How I got my driving license renewed in 4 days!!!

Hey girls, driving is one of the basic skill every single person (irrespective of gender) should learn and practice. I have been a licensed driver since 2010 (last 10 years) now and have driven to multiple cities like Sialkot, Tarbela, Lahore, Mirpur, Kharian, Abbottabad, Mangla, Peshawar, Risalpur and many other places. The driving license in Rawalpindi is issued for 5 years and we have to get it renewed every 5 years. Till now, I have renewed it twice and there was a HUGE difference in the process 5 years back and this year.

Read on to find out what is the process to renew your Rawalpindi based driving license in 2020.

The steps to renew your expired driving license are below:

Visit the Rawalpindi CTP office located near Race Course Park Rawalpindi
Take a token from the machine and tell them that you need to renew your license
After the token, wait for your turn on the counter and once the counter calls your token number you need to visit the counter for capturing the picture & verification of your information.
You are requested to get your medical checkup done which is done on another counter, you will again get a different token number and wait for your turn. The fee of medical checkup is 100/- PKR
During the medical checkup your eyesight will be tested for both the eyes and if you are medically fit, your form/application will be stamped by the doctor.
After the medical checkup you have to go back to the first counter, get your information updated/verified; pay the fee (It was 950/- PKR for me as my license expired less than a month back)
You are given a receipt and your work is done!
You will receive your driving license on the address provided by you as soon as it is ready - the standard delivery time is 2 weeks, but I LITERALLY got my license after 4 working days of the application!!!

So I was really confused if the offices are open due to COVID-19 or not and didnt know where to ask about their timings and all. I texted the twitter id of the CTPRWP with quite low hopes of getting some information to be honest. I tried calling their numbers provided on the website but no one picked those numbers :) However I received their response the same day that the offices are open Monday to Saturday 8am to 4pm. That was impressive!

5 years back when I visited the same office for my license renewal, the building was shabby, there were loads of paper based files in every room and the office walls told stories from before the 1940s :P The process was tedious, it took a long time, there was some ticket that was to be taken from GPO Rawalpindi and I remember we kept on moving around from one room to the other for the multiple steps (capturing the picture, medical, verification of information etc.) . There was a HUGE difference this time, the building was totally transformed, it was a state of the art, updated and sophisticated structure, air conditioned interior and executive indoors. There were multiple counters and a medical checkup room within the same premises. The counters were equipped by latest computers, cameras and screens for easy verification of the data. Due to the automated token system and quick system responses, people were being catered much efficiently and professionally. Traffic police staff was available inside the premises and was courteous and considerate towards the general public. They were asking if the public is facing any hassle in getting their work done. Overall it was a whole new experience. I am really impressed with the way the improvement has been introduced and I am really hopeful that the process will be even more efficient and robust by the time I will renew my license again :) [Hint: expected in 2025]

I would give a shoutout to the CTP RWP for introducing these very positive changes in the whole Driving License Renewal process. They deserve appreciation and applause for ensuring ease and comfort to a process which used to be tedious & time consuming earlier. Thanks!

#Dubai #Diaries - Step 2 - Accomodation & Packing

Okay girls, this one is the second post from my #DubaiDiaries post. You can find the first post on my blog here. Lets move on the step 2 of your travel in Dubai which is accommodation and packing.

Accommodation:

Coming directly to the topic, once you are done with your tickets and visa, you need to decide where will you be staying. If you have family or friends in Dubai already and you can stay there, well and good. You wont need to spend any money in finding out an accommodation. Even so, you might be an independent type and would not want to bother anyone else with your presence, you can still go and find a place to live for yourself. The bestest possible way I would suggest is to use online booking websites like Agoda.com and Booking.com. These are both very reliable and have amazing features. You can sort the available places according to your budget, your location, hotel rating, even you can dig down for basic facilities like swimming pool etc.

