Now that it’s
football season, my group of friends know what we’re doing every
Saturday. This is the first year that I haven’t had season tickets, and
I’m actually kind of looking forward to not having to stand in the sun
or cold for four hours at a time.

I’m also looking forward to being
able to wear whatever I want to watch the game, rather than being
expected to dress up. We haven’t decided whose house we’re going to be
watching the games at, but our friend John has a brand new big screen
and HD Cable,
so I don’t think it’s going to be a hard decision to make.

One thing
that I really love about football parties is the food. I love all kinds
of tailgating food. Hot dogs, chili, chips, beer, I could go on and
on. Even if we’re not watching my team’s game, the food alone will be
enough to get me there. It’s going to be nice to stay in for a change.
I spent my Saturdays this summer out and about, always doing something
that requires money. I really look forward to saving money and still
being able to do something social.

Does This Go Together

Sometimes it is very difficult in making the decision of what to wear. At least for some folks. For me, well I do sometimes just grab the next available thing hanging in the closet and go with it. Others like my significant other takes time, changes a couple of times and then asks the unanswerable question, "honey does this go together", or "does this look alright"?

Well of course it goes together and of course it looks alright. What else am I suppose to say? I know I'm suppose to be honest but I generally have to watch my honesty with some as I have been called brutal honest. That at times leaves a mark.

So I tend to give myself permission to be a little less than honest or a little above what I think in my honesty. Like the old man and his wife who just came up out of the cyclone cellar to find his home and everything in ruins. He says, "hey look ma, nothing the matter here, isn't it grand the wind stopped blowing"?

So I guess you get my point, only the old fart wasn't being dishonest with his wife he was being dishonest with his self. He really seen nothing wrong when in fact they had lost everything. Trust me, if you read back to a few months ago or last summer you will see that I went through a tornado and we lost pretty much everything. At that time it wasn't important to decide what we was going to wear, it was important to just have a little something to wear and for that we were grateful!

The next time you look into your wardrobe or closet, where ever you keep your next outfit, just remember it's more important to have it than what others are going to think about what you have on. Sure we get caught up in what others think way too often.

I say give yourself permission to be happy, comfortable and grateful on a daily basis!

Prescription Savings Club @ Walgreens

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

After a lengthy and time consuming battle with a former partner in the prescription business Walgreens and Express Scripts have parted ways. Actually if I read it correctly across the Web it got a little ugly considering that Express Scripts eventually took Walgreens to court.

It no longer matters on that end of it though as each have moved on. Today it has created an inconvenience for past customers and present remaining ones alike. If you were getting your medication prescriptions and your refills at Walgreens and Express Scripts was part of your resource then you know that it definitely became an inconvenience. Perhaps you've had to drive farther, change pharmacists, reduce your refills from 90 days to only a 30 day supply... regardless it has been a pain in the behind to put together the ins and outs of your monthly medication refills. However if you have remained with Walgreens and I would like to think you have then you are aware or should be aware of Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens and what they have done for you and those like yourself.

For a limited time you may sign up and get an individual membership for only $5.00 and save $15.00.

Manage your prescriptions quickly and securely online.

Sign in or create an account today

With a free online pharmacy account, you can:

Review your Prescription Savings Club transactions

Set up auto refills for the medications you take regularly

Pick up prescriptions in store or through free shipping

Plus share and print photos, shop online for beauty, health and personal care items .

I encourage you to support Walgreens on Twitter and Walgreens on Facebook. Use these social outlets to also share with your friends and followers about the reasons you are upset at not being able to use Walgreens anymore. Contact your local media and let others know about your unhappiness and dissatisfaction with Express Scripts and how they appeared to mismanage the opportunity to continue to serve you as a valuable customer.

	    a former patne

Not much wind and plenty of sunshine. Hey the grass was even beginning to green up a little. I had made the comment to a friend of mine that if it kept up we would have to dig the mower out and give it a once over so that it didn't get too high. NOT!

Obviously in the middle of January that is not going to happen but wow it has been such a fabulous Fall and Winter so far this year. Late 2011 was unseasonably warm and so far we have broken some records for the high temperatures.

However today and the rest of the week it is suppose to be colder than a well diggers behind and today it has already proven to take this much colder turn. For example today or last night it was down to around 14 degrees with 20 mile an hour winds so the temperature felt like 0 degrees. It also began to snow and ice some but hasn't amounted to too much thank goodness.

