I am pleased to report that I have just filed to run for the Republican Congressional nomination in Oregon's 1st District.

As many of you may know I ran a tough primary race for this position during last year's Special Election to replace the disgraced Congressman David Wu. Unfortunately, the victor in our primary race, Rob Cornilles, was unsuccessful in defeating David Wu's long time friend and supporter Suzanne Bonamici.

David Wu's Democrat supporters deceived us for 12 years by propping him up and hiding his unethical personal life, we Oregonians should not have rewarded his supporters by electing one of them to replace him as our Representative in Congress.

It is my hope that once the members of our community learn the truth about the woman they recently elected to replace David Wu, that they will support the conservative Lisa Michaels as our new Congressional Representative this November.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure has helped fund abortions which cause the very disease that they are supposed to be raising money to cure. To my mind this is the single most important reason not to support this charity. We should all ask some serious questions of any breast cancer prevention or research charity before making our donations.

It is no wonder that so many former Planned Parenthood clients were so upset with Race for the Cure for flirting with eliminating their support for the organization that facilitated their abortion "choice." Many if not most of these unfortunate souls may now have contracted breast cancer due to their uninformed "choice."

Senator Santorum’s only shortcoming is that he has not governed a state but then again neither did Abraham Lincoln.
The left desperately wants either Mitt or Newt to be our nominee because they have counter attacks all set up and ready to go for either candidate, but Senator Santorum is the wild card who simply cannot be destroyed with opposition research. Once Mitt were to get the nomination they will pull out the anti-Wallstreet “Occupiers” and argue that Mitt gave us Obamacare “we only copied his MA plan after all…” and with Newt’s full closet of skeletons on display for all the tabloids to expose we will find ourselves with 4 more years of economic destruction by Obama.

We must spread the word that the sky is indeed NOT falling and that anybody promoting such nonsense needs to be ignored.

Dear Senator Whitsett,

Thank you for standing up for all of Oregon, not just the rural sector. You are certainly correct that the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) is unnecessary, counterproductive, and dangerous.

It is unnecessary, because there is no satisfactory evidence linking human emissions of carbon dioxide to the Global Warming observed during the 20th century. That was most likely a solar effect as we experienced a grand maximum of solar cycles that brought us out of the Little Ice Age. Similar warm periods occur about every thousand years: Medieval, Roman, and Minoan. Since the present warm period began about 1830, long before significant human emissions of CO2, human activities cannot be blamed. You say that a growing number of scientists reject climate hysteria, and that is true. But a better test would be to look at the qualifications of those scientists. Many, like Professors Richard Lindzen of MIT and Will Happer of Princeton, are tops in their fields (meteorology and physics respectively). Science is never democratic. We do not vote on who is right. We only argue the logic and evidence.

The LCFS is counterproductive, because bio-fuels require roughly as much fossil fuel input as they return in bio-fuel. In other words, they are a monumental waste of time and money that returns only an apparent reduction in carbon intensity. They are a sort of 'laundering of carbon' similar to the illegal 'laundering of money.' Is there ANY benefit in fooling ourselves?

The LCFS is dangerous because it weakens our economy by encouraging wasteful behavior that only benefits those directly involved in the 'laundering of carbon.' Continuing or expanding this stupidity amounts to economic suicide. Our economy should be freed from these green shackles.

It is also important to realize that bio-fuels are inferior to regular fuels. Ethanol has much less energy content per gallon than gasoline, is corrosive to fuel systems, and needs to be trucked rather than sent through efficient pipelines.

The intensive agriculture necessary to produce bio-fuels damages our environment from encouraging the destruction of rainforests to grow palm oil to requiring vast amounts of fertilizer and water to grow corn. No legitimate environmentalist can support this.

Existing bio-fuel requirements have been a disaster for Oregon. Please help all Oregonians by repealing them, not by following California deeper into insanity.

Since the GA Secretary of State has as much as promised to follow Judge Malihi's recommendation as to whether or not Obama is indeed eligible to be placed on the Georgia Ballot in March, then I think it is safe to assume Obama will need to win his party's nomination and the general election without the votes of the good citizens of Georgia.

A Georgia Court has demanded to see proof that Candidate Barack Obama is indeed a "natural born" citizen before being allowed to have his name placed on Georgia's Democratic primary ballot in March.

