The Trust started this Scholarship Scheme in 1999.

Few lines About Trust:

Sankshema is a Charitable Trust was registered in 1990 at Karimnagar District of Andhra Pradesh in INDIA. Initial thrust areas were Health Care focused on and Higher Education by providing scholarship to the economically deprived rural students to progress in their pursuit of higher education. As a result of initial activity SUSHRUTA Cancer Hospital was established in 1992 and now is a 40 bed hospital providing basic cancer care to the rural areas of North Telangana District of Andhra Pradesh. The Sankshema Scholarship scheme was started in 1999 with 14 students and now has reached its targeted goal of more than 300 students.

How To Apply?:
There is no online Procedure for Sankeshama Scholarships. Simply write a letter to the trust describing your family financial status, your merit and mention need of the scholarship.
Selection Procedure: Selection process based on Interview, after review of Application call letter send to the candidate for Interview.Interview conducted at KareemNagar trust office. The selected candidate inform by a letter to attend meeting to receive CHEQUE at Hyderabad.

2. This Scholarship will not be applicable to the students of any residential or social welfare Schools with attached hostels, corporate schools and private unaided schools.

3. The total no. of scholarships to be sanctioned per academic year is limited to 1000 (one thousand) only with a progressive total of scholarships from 2007-2008 starting with Inter to P.G.Level as detailed below…

a) If the above scholarship recipient students secure 85% of marks in Intermediate Education, they will be given the said scholarship for their Degree Education also.

b) If the above Degree students of TTD scholarship recipients secure 70% of marks in Science subjects and 60 % of marks in arts groups and Professional courses, they will continue to receive the above scholarship for Post Graduate degree education including the professional courses till their completion of P.G. Degree education.

4. This scheme is applicable to the real meritorious students who are not receiving any scholarship of Government / private / other service organization or any other financial sources.

5. The sanction of scholarships after 1^st quarter of the academic year, may be permitted strictly in accordance with the general condition of 70% of attendance compulsory as in the case of Government.

Institute Scholarships for Newly Admitted Students in the Integrated First Degree Programmes

I. The award of scholarships will be decided at the end of First Semester and will be based on the
performance of students in the First Semester.

II. The types of scholarships are as follows:
(i) Merit Scholarships: These will cover 80% reimbursement of semester fees for 1% students and 40%
of semester fees for 2% students.
(ii) Merit-cum-Need Scholarships: These will cover 80% reimbursement of semester fees for 3%
students; 40% of semester fees for 6% students and 25% of semester fees for 12% students.

III. There is no waiver of admission fee.

IV No application is necessary for Merit Scholarships.

V. Procedure for applying for Merit-cum-Need Scholarships for First Semester
(i) The application should be submitted on-line
(ii) Income certificate(s) of parent(s)/guardian must be submitted before the deadline, along with the
details of the applicant on the cover sheet available at SWD office Window No.1. The certificate
should clearly indicate the gross income. Income certificates of both parents, if both are employed,
should be submitted.
Types of certificates that are accepted :
a)If parent(s)/guardian are salaried persons, salary slip or salary certificate from the employer
Copy of Form 16, clearly showing
the gross income can also be submitted.
b) All others should submit an income certificate from Tahsildar / Mandal Revenue Officer or an
affidavit on stamped paper countersigned by a First Class Magistrate/Notary indicating gross income
c)Pensioners should submit a statement from bank/post office from where pension is drawn.

VI. The eligibility criteria for award of scholarships are as follows:
(i) For Merit-cum-Need Scholarships, the gross annual income of parent(s)/guardian from all sources
should be less than the maximum prescribed by the Scholarships Committee. Prescribed maximum
limit for the previous academic year was Rs. 5,00,000/- p.a.
(ii) The scholarships are awarded to students based on CGPA. However, SGPA for the previous
semester may also be taken into consideration while deciding about the scholarships.
(iii) No NC report in the first semester.
(iv) No case of indiscipline.
(v) If a student brings scholarship from any outside agency, the assistance would be limited to the
difference between the two values of financial assistance.