It is very cold out today as compared to this time last week but hey like I stated it is January and it is expected! I am so ready for spring and summer though, if you like the cold you can have this.

NOT!

How is your neck of the woods? Has it been unseasonably warm so far this year and not much precipitation. That is another thing we have not had very much snow of course with the warmer weather but we have not had very much rain either. We need some rain and or plenty of snow. The ponds and lakes here are looking a little bare around the edges.

Give us a shout and let us know about your temps and what it is like in your area. Or better yet leave a comment in regards to your favorite time of the year. Send to your twitter followers and or your facebook friends as well. Most of all thanks for stopping in and taking the time to read.
Gosh I love sitting at home on a Saturday and watching games with my husband. He always praises me because he says most women don’t care about football but honey, I was raised in the south and I’m an only child so you KNOW my daddy brought me up to care about the game!

When we first got married someone got us direct tv louisville and we’ve just been renewing it ever since and that’s where we get all the best channels. I love that there are so many different college games available any given Saturday but now that the season’s winding down it’s going to get awful quiet around here.

I guess we need to get outside and start working out more or something but I don’t know – maybe I can convince my husband to watch old game footage on the TV with me once I can find the right channel. I know that won’t be too hard of a sell but maybe he’s sick of watching TV all weekend!

Snapdragon at Qualcomm Stadium Woot! Woot!

This post brought to you by Snapdragon by Qualcomm. All opinions are 100% mine.

For approximately 10 days, from December 18th thru December 28th the Stadium in San Diego known as Qualcomm will become Snapdragon. Yes that's right you heard it here first. Snapdragon processors by Qualcomm are the digital brains inside mobile devices made for mobile applications, which are used by 30 manufacturers including Samsung, LG, Nokia and HTC. Qualcomm is marketing the chipset with an ingredient branding campaign, similar to the “Intel Inside” effort .

Snapdragon technology can be found in smart phones, computer tables, and other computers or devices. Taking a cue from Intel, the company aims to make Snapdragon a household name akin to "Intel inside" - a catchy phrase known to belong to the otherwise quiet Intel . .

The cost for changing the name of the stadium is said to be less than a 30-second commercial at the upcoming Chargers-Ravens game. A

Other events that will take place during this 10 day period are as follows:

Christmas Night Chargers vs. Ravens (Dec. 25th)

San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl (Dec. 21st.)

Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl (Dec. 28th)

Snapdragon Processors have all the best technology to give you the best on a single chip for better battery life and keeps you moving! It takes mobile gaming to a whole new level with console-quality, high-res, realistic 3D scenes and marvelous effects. You won't be disappointed in the outcome with purchase.

The Big Blue Nation of the Kentucky Wildcats and the rough tough Allen Field House otherwise known as the home of the Kansas Jayhawks and the Phog.

I know they recently played against each other and Kentucky ended up on the winning edge by a huge margin. However, I still love Kansas and the Jayhawks as they have been home for me for a long time. But I still bleed Wildcat Blue. It's hard to get that out of your blood when you are raised in the bluegrass state. It seems that folks live and die with basketball season in Kentucky, even more so than horse racing.

As for the funny looking bird known as the Jayhawk, well it's really second to none as well. I remember when Danny Manning was playing for the Jayhawks and took us not only to the Championship game as an underdog, but Won it for us along the way. What an exciting year that was too!

So who is your favorite basketball team? It can't be in the NBA either, it has to be a college team. So chime in below and comment and let us know. Also take the time to send out in a tweet or share with your facebook friends and family.

Oh, and Happy Holidays!

Wish For You Turkeys

So I've been thinking about the blessings I have had in being able to once again fire up my computer and write a silly, meaningful, or review post. Previously I had taken things for granted and of course some things I still will as I am human and seem to have tunnel vision on ocassion. How about yourself?

Anyway it's been a long few months of issues. From medical complications, addictions to grief and dying. Oh yeah and don't let me forget the tornado that took many things from us, including my brothers and sisters homes. All of this happened within a short amount of time and at times seemed almost too much to take.

