Electronic payments are simply those that involve no paper - neither
currency nor checks. Such types of payments rely on a complex electronic
and telecommunication infrastructure. Different types of electronic
payments include credit or charge cards and those made via the Automated
Clearing House (ACH) network like e-checks and electronic debits and
credits.

Electronic payments only came into existence about a decade ago when the
Internet became widespread. It provided an option for different banks
and financial institution to be linked together that allowed consumers
like you to shop online with the use of credit cards. Now you can simply
make purchases online by giving our credit card information, click the
send button on the page and wait for the item to be shipped right in
front of you doorstep.

So, how does electronic payment processing take place? First, you make
the intent to make a purchase with your credit card online. The E-store
generates an invoice for the purchase and selects the credit card that
is going to be utilized. The store then submits a payment request to
your credit card company.

When you first think of the words nurses' uniform, what images conjure up in your head? Perhaps you think about the more traditional nurse in a dress and cap. You might think of a nurse as simply wearing a pair of barco scrubs. Some of you might first think of a nurses Halloween type costume. Whatever images first come to your mind, the nurses' uniform has undergone some major changes within the last century.

What nurses have now as uniforms dates back many years in history. What
they wear now actually was derived from the habits of nuns for hygienic
as well as identification purposes. Though the nurses' uniforms had
evolved and undergone a lot of transformations, the basic style can
still be identified from the many variants that it took. In some
countries, nurses are still required to wear their traditional dress,
pinafore apron and their nurse's cap. But in many hospitals and medical
centers, nurses uniform had been transformed into something more
stylish and trendy-looking to keep nurses in the medical field
especially not that this age old profession is no longer limited to
females and more and more male counterparts are becoming involved in the
nursing profession.

Whichever side of the fence you happen to be on depends on your own
personal style. In most cases it also depends on which generation you
belong to. The traditional nurses' uniform now seems to be a blast from
the past. However, there are still some countries in which they still
wear the traditional uniform rather than scrubs. Either way, the nurses
that provide us care each and every day deserve our utmost respect and
thanks for doing their hard jobs. Without nurses most of us who walk
into a hospital's emergency room would be missing out on the genuine
care that only nurses seem to provide.

Are Hybrid Vehicles the Answer to Rising Energy Prices?

There are a number of hybrid cars on the market today. Some of the more popular models are the Honda Civic Hybrid, Honda Accord Hybrid, Toyota Prius, Toyota Camry Hybrid, and the Ford Escape Hybrid. As a result of those who are environmentally minded, many more hybrid vehicles are coming to market, in addition to cars. Now hybrid trucks and hybrid SUVs are also becoming very popular.

There are some viable alternatives to the gasoline or diesel engine, available to the average consumer, when looking for a new vehicle. The hybrid car has become much more popular recently. A hybrid car is one that operates on more than one fuel system. The most common hybrid vehicle combines fossil fuel with electric energy. These cars primarily run on gasoline, but are assisted by electric current that is supplied by a rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), battery pack. With this combination of fuel systems, there are two positive outcomes; fuel efficiency is improved, and engine exhaust emissions are cut down.

If you are buying a used car, be a little leery of hybrids. The battery packs in a hybrid car have to be replaced after 80,000 to 150,000 miles. In some states they are warrantied for 150,000 miles, or up to eight years. Depending on the age of the car, it may cost you more to replace this battery pack than the car is worth.

When comparing the price of a hybrid vehicle versus a non-hybrid, it's wise to get quotes on like models for your comparison. What I mean is this. If you are looking at a Civic Hybrid, compare its price to the regular Civic. You can then calculate the difference in price. The difference is what you are paying extra for the hybrid. By doing this, it will help you see if you can actually save money in the long run by spending a little more up front.

How much better is the gas mileage with a hybrid car? It all depends on the type of driving you do. Overall, hybrid cars save at least 15% on the amount of fuel used. In some driving environments, you may not save anything. For example, trying to accelerate while going up hills will decrease your efficiency, as it can with any vehicle.

Here are some driving styles that can affect how a hybrid car works: When at a full stop, the gas engine usually shuts off. This eliminates idling, and reduces emissions. However, in traffic with a lot of stop and go situations, this can also save a fair amount of fuel. If you are in stop and go traffic all day, the gas engine may have to switch on to keep the battery fully charged.

When accelerating from a stop, if you do it like your grandmother, the electric motor usually propels the hybrid car through the current supplied by the battery pack. This is where you can save the most with a hybrid. Unfortunately, that's not how I drive most of the time.

When you use heavy acceleration, this draws power from both the electric motor and the gas motor. If you do a lot of this style of driving, you probably won't save much, if anything, with the hybrid car.