Scholarship & Fees

For Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. programmes, the academic year starts from August 1, every year. The academic year for M.Sc. programme begins from July 1, every year.
Ph.D. Students receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 16,000/- (enhanced to Rs 18,000/- after registration) and an annual contingency grant of Rs 20,000/-, in addition to a tuition grant covering the annual fees. The annual fee is Rs 4000/-.

Integrated Ph.D. (Biology/Mathematics) Students receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 16,000/- (enhanced to Rs 18,000/- from third year onwards, subject to passing the Comprehensive Exam/registration), in addition to a tuition grant covering the annual fees.

M.Sc. (Biology) Students receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 12,000/- and the annual fee is Rs 2000/-.

The Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi has introduced a new “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students” from the financial year 2008-09.

Applications are invited for the above scholarships for the current year 2011-12 (Fresh) from the 1st year bachelor degree course students who are provisionally selected by this office, based on IPE, March 2011 results and who fulfill the following eligibility conditions.

The Eligibility conditions:
1) Minimum of above 80th percentile of successful candidates in relevant stream in Class 12 (10 +2) in IPE, March 2011
2) Their Parental Income should not exceed 4.5 Lakh p.a.
3) They should be pursuing regular / Professional Bachelor Degree Courses in recognized educational Institutions in the current year 2011-12.
4) They should not avail any other Scholarships. The Govt. of India has allotted 6097 scholarships to A.P. As per the guidelines, 2½ times of the above number of the candidates are provisionally selected.

The details of the scheme are as below:
1.INTRODUCTION :
‘Prime Ministers’ Scholarship Scheme was announced by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in his address to the nation from the Red Fort on 15 th August, 2005. It was introduced to encourage higher technical and professional education, viz. Medical, Engineering, IT and other technical subjects among the wards of windows and ex-servicemen of Armed Forces from the Academic Year 2006-07.
2. COURSES ELIGIBLE FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP :
First professional degree programme in engineering, medicine dental, veterinary, MBA, MCA etc. duly recognized by the respective government regulatory bodies, such as All India Council for Technical Education, Medical Council of India, UGC, etc.
Note: The scholarship is authorized for B.Ed Courses for 2 years only.
3. ELIGIBILITY:
The scheme will be open for widows and unmarried wards of Ex-RPF personnel (upto the rank of Inspectors). However, marriage/remarriage at a subsequent date would not disqualify the Awardees.
4. AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP :
(a) The amount of scholarship would be as follows :

Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme

The Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme aims at providing facilities to outstanding young children to develop their talents in various artistic fields. Children in the age group of 10 to 14 years studying either in recognized schools or belonging to families practicing traditional art forms are eligible for the scholarship.

The Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) provides 500 new scholarships each year, out of which minimum 5 seats each are reserved for all the states and at least 3 each for all the Union Territories. Minimum 10 scholarships are reserved for the state of Jammu and Kashmir also. While awarding scholarships preferences are given to children of families practicing traditional art forms. Special emphasis is given to rare arts and crafts which are becoming extinct..

The scholarship awarded under the Scheme is initially for two years and is renewable after every two years till the completion of the first University degree stage of education or up to the age of 20 years whichever is earlier subject to the awardees maintaining good progress.

Basis of Selection:

Children in the age group of 10-14 years studying either in recognized schools or belonging to families practicing traditional, performing and other arts are chosen for the scholarships.
The outstanding children in various cultural fields such as traditional forms of music, dance, drama as well as painting, sculpture and crafts are selected for the award of scholarships. Special emphasis is given to rare art forms, which are in the process of becoming extinct
Children whose date of birth is in between 01.07.1998 and 30.06.2002 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply for the award of scholarships for the year 2012-13.
Minimum four years' training in the field of art form in which scholarship is being applied, either with a guru or in an institution is essential.
Application forms issued in previous years, incomplete applications and those without relevant information and documents/specimens/photographs regarding training will not be considered.
A scholarship holder shall not receive any other cultural scholarship/stipend in case he/ she is selected for CTSS Scheme,without the prior approval of the CCRT.

