A Bit of Everything

A Bit of PS4

2015-06-03T23:16:00.001+02:00

Hello everyone!
I'm back to posting again, and i've been looking to buy a next gen console lately.
Alot of my friends have PS4's and they seem happy about it and it's always nice when you have some friends that you can play with.
I did some research and the PS4 looks like the much better option so i decided to go to the store tomorrow and pick up a PS4 GTA V Bundle.
I also ordered Destiny which looks like a great game, The trailer was looking good,
and i also found a great deal on it.

So what games you suggest i should get?
Also a friend of mine just launched a cool website, you should check out Stoner Stories it's a really funny story sharing website!

A Bit of Work

2013-09-13T14:47:00.001+02:00

Hello everyone!

I haven't posted for a while now, i've been working alot lately, maybe even too much.

I'm working as a waiter, it's quite hard as you are always under pressure and always have something to do unlike other jobs.

But waiting is very rewarding because you usually get tipped for your services, unfortunately not everyone will tip the waiter which is really discouraging, because as a waiter you work extra hard and try to give the best to your customer mostly for your tip, the tip really encourages to you go the extra mile for the customer, and even fulfill their weird requests, for example someone asked me to take a picture with him for some reason, he was pretty drunk though..

I have also learned to be more patient towards people, and handle better in stressful situations, because you usually work in pairs and communication is very important, and i often gave someones request to the wrong person, which was really awkward for me and for the customer.

So far i'm really enjoying the job because the employees are all young and get along with each other, and i really like having tips for going out on weekends and such, and then get the salary at the end of the month. and i also like the hours, because i'm really not a morning person, and i usually work at night.

A Bit of Gaming

2013-08-21T17:14:00.001+02:00

Hello everyone!
As you all know i love gaming, and i have a PS3 that i started using again, after a while that i didn't have much time for gaming, i bought 2 new games: Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
They're a bit old, but i was looking for an RPG game that would take me a while to play through, I already played the PC version of TES: Skyrim and i've had about 150-200 hours in it, which i really liked and i wanted another RPG game, in a addition i found a good deal on Zavvi, and i got both for about 30$ .

I've started playing Fallout 3 and so far i'm really enjoying it, i like how the dialogues have many options as opposed to other RPG games i played in which the dialogues are very dull and boring and i usually just skip them. I'm still not sure about my style of play because i really can't decide between playing the good guy or the bad guy, and i usually start of by being the bad guy and killing everyone, and then judging by the outcome decide if i should redo it without killing everyone and I also really like the wide range of weapons and items, and how different weapons are in this game.
I might review these games after i finish them, but i don't think that will be anytime soon.

Getting fit

2013-08-13T14:19:00.001+02:00

Hello everyone!

Recently i had quite a lot of free time, and i decided to spend it on getting fit, I started doing some street workouts and running.

My current routine is pullups, pullups variations, muscle ups, then i do dips and some leg raises, after that i run about ~4 kilometers. At first i really struggled because i didn't have motivation for training, and every time i had to convince myself to go, even though i had excuses every time: I'm tired, I have work, I should go out with friends instead etc, but i made it so training would be routine for me, and even though i might missed a few days of training, i feel like i overcame the laziness.

I have also got addicted to running, it started from short runs on the beach before or after my workout, and now i find myself running even on rest days, I find running very relaxing, and I usually go running really late when I can't fall asleep or just in a bad mood, running always make me feel better. and i really noticed the progress as when i started i could barely run 2k without running out of breath in the middle, and now i can run 4k without breaking a sweat, and I might actually increase the distance gradually.

The Nike+ Running app really helped me with running motivation, because you 'compete' with your friends, and it logs all your runs and you can see your progress at your speed and running distance.

I have also tried to improve my diet, i have been lifting for a while so i have experience with dieting, but I'm still not 100% committed to it, so i haven't made drastic changes to my diet yet, also i'm considering signing up for a gym membership soon, because a new gym opened near my house, and the prices are reasonable, so if i decide to sign up, i will have to really commit to it, and drastically change my diet.

Anyways i'm really happy i started working out, and I really hope i will be able to continue working out without losing motivation, and hopefully i will see results soon.

Back to updating

2013-08-06T22:07:00.003+02:00

Hello everyone,

I haven't updated the blog for over a year now, sorry about that, i kinda forgot about it..

Recently i stumbled upon some blogs, and it reminded me about this blog, i browsed it for a while and i got a bit nostalgic, after all most of the posts are from 2011-2012, and it's already 2013..

Anyways i purchased a domain for the blog www.abit-of-everything.com and i will be updating the blog regularly again! so expect a big post with some updates soon.

Some updates!

2012-04-04T22:36:00.000+02:00

Hey,i didn't post anything for a while now, i kinda forgot about the blog, but im back now!

I have a few updates related to other posts i made:

Broken PS3 - I have discovered that there was a problem in the tray that holds the bluray laser part,i have ordered the part from eBay for about ~30$, unfortunatly when i recieved the part i have discovered it wasn't the right part since there are a few versions of PS3's on the market,so i need to return the part to the seller to get my money back which means i need to go to the post office, and i'm too lazy to do it,hopefully i will send it back soon so i can get the righ part and repair it.

DIY Headphones stand - I forgot about this project too,i got sick of this stand and i might make another one soon,if any of you have any ideas or inspirations please leave them in the comments.

I have recently started playing Battlefield 3, i purchased it abit late but i'm really enjoying it after the patch that fixed a few major issues, there are still some bugs but overall the game is great, and i'm really enjoying it!

Leave your battlelogs in the comments if you want to play.

Everything breaks eventualy..

2011-10-15T02:33:00.000+02:00

Lately i started playing more with my PS3,i recently got Killzone 3 for it,and i've been quite enjoying this game,i was also playing Uncharted 1 and 2,i was 'preparing' for the release of the 3rd Uncharted..