If you are travelling with kids, I would suggest you to go with an apartment instead of a room because an apartment would be so much comfortable if you have to warm up some food in the middle of the night and so on. I personally think for an apartment you get better value of money and more independence as you are not dependent on room service for everything. Many of the apartments in dubai are serviced apartments which means that the cleaning, dishwashing will be their responsibility. They are also provided with small kitchenette along with basic necessities like Electric Kettle, Microwave, Induction cooking stove, basic crockery and utensils as well as washing machine. However, if you want to use the washing machine etc you will need to buy your own detergent etc as normally this is not provided by the hotel. They only provide you with the machine. You need to check in detail while booking that what exactly will be available in the apartment that you are taking. Not all of them will have all the facilities that I mentioned.

So the last time I went to #Dubai i took an apartment in Pearl City Suites, Diera Dubai. It was an amazing place and excellent location as every main landmark was closer to this location. I did that booking with Agoda.com and paid all the amount in advance. This time I did my booking with Booking.com and chose Gulf Oasis Apartments. I chose the option to pay the amount at the hotel so I didnt pay anything until I reached the hotel. It was also a very clean and cosy place and I enjoyed my stay there a lot. Booking.com normally has offers going on so you can get the charges suitable for you according to your requirements. For a period of 7-10 days (which is quite enough to see all major attractions in Dubai, you can easily get a place in under 100K PKR). Another thing which I missed this time is that if you are travelling through Emirates, you can choose Booking.com from the Emirates android app and get emirates loyalty points for choosing booking.com as well. I didnt know this thing and did my booking for the apartment directly from booking.com. When I came to know about Emirates & Booking.com partnership I couldnt get those points because I booked directly through booking.com and not through the Emirates app :( next time I will be doing that for sure :D

Coming to Packing, I would definitely suggest you to go as lighter as possible, but if you are travelling with a baby, at times the luggage does get a lot because babies have so many things. You need to have a lot of clothes for them, their food and milk (because generally kids dont take up new taste immediately). You need to keep warm stuff for babies as well as you might never know the new place's weather suits them or not. Emirates allows you to carry 30KG on an Economy Flex which is honestly more than enough. Another tip is to always go with lighter than what your limit is, because you will definitely be coming back with more weight hehe! One very important point is to keep a weighing scale at home and check your weight on that before leaving so you dont get any unplanned surprises. Most of the hotels also have weighing scales available so ask them while packing to come back and check your weight again. This can save both your time and money and you can save yourself from much hassle. Some more tips regarding packing are below:

If you have any boxes with sealed packets inside (e.g. Milk for your kids etc) get rid of the boxes and only keep the sealed packets. This will save space and will have lesser weight.
Take travel sized shampoo and conditioner containers, although almost all good hotels will provide you with basic toiletries, some people (like myself) want their own shampoo and conditioner everywhere. So if you are travelling for a lesser number of days, prefer taking small bottles. If you are travelling for lesser number of days, even sachets of the shampoos would work
Same goes with makeup, I might do a video on my facebook group #thepinklounge to show how I packed my makeup for the visit to make maximum use of space and take as less weight as possible. The idea is to use smaller containers for makeup and skincare products instead of taking the whole foundation bottle, body lotion etc. Take only one makeup palette with good number of shades to optimize the space available. Maximum 2 nail colors will be fine to pack. For nail polish remover, don't take the whole bottle. Either take the nail polish removing wipes, or take a smaller bottle of nail polish. Even better would be to take something like this.
Focus on what type of activities are you going to do in Dubai, pack 2 pairs only but if you want more then take (MAXIMUM) 3 pairs of shoes keeping in view the activities you will be doing. If you will be mainly out and about in sightseeing places, its better to get sneakers, joggers or sports shoes which will help you walk more. If you are planning to make any formal visits to family members etc, one pair of basic heels will do. I repeat, do not take more than 3 pairs!!! Personal experience ;) LOL, The colors better to take are blacks, whites, nudes, browns & greys. This way you wont have to worry if the color goes with your dress or not as these colors will go with almost all types of dresses.
Clothes; choose multipurpose clothes where possible. For example, one black trousers may go with many of your dresses. Pack it. Same goes with white trousers, khaki trousers as well. This would help you to pack better because for 5 shirts you might use the same trousers. If you are jeans lover person, you may pack one pair of jeans and maybe 4-5 shirts can go with it. You might pack black, navy blue and brown, grey blazers or sweaters if the weather is cold. For winters, pack a thermal as well because its normally light weight but may replace your upper coats and heavy jackets etc. Take 2-3 scarves, shawls in cases of cold weather. You can wash your clothes if your apartment has a washing machine so dont worry about reusing the clothes.
Pack your laptop, tablet, cell phone & chargers etc. in your hand luggage as normally airlines dont allow you to put them in the checked in luggage. Emirates allows 7kg of hand carry luggage which believe me is A LOT. You can carry so many things but I would suggest you to again keep it minimal and stay close to the basics. Wear most of the jewelry you are taking and try not to pack them in the checked in luggage. If you need to take some jewelry and cant wear it on the airport as well, please keep it in your hand luggage.
One tip will be to keep a duct tape with you in your luggage as sometimes some suitcases or bags or anything can break and you wont have any immediate measures to fix that up. In that case duct tape will be a temporary solution to the problem. Some hotels also provide sewing kits but still its better to take a small sewing kit of your own as well. It helps in case your button comes off from a shirt or something.

Helloooo my lovelies, hope everyone is doing well. I am back to my blog after a very very long time, and quite excited to be here. Since many of my followers already know that I have been away to Dubai for a month and so many of you asked me about the details regarding what to pack, expenses, best places to shop, best places to visit there. So I thought it would be best to put all of this in a blog post which can help many people if they are planning a visit to Dubai. As it was my second trip to Dubai so I consider myself fluent with their process now that's why I consider myself eligible to guide people who are planning to visit Dubai for the first time :)

Burj Khalifa - Dubai

First Things First:

First step will be to decide your visit dates, because that will decide your visa type. Once you decide your dates, you can purchase the tickets. To purchase the tickets you can choose from different airlines, Emirates, PIA, FlyDubai and airblue are common ones. Prices of each can be checked on their website. The ticket price also depends on the season (e.g. at the time of new year, Dubai shopping festival and other such events, the tickets are priced higher). Being honest, I would suggest you to go with the cheapest airline if you are travelling alone or you don't have a very small child who requires special attention and care. I chose Emirates because I had my 2 year old with me and wanted to be hassle free after reaching because Emirates has its own terminal at the Dubai airport while rest of the airlines are dropped on the other two terminals. But if anyone wants a recommendation from me, I would suggest to go with the cheapest airline because you can save up the money to use for your experiences in Dubai. The price range for one adult's return ticket these days is about 45K PKR and above. Choosing the least expensive airline also leaves you with more money which you can spend on the actual experiences in Dubai so that is anyways a PLUS.

For the visa, you need to have your passport (Duh!) and a passport size picture with white background to apply for Dubai Visa. So you just tell any photographer that you need the photographs for Dubai visa and he will know what to do. So then you have to give your passport & picture to the travel agent to apply for visa. Visa fee is different depending on your duration of stay. Here is a link that can guide you on online visa application further: http://www.dubaivisa.net . If you book your tickets through emirates, you also get an option to apply for visa from their "Manage Booking" page. You will need to pay the visa fee to the agent either via Cheque, Cash or online bank transfer. Visa fee these days ranges from 14K PKR to 16K PKR per person for a period of about 30 days. But for the latest and current rates I would advise you to check the above mentioned links. Secondly, on airlines other than Emirates, you will need to get an "OK to board" stamp on your visa without which you will not be able to board on your plane. The emirates visas already have this OK to board stamp and for this reason the emirates visa fee is a bit higher than the normal visa fee. The process of getting the OK to board stamp is to visit your airline office and show them your passport, ticket as well as visa. As per my current information, there is no fee to get the OK to board stamp. However, if you apply for emirates visa online the visa will be pre stamped with "OK to board" so this will save you the hassle of physically visiting the airline along with your documents. I travelled on Emirates both the times so I personally did not experience getting the OK to board stamp done from the airline office. Maybe someone from my audience can explain the process a bit better if they have actually experienced it themselves.