During highway driving, the car is typically powered by the gas engine alone. Whenever the gas engine is running, it is charging the battery pack, but you don't receive any added fuel efficiency because of the hybrid design. If most of your driving is on the highway, you may not save much gas at all with the hybrid. The only advantage of a hybrid car in this instance is a slight improvement in gas mileage, due primarily to the smaller engine. Several of the hybrids also are equipped with a variable transmission. This will allow the engine to operate more efficiently, by using an optimal RPM at all times.

When you break gently, coast, or decelerate, the hybrid electric motor works in reverse. It is now converting kinetic energy into electric energy as a generator. The process used to charge the battery is known as regenerative braking. This process charges the battery pack, which eliminates any need to ever plug the car in for charging. By the way, a hybrid car can't be plugged in to charge the battery. That isn't part of its design.

When you back up in a hybrid car, the electric motor does all the work, as the gasoline engine is disengaged. Since most people don't back up that much, the savings of fuel in this mode is very minimal.

If a hybrid car is driven properly, one can see a fuel savings of at least 15% or more. In that case, the hybrid vehicle may be the answer to rising energy prices.

Ford Hybrids Move Up a Gear

Ford’s two new hybrid vehicles, the C-MAX Hybrid and C-MAX Energi
plug-in hybrid, are projected to set a new benchmark for fuel economy
when they go on sale next year.

The C-MAX Energi is
expected to deliver a better fuel economy equivalent in electric mode
than the Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid with a 500-mile overall driving
range, more than Chevrolet Volt. The new C-MAX Hybrid is targeted to
achieve better fuel economy than Toyota Prius v.

Both
vehicles feature the next generation of Ford’s acclaimed powersplit
technology that will allow operation in electric mode at higher speeds
than any other hybrid.

“C-MAX is the right car for the
time as it combines the dynamics and quality of a traditional car with
the versatility of a MAV and leading fuel efficiency that you cannot
even get from Toyota,” said Sherif Marakby, director of Ford’s
Electrification Programs and Engineering.

C Max Hybrids 2012

The C-MAX hybrids headline Ford’s transformed lineup, one-third
of which will feature a model with 40 mpg or more in 2012, building on
the company’s commitment to give fuel-efficiency-minded customers the
Power of Choice.

Ford’s near-term
electrification plan calls for the company to triple production
capacity of its electrified vehicle range by 2013. The C-MAX vehicles
will be built on the company’s global C-segment platform and are two of
five electrified vehicles Ford plans to launch in North America in
2012.

Scheduled to start hitting showroom
floors in the second half of 2012, the C-MAX hybrids will be built at
Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Mich., with production powered
in part by one of the largest solar energy generator systems in the
state.

More hybrid innovations

Ford
holds approximately 500 patents that cover technologies in its
electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles like C-MAX Energi in
addition to several hundred patent-pending applications.

With
20 years of Ford research and innovation behind the software and
hardware technology driving them, the C-MAX vehicles also offer a
proven design and nameplate with more than 100,000 sold in Europe since
it launched in late 2010.

The C-MAX hybrids
will be the company’s first dedicated hybrid vehicle line and the first
MAV (multi-activity vehicle) line in North America.

“The
C-MAX Hybrid and C-MAX Energi are designed to meet the needs of
customers looking to ‘plus-up’ and optimize their hybrid car
experience,” said Amy Machesney, C-MAX Hybrid and C-MAX Energi Marketing
manager. “These customers are living more environmentally responsible
lives and may have bought a hybrid in the past. They are now ready for
more hybrid choice, combined with style, better performance and
additional versatility.”

Fuel efficiency, range and power

C-MAX
Hybrid is projected to deliver class-leading fuel economy and beat the
Toyota Prius v in both city and highway equivalent miles per gallon.

C-MAX
Energi is projected to deliver better fuel economy in electric mode
than the Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid and is projected to achieve more
than 500 miles of overall driving range.

The C-MAX line hits impressive fuel efficiency and range figures without sacrificing driving performance.

“With
C-MAX, you get road-holding capability, sportiness and performance in
addition to leading fuel economy, great versatility, great features and
great technology in a package designed to exceed customer
expectations,” said John Davis, C-MAX chief nameplate engineer.

Technology

The
C-MAX line features the company’s innovative hands-free liftgate that
allows quick and easy access to the cargo area without ever needing to
fumble for keys. A gentle kicking motion under the rear bumper opens
the liftgate when used in combination with a key fob the user keeps in
his or her pocket or purse that tells the car it’s OK to engage. The
same motion can be used to close the liftgate.

The vehicles also feature the newest version of SYNC® with MyFord Touch® to help inform, enlighten, engage and empower drivers – with an emphasis on increasing fuel economy.

This
feature offers multiple ways for customers to manage and control their
phone, navigation, entertainment and climate functions through voice
commands, menus accessed through controls on the steering wheel, touch
screens, buttons or knobs. In C-MAX Energi, the system offers
additional information such as battery state of charge and distance to
the next charge point.

