a look at these photos taken from the presently erupting Ejafjallajokull (ay-yah-FYAH-lah-yer-kuhl) volcano in Iceland:   photographers have reported seeing these spectacular bolts of lightning which seem to have come from the volcano. neat huh? i wonder what the science behind this phenomenon is.