Conclusion:

Not much impressed with the product due to less staying power and below average coverage - Will not buy again

Today I am going to review a mascara by Stage Line cosmetics. This is a new mascara launched by them and I was sent this item for a review. It has been a few months now that I am using this. The Packaging:

It comes in a silver thick casing which is absolutely a treat to the eyes. The brush bristles are dense & thick.

The Pricing:

Since I got this one as a PR sample, I didn't pay for it. However, you can buy it for 995 PKR.

The Product:

So, lets come to the product's result. I have been using many other mascaras but Rimmel & Oriflame mascaras were my favorites. So as such I was not looking for any new mascaras. However, since this was sent to me as a promotional product to try and post my review I used it religiously for few weeks before posting out my review. To my surprise, this mascara has surpassed my previous favorites and is better than all of the mascaras I have tried earlier. It lengthens your lashes and at the same time adds volume. It also gives a bit of lift to the lashes thus opening up them and making your eyes look bigger. Even one coat of the mascara is enough and it lasts whole day. It would not come off until you remove your makeup at the end of the day. I use my normal makeup cleansing wipes (which by the way I make myself - read tutorial here) to remove this mascara. I have tried comparing my other mascaras with this one and this one has been significantly better than the others. I would rate this mascara 5/5 and recommend it to all of you.

Its a product which I almost NEVER skip to apply on face since it just makes your eyes so well defined and prominent that you can leave rest of the face as it is. The Packaging:

It comes in a sleek black casing with a silver top. It comes with a soft tip which is my basic pre-requisite for an eyeliner. With soft tips you can make thin or thicker lines according to your requirement while the hard tip makes it difficult to make a thin line on your eyes. I want to be in more control while applying my eyeliner so I always choose soft tips.

The Pricing:

Well, the price for this eyeliner is a lot (at least according to me). I bought it for PKR 1790/- from D. Watson F-10 Markaz

The Product:

Coming to the product itself, the brush is neat as I mentioned and allows you to make all kinds of looks you want to create with the eyeliner. The tip is exactly how I want my eyeliners' tips to be. It dries on the skin quickly which is a good thing, gives a very beautiful dark black line on your eyes. As it claims, it is durable and long lasting, as it hardly ever comes off during the day. However, after just 2-3 hours, maybe due to my oily skin, the eyeliner leaves a stain from my eyelid to my eyelashes (see the below picture as a sample). This is maybe due to my oily skin but its the most irritating thing for me as it never happens with other eyeliners. For me it just didn't work out well due to another reason, it does not even come off easily with makeup removers :( When I try to remove this eyeliner (have tried a few different cleansers) the eyeliner takes a very long time to come off. It also gets stuck to my eyelashes when I am removing it. So removing it is a mini struggle for me at least. I have searched on the internet and have found that #Artdeco recommends a specific eye makeup remover for this one but honestly buying a separate cleanser for just this one thing doesn't make any sense to me. For me, this product is a no-no. I will never buy this again. I would have spent this much of amount again if the eyeliner was actually that good. But sadly it is not; especially with the huge price tag.