I created this video in 2008 with fellow patriot, Jim Ellison, just a few short weeks after this mysterious candidate succeeded in duping the American people into electing him to serve as our "natural born" President, despite revealing very little of his background.

Since then every lawsuit addressing this matter has been halted before it has begun due to "lack of standing" which means that no one individual including one of his former political opponents apparently is qualified to demand our President prove his eligibility under the Constitution. We doubters may finally find satisfaction when this court hears the case tomorrow. I for one would dearly love to see Obama and his team defend the viability of that suspicious looking long form birth certificate that our President is passing off as the genuine article.

Perhaps if at long last it is proven that he has indeed been disingenuous all along in order to command the greatest nation on our planet, then the remedy must include trying Obama and every complicit member of the DNC, Congress and his cabinet for high treason then to resend all of his administration's appointees, laws, rules and agencies. As much as possible all should be returned to the way it was before Obama was elected to be our President.

While I understand that putting the genie back into the bottle may be impossible never the less we citizens of the US deserve to know that everything that can be done will be done to rectify this Constitutional crisis through implementation of safeguards to ward off any future attempts by any foreign person to again falsely assume our country's highest office.

Where did 08's most Conservative Candidate Go?

Mitt Romney met his wife at Cranbrook/Kingswood where both myself and my mother graduated from high school. My mother was a boarding student who was invited by her friend Jane Romney to spend Thanksgiving with her family in 1955 before Mitt's father entered politics.
I was able to meet Governor Romney after I created this video in 2008 while he was campaigning for John McCain. He was very friendly and seems to be a man of good character and I would be proud to have him take the helm and steer our country back to the shinning beacon of freedom that we once represented.
This will never happen if Mitt does not strongly embrace conservatism.
I just ran in a special election Congressional primary race against a moderate GOP establishment backed LDS candidate, Rob Cornilles. I recognize many similarities in how both the '12 Romney and '11 Cornilles campaigns are run. The same brilliantly stupid theory is obviously being implemented by both campaigns. The flawed concept that you must run to the middle and abandon your base to attract the small number of moderates and enough liberals to win is simply WRONG! You will obviously alienate any strong support FOR you by your base and no self respecting liberal Democrat will abandon their own party to vote for a liberal LIGHT Republican so you LOSE. Which is exactly what happened to Mr. Cornilles when he ran against our disgraced former Congressman, David Wu in 2010. I retain high hopes that Rob's elevated name recognition and the fact that he is running against a person who propped up David Wu for years by hiding his problems from the public, will deliver him a victory this time around.
This plan will not work for Mitt and hopefully he will throw out his current moderate campaign advisors and invite only truly conservative grassroots advisors to direct his campaign if he wishes to serve as our President.

Electing Attractive Conservatives Works Every Time it is tried

We cannot once again nominate another white haired candidate with nothing but a track record of making speeches in Congress. History shows these kinds of candidates lose every time.

Everyone secretly wants to be onboard a winning team but the primary is not the time to sacrifice your values. There are just two candidates who should seriously be considered to replace the worst President of our lifetime. They both are young enough to retain some of their natural hair color and both have clean records of success.

While Senator Santorum has not governed a state he does have a spotless record of conservatism and has proven himself as an advocate of small honest government. He has been steady Eddy so if we can get people to understand that he can and should win then he will with the strongest record of conservatism.

Governor Romney is also an attractive candidate who history shows should win handily due to his vast experience successfully turning around companies, the corrupt Olymmpics and the State of Massachusetts.
My sister has lived near the Romney family in Massachusetts for 20 years, so I called her in 2008 to ask what she thought of Mitt Romney's leadership as Governor. She said he was amazingly successful, especially considering the fact that her state is overwhelming controlled by Democrats.
When you look at his record he is accustomed to analyzing the situation and devising the best approach to solve the problems necessary to deliver a successful outcome. I was a big supporter of Mitt Romney as the most conservative candidate who was best capable to winning against Obama in 2008. I literally cried for our country when our last hope of victory, Mitt Romney, left the race prematurely in 2008. You can imagine my disappointment when I learned earlier this year that my dream candidate began moving to the middle and leaving his conservative '08 positions behind.
It appears to me that the GOP "king makers" promised him the nomination this year if he would drop out in 2008 paving the way for the MOST unelectable old timer moderate candidate, John McCain. Now that he is back in it he is listening to the same "know nothing" campaign advisors who have steered campaigns like McCains off the cliff for years.
Please someone tell Mitt the tired old theory that you must move to the middle to win in the general is completely false!!
Just think if you are a member of one of the majority groups to the right or to the left and you have an opportunity to vote for a candidate who is truly right or truly left in your own party and a moderate, which one are you going to vote for?
Battleground survey has shown for years that only around 5% to 10% of us actually don't self identify as either conservative or liberal so Mitt stop moving to the middle.