However as stated above, in taking things for granted I plugged along and somehow was able to make it through it and for now am doing better than I have in quite a few years. Other than the medical issues I have an open-mind and have the ability to turn it over to a God of my understanding. (I did go to the doctor yesterday and he seems optimistic, so that's another blessing)

For now my wish for you is that you have a blessed Holiday Season and your able to spend your time with those you love and surround yourself with Peace and Joy!

Happy Holidays from Sports 4 U!

I really love going to see plays with my family and we actually do it pretty often. When I first heard that there was a local production of Grease being put on, I decided to take advantage of it and take my family to it. They all seemed to love the idea because we love the movie and know a lot of the songs anyway. So there's no way that we couldn't love this play!

So once I started doing the resarch to buy tickets and figure out which time and date we would go and see it, I ran across some info on hearing test in matthews. I passed it along to my husband who I think has needed some hearing aids for a really long time now. He actually listened to me and got fitted with some!

I was glad that he listened to me, especially before we went and saw the Grease play. It was so much fun going and seeing it together as a family. It was such a great idea!
This post brought to you by Untitled Jersey City Project. All opinions are 100% mine.
After having watched the video on youtube I was a little more than impressed with the upcoming show. Please take a moment and watch the video here, and let us know what you think. Did you like it? Will you watch it?
Does it remind you of any shows you have seen in the past. Hey the rules haven't changed, the game is still the same. Could you compete?
The Untitled Jersey City Project may be one of the best upcoming shows you will have the opportunity to watch and learn some valuable information from in order to succeed! No really! Take the time to review it and get in on the action.
Personally I don't watch a lot of shows unless they are reality shows. I like Survivor, The Amazing Race, Big Brother (my favorite) and then my eyes and T V are on sports. I am a huge competitor and believe in waving my flag for my team. Take for instance the following banner,

Who wouldn't want to represent in such a manner? While your at it, take the time to tell us what your favorite show is and why you spend so much time watching it. Until then get in on the action from the upcoming Jersey City Project. Thanks for your time and enjoy!
(and the ones who have always been there for me you know I thank you and I appreciate your patience with all that's happened to me since you've last heard from me.)

I hope to be able to stick around for quite a while again but if you don't hear from me or see a lapse in my posts it is because of continuing medical issues. For now, all is well!

I have certainly missed blogging and am excited to be back online with the opportunity to once again update this blog and continue with reviews etc. It is an outlet for me and I look forward each day I am able to get on here and say something even if it doesn't make sense to you. :)
This post brought to you by Net10. All opinions are 100% mine.
Who doesn't want nationwide coverage? Unlimited calling and text? Net10 Unlimited is a great deal. You get nationwide coverage and unlimited talk, text, and data, for $50 a month .
There are no contracts, no surprise bills and no credit checks. Great nationwide coverage and excellent reception/connectivity. Finally, Net10 only uses trusted phone manufacturers like LG, Motorola, Kyocera, Nokia and Samsung. 10 Good Reasons to become a Net10 customer
Recently we had a huge storm, a tornado actually that took our house down, completely demolished it by the time was over. We lost nearly everything and had to move so we also did some switching of phone companies. Talk about 'see the Lightt', I think I'll become a real NET10 customer.
I think this could be and will be very usual in everyday business needs and socially as well. They have prepaid plans that will fit our needs and are as reasonable as anyone. If your looking for a phone I would encourage you to check them out and make the purchase yourself. Here is what Rob has to say.
When I was a child I will always remember my Granny attempting to teach me how to fish.

Growing up in Kentucky we used to go and cut our own cane poles. You know that when you first cut them they are just a green looking limb and eventually they turn brown or tan. I always found this exciting because we got to go out into the wooded area and just chop some down. I'll also never forget the time when we had moved to Kansas and returned home and on the way back we brought about 50 or 60 cane poles with us. Had them strapped to the top of the station wagon, wow was we country or what?

Today finding the best or most original fishing gear can be tough if you don't know what your looking for. I love to fish, I love to set limb lines and even run nets, but most of all it's the bass and crappie I enjoy fishing for the most.

How about you? What has been your experience with your fishing gear and what do you like to use the most? I use to always prefer a meps spinner and some top water lurers but just put an ole sinker on and golden hook when trying to land that big lunker of a Flathead or Bluecat or channel cat.

Get the Best Choice In Demand!

