Spring is around the corner. It's time to start my next round of planting experiments.
I am planting eggplants and spinach this time around.
I have sowed 4 seeds of eggplants in incubator containers. I will select the strongest 2 and transfer them to the bigger pots when they reach a certain height.

When i asked the shop keeper what might have caused my pepper to drop its leaves, he said quite firmly - overwatering.
That should be it.
If it were the fertility of the soil, only the old pots would suffer and the new one should have survived.
anyway I will use some bone meal with the next generation.

The stems didn't get any longer either.
Why was that?
Last weekend, I suspected that it was due to the low level of fertility in the soil. I sowed the seeds of the second batch as soon as I removed their predecessors. The soil didn't have a chance to recuperate. I didn't add a lot of extra nutrients to it as well.
