Little karim

Little Karim is a famous name in mountaineer.He is born in the Village of District Ghanche Hushe in 1956. He hasnt equipped himself with power knowledge and education. To contribute his family from early age of his life he started grazing the animals and helped his father Muhammad Jan in agricultural activities. When was six year old he lost his mother that was the most difficult and embarrassing time for him. Anway in 1976 in the age of 19 he stepped out of his village and reached to Skardu with the intention of being part of porters to K-2 expedition team. When he reached to Shahi Polo Ground Skardu a famous British Climber Chriss Bonnington was selecting porters for K-2 expedition but he has rejected Apo Karim because of his height which really disappointed him. To prove his power Apo Karim make three rounds trip to the ground by, picking up Chriss Bonnington any way he got selected and started his career as porter. In 1981 Little Karim was the leader of high altitude porters with Japanese expedition leading by famamous Pakistani Climber Nazir Sabir. At the altitude of 7100m the expedition team's oxygen and foods run out and trapped, Apo Karim lifted foods and oxygen to them immediately at 7100m alititude and Nazir Sabir said the Apo Karim kept them alive.

In 1981 Apo Karim has conquered Ghashabrum-II. A French flim maker Bovin made three documentary films on Little Karim life with were names of Little Karim, Apo Karim and Mr. Karim and these flims respectively released in 1985, 1997 and 2010. The flim named Apo Karim won an International Mountaineering award which makes little Karim most papular figure in Europe. He has also climbed Broad peak, G-1 and several times to Gondogoro La. He tried to summit K-2 nine times and returned back100m away from the top because of weather conditions. Mostly times he rescued international climbers from heights of mountains. In mountaineering world he has great fam and popularity.

Because of his popularity among mountaineering community Lincoin University of Newzealand offered subject for P.hD study on Little Karim and he given an interviewed to the University in Newzealand. He has awarded Gold Medal by German Govt which made him more popular in Europe. Little Karim is among the most admired figure in the world whose Statue has been displayed in a Musium in France. In 2018 he was the chief guest on the occasion of Spain national event where Prime Minister of Spain accompanying him. The reknowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo met him and printed his shirt on Little Karim name.

Little Karim has also been working on social developement in his Village Hushy. Through his Village based organization he striving to educate yound generation of his Village.

Gilgit and Baltistan are situated in Pakistan over which are strewn some of the world's highest mountains-the Karakoram Range and across which pour some of the longest glaciers outside the polar regions.At glance at the map will show that Gilgit and Baltistan is situated in the center of the most mountainous region of the Himalayas. Nowhere in the world, probably, is there to be found so great number of great a number of deep valleys and lofty mountains in so small a compass.

Gilgit, within a160 km radius of Gilgit there are hundred peaks of over 18,000 feet (5,486 meters) including which is the world's second highest mountain. The town of gilgit is dominated by the 25.550 foot(7,788) Rakaposhi while Nanga par bat, 26,660 feet (8,125 meters) high, towers over nearby juglot.Gilgit itself stands on narrow ,fertile plain entirely ringed around by mountains, and enjoys a generally pleasant climate except of about two months in the summer when it becomes oppressively hot.

Baltistan is the north east of Pakistan.Skardu, its capital, is the starting point for some of the best trekking and mountaineering in the world. Like the rest of Pakistan's Northern areas, Baltistan is the high altitude desert. It rises from 1500 meters (4920 feet) above sea level to 8616 meters (28268 feet) at the summit of K-2, the second highest mountain in the world.The average rainfall here is about 200 millimeters a years.
گلگت اور بلتستان پاکستان میں واقع ہیں جو پوری دنیا کے بلند ترین پہاڑوں میں قراقرم حدود میں پھیلے ہوئے ہیں اور اس کے پار قطبی خطوں سے باہر کچھ طویل ترین گلیشیر ڈالتے ہیں۔ نقشہ پر ایک نظر ڈالنے سے پتہ چلتا ہے کہ گلگت اور بلتستان اس علاقے میں واقع ہے۔ ہمالیہ کے سب سے پہاڑی خطے کا مرکز۔ شاید ہی دنیا میں کہیں بھی اتنی بڑی تعداد میں گہری وادیوں اور بلند و بالا پہاڑوں کی تعداد
اتنی چھوٹی کمپاس میں نہیں مل پائی ہے۔
گلگت ، گلگت کے 160 کلومیٹر کے دائرے میں 18،000 فٹ (5،486 میٹر) سے زیادہ کی سو چوٹییں ہیں جن میں دنیا کا دوسرا بلند پہاڑ بھی ہے۔ گلگت شہر میں 25.550 فٹ (7،788) راکاپوشی کا غلبہ ہے جبکہ نانگا پار بیٹ ، 26،660 فٹ (8،125 میٹر) اونچی ، قریب کے جگلوٹ پر ٹاورز ہیں۔ گلگت خود ہی تنگ ، زرخیز میدان پر کھڑا ہے جو پوری طرح سے پہاڑوں سے گھرا ہوا ہے ، اور عام طور پر لطف اٹھاتا ہے۔ گرمی کے موسم میں جب دو مہینے گرم ہوتے ہیں تو خوشگوار آب و ہوا ہوتی ہے۔