TLC has a reality series that I find fascinating. It is called Toddlers and Tiaras and exposes the over-the-top world of pageantry. Before watching this show I had no idea that children's beauty pageants were so outrageous. Girls and boys as young as a month old are paraded across the stage to be rated by a panel of lame judges in categories such as fun wear, talent and beauty. The amount of money dolled out by pageant parents is absolutely obscene. Thousands of dollars are spent on dresses, wigs and various costumes.

What really gets my attention is the pressure placed on these youngsters to place high and win a big crown. Children who are barely out of diapers are subjected to spray tans, false eyelashes and acrylic fingernails. Wigs and hai! r extensions are attached and makeup slathered on by parents or stylists. Pretty soon the beautiful fresh-faced child is replaced with a garish mini adult in full regalia of sequins and spangles.

The talent portion of the pageant is often the most unsettling. It is not uncommon to see a toddler dancing seductively in the skimpiest of outfits, again made up to resemble a 20-year-old woman, while her mother shrieks “sparkle baby” from the audience.

I was thrilled when my satellite service from bestchoiceTV.com added Toddlers and Tiaras to its free on demand programming. Even though I find the show disturbing I can't seem to look away.

Answer a few Simple Questions get a new Bellybag

This post brought to you by CryoCell International. All opinions are 100% mine.

Many questions come in to play when the chance arises for a lucky couple. Whether it be a first child experience or perhaps the thought of raising a large family. Just read on and you will probably see for yourself that your not alone and that others are experiencing the same type of emotions that you are. So what's up? With your new baby on the way, you and your family have so many things to do and prepare for. One of the most important decisions you can make is to save your newborns umbilical cord blood at birth. visit http://app.socialspark.com/clicks?lid=5222&oid=1715462 or http://app.socialspark.com/clicks?lid=5232&oid=1715462, find out for yourself and get a new bellybag just by answering a few simple questions.

Raising a child is a challenge. It involves compromise at every stage. It's financially demanding and could well leave you feeling permanently frazzled. But then it can also be hugely rewarding, and something you wouldn't change for the world. Of course, only being a parent can reveal what it's really like, but asking lots of questions beforehand will give you some idea of how well you might cope with parenthood. For instance:

Do you feel ready for a child, and prepared to make a lifelong commitment as a parent?

What role will the child's father play?

How will you support yourself and your baby?

Where will you live?

What kind of support network do you have?

What are the implications for your education and/or career?

So many things to take into consideration, let's hope you did some thinking beforehand but not always the case. Sometimes it happens, without planning, yet is all the same. I'll take it.

In today's world we are always looking for a cure, be it for a cancer, a brain and spinal injury perhaps or an unforeseen disease that developed at an advanced age of your child or even as an adult. Saving the blood from the baby's umbilical chord my be the most important decision you make outside of the actual delivery and the chance at a lifetime to first hold your new born. Think about others, the more you learn about cord blood banking the more you will become with how simple it is to do. Be it controversial or the fact that your belief system is that of an older generation it's time to realize that it's not only a valuable asset to the life of just your baby but could effect several others or perhaps millions involved.

Oh and how he did pull it off nearly doing so by himself. Even as a Midwestern hometown fan like myself I got a very bad feeling when they ranked KU as the number one team in the nation. It never fails it seems that they last very long on top for any length of time as of late.

Is there really a true number one this season though? Ohio State, Texas, Duke, Pittsburgh and yes of course Kansas all deserve to be ranked number one. But is it only a number. Personally I think the only purpose it seems to serve is motivation for the other team to get pumped up and then it's lights out on any given night when your ranked at the top.

You have to give the likes of KState credit though, they were relentless and their defense had KU in shambles most all of the game. They never let up and played like a team on a very big mission. And true that they are because if they would have lost it would have been adios come NCAA tournament time with the selection committee. I don't think they had a chance in hell to make the the 68 team heading into March Madness. NIT would have and still may be a better fit for them.

How to Make Some Fun Super Bowl Recipes

This post brought to you by Kenmore Live Studio. All opinions are 100% mine.
Who's ready for the big game tomorrow? I know I certainly am. I have been looking forward to this since the last Super Bowl was over, but most especially since last week when the AFC and the NFC Championship games were over. Now it's time to prepare for the good food using Super Bowl Recipes that are only made for a game day celebration. Here are a couple of short videos showing you 'How to Make Some Fun Super Bowl Recipes.'