The C-MAX also offers the next generation of SmartGauge®
with EcoGuide. Designed to help drivers get the most from the C-MAX,
information such as instantaneous fuel economy can be displayed on the
left cluster to help drivers more closely monitor how their driving
behavior affects the vehicle’s efficiency.

In
the right cluster, redesigned imagery of green leaves shows overall
driving efficiency. The left cluster shows Brake Coach, a feature that
helps drivers optimize their use of the regenerative braking system so
that driving range can be enhanced through proper braking techniques.

Available for C-MAX Energi is the MyFord®
Mobile smartphone application that allows users to monitor charging,
receive alerts, find charge stations, plan trips and do more from their
smartphones or computers for an effortless transition to an
electrified vehicle lifestyle.

Other available technology features on C-MAX include active park assist, push-button start, AM/FM/CD/MP3 Sony® Audio, HD Radio™ and voice-activated Navigation System.

Versatility

As
Ford’s first North American MAVs, C-MAX Hybrid and C-MAX Energi
provide customers with plenty of interior versatility and flexibility
along with the urban maneuverability of a smaller vehicle.

The
C-MAX line features a high roof design that gives each vehicle an
overall height of 64 inches along with a higher command-style seat
position instead of a cockpit-type. It also features five-passenger
seating that includes a split, fold-flat second-row seat.

C-MAX
Hybrid provides 54.3 cubic feet of space behind the first row and 24.5
cubic feet behind the second row. In C-MAX Energi, there is 43.3 cubic
feet behind the first row and 19.2 cubic feet behind the second row.

Quality and ingenuity

Although
Ford’s C-MAX vehicles are new, the software and hardware technology
going in them has been evolving for nearly two decades.

The
C-MAX line also benefits from analysis of more than 500,000 miles of
data collected from Ford’s Escape plug-in hybrid test fleet, which
helped engineers understand how plug-in hybrid vehicles are driven and
charged and how parts perform under certain conditions.

“The
result is a stunningly efficient system that has been entirely
developed by Ford in-house,” said Marakby. “That’s crucial because it
allows for development of one highly efficient system as opposed to
integrating pieces of software and hardware made by different parties
with hope that it will not only function properly but also efficiently.”

C-MAX
Hybrid and C-MAX Energi get their power through the combination of a
gasoline engine and a battery-driven electric motor. When powered by
gasoline, the C-MAX Hybrid and C-MAX Energi use the all-new 2.0-liter
Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine – a powerful and fuel-efficient
engine and among the most advanced non-turbocharged four-cylinder
powertrains Ford has ever offered.

The
electric motors of the C-MAX hybrids are powered by advanced
lithium-ion (li-ion) battery systems designed to maximize use of common,
high-quality components, such as control board hardware that has
proven field performance in Ford’s critically acclaimed hybrid
vehicles.

Li-ion battery packs are more
efficient than nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) batteries. They also are 25
to 30 percent smaller and 50 percent lighter than NiMH batteries used
in today’s first-generation hybrid vehicles.

C-MAX
hybrids offer Ford’s next-generation powersplit architecture that
allows the electric motor and gasoline-powered engine to work together
or separately to maximize efficiency. The engine also can operate
independently of vehicle speed, charging the batteries or providing
power to the wheels as needed. The motor alone can provide sufficient
power to the wheels in low-speed, low-load conditions and work with the
engine at higher speeds.

In the C-MAX Hybrid,
the li-ion battery pack is recharged when the gasoline engine is in
operation. Further, the regenerative braking system recaptures more
than 95 percent of the braking energy that would otherwise be lost, and
is able to use that power to help charge the battery. C-MAX Hybrid
requires no plug-in charging.

C-MAX Energi is
charged by connecting the vehicle’s external charge port to either a
standard 120-volt outlet or available 240-volt charging station.

Safety

The C-MAX hybrids offer standard safety technologies such as the MyKey® teen safety feature, SYNC 911 Assist™ and seven airbags. SYNC 911 Assist
uses hands-free phone capabilities to connect the driver directly with
a local 911 operator through the paired phone should an accident occur
in which an airbag deploys.

The
next-generation MyKey features now allow parents to choose from
multiple top speed limits and blocking of explicit satellite radio
programming. MyKey also provides a persistent audible warning if front
occupants are not wearing seat belts.

The
C-MAX hybrids also feature standard safety and driver-assist
technologies, including Curve Control that is designed to slow the
vehicle when it’s cornering too fast and Torque Vectoring Control to
help accelerate through a turn when necessary. AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC) and electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) also are standard.

Mandatory Car Maintenance

Unless you live in a city with easily accessible mass transit, you rely on your car for your day to day life. Whether you drive into town from the outskirts on a daily basis or just enjoy visiting friends in neighboring towns, your car must be in tip-top shape or you'll be stuck in the middle of nowhere. By making sure to keep your car tuned up, you also ensure your own safety and avoid a lot of frustration. These mandatory auto maintenance tips are the most important things you should do for your car in order to keep it running smoothly for years to come.

