If you have been searching for me, Ive been kicked off facebook! Due to their photo policy, I was reported for photos on my photography page with newborns naked, & some of my bitty clients without shirts on or their little butts showing, not to mention the countless personal photos someone reported! While, I think it is ridiculous; I have gone round & round with them & it comes down to its just their policy.

One thing I love is pregnant bellies & capturing that super exciting time for my parents! Nothing to me is more beautiful than a glowing pregnant woman & bright eyed smiling from ear to ear daddys!
I had my birth photographed & when I was asked to do my first at the begining of the year; I was so honored. Probally my favorite thing ever to shoot. So amazing to be apart of that & capture it for my clients!

2011- a personal post

This is something new for me getting personal on this blog; which is something that will change this year but I feel like it is needed & I need to give all of my clients a explanation.

My husband & I have struggled with infertility & miscarriages for the past about 3 years; we lost 2 babies before giving birth to our daughter whom you all see frequently on my facebook page! She is such a miracle & we worked so hard for her. On top of all this pregnancy is extremely hard on my body; my body tries to get rid of this precious miracles & i get meds to keep them & I get very very sick in turn, my body is in a complete war for a few months.

So, At the beginning of the year we were told our chances of another child were slim to none,despite 2 drs advisement not to try they said if we wanted to, we needed to become pregnant by August;with fear of giving birth at 14to24 weeks, for a infertile any dead line to get pregnant by is scaryMy Husband & I couldnt see ourselves with just one child, & after several cycles of fertility drugs August came & went. We were absolutely devestated! But on September 11th my birthday we found out we were expecting! Which if you are a client, was contacting me about a session, had a session or just a follower on Facebook noticed I kinda dropped off the face of the earth. I became SO sick, I was in & out of the hospital; unable to barely take care of my child let alone my buisness. At one point the dr was postive we were losing our precious baby; & I was on strict orders to stay in bed, but I had a wedding that day & spent 12 hours on my feet. No one knew I was pregnant up until very recently, so there is was no way I could tell my beautiful bride what I was going thru on her most special day.
I know MANY of you were upset/frustrated with your wait times or with trying to contact me over the course of the last several months; but that in its self should show how much all my clients mean to me. I work so hard for each & everyone of you I hope you all realize that once you do get your images.

This year is going to be so much different then last, on top of bringing in a new baby girl come spring I will obvisouly be taking on less work load. I was doing 3-4 sessions a week on top of weddings last year; even while I was increbibly sick. I will be hiring a nanny to be able to devote more time to my work. But again, will be taking on incredibly less sessions this year. I am also will only be taking maybe about 3 weddings this year.

But I wanted to give a this apology/explanation to all of you & let everyone know I am now booking for 2012! With me taking on such little amount of sessions it is honestly never too early to book, I already have people on my calendar just from last year; so if you are wanting a session for spring/summer or even fall dont hesitate!

I hope you all understand & I also hope you like the somewhat more personal post; because there are many more to come! I want you all to hire me not only because of my work but because of ME, there is nothing worse than getting to you session/wedding & just not clicking with your photographer. You want to be yourself & be YOU. So hopefully I can achieve that with doing more personal posts!

Newborn photography has more than blown up this past year! It was a little intimdating a first, lots of safety precautions, practice and paitence but they have be come my favorite sessions over the course of 2011! Here is the first part of my favs of 2011 series! It has been so fun to go thru them all; my style changed & I feel like I finally got "my style" I see my growth as a photographer grow with each session!

I have had SO much fun with my families tin 2011 So many new faces to enter the Flash Photography family, & some old! There was so many families that are now my friends, dear friends at that! Each with their own personalities, quirks & cuteness; each different but all dear to my heart!

Oh this beautiful family! Ashlee & I used to really good friends back in the day; & stop talking for one teenage girl reason or another! Now we are grown up with families of our own, & my heart smiles so big with overwhelming happiness for her & Jayce; they have a adorable perfect son Maddox {whom you all will be seeing soon for a milestone session} I can't thank Jayce & Ashlee enough for asking me to photograph their family for their first family photos!

