Who says American companies aren’t investing? They are. Billions, in fact. Only, they are just not investing in the U.S.

Atlanta based Coca-Cola (KO) plans to invest $4 billion in China, the company’s CEO Muhtar Kent told reporters in Shanghai this week. It’s the company’s biggest planned investment in China since the 2009 investment of $2 billion. The investments will start next year and is part of the company’s China capex until 2014.

Kent said the company is even considering listing its shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, adding itself to the list of mainstream brands listing their depositary receipts on exchanges outside of their home base. Massachusetts luggage maker Samsonite opted to list in Hong Kong in the second quarter rather than do its initial public offering on the NYSE. According to this new National Research, it seems really easy to win three more years of life.. I think it is worth trying. Why not?

"It's for men, women, the young and old, smokers, healthy and unhealthy people. Doctors, when they see any type of patient, this is a one-size-fits-all type of advice," the lead researcher Chi Pang Wen told Reuters in a telephone interview.

(Reuters) - Doing just 15 minutes of moderate exercise a day may add three years to your life, a large study in Taiwan has found.

After taking into account differences in age, weight, sex and a range of health-related indicators, they found that just 15 minutes of moderate exercise a day increased life expectancy by three years compared to those who remained inactive.

"The first 15 minutes ... the benefits are enormous," Wen said.

The acquisition, Google’s largest to date and an all-cash deal, would put the company in head-to-head competition with its own business partners, the many phone makers that use Android software, as well as with Apple.

A joke making the rounds online involves a pair of red and green glasses and some blurry letters that say, “If you can’t make it good, make it 3-D.”

Almost everybody knows that "AVATAR" became the most successful film ever made..
But was it because of the three dimensional world of James Cameron that we explored or there was something more behind the enchanting multi-coloured fary-tale.
Also an enormous success was recorded by "Alice in Wonderland" of Tim Burton which followed imediately after.

On the other hand, filmakers are working hard on having nearly 60 3-D movies for the next two years..

Numerous online complaints have been counted this year, eventhough the measurement of the audience resistance to the three dimensional cinema productions is quite difficult since with every new release the box offices are set on fire..

Actress Scarlett Johansson is to make her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge.
She will star opposite Scream star Liev Schreiber in the 1950s-set drama about a Brooklyn dock worker who is obsessed by his 17-year-old niece.

The production is due to open at the Cort Theater on 24 January with previews beginning on 28 December.
Other Hollywood stars to have appeared on Broadway this year have included Jude Law and Hugh Jackman.
Johansson, 24, has appeared in films including Lost In Translation, Girl with a Pearl Earring and Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
Schreiber, 42, has performed on Broadway a number of times and won a Tony Award in 2005 for his role in David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross.

Paul Jessup is an avid reader who is increasingly turning to e-books to feed his love of the written form. It's not just ease of use that draws Jessup to books in a digital form, it's the potential e-books represent.

"It's much better for looking things up, since any e-reader's search function is 10 times better than flipping and looking and searching on my own" in a printed book, said Jessup, an Erie, Pennsylvania-based writer.

He is one of a growing number of bibliophiles, spurred by new reading technologies like Amazon's Kindle, who are gravitating to the digital realm.

Key developments in displays are improving e-book reading devices, whether it be E Ink's displays in products like the Sony Reader and the Kindle, or the easy on the eyes organic light emitting diode (OLED) screens being used in netbook computers and smartphones. Up-and-coming technology promises to enhance e-book reading even further.

Low-power, reflective e-paper displays, which can be read in direct sunlight, are expected to hit the market in the next year from companies like Prime View International and Plastic Logic, said Nick Colaneri, director of the Flexible Display Center at Arizona State University.

"At first these will be flat and largely indistinguishable from the displays in devices like Amazon's Kindle," Colaneri said. "But the availability of a new feature like mechanical flexibility always stimulates the creative energies of designers."

1. Pig's Blood Cake; Taiwan
In Taiwan, pig's blood cake is sold on a wooden stick and eaten like ice cream. Easily found at street markets, it's a sweet treat generally made from pig's blood and rice.

2. Live Octopus; South Korea
Unlike calamari which is dead and still, octopus in South Korea often arrives at the table alive and moving. Connoisseurs of the dish say it's best to eat quickly.

3. Grasshopper; Uganda
Caught during the rainy season and eaten cooked or raw, these are a perennial favorite. Sold with or without wings and legs, they are easily found at the local markets.

4. Pigeon; France
While considered a dirty street animal by many, this poultry dish is an expensive and much-loved delicacy that graces the plates of some of the country's finest restaurants. Considered to have a robust flavor, it still struggles to gain culinary acceptance in much of the world.

Market crisis 'will happen again'

The world will suffer another financial crisis, former Federal Reserve chief Alan Greenspan has told the BBC.

"The crisis will happen again but it will be different," he told BBC Two's The Love of Money series.

He added that he had predicted the crash would come as a reaction to a long period of prosperity.

But while it may take time and be a difficult process, the global economy would eventually "get through it", Mr Greenspan added. "They [financial crises] are all different, but they have one fundamental source," he said.

"That is the unquenchable capability of human beings when confronted with long periods of prosperity to presume that it will continue."

One of the most famous presenter and quiz master Michael Nicholas Salvatore Bongiorno better known as Mike Buongiorno died suddenly of a heart attack in Monte Carlo at the age of 85.
He was born in New York to an Italian mother from Torino and an Italian-American father.Mr Bongiorno moved to Italy when he was a child and became one of the first presenters to defect from Rai to privately-owned Canale 5 and continued to present programmes well into old age.
Among his best known programmes were Lascia o raddoppia, Bravo Bravissimo, La Ruota della Fortuna.

The glove sold in Melbourne Sunday was worn by Jackson in Sydney in 1996, on the day he married Debbie Rowe, the mother of his two elder children, the auction house said.

Like the rest of us, the richest people in the world have endured a financial disaster over the past year.

Today there are 793 people on our list of the World's Billionaires, a 30% decline from a year ago.
Of the 1,125 billionaires who made last year's ranking, 373 fell off the list--355 from declining fortunes and 18 who died. There are 38 newcomers, plus three moguls who returned to the list after regaining their 10-figure fortunes. It is the first time since 2003 that the world has had a net loss in the number of billionaires. The world's richest are also a lot poorer. Their collective net worth is $2.4 trillion, down $2 trillion from a year ago. Their average net worth fell 23% to $3 billion. The last time the average was that low was in 2003.

Bill Gates lost $18 billion but regained his title as the world's richest man. Warren Buffett, last year's No. 1, saw his fortune decline $25 billion as shares of Berkshire Hathaway fell nearly 50% in 12 months, but he still managed to slip just one spot to No. 2. Mexican telecom titan Carlos Slim Helú also lost $25 billion and dropped one spot to No. 3.

Lady Gaga's Poker Face is the most downloaded song since the download chart began five years ago, the Official UK Charts Company says.
The single notched up 779,000 sales on downloads alone to top the chart, and her first UK release Just Dance is the third most downloaded with 700,000.Kings of Leon featured at numbers two and four with their hits Sex on Fire and Use Somebody. La Roux's In For The Kill came in at number five. This was the most recent release in the top 10, first charting in March.