Oil change: You should be getting an oil change every 3,000 miles or 3 months in order to keep your car up and running. If you have experience changing oil, you can do this at home and save some money on the cost of labor that a mechanic would typically charge.

Spark plugs: Typically, you'll have conventional spark plugs in your car, which should be changed every 30,000 miles. However, if you know your car has double platinum spark plugs, they should be changed every 50,000 miles.

Transmission filter and fluid: Your car's transmission filter should be changed at 30,000, 90,000, and 150,000 miles. The transmission fluid should be changed at 60,000, 120,000, and 180,000 miles.
Fuel filter: Unless your car's fuel filter is in the fuel tank, you should be changing it every 35,000 to 40,000 miles. However, if your tank is ever dropped, you should change the fuel filter immediately.
Coolant flush: You should have your mechanic do a coolant flush every 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Tire rotation: One of the most important maintenance tips is tire rotation. Every 5,000 to 8,000 miles, you should have your car's tires rotated. If left untouched, the car's tires will wear down at an unbalanced rate because the weight in your car can be distributed unevenly. Your back left tire may be worn down way less than your front right tire, which will cause balance issues.

Tire alignment: Going hand in hand with tire rotation is getting the alignment checked out every 15,000 to 20,000 miles. This can go unchecked for some time as long as your car is still driving straight.

Brake fluid and power steering fluid flushes: These fluids should be flushed every two years or when they look dirty, whichever comes first.

Professional fuel injection: Your car needs a fuel injection done by a professional mechanic every 40,000 miles to keep it running smoothly.

Throttle bore plate: The throttle bore plate must be cleaned every 20,000 miles.

Air induction: This service should be performed every 20,000 miles as well.

Air filter, cabin air filter, PCV valve: These three items should be replaced as needed.

Taking your car in for these tune-ups is easy enough, but the most important car care tip is to have reliable auto insurance.

Okay, I'll be honest with you. I recycle. I turn off the lights religiously when I leave the room. I even turn off the water while I brush my teeth. I generally understand that it's up to me to make good, positive changes to become less wasteful and take steps to reverse some of the damage we have done to the planet. I won't go so far as to pay carbon credits as I find that a bit strange, but I am still wavering on replacing my big old, fuel wasting SUV with a hybrid. I know they help the environment, but I need more convincing, more reasons to buy a hybrid car than saving a few bucks at the gas station.

What I found were actually quite a few reasons.

1. It's time to get started. You're going to pay more for a hybrid than a traditional car. Eventually, you will make up the difference in gas savings, but that will take some time. While both these points sound like I'm telling you it's not a good idea, the reality is that we have to start somewhere. We know that Congress has ordered automakers to begin seriously working on cars that will replace what we drive today. We're not there yet, but we are working to get there. These cars are a step in that direction. The inevitable is coming and you might as well get started.

2. You really are helping to reverse emissions damage. When you drive a hybrid, you are helping to reduce the nasty brown cloud we've all been complaining about.

3. A hybrid makes sense. You have the option, previously unattainable in simple electric cars, of moving between the traditional fuel reserves or operating totally off electric, usually with the flick of a switch, whenever you need it.

4. You recharge your battery every time you break.

5. You now have options you didn't have with hybrids even five years ago. That would include the option to get into an SUV hybrid. However, it now also means that, since manufacturers have been at this for a little time now, they know that you want those creature comforts you've gotten used to in your traditional car. So, you don't have to opt for an ugly tiny box of a car anymore.

6. You will get a really, really good tax break from the federal government for buying your hybrid.

7. You get primo parking at the library and at many other locations. Okay, so that last one is just my personal thing, but I must admit that I hate finding a parking spot in the city and I have always envied those spots reserved for alternate fuel vehicles.

Researching information on hybrid cars helped me dispel my own personal myths about hybrids. I thought they only came in tiny and ugly and I realize now that five years have brought about lots of change. I also see that they are no longer as expensive as they used to be. I suppose that is like, for fear of dating myself, how it was with the first VCR I bought which was nearly a $1000. Blows your mind, doesn't it?

Hybrid Car Maintenance

Searching out and finding the right car loan for one of these can also be a daunting task.

As popular as the vehicles are, some buyers worry that hybrids can be more expensive and more difficult to maintain than a non-hybrid vehicle. In fact, routine maintenance is actually that of a non-hybrid vehicle-and might even be cheaper in some cases.
Following are a few general guidelines on maintaining a hybrid vehicle. Always consult your vehicle manual for information and maintenance schedules specific to your car.

Oil changes: For non-hybrid cars, a 3,000-mile interval between oil changes has long been the standard. (Even though experts are convinced that new oil blends permit a longer interval between changes.) For hybrid cars, a less frequent interval of 5,000-10,000 miles between oil changes is considered standard. Auto experts might point to oil and oil filters for hybrids that are different from manufacturer recommendations. These filters can cost a bit more, but it's for you to decide which recommendations you choose to follow.