This past weekend I had the absoute honor of photographing Mr & Mrs Glasers Wedding. They hold a special place in my heart & I honestly can now Laura a good friend! I wanted to do a little something special for them, I searched high & low for a student photographer or someone with a qualified camera & flash but had no luck; so I wish I could have gotten more but oh well! Meet Laney! I actually was babysitting her, & will continue to again when she started school this fall! When I talk about being crazy busy because I babysit, do this & my family; this is one of the girls that I watch! She is SUCH a joy, & always has me laughing! She is a firecracker! Her momma wants to get her into modeling & wanted me to take a few to get her started! She is way beyond gorgeous & I loved the way ALL of these turned out!

Well this session was in a long time coming! The first session was canceled cause of rain,then we thought we going to have to again, but luckily the weather cleared up JUST in time! I have had this watermelon idea in my head for well ever; & wanted to use it on my daughter but she just isnt old enough! I mentioned it to mom & she said she was all for whatever ideas I had {my favorite kind of mommas} They seriously turned out PERFECT! So freakin cute! Speaking of freakin cute, Raylin is adorable! There is not one bad frame of this girl that I took. Her faces kill me, & when her momma would say "sexayy momma" A-DOR-ABLE she would get so excited & do the cutest face! I had so much fun & can't wait to hopefully see more of this little girl!

Seriously ya'll, this little boy is.to.die.for. When Jada {cash's momma} asked me to do this 3-month pictures I was SO excitied & all though I didn't get to do them; I was just as equally excitied to do his 9-month pictues! Grandma came along on the session & was cracking me up! I didn't get to actually see her, but the shadows, nosies from behind me were enough! All three were so much fun! We didn't get to many smiles out of mister man, as he was teething; but when we did it was perfect! Even though he didn't smile these are some amazing pictures, very baby GQ! ;)

Meet Journey! Her Momma & her are only in Indiana for a few days from Missouri & choose ME to photograph her little one. Seriously I am so flattered! This little girl is SO adorable! Her momma didnt have much packed & lucky my daughters clothes fit her perfectly & honestly look just about as cute as my daughter did in them {i only say this because I am a little bias of my daughter ;) } I was loving the light in this session it was SO perfect!

I am so excited for you to meet these two! You have seen their cute little boy, but get used to see these two because I will be photographing their destination wedding in Gatlinburg, TN this October! I am so excited, its going to be beautiful! I had never meet Charlie before, he was one of the most nice people I have ever met. He even lugged around all my props! I am thinking about making him my assistant ;) Megan & Charlie are wonderful together, I love seeing couples in love interact & these pictures show that! We also got to snag some family & a few of Tucker for his 2 year, even though he just wasnt feeling it!

Fun Fact: Charlie's last name is Brown! :)

This birth was different the other births I have photograph. I was equally as honored to do this one, but this was a cesarean birth; so it was quite sometime before I got to see baby, or momma see her baby for that matter. I was in complete awe of these two families of Ashley & Kendalls. The joy was equally bursting from each of them; & to see two completely different families come together for their child; for the birth of their child & grandchild, was amazing to experience. They have one daughter who flawless was taken care of by her 4 grandparents. Each of them chewing at the bit to see how momma & baby were doing. & most of all know the name that Kendall & Ashley hadn't told until momma was in the room after delivery. They named him Cale. He was absolutely beautiful.

Edwards & Hoffman families; Thank you so much for letting me photograph this beautiful little boy of yours. & most of all thank you for letting me see your wonderful families interact. It was truly beautiful.

Little Miss Tea Party- Mini sessions

I love mini sessions! I think they are so funny & keep me busy! I have quite a few more mini session installments for you all! It is a great alternative for someone who doesnt want a full session! I had a litterly LAST minute idea for mini sessions & luckily have a amazing clients that sign up with less then a weeks notice! I loved seeing old faces & meeting new & welcoming them to the Flash Photography family. So many of these little girls stole my heart, & I loved their mommas; I hope to see them soon! All my PM sessions were canceled but I hope to set something up with each other them soon as well!

Thank you to all the mommas from this weekend! Your girls are beautiful! I hope you love these pictures, because I know I do. Some of my faves ever!
