German President Wulf has announced his resignation, stepped down over the allegations of corruptions involving a dubious home loan. But Mr. Wulff denies it. According to him, "I have acted without fault and always been honest"

An ally of Chancellor Angela Merkel, Mr Wulff, 52, stepped down over corruption claims involving a dubious home loan. He denies any wrongdoing.

Mrs Merkel cancelled a visit to Italy on Friday to deal with the crisis, and said she regretted that he had quit.

German media say the crisis is unprecedented in post-war Germany.

Mrs Merkel had fought to get Mr Wulff, from her centre-right Christian Democrat party (CDU), appointed as president. He had been in the job for less than two years.

She said she accepted his resignation "with respect but also with regret".

"He dedicated himself to the interests of Germany," she said in a brief statement at 10:30 GMT, shortly after his announcement on Friday.

The presidential post may be largely ceremonial but this is an embarrassing and awkward distraction for Angela Merkel.

Christian Wulff was her personal choice, and now she will have to invest political capital to find an acceptable replacement.

At a time when her opinion poll ratings are high, this will be a blot on her reputation for reliability and good judgement.

The focus on finding a new president will take Mrs Merkel away from her task of trying to lead the eurozone through its crisis.

She has already had to postpone a visit to Italy to see Mario Monti, at a time when critical decisions have to be made about Greece and other issues.

She said Mr Wulff was convinced he had "acted legally correctly" but was "stepping back from the office, from service to our people".

Good news to all the incoming first year students of State Colleges and Universities (SCUs) in 2012 because
Vice President Jejomar C. Binay on Friday announced that the Office of the Vice President (OVP) will be providing scholarship grants to 1090 incoming students of State Colleges and Universities (SCUs) in 2012.

Not only that according to Vice President Binay there is also another 1,500 slots available for scholarship grants in St. Jude College while there are 30 slots in AMA Computer University.

"For students who want to enroll in SCUs, we will prioritize those who will pursue courses related to Agriculture, Education, Commerce, Engineering, at Information Technology,” Binay said.

The famous singer Whitney Houston is dead. Whitney Houston died at 48, she is a pop music icon. Whitney with her golden voice became very famous all over the world, but now she's gone. According to report that the cause of her death is still unknown. Whitney Houston husband is singer Bobby Brown.

Beverly Hills police Lt. Mark Rosen told reporters outside the Beverly Hilton that Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. in her room on the fourth floor of the hotel. Her body remained there and Beverly Hills detectives were investigating.

"There were no obvious signs of any criminal intent," Rosen said.
Houston's publicist, Kristen Foster, said the cause of death was unknown.

Rosen said police received a 911 call from hotel security about Houston at 3:43 p.m. Saturday. Paramedics who were already at the hotel because of a Grammy party unsuccessfully tried to resuscitate the singer, Composehe said.

December 2011 NLE Results to be released on Feb 11, 2012?

Rumors spreading now on the internet that the Nursing Board Exam December 18-19, 2011 will be released on February 11, 2012, Saturday.

As I go surfing or searching for the NLE December 2011 results this what I found see below, a certain blog posted about the release of Nursing Board Exam December 18-19, 2011 results (rumors).

A chatter bearing the nickname ‘BoobleDumpling’ posted that “according to a reliable source from PRC, 81% national passing rate, 38 topnotchers,” and “top 1 came from Bataan...”

The chatter added that the NLE results are going to be released on “February 11 Saturday.” Source:coolbuster.net

Today, Feb 10, 2012-PRC Pilot Test their Online Application System
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) today announced the successful pilot testing of its Online Application System (OAS) at the University of Baguio and the University of Cordilleras on February 1 and 3, 2012, respectively, to examinees for the March 2012 Criminologists Licensure Examination. The OAS enables applicants to apply online anytime, anywhere at their convenience. Applicants will just have to go on line and not in line.

Lea Salonga and James Ingram Valentine Concert will at Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on February 17 and at Waterfront Hotel, Cebu on February 18.