Brakes: Brake pads in a hybrid may get less wear (due to the vehicle's regenerative braking capabilities). So you'll likely to end up in a position to replace them less frequently. Inspect brakes every 15,000 to 20,000 miles.

Batteries: Replace the air filter on the hybrid high voltage battery system every 20,000 to 40,000 miles. If the high voltage battery isn't maintaining 60 to 70 percent of their charge, it's time for you to replace it-and that's about $3,000. (The good news? The warranties on a hybrid's high voltage propulsion motor battery are up to 8 years/100,000 miles and achieving 150,000 miles from an original battery isn't unusual.)

Drive Train: The internal combustion engine, electric motor and transmission are interconnected in a hybrid and may have different maintenance requirements than vehicles you might have previously owned. Only qualified technicians should check or make an effort to service components of the high voltage hybrid drive system and battery.

Financing: Many of the manufacturers are offering special auto financing plans aimed at the hybrid buyer. However, many consumers are looking online for all of their auto loan needs. By researching and gaining your financing before stepping foot in the dealership, you are more in control of the car buying process. What most consumers are starting to realize is the finance department is one if not the largest profit center in most dealerships. Having that financing taken care of up front eliminates the dealer from being able to profit from that portion of the sale.

Look online with the goal of finding the best overall finance option for you.

furniture will fit into the room that you have planned for it.

A few tips to follow when getting into a good basketball workout are:

• Practice every day both in the weight room and on the court. A good rule of thumb is to do an hour on the court and at least 45 minutes in the weight room.
• Always do mobility drills, stretches and foam rolls before beginning your basketball workout.
• Make sure that you practice every day but no more than eight hours in a single week.
• Make sure that you have a support group that includes your coaches, family, and other players.

The boards are then secured to the foam rolls. Soft surf racks are an excellent option if you're traveling and using rental cars. They're also great for when you don't have the money for a more permanent rack solution. Soft racks aren't the most secure rack system out there, so if you're driving around with boards a lot you might want to think about getting a more permanent solution.

The foods you eat also have an effect on how you will recover after each basketball training. Eating whole unprocessed foods can help increase how quick you recover. Stretching and doing foam rolls before and after a basketball workout will help you to recover. A foam roll will help to make sure that you work out all the stiff muscles and adhesions that were caused during your basketball workout.

Why Depends Incontinence Products Are Suitable For All Ages

Depends adult diapers continue to be one of the most popular brands of adult diapers on the market. They are easy to find in a number of stores and over the years they have continued to lead the adult diaper market in innovation by creating incontinence products for men and separate incontinence products for women. Males and females bodies are created differently and we all have different needs when it comes to incontinence. Having the right type of protection is vital in order to prevent leaks and other things from happening with incontinence. It helps to try out some different samples of Depends diapers to find the right ones for your body.

Depends underwear is designed in a number of options, all of which are to help you manage incontinence products without embarrassment. The Depends brand knows that incontinence is a condition that not too many people really want to talk about and it is something that they do not want others to know that they have. This is why they have created incontinence products that are discrete and easy to conceal below your clothing.

Most of the Depends diapers will come with elastic leg bands that are able to fit hips up to 65 inches. This way they can conform to a number of body types and can help to hold in urine. The Depends diapers also come with Velcro straps or they come with a button side to hold them in place. This makes it easy for you to remove the adult diapers and replace them with a new one. Managing your condition is made much easier thanks to the modern day incontinence products offered by the Depends brand.

If you want more of a traditional feeling when you are wearing incontinence products you should consider using the Depends underwear. The Depends underwear is very comfortable and it has adjustable sides which make them easier for you to wear and find a level of comfort that fits your body type. They do come in a one-size-fits-all type so they may not work well for everyone but for the most part they do a good job at helping to collect any excess urine that may leak throughout the day. One of the nice features to the Depends underwear is that they have a wetness indicator so you can see when it is time to change them. For caregivers, this can be quite beneficial as it helps to remind you to check on your loved one or it can help your loved one to remember to change out their incontinence underwear.

Caregivers will benefit greatly from learning about incontinence and what they can do in order to support their loved ones with incontinence and to provide them with the best possible care out there. Again, buying the right incontinence products for women will differ from male incontinence products. If you are caring for your elderly father you should consider purchasing the Depends Guards for men. The Depends Guards for men are nice because they provide a very large strip of absorbent padding. This can be placed inside their briefs, making it easy to collect any excess urine that leaks throughout the day. Place the Depends Guards right in the front of the briefs or underwear to hold them in place and to actually collect urine loss that occurs.

Depends diapers offer a number of varieties to customers and can make managing incontinence much easier. If you are embarrassed about purchasing incontinence supplies in the store you should consider buying them online. Online shopping gives you more options but it really gives you a chance to shop for Depends diapers discretely.