Ok, you can cook some of these recipes at anytime but what a great day to try some of these simple recipes out. Just like there are more ways than one to skin a cat you might say, there are more ways than one to toss in your favorite foods together and mix in a little of your own touch and push it down the basement bar to your friends and watch them pay as much attention to the wonderful dish you prepared as they do the game.

So who are you rooting for? Personally as stated previously I really do not care who wins. I really am undecided. I have some fond memories of both teams throughout the years and especially the Steel Curtain and Terry Bradshaw, Lynn Swan and John Stallworth hooking up for some high speed on the field moments dazzling us all with those fingertip catches. Wow, and let's not forget one of the most spectacular plays of all time where Franco Harris caught the bounce back ball which landed right in his hands, and away he went to score the winning touchdown.

Got something to add? What's your favorite memory or favorite recipe. Share these with us so that maybe we can not only reminisce but eat some of your dish as well. Go ahead tweet this to your followers on twitter and or send to your friends on facebook.
With the recession a huge amount of pet owners are beginning to abandon their pets. Take a moment and give this a thought, if you are wanting to help pets and in this case dogs, buy some 'dog life jackets' for your dog or gift it to a friend if your so inclined to help out a long lost pet.

This organization funds freedom flights for dogs from California to Canada. Here's what they have to say.

"We are promoting the new store section of our website. We are a charity who provide freedom flights which rescue dogs from California which cannot be cared for or sold because of the recession. We fun flights to bring dogs to Canada where they can be sold."

Some might say, "to be sold?" yes that's right to be sold. They have to fund the flights the best way they know how and this provides them the freedom to do so. No one said they charge an arm or a leg for each or any dog. But they do charge and remember! All profits from the store go to rescuing dogs and funding freedom flights. So purchase these dog life jackets and keep your dog warm and safe at the same time as well as help fund another flight home for a good cause.

I would not promote this if I didn't think it was a valid viable organization. I wanted to take the time to share this with you as I know most sports lovers are also dog lovers. However take a look for yourself at the dog life jackets and let us know what you think.

Take time to comment on your thoughts and leave us a message when doing so. Please if your a pet lover and most especially a dog lover take the time to hit the retweet button and or send this post to your facebook friends and family for a good cause. It only takes a minute to save one dogs life but a lifetime to forget the pet you once loved.

Super Bowl Champions 2011 Packers or Steelers

This year is full of hype and it should be. Two teams rich in history of the National Football League. Teams that have been around and have added to the game like only a few others, such as Kansas City, Minnesota, Chicago and don't want to say it but the Dallas Cowboys.

So who is your favorite to win, not your favorite team but who out of the two teams do you really want to see win. Personally I don't care which team wins but I am looking forward to the game and just overall want to see a well played, hard fought battle and definitely don't want a blowout.

Aaron Rodgers vs. Big Ben, Green Bay vs. Pittsburgh, Steelers vs. Packers...It's a story for the ages. Bring home the Lombardi is Green Bays goal. Pittsburgh wants to win it's 7th Superbowl.

This week has been relatively quiet as far as smash mouth talk, so where are the Jets..LOL they would have made for an exciting media event, the whole week would have been filled with Rex Ryan said this and Rex said that. Instead it's been about pictures, why don't my IR's get in the pictures, how boring! I do think that if the Jet's can keep most of the players they have and maybe get another for a position here and there that they will be in the running once again. Just sayin.

Leave us a comment an let us know who is your favorite and what you plan on doing for the Superbowl this year. Thanks for adding to it. Go Packers, I mean Go Steelers, see I really don't care, Go Superbowl, yeah that's it Go Superbowl. Best damn game of the year of any sport in any venue.

Whose Going to the Superbowl And the Winners are

Who's your pick? I know a huge amount of people had the New England Patriots as the eventual winner of the Superbowl and many have the Steelers as well.

I say who is your favorite. If I had to choose I would pick the Steelers as of today but with the many surprises who knows what is going to happen in the upcoming weekend. There has been some exciting games this playoff season, and some so called upsets. However when you reach this time of the year anything is possible. Teams didn't reach this far into the season by mistake.

