It is created by shorting the ground cable from the male side of the standard USB cable.

How to use OTG Cable on Android

1. Connecting a USB Flash

Drive With the OTG, you can connect your USB Flash Drive and access then contents with your file manager. Just plug in the OTG Cable to the Android, insert your USB Flash drive or USB Memory Card Reader and “copy and paste” your files. You can as well watch your movies or listen to music files stored in the flash.

2. Charging Another device

If you have a device with a massive >300mAh battery, you can use the OTG cable and connect another phone USB charging cable to power up the other phone. Your device will now serve as a power bank.

3. Use it to Print directly

With the OTG Cable, you can print documents from your Android directly to a non-wireless printer using a USB Cable. TO use this feature, download and install DirectOffice Print App on your Android device.

Set it up and plug in the printer’s USB cable into the OTG USB port, the app will automatically
detect and configure the printer for you to start printing. Works mostly with HP Printers

.

4. Use as a 3G modem

If you have a “no-sim” Wi-Fi only Android device, you can now use this to subscribe to your preffered network provider and browse via a 3G modem. Just plug in the modem to the OTG USB port and it will automatically connect. It works on most USB 3G modems.

5. Connect your Keyboard or Mouse

Just connect your mouse to the OTG Cable and extend your inputs. USB externl keyboard also works seamlessly with the OTG enabled devices and you can configure the options for the attached keyboard on the “Input” options in the Settings Menu.

6. Game Controller

Are you being limited with the onscreen buttons during game actions? This is the perfect feature for you. Just plug in your favorite game controllers and perform those stunts you could never do with the onscreen buttons.

You will need Adb drivers installed on your
computer.
And MTKDroid tools
Download here:
Connect your switched on rooted mtk device to your
computer and open MTKDroid tool, the tool will
recognise your device and

connect to it, if the colour
indicator in the bottom left corner is green, you already
have root shell, and can go on to the next step, if it is
yellow, click on the root button at the bottom, and wait
for the progress bar, if the indicator stays yellow, or
you get an error message, this probably means you do
not have Busybox installed, you can install it from the
google play store. When the indicator turns to green
you have root shell which is necessary for this
operation.

Next click on the tab 'root, backup, recovery ' and
select ' to use boot from phone ' then click on '
recovery and boot ' and shortly after a dialogue box
will appear asking if you want to 'make cwm recovery
automatically' click yes....

The tool will then create the recovery and another
dialogue box will appear asking to 'install created
recovery to phone', click yes .

And finally the tool will ask to reboot into recovery
mode, click yes and the device will reboot into CWM
recovery so you can check the installation was
successful.

The WARNING Before Flashing: Phone flashing is a double-edged sword; it may be useful and
dangerous at the same time. It may brick/damage your phone for good (if not
done carefully), so please DO NOT flash your device casually or just for fun
and follow all the instructions very carefully. I am not responsible if
anything goes wrong anyhow.

However this method
described in that post works only when the phone is in working condition and is
being flashed with original firmware (phone OS software). In this post I will
describe use of Phoenix Service Software to flash the phone with a custom or
original firmware. This flashing is usually done in “Dead Phone USB” mode
(because in this mode the phone remains switched off and get flashed easily
with less probability of errors. Anyway, let’s get started, carefully follow
the steps given hereunder.

Minimum Requirements – you
need to do following things below before continuing with the process:

1. Phoenix
latest version (Download from here)
or search Google for “Phoenix Service Software 2012 full version”), a computer
running Windows XP/Vista/7/8. Before installing Phoenix in PC, you MUST
disable your antivirus and firewall software, otherwise it will not install
correctly and may give “dongle” error

2. Navifirm (Download from here)

3. Phone’s original firmware files
(downloaded via Navifirm or from elsewhere). You can download your phone’s
original OS software files via Navifirm. You can safely avoid downloading the xyz.emmc.fpsx
file (memory card content) which is optional and very large in size (around 1GB
for N8) and thus will take too much time to download.

4. Optional – In case you want to flash the
phone with a custom firmware then you will also need custom firmware files
(usually .uda, core and/or rofs files) – you should know where to get these (or
search Google).

Now before
proceeding with the actual flashing process -

A. If possible, backup your
important phone content (contacts, media files etc) via PC Suite or Nokia
Suite. Preferably format your memory card and mass storage memory (if
applicable) before flashing the phone (or if you don’t want to format the
memory then at least delete everything in E:/sys, E:/private, E:/resource,
F:/sys, F:/resource and F:/private folders by connecting the phone to PC in
“Mass storage mode”). However only memory card can be formatted in case the
phone is dead. Preferably remove memory card during flashing process.

B. Do not connect the phone with PC at this
stage and until the last step of this process when Phoenix will ask to connect it (even then
connect the phone in “Switched Off” condition)

All set up! Now follow the instructions and screenshots
given below

1. Launch Phoenix and go to “Tools/Data Package
Download”

Nokia Flash Screenshot 1

Now Create a folder named RM-xxx (replace
“xxx” with the actual product code of your phone – for example it will
be RM-596 for Nokia N8) in the last folder of the location noted in the
above screenshot. (Plus also create RM-xxx in “C:/Program Files/Nokia/Phoenix/Products”
in case the location in the screenshot is different from it). Now place
(copy/paste) all the downloaded ORIGINAL firmware files (and not the
hacked or custom ones) into the “RM-xxx” folder that you have just
created in both the locations above.