Unfortunately history has this nasty tendency to repeat itself. That goes for character flaws and superficial voting preferences alike.

In 2012 the solution is not to vote for either the weighty or grumpy old Congressman, as neither has Executive experience and both are too unattractive to beat Obama in the General Election.

There are several attractive candidates who are still in the hunt. However, the only attractive candidates with “Executive Branch” experience are the 3 Governors Romney, Huntsmen and Perry. Unfortunately, the only true conservative of the group reminds too many skittish Republicans of another Texas Governor who failed to communicate well at the podium.

In 1980 after 4 horrible years under another ultra liberal failed President, Gov. Ronald Reagan ran an unabashedly Conservative campaign with his charm, good looks and quick wit, we voted for his uplifting, Conservative vision of America in overwhelming numbers winning 44 states in 1980 and all but Mondale’s home state of Minnesota in 1984.

Despite being just a Senator, Rick Santorum can win if he emulates Ronald Reagan’s successful strategy, and runs an unabashedly Conservative, limited government, pro Constitution and pro family campaign.

From an historical perspective this is how it “looks” to me.

Was Herman Cain being Clarence Thomased?

This is a sad day for Conservatives like me, who believed that Herman Cain was the best remedy for our country.
Those of us senior enough to recall the 1st prominent high tech lynching of a Conservative, who's skin tone is a bit darker than the majority, should recognize that Herman Cain was on the receiving end of this same kind of attack that was waged against the Conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, during his Senate confirmation hearings.

A Herman Cain candidacy was the darkest threat to the re-election of our first Half African President. Since Clarence Thomas, persevered through the humiliating falsehoods hurled at him from his one attacker, Anita Hill, the Left obviously realized they needed more Anita Hills to eliminate Cain from the race. Today they succeeded in removing this uppity Conservative from his quest to replace our half white President in 2012.

We will never really know if these allegation of infidelity were accurate or not but like it or not we must hold our Conservative candidates to a higher standard of morality than our opponents on the left.

Character does matter!

As much as it pains me to say it, if Herman was guilty of ever pursuing a physical relationship from any woman other woman than his wife, then he should not be considered for the highest office in our land. Plain and simple, if a man cheats on his wife, he betrays his vow to God, his wife and his children.

Why would that same man not betray his vow to the people who elected him?

If even one of these allegations are indeed true Herman Cain defrauded all of us by even getting into this race in the first place. I hope that if he was falsely accused then Herman will be vindicated, however the very fact that he had to quit the race in light of these accusations presupposes the opposite may very well be true.

Ipad voting in my primary and expanding in the CD1 General Election

The potential for vote tampering in Oregon was stepped up a notch with the introduction of portable Ipads in my CD1 primary. Ipads were used in nursing homes to allow disabled voters to exercise their rights to vote for one of my 4 competitors or me in our November 8th Special Election Primary to replace the disgraced David Wu in Congress.

Since the Director of Elections, Steve Trout, once again defied our right to a fair election by instructing the county clerks in our race to ignore ORS 254.483, we now know they must desperately need to retain 1000s of extra leftover ballots for some purpose. Maybe it is so that they may manufacture the desired outcome via Ipad voting?

In any case, it appears we may never be able to trust the validity of our election results here in Oregon until we return to voting in the manner prescribed by our founding fathers. As a reminder to those of you who are too young to remember, this would mean that each person would need to register to vote showing proper ID. Then if they are so moved on election day they make an effort to go to their local polling place to hobnob with their neighbors while waiting to prove their right to vote in that election at that polling place by personally showing their voter registration card and picture ID. At which point, they are given their ballot to take with them into the private voting both to cast their vote without the influence of a campaign worker, spouse, or co-worker to assist with them with their decision.