Those remaining are

New York Jets

Pittsburgh Steelers

Chicago Bears

Green Bay Packers

I say they are all capable of winning it all what do you think? Got something to add feel free to comment and or send to your facebook friends and or retweet it.

Top 3 Not so Top Sports Stories of 2010

Let's take a look back over the year 2010 and the not so top stories outside the playing field. I recently wrote an article referencing all the negative attention that different professional and college athletes and schools were getting and how I thought that we tend to focus on what's happening off the field instead of what is actually taking place on it. Are the Stories Outside of the Game Bigger Than the Games

So what are some of the Top Stories Outside the Games 2010. I know there are a number of athletes and stories or controversies that will deserve to be mentioned and some will be tops to you and not me. I think the most notable ones that deserve mentioning are:

LeBron James

I still think his handling of how he chose to leave Cleveland is one of the biggest stories of the year and most definitely one that goes without controversy. From his poor choice of timing to deliver his pick of the Miami Heat to his stand up dances and the way he pranced around with Dewayne Wade and Chis Bosh. I can't believe that the latter two fell into his trap, but also can't help but think that they were as much of the controversy in the latter stages as he was in the beginning. Now look at them, granted LeBron did smash the Cavaliers upon his return to his former arena, they have been struggling to win games and look like the team that was meant to be.

Tiger Woods

Though mistresses are still chasing his putter he appears to not be letting it outta the bag but has tried his hand at becoming a twitter whore. If it wasn't enough that we heard for months how Tiger did this and Tiger did that we had to watch him make an attempt at a less than successful but stellar comeback. This has to be one story that tugs and pulls at me. Oh how I wish I had the mans money, he can keep the fame. How I wish I could putt like him and swing driver like his ex-wife. I have compassion for him believe it or not. I don't envy his many women or his adulterous behavior and definitely don't condone it. I do however hope that he continues to make a successful comeback and has a successful 2011.

Ben Roethlisberger

Another stellar who seems to have difficulty keeping his wang in the pocket. Big Ben as he's known throughout the NFL was cited for allegations of sexual misconduct inside a Georgia night club. Apparently a 20-year-old student told an officer that Roethlisberger sexually assaulted her inside a bathroom in the club. Although no criminal charges were filed he did serve a suspension by the NFL for six games that turned out to only be four. Questions remain unanswered in this as Big Ben has been in the spotlight from a previous as Roethlisberger faces a lawsuit filed last July by a woman who says he raped her in 2008 at a Lake Tahoe hotel and casino, an allegation he strongly denies. So are these women out for fame and fortune or are these guys such as Roethlisberger immune to prosecution? Tiger did admit that he was getting down with others and apparently is taking responsibility for his actions. I hope we never hear of it or see it, but if Big Ben has a problem with how he treats women then we haven't heard the last of his clubbing yet.

So what are some of the biggest stories that you can recall? And please add a comment if you have anything to say good, bad or indifferent. We appreciate your comments.

Todays Most Popular Athelete is Michael Vick who is Yours? vote and win

Who is the most popular sports figure today? Obviously we all have our favorites and maybe this is where some of the answers will well from but really who is the most popular?

Are they in the NFL, NCAA, NBA, GOLF, NASCAR, or dumbass wrestling? Quick who comes to mind for you first? I remember when I was a kid that Michael Jordan was the Superstar athlete and well deserved I might add, Karl Malone was the rebound and point getter and Dennis Rodman was well known, well known for his antics as much as for his rebounding! Gosh I loved him, I so enjoyed watching him play. Now don't get me wrong when he up and married himself I was truly disappointed. How could you come up with that in Times Square or where ever it was and pull it off. Truth is no one at the time could except a Dennis Rodman.

However I have to say that Joe Montana was my idol. He was my favorite, most popular sports figure during my generation. Sometimes I watch, well all the time I watch SportsCenter and Espn and each day is...well somewhat a new day but mostly it's a carryover from yesterday. They get on there and talk about how the media got slammed by some NFL superstar during a press conference or required weekly press talk, yet they do nothing but repeat, repeat, rinse and repeat. They should call it Repeatn.

So who do you think is the most popular sports figure right here right now during your generation and your time? Tiger Woods, hell he made an apology the past few days that would make most grown men cry or throw a club, I mean beer at him. No? You don't think? So what do you think? You think he is the most popular?