I have used another #Artdeco #liquid #eyeliner (which was not the #Artdeco #Vinyl #Effect #Eyeliner and was priced at 990 PKR) which was pretty good, it didnt have the issues I experienced with this one. I hope I can find that one in market again :(

Well since this was a winter deal on their website so I got 6 lipsticks in a bundle which was called The #Funtastic bundle for only PKR 1650/-

The Packaging:

According to me this is one of very different and unique packaging for a lipstick. As you might see in the picture the packaging is really cute and bold at the same time with colors of dark red and gold. It looks like I would say an ice cream stick and has a very beautiful detailing of gold at the bottom from where we pull the lipstick bullet down.

Product details:

Coming to the actual result of the product; I think this is a good lipstick with a very beautiful nude pink color with hints of small glitter particles which add to the grace of the pigment. This color is easy enough to be carried with everyday looks as it goes with the natural tone of your lip somehow. It can also be used on formal occasions because of that little hint of Shimmer. It is smooth and glides on your lips due to its creamy texture. Also it does not dry your lips like many other lipsticks do. As far as the staying power of this lipstick is concerned it stays on your lips for a good time period of about 3-4 hours without requiring any touch up. In about 6 hours when you are eating as well it completely goes away. If you use any lipstick sealing technique like few mentioned here, this will last much longer.

Overall I would say I'm satisfied with the staying power as well as the color payoff of this lipstick.

I would definitely try other products of the same brand in the future.

Girls, i have been wanting to get an eyebrow mascara since like ages but never actually got a chance to try them out. I was okay with using eyebrow pencils for the perfect look but there was the makeup junkie inside me that always urged me to at least try out an eyebrow gel mascara.

I was not really happy with sharpening my eyebrow pencil every few days (yes I am that finicky) so I thought lets use a brow mascara instead. Read on to find out my views about the product!

Packaging is simple and sleek, like all essence products. A mini mascara which is compact enough to be carried in your bag. The color shows off on the box so you can decide which shade you want.

The Pricing:

I bought it for PKR 470/- from D. Watson F-10 Markaz, Islamabad.

Product Description:

Well, the product color payoff is average. I found only two shades available at the shop and one was really light so I bought the darker one. However, it was still a bit lighter for my eyebrows but I am using it anyways. The mascara brush is good enough for the brow shaping and helps in taming stray hair well. However the shade was lighter for my hair so I had a hard time using it and setting my eyebrows with it. Also it was not very efficient in filling gaps in my eyebrow hair and I had to put in some effort for that as well. This might be due to the lighter shade. It does keep the eyebrow shape intact for the whole day though. As a product I would mark it as an average product. Personally I would not buy the same product (in the same shade) again. I might try the shade 02 (browny browns) next time.

What 6 months of #motherhood have taught me!!!

As I mark the 6 months of my baby (mashAllah) with me, its hard to point out what I exactly feel right now. It has been a beautiful journey with its ups and downs, and with an amalgamation of moments of happiness, sadness, anger, annoyance, emotional drainage, physical exhaustion and what not.

I used to read this quotation before being a mother and now I realize how I never truly understood it earlier. Once you become a mother, or a parent for that matter; you are willing to undergo situations you didnt think you will. You are willing to forego things you never thought you will let go. Somehow your whole world, your whole decision making process starts revolving around this little creature who becomes the focal point of your life.

You have your highs and lows because being human definitely you have your own capacity, you get exhausted and tired while making it up to manage the baby, your life, your career, your social life and all other responsibilities and you are in a constant battle with yourself that you should drag yourself just a little bit more so you can be a perfect Mom.

To add to your struggle, the society plays a very important role; ever since you become a parent, people all over the world (yes i mean it) consider themselves to be the "Super-Parents" and are judging your child and your parenting skills inside out

Oh he is so skinny, you didnt eat well while carrying him;

Why is your baby crying all the night, maybe you don't know how to take care of him?

Why is your baby sleeping all the time, maybe he is too weak and lazy to get up?

I think your baby has a disability, his arms and legs dont seem straight to me!

You dont need much rest, women all over the world give birth!