So a few days ago i wanted to play some Killzone 3,so i inserted the disk into my PS3,and suddenly it wont recognize my disk,i tried to eject it but i wont even eject,it was making wierd noises.. i even tried putting my ps3 upside down, nothing helped though.

A few days later,i tried to eject the disk and it worked! i tried to insert another disk,to see if it would recognize it,and the disk was not recognized, but i could eject it..

I'm pretty sure its only the Blu Ray drive that causes the problem, and it would probably cost about ~100$ to fix it,so i thought i would get a Bluray drive off ebay and fix it myself,i mean.. how hard can it be?

Back from Italy

2011-10-11T21:58:00.000+02:00

As you all know,i was in Italy.. and no,i didn't die there .. i just didn't have much time or will to update the blog.

Anyways I'm back now,Italy was great,i stayed at a place called 'Corte Paradiso' which is a resort by Lake Garda.

We rented a car and drove all around italy,we went to Milano which was great,we went to Garda Land which is one of italy's biggest amusement parks, and it was alot of fun.. we stayed there from about 10 am untill 8pm..we also went to Verona and many other places.

So overall italy was great, and i will be updating regularly again!
I will also purchase a domain for the blog soon, though im still not sure which one should i get.. i will also probably get a hosting for the blog,i used GoDaddy for my other website and they have good hosting,so i think i will stick with GoDaddy for my hosting, and maybe for the domain.

Italy..and a little announcment

2011-08-04T23:56:00.002+02:00

Hello,i didn't blog for awhile becuase i didn't really have a good reason to,but this saturday i will be on a plane to Italy,i will be staying at this villa near Garda lake, also we rented a car so transportation won't be a problem really,i'll try to take as much pics as i can,and i'll make a blog of the whole thing when im back.

Italy aside,i was also thinking about getting a domain for the blog, since it doesn't cost too much, and i think it would be a good investment,i'll probably be getting it off Yahoo Domains or GoDaddy... and it will probably be a .net domain,im still not so sure about the domain itself,i was thinking about thoes:

www.a-bit-of-everything.net

www.abit-of-everything.net

which one do you think will be better?

Update: I added a Poll to the website about the domain.

An update on my DIY Headphones stand

2011-07-25T10:28:00.000+02:00

As you all know,i have been recently working on my DIY Headphones Stand, this week i started painting it,i got an can of clear gloss, and a brush i found and started painting,i was surprised that the paint was dry after about 2 hours. Anyways after about the 3rd layer of paint,i noticed some wierd black stuff on the stand, and then i realised it was the bristles from the brush, apperently that was an old and cheap brush..

I wanted my stand to be perfect so i scraped the paint with sandpaper,Yesterday i went and bought a better paintbrush, hopefully this one wont leave bristles on my stand,i will start painting today, hopefully i will get it done in 2-3 days.

Last few days..

2011-07-19T18:58:00.002+02:00

Today i woke up to a horrible morning,it was hot and i was sweaty,i couldn't open my eyes and i had a shit taste in my mouth.. it took me a long while to wake up,about half an hour,i hate thoes mornings..

Later on my friend called me and asked me if i want to go with him to get some shirts since there are some sales now, which i don't get.. the collection allways changes at the middle of the season, for example its the middle of the summer right now, probably the hottest days of the year, and fall/winter collection starts kicking in..Anyways i got 3 new shirts that day,and i ate a huge hamburger which was about 300g and fries for about 10$ which is was surprised that it actualy taste good..

A few days later i went with my dad to visit some family, and on the way we stopped at this street mall which is a pretty big street with clothing/jewlery/food etc stores, just like a regular mall,so i got 2 shorts from there, which is really liked.

The last days were pretty boring,i didn't do anything interesting, and the next thing im looking forward to is my vacation which is next month! i'm going to italy for a whole week.

I have also made some progress on my DIY Headphones Stand , i used some sandpaper to smoothen the surface, took me about 3-4 hours of work but its really smooth now and ready to paint, hopefully i will find the time to paint it soon.

Also im sorry i didn't post for a while,i wasn't in the mood for a blog, but im back updating regularly.

Got a new microphone

2011-07-12T15:25:00.000+02:00

I was looking for a cheap microphone with noise canceling features, since i had no microphone and i use skype alot to talk with my friends,so i searched online for a mic for about ~20$,and i stumbled upon the Logitech USB Desktop microphone,it said it has noise canceling, and i watched a few video reviews of people, and it sounded pretty good, and it looked pretty good,so i went ahead and bought it.
It took me about 5 minutes to open the box since logitech used the most annoying box, after i opened it there was a manual and the microphone in the package,i went ahead and plugged it in my computer and it worked instantly.
The micropphone itself feels pretty sturdy and has a metal bass,so it won't fall or anything. sound was decent and i was dissapointed of the noise canceling, you could hear the TV which is about 5 meters away when its on low volume which isn't that good,so the noise canceling isn't that good.

Overall this microphone is okay, the build quality is pretty good and it doesn't look like its going to break, but the sound isn't outstanding and the noise canceling isn't that good either.

My DIY Headphones stand

2011-07-11T12:13:00.001+02:00

Hello,as you all know i have recieved my new headphones recently and i didn't want them to lay around my desk and get scratched, and i looked for an elegant solution, then i found this thread on Hi-Fi forum about DIY Headphone stands,i found some really nice ideas there and i thought i'll give it a try..

It's not done yet,i still need to polish it a bit and paint it,but here it is so you get the idea..

As you can see the headphones fit perfectly on it

Also i have tried to listen to music with my headphones on my iPhone, and the bass was a bit louder,so i will probably get a soundcard when i'll have money for it.