What about Lebron James, the lost jem, oh wait that's spelled gem, anyway what about Lebron? Here's a guy who took on a town with his own ambition and ended up making a spectacle of the whole shoobockery. What's up with that. Is he your most popular? He damn certain isn't mine.

I kinda like Michael Vick to be honest with you. Now here is a gentleman who took on defeat and defeated it. Most people who end up in the system we well know as prison never come out and accomplish the positive results that they sit back on a daily basis and say they will or wish they could. He did it folks. Michael Vick has proven that he is back and he is for real. Will he win the SuperBowl? Well that would be like icing on the cake but if he doesn't that doesn't by any means mean he is defeated. He took on and continues to take on defeat each Thurs, Sunday and or Monday Night with a huge collar around his neck. Hell I thought they got rid of those over a hundred years ago. This man does not need to be a slave to your antics. You should be ashamed of yourself if you sit back and body slam him even though he isn't a wrestler, you should be apologetic for posting his name on some poster next to 'mamby pamby' stating would you do this to this?

Come on, get a life. Vote by leaving a comment and or sending to your facebook friends. Hell who knows if you get many participants I might do a drawing and throw in some tickets to see Michael Vick or your Favorite player of today play. So forward, comment and or tweet just let us know that you did so.

The Miami Heat

This guest post from Margaret Mills

The Miami Heat have been the talk of the summer. This is for a very simple and obvious reason, as they have added a major piece to their championship puzzle. That's right, I am talking about Joel Anthony, the shot blocking and rebounding presence who will anchor this team's stunning defense. Anthony will be tasked with stopping the other team's elite big men, from Dwight Howard to Pau Gasol. Without Joel Anthony, the Miami Heat would be just another lottery team, begging other NBA teams for wins before ultimately being contracted for their failures.

However, the addition of Joel Anthony by mastermind Pat Riley swings the balance of power to the Miami Heat. Now every expert, prognosticator and casual fan has jumped on the Miami Heat bandwagon. People from Fort Lauderdale to South Beach are lining up to buy season tickets, donning black number 50 jerseys and their mouths well with saliva.

My mouth is wet and frothing with spit bubbles too, as I imagine Anthony blocking shots and defending the paint, compensating for the Miami Heat's inferior perimeter players. While some point to the acquisition of Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh as key, most basketball insiders know that those players are but paltry supplemental pieces compared to the monster in the paint, Joel Anthony. I know this because I watched every Miami Heat preseason game thanks to my TVBYDIRECT.

Spurrier back in the Swamp

If Urban Meyer has his way The Swamp as it's known will be out of control. The fans have been encouraged to wear blue and make plenty of noise.

However the storyline still appears to be about Spurrier and his time he spent in the swamp. Not only as a great coach but his time as a player.

The Post and Courier calls it a high stakes game and it is all of that for certain. With both teams entering the game with identical records at 6-3 and 4-3 in the SEC's East Division, the East Division title hopes will be on the line.

So who really has the best team? Not who has the best coach but the best team. I think that South Carolina will come out on top but it will be a close game with a possible overtime in order to win. Weigh in, who do you think will win and who do you think has the best chance. Most will say Florida Gators because of course the home field advantage.

Freedom of On Demand TV

Guest post by Morton England

I've recently started taking advantage of the free On Demand option on my satellite TV from cannonsatellite.com and I must say that it is one of the best television viewing inventions ever. Having the opportunity to watch almost any program at any time gives you an unrivaled sense of freedom in your television viewing. Freedom from ads, freedom from browsing through guides and freedom from the constraints of time slots. It's basically the epitome of the American way.

These days I watch almost all my movies On Demand and have started to watch some TV shows as well. In most cases, I would never have known that the movie was even on TV had it not been for it's availability via On Demand. This past week I've seen Transporter 2, Kick Ass and the Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift thanks to On Demand TV, despite not knowing when these movies were even on.

Another feature I love is the specialty channels that are available through On Demand. I watch tons of anime online, so it's pretty cool to be have the anime channel and just check out shows whenever you please. Another channel I enjoy watching is the food network channel on demand. It just makes watching television so much more convenient that I have to remind myself to go outside every once in awhile to get some fresh air.