If the baby is not well; dont ask us for solutions. You should take your child to doctor, how can you be so cruel??

Dont take such a small child to doctor, dont expose him to medicines too early

Why is his skin peeling? **how naive**

Why is your baby still waking up at nights, why dont you sleep-train him?

Why are you letting the baby sleep through the night, you are keeping him hungry!

These are just few of the examples which a mother is facing with every passing day. Not to mention that she is herself fighting a constant battle by judging herself all the time of being a good mother or not. She considers herself responsible for every single thing that affects the child, and the society (very conveniently) adds to her despair and always puts her in a struggling position. She struggles hard to meet the parameters set by the society, her family, her friends and most importantly set by herself for being a perfect mother and ultimately ends up too tired or exhausted.

Struggling to become a good mother usually takes away the small pleasures from her life which could be to enjoy the motherhood, to take care of her own health and her baby's. To see how important she is in the eyes of her baby and how beautiful life becomes with just one smile of the little one.

For me, stepping into motherhood has been a rollercoaster ride, and I have learnt so many new things in this period of 6 months which my entire life before the baby could not teach me :). I have learnt to be patient and at the same time ignorant (by ignoring unnecessary things). My time management was always an appreciated skill both at work and home but in these 6 months I am myself impressed with with the way I manage my baby, home, career, relationships and my personal life; I have learnt to be more responsible and since I am wholly and solely responsible for another human being; the sense of responsibility is at its peak. I have learnt to not waste time on issues that dont really matter. I have learnt to be restless, sleepless, sick & tired but still perform upto the mark in all the races of life. I have learnt how to stop socializing for a while if my child is sick. I have understood how adverse weathers will affect her so I would decline invites to vacations. I have learnt to be more flexible which is totally unlike the old me :) My decision making is quicker than before because I don't have much time to think about a certain thing as my focus is my child. I have learnt what foods to include and what foods to ignore despite my own liking & disliking as my diet directly affects my baby. I have learnt to wake up hours before my regular waking time to prepare for my baby's day ahead and I have learnt to sleep hours later than I used to sleep so I can do all the pending things before calling it a day. I have learnt how exactly the priorities lie in my life and how I can juggle between them. It becomes so easy after having a baby because you clearly know what is the most important thing in your life. No matter how rough the day had been, one glimpse on your baby's smile - and life is beautiful again :)

Motherhood has been the most beautiful journey for me these last few months; and I hope it will teach me a million more things in the upcoming years InshAllah. I hope some day my little girl will read these lines and understand the struggle any parent has to undergo while raising a child. Do you mothers out there relate to me?

The product comes in a beautiful transparent jar which is filled with golden honey colored fluid visible so you can see how much of the product is left. It is a pump bottle so you can control the amount you want to apply on your hair.

The Product:

As we all have very busy lives now a days; and to add the cherry on the top the pollution in the environment, heat treatments and chemical applications on the hair really damage the texture of our hair. We need to take care of our hair like never before. This product, I would say does exactly that but with the least effort possible.

As mentioned on the box and the bottle, it is an oil treatment with Yangu, papaya seed oil and maracuja oil. Yangu oil provides UV protection to your hair, has natural anti-oxidants and essential fatty acids. Papaya seed oil is said to soothe dryness, fight dandruff and nourish the hair and skin. Maracuja oil contains fatty acids and acts as an emollient thus keep hair hydrated which is very important for coarse hair. Together this combination of hair works hard to keep your scalp dandruff free, well hydrated, prevented by eczema and other skin/scalp conditions as well as keeping your hair nourished, silky & shiny.