A. Scholarship Scheme (Trust Fund) :-
1.Under this scheme, 1000 Scholarships will be awarded to eligible students with disabilities for degree and post graduate level professional and technical courses from recognized institutions in India.
2.Applicants may apply any time in academic year for scholarship under this scheme. Scholarships will be awarded on quarterly basis for the applications received in preceding quarter. Under this scheme, an advance copy of application should also be submitted online by the candidate.
3.Reimbursement of Non-Refundable fees restricted to the limit of fee of similar courses in Government/Government –aided institutions. Maintenance allowance will be paid to the students for 10months @ Rs.2500/ per month for Professional Graduate Courses and Rs.3000/- per month for Professional PostGraduate Courses in one academic year.
4.Books/Stationery allowance will be paid to students pursuing Professional Graduate Courses @Rs.6,000/ per annum and Rs.10,000/- per annum for pursuing Professional Post-Graduate Courses.
5.Visual and hearing differently-abled students in addition will be provided financial assistance for purchase of aids & appliances.
6.Monthly income of the beneficiary /parent or guardian should not be more than Rs.25,000/- (Rs. 3.00 Lakh p.a.) from all sources. Family income includes income of parent/guardian.

B. Scholarship Scheme (National Fund):-
1.Under this scheme, 500 National Scholarships will be awarded to eligible students with disabilities for pursuing higher academic/professional or technical qualification.
2.Applicants has to apply for scholarship before 30-9-2011 and scholarship shall be awarded once in a Academic year under this scheme.
3.Scholarship of Rs.1000/-p.m. for hostellers and Rs.700/-p.m. for day scholars studying in professional courses at graduation and above level, and Rs.700/-p.m. for hostellers and Rs.400/-p.m. for day scholars pursuing Diploma/Certificate level professional courses. Course fee reimbursed upto ceiling of Rs.10,000/- per year.
4.Financial assistance can be given for computer with editing software for blind/deaf graduate and postgraduate students pursuing professional courses and for support access software for cerebral palsy students.
5.Monthly income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian should not be more than Rs.15,000/ - (Rs. 1.80 Lakh p.a.) from all sources. Family income includes income of parent/guardian.

Applications are invited for twenty “Rajat Jayanti Vigyan Sancharak Fellowships” instituted by National Council for Science and Technology Communication, Department of Science & Technology.
The fellowship recognizes Science Communicators with uniformly brilliant academic record and supports innovative work in selected scientific institutions/universities/S&T based voluntary organizations under the guidance of a senior science communicator. These are full time fellowships and cannot be taken up with any other assignment.

The candidates below 35 years on 31.12.2011 (relaxable by 5 years for Women candidates) must possess a graduation or higher degree in science, engineering, medical science, agriculture, information technology, mass communication, etc. from a recognized university.

The duration of the fellowship will be for one year and will comprise a Stipend of Rs.12,000/- per month (Rs.16,000/- in case of a Ph.D. holders), an annual contingency of Rs.30,000/- and travel grant of Rs.15,000/-. Mentors will receive an Honorarium of Rs.20,000/- in a year.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for `Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE)’, a component of INSPIRE. Total of 10,000 scholarships are available annually under SHE starting April 2008. The scholarships are limited only to the candidates studying courses in natural/ basic sciences at B.Sc., B.Sc (Hons), integrated M.Sc./MS programs in any one of the recognized institutions in India. The scheme in its current format does not include courses in engineering, medicine, technology and other professional / applied science courses.