2. Go to File/Open Product in Phoenix

Read The Note: however that if you want to flash the phone with original firmware
files (and not the hacked ones) then do not click on “Options” (as shown
in the above screenshot), instead check/tick the “Dead phone USB
flashing” option and then click on “Refurbish” tab and directly go to
the last screenshot below….
Otherwise if you are flashing with a hacked/custom firmware then follow the above and rest of the screenshots given below…

The Note: however that if you are flashing the phone with the hacked uda.fpsx
file only, then just swap the uda file (and not the rofs and others as
described in the above screenshot, thus only uda file entry will turn
bold). Now proceed to the next step.

Switch Off the phone completely and wait
for the “phone connect” prompt dialog box to appear (when Phoenix asks
to connect the phone with PC). When it appears connect the switched off
phone to PC using data cable. Press mobile’s Power On/Off button for a
few seconds until flashing starts at Phoenix. Wait for the process to
complete, it may take 10-15 minutes. DO NOT touch the phone or data
cable during the process. When the process completes, phone will
restart, now disconnect it from PC and enjoy.

Troubleshooting -

How to avoid “Nokia dongle” error? – Make sure to disable Antivirus(es) software running in your PC before installing and launching Phoenix.

Do not panic if something goes wrong, try following Below:

1. Format the phone with *#7370# code and see if this solves the issue
2. Hard reset the phone by key combinations and see if this solves the issue otherwise
3. Flash the phone again with original firmware files (that you downloaded with Navifirm

you re a traditional PC or laptop user that is now contemplating on
leaving Windows 7 behind for the brand new Windows 8, then I guess
you re probably thinking, Should I really update now?

Along
with the new OS comes a jam-packed full of new features tailored to fit
the needs of the modern era where touch is a selling point.

Windows 8 has that, but the PC or laptop user can still find himself in a familiar and more friendly territory.

Here are some reasons why.:
**For one, there are only 2 versions Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro.
During
7 s reign, we have Home Edition, Professional Edition, Premium this,
Premium that. You get the idea. Now, it s just two. Forget RT since it
won t work on the desktop.

Another reason to update to Windows 8 is that it is faster in everything. It boots up pretty quickly and resumes instantly.
It s faster because the system is leaner. This is actually basic when it comes to operating systems.

8 is faster than 7. 7 is faster than the ill-fated Vista. XP is a lot better than ME (Remember Windows ME?)

And
oh, who would even say that the UI is ugly? I bet none. The visual
design of Windows 8 for the end-user is visually appealing and very
attractive to the eyes. No longer do we have to stare at a monitor where
everything is on the left. No longer do we need the Start Button to
find what we are looking for.

Oh, Windows 8 gives you the option
to revert to the classic desktop style if you really can t stand the
modern UI, just to be safe.

There are plenty of other exciting features. Let s check them out one by one:
A sassy new Internet Explorer 10
Now
this is a no brainer in the corporate world where Windows is king. No
matter what company I am with, at least those that run in a traditional
way, they only want Internet Explorer on their properties. With Internet
Explorer 10, no longer do office employees suffer from the claws of IE7
or 8 (9 is pretty good if you ask me.) IE10 is a modern browser that is
set up to stand against the geek choices Chrome and Firefox. And it s
actually pretty cool. Check out the test drive in the IE10 developer
site.

Robust Security and Painless Recovery
Viruses are always a problem for Windows. I m sure this is where Apple s OS X is king. But Windows 8 will be at that bar.
Windows
Defender will be your first line of defense. If all else fails, there s
system recovery which is now just a push button reset away. Your PC
will be back to a certain date, or even in factory settings in a
matter of minutes without the risk of losing data. How cool is that?

I
swear you all have heard about the modern UI, the touch-based apps. But
that s not going to matter on a traditional PC or laptop that s why I
did not delve into that.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/NigerianBestTechForum

Download and Install Windows 8 NOW!

IN THIS THREAD, YOU WILL SEE HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL WINDOWS 8.

IMPORTANT

if you want to install to a Flash Drive (At Least 4GB). You can follow
the following instructions below to make a bootable flash drive.

1

Connect the USB flash drive to an open port on your computer. Windows will recognize the drive as an external device.

2

Click the Windows "Start" button. Type "run" and press "Enter."
Type "cmd" in the Run box and press "Enter."
Type "diskpart" when the command prompt window opens.
Press "Enter." A new disk part window will open.

3

Type the following commands into the window that just opened:

Type "list disk" and press "Enter." This command will list all the disk drives connected to your computer.
Find the number of the USB drive that you'll be using for your Windows installation and write it down.

Type "select disk #" but replace the "#" symbol with the correct number for your USB drive. Press "Enter."

Type "clean" and press "Enter." Criminal Act but for Educational Use only and How to Stop it so you
won't Fall a Victim.. Always Encryt and Password your Files on any USB
Device.
USBdumper runs silently as a background process once
started and copies the complete content of every connected usb device
to the system without the knowledge of the user. It creates a directory
with the current date and begins the background copying process. The
user has no indication that the files stored on the USB device are
copied from the USB. The only indication to find out is to find the
process listed in the Windows Task Manager or a third party process
manager, or to accidentally stumble upon the directory the files are
copied to.

Just imagine this tool running on a public computer with no access to
the task manager or a software like process explorer. You would not
know that the files are copied. What could you do to protect against
this program? You could encrypt your data, if you use a tool like true
crypt for example. Even if the files are copied they are useless unless
the attacker knows your passphrase.
The files are automatically stored in the directory the program is
started in. Depending on the size of the drives that get connected to
the PC, enough storage space needs to be available on the drive the
program is executed from.
If you've been Eyeing Some files on a Particular USB Device, Just
Plug it to your PC even in Front of the Owner and your Laptop vs
USBdumper will get the Job Done for you.
Want USBdumper? Download Here or Here
Note:- [Ignore the Warning if your Anti-Virus detect it as a Malware, Its 100% Safe].