I use 2-3 pumps of the product and apply to my slightly damp hair after showering. I would say that a little amount of product goes a long way, you can adjust the amount according to the length of your hair. The fragrance of this product is oh-so-awesome! and I just love smelling it. It has such a silky and smooth texture and gets absorbed in the hair quickly. Even your hands are feeling silky smooth after you have applied it due to the oil content which is equally good for our skin. Now coming to the results, the hair feels settled down and less frizzy after using it and the flyaway hair are a bit lesser. . In a few uses you will find the hair texture getting better and if you use it as a hot oil treatment you will notice the difference very quickly. Another good thing is that it does not make hair look very oily or sticky. The hair feel softer and smoother after application which feels really good especially if your hair was getting rough from the ends. Regular use improves the hair texture and the roughness is reduced. Overall it is a very good product and I think I will buy it later when this jar has been finished.

The Packaging:

The shampoo and conditioner both are packaged in dull gold color along with hints of silver grey. The shampoo bottle in particular is amazing and has a very unique design. I was looking of ways to reuse this bottle for something else once I run out of the shampoo (hehe). Conditioner comes in an upside down tube jar which is a conventional one.

The Pricing:

I got both these products as part of a PR campaign, therefore I did not pay for it myself. However, the price as quoted on saloni.pk for the #CareLine series shampoo is mentioned as PKR 565/- which is quite reasonable I think.

Product Details:

When I had to try this one I was involuntarily comparing this shampoo & conditioner with the previously reviewed #Keune #SoPure #NaturalBalance Calming #Shampoo For#Sensitive Scalp with #Chamomile, #Lavendar & #ArganOil. However, I found out this range to be different from the #SoPure range. Read on to find my comments.

The shampoo comes in golden honey colored fluid and has a beautiful fragrance. It does not take much time in forming lather. My hair felt softer during the shampooing process. I applied the conditioner after the shampoo which was of pale beige creamy texture and left it on my hair for a few mins. The conditioner really seemed to work on my hair and hair was soooo soft after rinsing the conditioner. I let my hair air dry to see the exact effect of the shampoo and did not use any serum or product on my hair. Once my hair dried, I noticed the rough ends of my hair were neatly tamed and were not seeming as rough as they usually are. The hair strands were smoother than before as well.

According to my usage this is a great product for dry and damaged hair as it smoothes the rough ends out and really settles the split ends and cow licks. Your hair will feel nourished, shiny & fresh. However, if you have oily hair then you might need to re-wash your hair everyday as this shampoo does not interfere with the natural oil balance in your scalp to keep them well nourished & hydrated. I also recommend it to the girls who are looking for a solution to their hair which is dry & damaged due to excessive heat usage and/or chemicals products (rebonding, highlights, hair color etc.)

As such I don't believe in favorite songs because they keep coming and your choice changes. But an all time favorite would be "Aadmi musaafir hai"

Honestly, I want to say makeup as I am a colorful girl and love the color cosmetics. But I know that you can not look beautiful unless you have good skin underneath your makeup. So if I have to choose skincare OR makeup; i will choose skincare :)

There are many actresses I like, Bushra Ansari, Maria Wasti, Anne Hathaway, Kareena kapoor, Priyanka chopra are few of them.

Well, since I didnt buy it myself I would skip the pricing and packaging part and will move right on to my comments for the product.

First Impression!

As soon as you open the bottle, a beautiful fragrance catches your attention, I just love the fragrance and so does my husband. This fragrance even stays up till the next day which I love about it. Its very very refreshing and does not bother the baby as well.

How to use?

I soak a corner of a face towel with this water and clean my baby's face with it. It is a very mild formula which cleanses baby skin without causing any dryness, oilyness, or any rashes.

Description:

Babies tend to suck their fingers at times. They also have this reflux issue in the earlier months which means their faces and mouths are always dirty and you need to clean them up again and again. This is where this No Rinse water comes up for the use always for me. It saves a trip to the washroom and cleaning her face again and again with water and running her under the tap (believe me its scary to pick a thing that small and carry it around the house especially near water where slippage is a huge risk *lol*). Babies are really tiny and FTMs (First time Moms) like myself are not the experts to carry them for slippery activities like bathing and washing face. This refreshing cleansing water cleans up the dirt, germs and leaves the baby squeaky clean and scented.