Nissan Leaf safer than Chevy Volt

A total loss, including the full tank of gasoline that now has to be emptied to prevent fires.

Well, that’s no different than a Chevy Volt that has to be depowered after a crash to ensure that a fire doesn’t eventually break out, probably many days or even weeks after the crash.

Not an unreasonable protocol, right? Just like taking the gas out of a guzzler. Still, such depowering is never required following a Nissan Leaf crash.

“The Leaf is designed with battery safety systems that disconnect the high voltage from the vehicle in a severe crash,” claimed the company recently.

Nevertheless, both plug-ins are safe, although it appears that Nissan did make maintaining battery safety following a severe crash a little more safe than GM. Still, the Volt is just as safe as any conventional car.

Toyota Prius best hybrid deal this December

Buy your Prius and use the savings to customize it.
A great time to buy the king of hybrids

The hybrid deals this December aren’t quite as good as they were in November, but there are a few interesting deals if you’re in the market, particularly on the 2011 Toyota Prius.

Surprisingly, however, Honda hybrids are not on the list, and it appears supply issues continue to hamper Honda’s hybrid sales — not to mention another recall.

So far in December, Prius buyers can negotiate Prius prices down 10 percent off sticker.

Hybrid Car Pollution

This article will focus on the carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction and fuel savings realized by 2010 hybrid vehicles.

CO2 reductions are a function of reduced fuel use. Every gallon of gasoline or diesel burned in the internal combustion engine (ICE) produces water, a host of complex hydrocarbon compounds, and about 20 pounds of CO2. So, the less gas you burn, the less CO2 you make. Hybrids get better fuel economy than their pure ICE counterparts, use less gas, and produce less CO2.

Below is a list (pardon the formatting) of hybrids, gas savings in percent, and CO2 savings in percent. The savings are the percent less from the hybrids as compared to their gasoline only powered counterparts. Except the Prius: the Toyota Prius was compared to the Toyota Corolla using the same (1.8L) engine.

The Prius shows the most savings over it's gasoline counterpart. The Prius is rated the most fuel efficient vehicle in the US. It shows the largest reduction in carbon (CO2) output as well. The car emits 42% less CO2 than its gas powered counterpart.

The Chevy Malibu shows the least carbon reduction followed by the BMW X6. The Malibu is a bit of a surprise, but is available in an E85 version that emits less CO2 than the regular gas version.

As you can see, the average CO2 reduction for all of these vehicles is 23%. This is certainly an improvement over standard vehicles. However, this analysis did not take into account the numbers of each vehicle sold. For example, since the Prius is way out in front in terms of sales figures, the 23% average would very likely be skewed upward to around say 30% (just a, estimate) of so total average reduction.

Finally, you need to consider that if people think they are polluting less, they might feel it is OK to drive more. More driving = more gas burned.

Also, as demand for cars grows in China for example, more cars = more pollution. More cars sold is seen as a po

ekg

In order to understand ekg interpretation, it is important to first
understand the cardiac cycle. This is the cycle of how the heart works
to pump blood through it. There are electrical signals and resulting
physical events. This article discusses the physical events - that is,
how blood flows through the pumping heart.

This piece of medical equipment was discovered in 1900s and developed by
Willem Einthoven. It has long been proven to save lives.
Electrocardiogram machines have undergone radical transformation
throughout the course of history. These machines can diagnose abnormal
rhythms of the heart due to damage or electrolyte imbalance. It captures
and records the electrical activity of the heart over time and
interprets it in the EKG paper.

Interpreting a 12-Lead EKG is a matter of using the heart's electrical signals to determine the status of the heart - specifically if there are areas where an infarction has occurred in the myocardium that would prevent it from properly functioning as a blood pump.

Cheap yo yo

However, many times, a beginner will get a YoYo and get zero instruction on how to enjoy it. That is why I have put together this guide on the three basic tricks every new YoYo artist should learn. After mastering these, you will be all set for more challenging ones.

A Chinese yoyo is traditionally made using bamboo. The problem with bamboo is that it tends to break easily so it cannot withstand repeated tricks over time. The modern versions of the toy are usually made with durable plastics that can survive repeated use over the years. The sticks used for the yoyo, however, are still commonly made of wood.

If you're looking for cheap yo yo please feel free to visit yoyoplay.com

When the yo-yo is at the end of the string, grab one of the disks and place your finger over the groove that separates the two discs. Wrap the string once round the yo-yo and over your finger, then on the second and third times round, wrap the string round the yo-yo and underneath the finger, then remove your finger and keep winding up (not too tight). As you reach the top of the string, wrap it a bit tighter. When combined with the powder correctly it will form a very hard, clear plastic. Epoxy will bond with metal as well as wood, and is used in the construction of many different products.