Value & Type of Support
Eligible candidates will receive annually scholarship @ total value Rs.80,000 per candidate. The cash value payable to the SHE scholarship holder is Rs.60,000 per annum along with a summer time attachment fee of Rs.20,000 will be paid to the mentoring institution for undertaking summer time project

Eligibility Criteria
The selection of candidates will be based on a) performance in Board Examinations within the cutoff threshold (of top 1%) for each State or Central Board Examination Class XII level as listed in Table 1 and/or b) performance in any of the specified Competitive Examinations within stipulated cut off ranks (Table 2) and recipient of various fellowships and medals (Table 3). Student who passed Class XII Board Examination in 2011 and are in receipt of Eligibility Certificate/ Note issued by the respective Board are also eligible to apply. The eligible candidate must be already enrolled into degree level education in natural / basic sciences in any recognized College or University in India. ELIGIBILITY:
Students belonging to SC/ST/Physically Challenged categories (Visually Handicapped/ Hearing Handicapped/ Orthopaedically Handicapped) and pursuing 4 years full time degree course in Engineering in the disciplines of Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics / Telecommunication from a college/university/ institute recognized by the Govt. of India and should be in the 3rd Year in the session 2011-2012. Those who have successfully completed the 1st year degree course in 2010 & 2nd year in 2011 in the first attempt – only need apply. They should not be receiving any financial aid or assistance from any source.

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT:
The scholarship is admissible from the second year of study till the final year subject to the condition that the student meets the minimum qualifying criterion for success in each year. The amount of scholarship is Rs.1500/- P.M. Total 35 scholarships will be granted (20 SC, 10 ST and 05 PC).

Purpose -

A term loan granted to Indian Nationals for pursuing higher education in India or abroad where admission has been secured.

Eligibility –

Any Indian Citizen with 40% or more disability.

Type of Loan - Term Loan

Eligible Courses

All courses having employment prospects are eligible.

Graduation courses/ Post graduation courses/ Professional courses
Other courses approved by UGC/Government/AICTE etc.

Expenses considered for loan

Fees payable to college/school/hostel
Examination/Library/Laboratory fees
Purchase of Books/Equipment/Instruments/Uniforms
Caution Deposit/Building Fund/Refundable Deposit (maximum 10% tution fees for the entire course)
Travel Expenses/Passage money for studies abroad
Purchase of computers considered necessary for completion of course
Cost of a Two-wheeler upto Rs. 50,000/-

Any other expenses required to complete the course like study tours, project work, Assistive devices etc.

Amount of Loan

Need based finance subject to the repaying capacity of the parents/students with the following ceilings –

i) Studies in India - Maximum Rs. 10.00 lacs

ii) Studies Abroad - Maximum Rs. 20.00 lacs

Promoter’s Contribution -

i) Upto Rs. 4.0 lakh - Nil

ii) Above Rs. 4.0 lakh - 5%

for courses in India

iii) Above Rs. 4.0 lakh for - 15%

courses abroad.

Rate of Interest - 4% p.a.

A rebate of 0.5% on interest to women beneficiaries.

Repayment of Loan -

i) The loan to be repaid within 7 years after commencement of repayment.

ii) The repayment as per repayment schedule would commence one year after completion of course or 6 months after securing a job, whichever is earlier.

iii) Interest on term loan would be charged from the date of disbursement of loan from NHFDC (grace period as per lending policy is permissible).

iv) In the case of loan extended/to be extended by the Corporation under the scheme, simple interest shall be charged on the loan amount at the prescribed/applicable rate during the moratorium period and that the unpaid interests, if any, shall be compounded and charged at the commencement of repayment of loan at par with term loan.

The manner of charging interest as specified above shall also be made applicable to loans already sanctioned/released under the scheme notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the sanction letter or the scheme as the case may be.

v) The beneficiary will submit the copy of marks-sheet after every term/semester to the SCA for further submission to NHFDC.

Procedure for Obtaining Loan -

Application in the prescribed format to be submitted to the State Channelising Agency for sanction of loan as per the lending policy of National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation.
