, I'm in love! I couldn't ask for anything more. The ONLY think that would be nice is if it had a few pages in the back for note taking, but other then that, for a monthly/weekly planner, this is PERFECT!

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

2013-10-23T12:58:00.003-04:00

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! If:

I was going to make my Halloween costume this year, but ended up buying the major piece off Etsy.
Chloe keeps telling Hubs that she wants him to be Superman for Halloween....guess he's gonna be wearing a cape. LOL!
Chloe has a drug allergy...we're trying to work through it.
I have eaten literally, nothing but veggies for snacks and lunch this week, and I still feel like a fat ass after eating dinner most night. What gives?
I don't like 1 of Chloe's teachers at day care.....She's just too old fashioned for me and she makes me feel like I'm a failure of a Mother.
I can't afford Erin Condren this year. So I ordered my first Maybook.....and I'm pretty stoked about it. The price point is perfect for me, and it's a lot smaller and more like a pocket book, so for me, I have a feeling this will be perfect. We shall see when I get it. I'll review it once I do.
It's taken us over a year to get into the basement and start the re-mod. We're turning it into a play room, and I couldn't be more excited! Hubs bought the paint. We're doing a toned down "banana yellow"!!

Well, that's all for me this time. Head over to Shannon's page and tell us what you're saying SO WHAT! to this week!

Meal Planning 101

2013-10-17T08:00:00.000-04:00

Don't think going into this post that it's going to be all this information about meal planning...because it's not! I'm horrible at it, and I need some major help. I used to be awesome, used to make my list, grocery shop like a champ with the best of them, make dinner at least 2-3 times a week....yep! Best Wife Award over here! Now?? Nope. But I have my reasons....
Reason 1, and probably the only reason....we had our Couples Boudoir Photo Shoot October 6th. So we vowed to only eat Salads and chicken for the 2 months prior to that so we could watch our weight and be nice and lean and not all bloated for the pictures. That plan worked out great! Grocery shopping was super easy and cheap too! I just bought a huge thing of spinach for myself, and made salads for lunch. And we had chicken Caesar salads for dinner. But now that all that's done....I feel like I need to get back into the swing of things. Making dinner's and such. Having family dinner time....making stuff that Chloe will enjoy. Ya know, the normal....Mom/Wife thing. So my attempt at this, is becoming a member of the Elite Emeals mailing list. I'm going to give it a try and see how it goes.
I got my first meal plan Tuesday night, so I'm looking forward to going grocery shopping this weekend. We shall see how it goes, and I will be posting the recipes that I love.
Stay Tuned...