Epoxy resin are one of the most adaptable materials for hobbyists to use. Originally developed for the aerospace industry, today's epoxy resins are extremely user-friendly and easily obtainable. Purchased off the shelf at specialty retail stores, one of the most common examples is West System epoxy. Epoxy resins are purchased in two parts, Part A and Part B. Separating the reactive components allows for very long shelf life, ease of storage, and customized mixing solutions.

Epoxy resin is a solid surface countertop that is chemically resistant. It is the ideal choice for a lab that has stringent requirements regarding chemical resistance and decontamination. Long-term heat resistance to 284 degrees and short-term resistance to 356 degrees make this surface suitable for labs that frequently make use of high temperatures in testing and other procedures. This surface is also very machinable, allowing manufacturers to work it like hardwood to incorporate sinks, fixtures, and drip grooves.

Epoxy resin's excellent electrical insulation and adhesive properties of various materials, as well as the flexibility to other thermosetting plastics, are not available. So it made paint, composite materials, casting materials, adhesives, molding materials and injection molding materials, which have been widely applied in all areas of the national economy.

Installation of epoxy resin flooring is really straight forward but you absolutely must spend the time necessary for completely cleaning the existing concrete surface. Start with a power washer and clean off all the dirt and grime you can. Next, scrub the surface with a detergent and water. Using a push broom works well for this step because you can apply a lot of downward pressure as you are scrubbing. Lastly, use a degreaser to remove any oil spots or other petroleum stains, if you don't do this the epoxy resin will most likely lift up within a few months. When the floor is completely clean, use a propane or electric space heater over night to dry it. Of course, be very careful of fire by not getting the source of ignition any where near flammable objects.

Best boxing day sales

Boxing Day is observed in many countries in the Commonwealth of Nations, with a mainly Christian population. Boxing Day is not an official holiday in the United States, however, the term Boxing Day is used by Americans. Boxing Day in Canada is listed in the Canada Labor Code as a holiday, although not an official holiday, in Quebec or British Columbia.

These days many of the best boxing day sales take place online, with the majority of well known high street stores offering great festive savings on their websites as well as in-store. Many of the online sales open their virtual doors on Christmas Day so if you know what you are doing you can make some incredible savings while most people are still sleeping off their festive turkey! The online shopping revolution has created a new tradition in homes throughout the country with the top web stores receiving unprecedented amounts of visitors and sales on Christmas Day itself.

During the Boxing Day sale the entire shopping center is normally jam packed with people and it is not a fun place to line up at lunch time, so it is a good idea to eat up before you leave home and maybe even take a snack with you. You should also arrive early to ensure that you can find a car parking spot. Items that generally have the biggest discounts are bedding, home goods, kitchen ware, electrical goods, Christmas items and some beauty products. Clothing usually has the biggest discounts at the end of the season and not at the Boxing Day sale. You may find some clothing discounts, but question whether the time spent lining up to try clothes on is worth it.

The Boxing Day sale is now a tradition in the hearts and minds of shoppers. It is not for the faint hearted as there are massive crowds and many competitive shoppers on the prowl. However, if you are up to it, you can find some amazing deals and save yourself a lot of money on discounted items that you need.

Motorhome battery repair

In this article we will be referring to the "chassis" battery and the "coach" battery.
A "chassis" battery starts the engine and runs the automotive systems in either the motor home or the tow vehicle. A "coach" battery powers the lights, furnace, water pump and other 12 volt devices in the coach.

White noise received its name because 'White" was chosen because of the way the color white works with light. A white light is not a color absent of color is it really a combination of all colors. Therefore, white noise is a combination of all frequencies of sound all being played at the same time.

Such a machine produces a sound like rushing air, sort of like a fan makes, but without the air actually being moved, so you won't feel a draft, or feel cold from it. However, this sound does mask many of the noises that disturb our sleep, even the snoring of a partner, so that you can relax more easily. The machine smooths out the background noises, so they will not jolt you awake, and you will be able to get a more restful night of sleep, night after night.

When it comes to white sounds, it is this kind of auto-tuning with the conscious mind that helps the brain use white noise to fall asleep. By blocking out external sounds and stimuli, and then merging into the background of the conscious mind, to so speak, a white noise machine helps eliminate distractions, which leads to the mind resting and relaxing, which then leads to peaceful, healthy sleep.

The construction of the noise machine should be secondary to what you need a noise generator to do but it will make a difference. Whether you need a simple white noise sound machine or a more complex and advanced noise generator, there are plenty of options available to meet your needs.
It is indeed so hard to get the rest that you need in today's world-and without the proper companions to help make sure that you are able to enjoy your slumber, you are most likely to burn out or lack energy in doing your tasks throughout the day.

Buy name tag online

Bearings are used as a mechanical component to transfer the power and to move a certain part, and this is done by utilizing the small frictional force of the bearings, which makes them rotate easily. Bearing products can be further divided into various types according to different classification methods. When depending on friction type, they can be classified into two major groups, namely, sliding bearings and rolling bearings.

