Scoot announces Honolulu to Osaka from $80 each way and Singapore from $200 each way!

Asian budget carrier Scoot announced its first-ever route to the United States last month.

The airline is the low cost carrier of Singapore Airlines. They will begin flying from Honolulu on December 19, 2017. Scoot will fly non-stop from Honolulu to Osaka/Kansai, Japan, with continuing service to its main hub in Singapore. Passengers traveling between Honolulu and Singapore will have a stopover in Osaka of about 70 minutes.

Introductory fares on the new route were on sale for as little as $80 one way to Osaka and $200 to Singapore if travel is between December 19 and December 25, 2017, though regular fares will be higher. For travel between January 1, 2018 thru May 31, 2018, Scoot will offer a promotional fare of $150 one way to Osaka and $250 to Singapore.

Scoot's Honolulu-Osaka-Singapore service will operate four times a week on Boeing 787 dreamliner aircraft.

Delta new routes to Hawaii - Salt Lake City to Maui and Seattle to Lihue

Delta has been slowly expanding their services to Hawaii and with these two new routes it will complement their existing services very well. Delta will now operate between Salt Lake City and Kahului with their 767 aircraft which will feature their lie-flat seats in the First Class cabin. Delta will also begin service between Seattle and Lihue utilizing their 757 aircraft . Both routes begin on December 21, 2017.

The new Seattle to Lihue flight will compete directly with Alaska Air's red-eye Seattle flight which should see competitive fares on the route. The new Salt Lake City flight from Maui will offer an additional option to the already very busy Honolulu to Salt Lake City route.

Virgin America Announces Non-Stop Service Between San Francisco and Kona

Virgin America has been operating between SFO and both Honolulu and Maui successfully for the last year. Today they announced new non-stop services between SFO and Kona, Hawaii beginning on December 14, 2017. This new service will also allow one-stop connections to Kona from Austin, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego, Seattle, New York and Fort Lauderdale.

Virgin has recently been acquired by Alaska Airline and this route expansion is the largest in Alaska Air history. We predict that between Alaska Air and Virgin we will continue to see more route expansion to Hawaii in the near future.

Asian budget carrier AirAsia X announced its first-ever route to the United States today.

The airline is the long-haul unit of Malaysian low-cost carrier AirAsia. They will begin flying from Honolulu on June 28, 2017. AirAsia X will fly non-stop from Honolulu to Osaka/Kansai, Japan, with continuing service to its main hub in Kuala Lumpur. Passengers traveling between Honolulu and Kuala Lumpur will have a stopover in Osaka of about two hours.

Introductory fares on the new route were on sale for as little as $99 one way to Japan and $149 to Malaysia, though regular fares will be higher.

AirAsia X’s Honolulu-Osaka-Kuala Lumpur service will operate four times a week on 377-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The aircraft include 12 lie-flat seats and 365 economy seats. Fares for the flatbed seats begin at $699 one way during the introductory period.

After years of specuulation Virgin America will begin service to Hawaii begining November 2, 2015. Virgin will operate from both Honolulu and Maui to San Francisco. You can expect in the next few days a fare sale as Virgin officially announces their new Hawaii routes.

Air Canada rouge to begin service to Hawaii

Air Canada rouge announced today new non-stop service between Honolulu and Toronto, Canada beginning November 26, 2014. This new service will operate twice weekly. To promote the new route, Air Canada rouge is offering savings of 20 per cent on bookings made by June 10, 2014 for travel until April 30, 2015 using the promotion code "aloharouge."

In addition, Air Canada announced that existing year-round non-stop service from Vancouver to Honolulu and Maui, currently operated by Air Canada, will be converted to daily Air Canada rouge Boeing 767-300 ER service effective November 21 and December 1, 2014.

These new announcements will effectively put an end to Air Canada's mainline service to Hawaii.

Allegiant Air Announces Flights Between Honolulu and Los Angeles from $96 Each Way!

Allegiant Air known for flying into secondary markets has made a surprised announcement this morning. Beginning October 30, 2013 they will offer a twice weekly flight between Honolulu and Los Angeles with fares starting at $95.99 each way. Honolulu to Los Angeles is the most popular domestic route (in terms of passengers carried) that is currently served by airlines. Allegiant has been known for there on-time performance issues however if you have flexible travel plans this is a great deal. We will see if this will cause other carriers to offer lower fares to LAX. Availability of this fare is excellent however tickets must be purchased prior to July 17, 2013 for travel to be completed by February 13, 2014.

Note: In order to get the $95.99 tickets must be purchased using a debit card. If a credit card is used the ticket price is $99.99 which is still a great deal.

Beginning July 9, subject to government approval, flight HA 807 to Taipei will depart Honolulu International Airport at 1:55 a.m. every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Beginning July 10, flight HA 808 to Honolulu will depart Taipei International Airport at 8:55 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Today Hawaiian Airlines has once again announced another surprising new route to their recent route announcements. Beginning July, 2013 they will offer non-stop flights between Honolulu and Taipei, Taiwan three times a week utilizing their 294 seat Airbus A330-200. This flight is in response to the recent announcement that the U.S. said that it would include Taiwan into the Visa waiver program, that permits visa free travel to the U.S. They have yet to announce any information about fares. However don't be surprised if they offer some great introductory fares. Taiwan will mark Hawaiian's 7th Asian destination and their 11th international destination. Rarely do we post deals that is valid only for one direction, however in this case since this deal will save you over $600 this is a deal worth talking about!

Hawaiian Airlines is offering a one way only fare from Honolulu to Brisbane for only $250 plus tax. This fare is valid only on HA 443 on December 4 and December 25, 2012. We have checked multiple other dates and the lowest available fare is $829!

Now you are probably thinking how to get back to Honolulu. You can forget about returning on Hawaiian as the lowest return fare is $1138. My suggestion would be to return on Jetstar Airways as they have return flights as low as $571 to Honolulu.

It was exactly two weeks ago that Allegiant Air announced their 9th and 10th new route to Hawaii. Today they are back at it again with route number 11! Fares start at $199 each way! They announced this new route and fare sale at 8:00 pm HST (7/31) and you must book by 12:00 midnight HST (7/31). Service begins December 15, 2012

Hawaiian Airlines Announces Non-Stop Service To Auckland, New Zealand!

Today Hawaiian Airlines has once again announced another suprising new route to their recent route announcements. Beginning March 13, 2013 they will offer non-stop flights between Honolulu and Auckland, New Zealand three times a week. This flight will compete with Air New Zealands non-stops flights from Honolulu.
They have yet to announce any information about fares. However don't be surprised if they offer some great introductory fares. As always we will be the first to update you of any fare specials they may have.