I will definitely be buying this product again because I LOVE IT!!!

Ladies, in busy life like ours, we are always looking for ways to avoid touching up our makeup every few hours and the products which claim to do so catches my attention everytime.
One such product I found in the cosmetic counter the other day was #Rimmel #LastingFinish 25 hour foundation. Let’s read on to find out how the product managed to impress (or depress) me ;)

The Packaging:

Comes in a 30 ml tube which is good enough to be carried in your purse. The tube is made of thick plastic if that is of any interest to you. Semi-transparent with bits of paints and text about the product which also shows off the color so you can decide it is good enough for your skin tone or not.

The Pricing:

I got it for PKR 1499/- from GreenValley Bahria Town Rawalpindi

Product Details:

Honestly, I am not much impressed by this product. Specifically considering the price it is for, the formula does not work up to my expectations. The texture is liquid creamy and thick enough to provide light to medium coverage. It is somewhat buildable so you can layer it up for better coverage if you want to.
I use a brush to apply this on my face and this product blends well on my face.
I checked on the internet about the available shades and was looking for 100 #Ivory but sadly Green Valley did not have the shade I wanted so I had to go with the lightest one they had (111 #Natural #Ivory). Therefore, my opinion about the product might have been affected by not having the exact perfect shade and this is possible that the product failed to impress me due to that.
Regarding the staying power, 25 hours is a claim which really makes up your mind that it will last at least the whole day; for me the product does stay for a good number of hours (6-8) with a little staleness. I am using this foundation for everyday makeup to work or to some personal visits around; but will not be using this on some important events or functions.
Will I buy this again…? No I wont. Because I can get better foundations around the same price tag with better staying power and quality I guess. I might try it again if I get the correct shade for my skin though.
If you are specifically looking for a long lasting foundation with good coverage and an all rounder, I would recommend you to try out Revlon Color Stay Foundation.
Having said all that, I will again affirm that every skin type and every individual is different. Something that might have suited me may not work for you and vice versa. My review is totally based on my experience with the product. You are welcome to share your comments if you have any different experience than mine.

The cream claims to do the following:

I used this on my 2 month old #princess and observed the below results after about 4-5 applications.

☁ Her skin was supple and clearer after using this cream
☁ A small amount of cream covers a lot of area on baby skin
☁ Cream has a thick consistency so forms a proper even layer on the skin thus protecting it against the wetness and germs in the diaper area
☁ Redness in the diaper area visibly reduced after two applications
☁ It does repair the redness and skin irritation in the diaper area

Apart from the above mentioned results, this cream claims that 98% of the ingredients are organic therefore least amount of chemical on your baby's skin. There are no parabens, no perfumes, and no preservatives in this cream which makes it a strong candidate to be used on the sensitive baby skin.

The Packaging:

Comes in a round shaped mini cream box with three sections each for one color. Nothing too fancy about the packaging like usual #Essence products.

Product Details:

The three different shades of concealer are for three different needs. The details are mentioned at the bottom of the jar as well.

Pink shade is for the dark circles around the eyes
Beige shade is for use against discoloration and blemishes
Green shade is for the redness on the face

Now coming to the results of the product, it is a good and compact piece of concealer which is easy to carry around in your purse. The texture is creamy so basically I wont recommend you to put it on a brush and then apply it on face. The best way to pick it up from the jar is using your finger. To blend it on the face you can either use your finger, a brush or a beauty blender. Blending is good but coverage is not enough for an event with heavy lights and photos so I think its better as a daily concealer. I really like it for the price it comes with and one jar lasts very long. I am still using my first one. I have not used the green one though as I dont have red spots on my face yet but the other two shades work well for me. Again, I use it as a daily concealer and dont use this one when I need heavy coverage. Overall, this is a good to have product as its really reasonably priced and the result is good enough as well.
