I am now signed to a new modeling agency, which I'm happy to start working with :)

I've been spring-cleaning like crazy so look out for any Vintage + one-off pieces I'm selling off on eBay here, And...

Before Jess jet off to the stunning NZ, we shot a series of looks for the Summer featuring my favourite maxi dresses which is coming real soon x

Let me just say... This weather! This ever-changing weather has got me sick for a minute or two, or three... but I'm back even stronger with plenty of newness coming your way!

(and also a new hair colour which I'm loving for the warm Summer ahead)

Roll necks have not always been my thing as it sometimes looks like I'm drowning in material but I was really into it this Winter & all the new shapes that designers have been bringing out. Hope it lasts a few more seasons...

Boho Australia True Love Tunic | Swarovski necklace

That last warmth on my skin before the sun goes down is my absolute favourite. The shadows are long, the sun is a warm glow rather than a harsh spotlight, and it makes my skin glow...

It feels like home to be back shooting with Jess on the regular, featuring bestselling styles for brands such as Boho Australia + Hearts are Free.

A bit daring to wear this on a cold Sydney day-shows how desperate I am for Spring to peep out of the clouds!

So my two month hiatus is finally over-and let me tell you-between starting a new job, uni & having a baby it's been quite a struggle to get back into blogging!

I'm currently loving this step-by-step skin perfecting system brought together with liquid gold.

The collection comes with its own routine, and sizes that are perfect for avid travellers.
Thanks to Alpha-H's liquid gold collection my skin is so much softer, smooth & dewy; hoping one day that it will reflect the sun like liquid gold...

Maroubra Beach, Sydney

Last week I had the pleasure of shooting with (yet again) Jysla Kay. This time was different as we both hadn't attended a photo-shoot since I was five months pregnant mid last year! Both feeling a bit rusty in our fields, we headed down to Maroubra Beach & prepared to warm up to the main outfit. Our doubts were soon blown away with what was one of the most breeziest, fun & gorgeous photo-shoots I've ever done!

Taken off Instagram, these are just some unedited snapshots... the real shots will be coming soon.

Ah, the beach makes everything shine...

Dress, heels & belt from Forever New

It's always a tradition of mine to get a coffee from the nearest café before or after Jysla & I shoot. This time we found a quaint little café before we starting shooting that wasn't even open. Yet I ran across the road, ordered my coffee from elsewhere & sat down here to drink it. Little did I know that a worker was inside mopping the floors & wondering what the heck I was doing there!

I'd also like to note that I don't usually order coffee in such a formal dress but I first wore this dress last year when I signed my marital papers & it holds a place close to my heart.

Every girl should own a LWD (little white dress) & a lace one with an open back is perfect for Summer, even if you are just sitting at a random place drinking coffee... x

My favourite thing to do first thing in the morning is to make myself a cup of coffee & read other peoples blogs + inspirations. What better idea than to make an online magazine issue by bloggers showing their favourite places, eats, fashion & beauty? That's exactly what the #Issue team has done with their newly released eMagazine issue 'The Great Escape'.

I first worked with the #Issue team late last year in Bondi where Jysla styled me for her feature 'A Holiday in Style'. I instantly fell in love with the crisp white pieces & the laid-back/bohemian aesthetic. She has such an eye for simple, clean lines & unique silhouettes.

I will be breaking down the outfits + the pieces I'm wearing in later posts & also some BTS (behind the scenes) shenanigans.

In the meantime, check out the full issue here :)

Dotti t-shirt (similar here) | Witchery skirt (similar here) | Swarovski earrings | Lipstik heels

I know I say this ALL THE TIME but I really do apologise for being M.I.A lately! I am seriously back with a vengeance! There are so many posts to catch up on & possibly an online store in the works. It has been extremely busy in the last few months & I let it get the best of me but, such is life.

Two & a half months ago I had a gorgeous (slightly bias opinion) baby boy weighing in at 3.3kgs & 50cm long. He is the joy of my life & together we learn so much each day! With that said, talks of an online store will include apparel & knick knacks for babies, kids & mothers as well as vintage + new clothing for women. I'm also going to be featuring new brands created by mothers/homemade businesses/up & coming designers.

On to this ~~maternity~~ outfit (believe it or not I was pregnant here), I must have worn this shirt countless times before wearing it for this shoot! It is a true basic in my wardrobe. And although I have never been one to wear pleather, I have found this skirt to be wonderfully pleated; another twist on a basic in my wardrobe.

BACK TO BASICS

noreply@blogger.com (Shara Gomez) — Wed, 13 Aug 2014 13:02:00 +0000

It seems it has been a while since I've blogged & by the pieces I'm wearing in this sneak peek photo, I'd say it's been quite a few months!

I'm excited to announce that we are expecting a baby boy! (or so we've been told)

Currently my belly has swollen to such a size that makes me look like I'm hiding a large basketball underneath my shirt-hence the shortage of outfit posts + posts AT ALL for that matter... But I do have quite a lot of posts backlogged, so please bear with the catch up!

I've also learnt a few new editing tricks (thanks to miss Jysla) & changing a few things around to make this blog appear more basic...

Wish restraint shirt dress (including belt) | Dotti blazer | Windsor Smith heels | Sportsgirl bag (similar here) | Lovisa necklace

I'm not usually one to pick bright colours-if given a choice I would pick black (safe) or pastels (subtle) but I went out of my comfort zone & chose this almost neon orange shirt dress from Wish for their style challenge. I wore it open to break up the colour with black & white; I've even worn the slip underneath as a separate dress with flats.

Even though bright colours are always associated with Summer... my conclusion is that brights are still in for Winter.

LACE ME UP

noreply@blogger.com (Shara Gomez) — Wed, 23 Apr 2014 12:45:00 +0000

The lace up shoe is definitely what I would pick to finish off that conventional outfit, so that it doesn't look quite so uh… conventional. Also, those flat options with a pair of denim cut-offs, plain v-neck tee & a long gold chain? Making my mouth drool.

Autumn doesn't necessarily mean that it always gets colder for us in Sydney-except maybe the nights-so I always keep a cardigan on hand just in case. This may not be what many other people wear in months leading to the cooler seasons but I like to think it represents the colours; warm mustard yellows & deep wine lips are what I love best about this season… Not to mention the falling Jacaranda flowers.

Sharing our engagement shoot we shot towards the end of last year at La Perouse. Between other couples shooting (seemed to be a popular place for wedding photos), children playing & groups of fishermen, we shot at four different locations around the area. Seeing how the photos turned out so perfectly, gives me hope that everything will turn out just as great for our future together.

Hello loves! It's been a long time! I honestly didn't mean to not post for this long but between going overseas, planning & having my wedding, Christmas & New Years… There was no time! I promise never to leave you again :)

First of all… Happy New Year! (even though we're already into the second month) I'm excited to be bringing on this year with more + more posts & many more outfits.

This outfit-or more like beach attire was taken while I was holidaying in Port Macquarie. I was slightly ~~tanned~~ sunburnt which helped the white + crochet details to pop with the warm sunshine glowing on my skin.

Forever New Noelle dress | Peeptoe Heels | Jennifer Zeuner necklace

This is not the typical dress that I would usually be drawn to or pick up off the racks… I'm usually afraid of a dress to short, to boxy & I never though this shade of baby blue would suit me. But when it came down to trying it on, it was perfect! And I have my fiancé to thank for introducing me to shades of baby blue…