بلتستان

بلتستان (بلتی زبان میں' بلتیول') ایک قدیم ریاست ہے جو آج کل پاکستان کے صوبہ
گلگت و بلتستان میں شامل ہے اگرچہ اس کے کچھ حصہ پر بھارت نے قبضہ کیا ہوا ہے۔ بلتستان کی سرحدیں چین اور بھارت سے ملتی ہیں۔ بلتستان پر 1848ء میں کشمیر کے ڈوگرہ سکھ حکمرانوں نے قبضہ کیا تھا۔ انگریزوں نے جو کشمیر ڈوگروں کو بیچا تھا اس میں گلگت و بلتستان شامل نہیں تھا مگر گلاب رائے کے صاحبزادے رنبیر سنگھ بادشاہ بنے تو ان کی افواج نے گلگت اور بلتستان کو فتح کرکے کشمیر کا حصہ بنا لیا۔ اس سے پہلے یہ ایک آزاد ریاست تھی۔ برصغیر کی تقسیم کے وقت بلتستان کے لوگوں نے اپنی جنگِ آزادی لڑی اور1948ء میں خود پاکستان میں شامل ہوئے ۔ اگرچہ بلتستان کی آئینی حیثیت کا تعین مسئلہ کشمیر کے مسئلے کے حل نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے ابھی تک نہیں ہوا اور نہ ہی انہیں ووٹ ڈالنے کا حق حاصل ہے۔ لیکن ستمبر 2009ء میں پاکستان کے صدر نے بلتستان و گلگت کو خودمختاری کے بل پر دستخط کر دیے جس کے بعد یہ علاقہ کشمیر کی طرح ایک پارلیمنٹ رکھ سکے گا۔ بلتستان میں دنیا کے تیس سے زیادہ اونچے ترین پہاڑ واقع ہیں جن میں کے۔ٹو شامل ہے۔ بلتستان کا تقریباً تمام علاقہ پہاڑی ہے جس کی اوسط اونچائی گیارہ ہزار فٹ ہے۔ لداخ بھی قدیم تاریخ سے بلتستان کا حصہ رہا ہے جو آج کل بھارت، چین اور پاکستان میں تقسیم ہو چکا ہے۔ گلگت و ہنزہ بھی تاریخ کے مختلف ادوار میں بلتستان سے ملحق رہے ہیں۔ سکردو بلتستان کا سب سے بڑا شہر اور دارالخلافہ ہے۔

The Latin name for the snow leopard is Panthera uncia.
Snow leopards live throughout the mountainous regions of Central Asia in Pakistan is found in the northern mountain rang in Gilgit Baltistan.
Snow leopards have been seen at altitudes as high as 18,000 feet (6,000 meters) in the summer time.
It is estimated that there are only approximately 3,500 and 7,000 snow leopards left in the wild today. It is difficult to obtain more conclusive numbers as snow leopards are so elusive and inhabit very harsh and remote habitat, which means they are rarely seen.
Snow leopards are medium sized cats, which weigh between 60-120 pounds.
Snow leopard body length ranges from 39-51 inches and they have thick, smoky-grey patterned fur with dark grey open rosettes. Their markings help them to blend in perfectly with their rocky surroundings.