Roller bearings can be future divided into many types. When compared to the same-sized sleeve bearings, they are capable of higher rotational speeds. Among all different kinds, the cylindrical roller bearing is quite important. They can normally take the radial load, on the other hand, single row cylindrical roller bearing with ribbed inner ring and ribbed outer ring can take smaller axial load or intermittent axial load.

Skate bearings allow your wheels to roll smoothly on your skate axles. But they need to be cleaned. You can know it is time to clean them when one of the following occurs: they are hot to touch after skating; make a noise when skating; and/or you have some resistance when you spin the wheels. I would not recommend waiting till you have one of these problems before you clean your bearings. If you skate once a week, clean them every two to three months. The more you skate, the more often you need to clean them. If you skate outside, they need to be cleaned more often

When you are considering making an investment it's advisable to discuss all your queries with an experienced bearing engineer from a reliable supplier or manufacturer to ensure that you select the most appropriate bearings for your requirements.

Morgan silver dollar

Did you collect these stuffs on purpose or just for fun? Either way you are considered as numismatist. Among your coin collection what is the rarest? For most coin and banknote collectors the Morgan Silver Dollar is one among the ten most rarest and expensive coin around the world.

Whether you're new to collecting coins or are an avid coin collector, you're probably very familiar with the Morgan silver dollar Coin. The Morgan is probably one of the most popular of the silver dollar coins for antique and coin collectors both amateur or professional collectors. The Morgan was minted for several years spanning from 1878 until 1904 and again for a year in 1921. The name of the coin came from the talent behind the design, which came from George T. Morgan. Morgan designed both sides of this fantastic coin. The Morgan silver dollar consists of a silver content of 0.7734 troy ounces of silver and a fineness of .900 per coin.

The Morgan Silver Dollar is a special coin made in the United States as a result of the Bland-Allison Act of 1878. The late 1850s brought about one of the largest silver strikes to ever be seen in Nevada: the Comstock Lode. This strike devastated the prices of silver everywhere. The Bland-Allison Act was initiated by Congress to get the Treasury Department to buy up large quantities of silver and have it made into coins. The answer was to make them into silver dollars.

The most common Morgan Dollar for this year is from the Philadelphia mint which have no mint mark. Now if it is in exceptional condition, mint state 65 or above it can be worth quite a bit. Look at the high points of the coin like the eagle feathers you want to see a high luster and no signs of wear.

Maintain a Hybrid Car

There are nearly two million registered hybrid vehicles within the U.S. today, and more than 50 percent of respondents to a recent online survey said they're considering a hybrid purchase within the next five years.

With an ability to conserve fuel and reduce carbon emissions, these cars are growing in popularity with both manufacturers and drivers.

Hybrid cars operate with both a traditional gasoline engine but also have electric motor and batteries. With these two systems working together, fuel consumption is reduced allowing some hybrids to travel more than 60 miles per gallon of gas.

Charging systems built into these vehicles capture capture and utilize the energy of the car to to charge the batteries inside the vehicle. This eliminates the need of charging through an electrical outlet at home or through a specialized charging station required with some electric vehicles.

The improved fuel efficiency and internal charging mechanisms makes owning this type of a vehicle a major advantage over traditional gas only vehicles or pure electric vehicles. However, many buyers must still face the reality of a much higher purchase price when considering a hybrid vehicle.

To offset the higher purchase price of hybrid vehicles, governments have started offering incentives such as free parking, free entry to car pool lanes and government sponsored rebates. Some have even offered reduced fees at toll gates.

It is hoped these savings and incentives when combined with increased fuel savings will help entice people to consider hybrid vehicles.

Despite the obvious advantages, there are several disadvantages associated with hybrids.

Hybrid vehicles typically have higher repair costs. This is generally associated with the integration of the charging system, electric engine and combustion engine. This integration typically increases the complexity of the vehicle and provides more opportunity for things to go wrong. When problems arise they tend to take longer to find and repair and the associated parts have been shown to cost more.

Additionally, like other rechargeable batteries, the ones in these vehicles also need to be periodically replaced. This usually occurs in the later years of owning the vehicle but could cost thousands of dollars, depending on the manufacturer.

Some hybrid vehicles have also been shown to have poor fuel economy and less power than traditional gas powered vehicles.

Hybrid vehicles tend to weigh more than traditional gas vehicles. The addition of batteries required for the electric motors, the electric motor components and associated systems add to the weight of the vehicle.

In some terrains and climates these vehicles tend to operate more on gas than on their more effecient electric motors. The increased weight lowers the fuel economy and actually results in drivers paying more to operate these vehicles than it would traditional gas vehicles.

As manufacturers continue to make improvements in hybrid technology and address both maintenance costs and fuel efficiency, hybrid cars will become more common. Manufacturers are using lighter components, more effecient charging systems and batteries with a longer life.