Our "All Vote by Mail" system is indeed the laughing stock of the rest of the country, who assumes a system like this could so easily be rigged that there would be no way to trust the accuracy of its outcome.

The fact that the liberal media refused to report the views of any conservative CD1 candidate during the entire 2011 primary election is quite disturbing.

When I placed my name into consideration in this primary, I realized that it would be an uphill battle and most of the news coverage would surround the well-financed liberal front-runners but I had no idea to what extent these local media outlets would stoop to ignore the conservatives in the race.

After managing 6previous Oregon campaigns, 5 of which were for myself, just exactly how am I a “little-known” candidate as KOIN reported? I find it amazing that after I spent 2 years as a segment host on KOIN's own “Around Town TV” with Dave Anderson that there has been absolutely no mention of my name on the KOINLocal6.com website during the entire primary.

Despite airing interviews with the chosen 4 liberal front runners for CD1 on KGW’s show “Straight Talk,” KGW refused to comply with the FCC equal time law by denying us any opportunity to offer our conservative side of the debate. Likewise when we suggested to both KGW and KPTV that they should produce a Republican CD1 debate, we were told no, despite KGW’s airing of their 3 person primetime Democratic Primary Debate.

The only station that considered allowing our conservative opinions to be reported was the local ABC affiliate KATU.

Many thanks to ABC/KATU-ch2 as they also were responsible for the one and only Republican Primary poll which placed Lisa Michaels in 2nd place followed closely by fellow conservative Jim Greenfield in 3rd place.

Perhaps the king/queen makers in the mainstream media understand, as the great Ronald Reagan did, that to win an election a candidate must simply be a conservative. Otherwise why is the media so afraid to report on conservative candidates like the "little-known" Lisa Michaels.

We must expose the truth through our social circles and not allow public opinion to be carefully crafted by what they are told and not told in the news.

As we can now plainly see President Barack Obama exhibited narcissism traits going back to his first words to we the people, when he asked for our vote. For an unaccomplished adult man he certainly spends a lot of time bragging about the “I.” Notice the stark contrast between mandatory sections of his statement and that of his competitors who have actual accomplishments to consider.

The Lisa Michaels for Oregon 1st has Godfather's banquet room reserved at 7:30p 11/8/11 for anyone who would like buy dinner and wait with me for the primary election results to come out. The owner Pat has worked with Herman Cain, so I felt that since my campaign is as unorthodox as Mr. Cain's it would be appropriate to finish the primary at a Godfather's restaurant on Election night.

The Lisa Michaels for Oregon 1st campaign believes in asking for your vote, not your money because that is all that I should require to be elected as a true representative of we the people. My campaign has been run by several unpaid devoted volunteers. We were able to reach 100s of 1000s of commuters with our "Let's Take the High Road" Stars and Stripes sign waving on the Sylvan overpass and the Sunset Transit Pedestrian walkway.
With my 25 years of marketing expertize I understands the importance of word of mouth advertising, social media and name recognition. Hardly a storekeeper, waitress, gas attendant or grocery store clerk has escaped receiving a quick introduction and a card from me. With generous donations from friends and family we were able to purchase effective radio time on KUIK 1360 and today on KPAM 860 and pass out over 2000 cards with the words:
- Put Jobs in Oregon 1st
- Balance the Budget
- Taxed Enough Already
- Free Up Businesses to Hire More Workers
- Stop Spending Money We Do Not Have

I am proud to report that all of this was accomplished with far less than the $5000 needed to force me into filing for a committee with the FEC. Professional establishment campaign advisers will tell you that we have absolutely NO chance of winning with this strategy, but I believe we the people will show them all to be dead wrong on Election night. With my victory we will prove to them that it is not how much money a candidate has in the bank but how much passion a candidate has in their heart that is the true measure of success.

If meeting and greeting as many people as possible has not earned me the Republican nomination then this quite simply is not God's plan for me at this time. I will be happy in the knowledge that I gave it my best shot and met hundreds of wonderful Oregonians in the process.
