O.P.I Push and Shove Duet Pack Experiment

Hello All!

Happy Sunday!

I was at Ulta the other day and saw the Gwen Stefani Duet Pack to create a metallic chrome effect that would have a mirror finish....so it claims.

I wondered....Do you HAVE to use the O.P.I Lay Down the Base base coat?

I found the answer to be no in one instance!

These are the other base coats I used for the experiment.

Pinky Finger: China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
Ring Finger: Nail Life Gripper Basecoat
Middle Finger: Seche Vite Clear Base Coat
Pointer Finger: Beauty Secrets Base Coat

I used the O.P.I Lay Down the Base on the Thumb.

Here is what happened:

Ok so I put a thin coat of all the base coats and let them completely dry.
I then applied two thin coats of the Push and Shove chrome color.

You can definitely see how the color just streak all over the place on my pinky, ring and pointer fingers but check out that ring finger!!

I was shocked to see that the Nail Life Gripper actually allowed the color to be applied evenly.

Here is a side by side of them both

Except for me not catching the actual nails in the focus....they look pretty much the same.

I picked up my bottle of Nail Life Gripper at Sally Beauty Supply.

Above is a close up of the Push and Shove and Lay Down the Base.

They do say on the package that it is intended for one night only wear since you are not supposed to put a top coat on it.

I needed something bright and summery.

I always reach for one of the China Glaze neons.

They really do come out with great variety of colors

This strawberry stamp is just too cute.

You know I gotta do a accent nail and black and white goes goes great with hot pink.

I had some of my Julep polishes on my desk and just loved the combo
that I had to do a look with them.

It is weird cause I used the same Konad white stamping polish but when I stamped it on the green one, it came out slightly yellow.
Oh well..I still like it.

I was playing with this Sally Hansen Lilac color and the stamp and jsut needed to liven it up with another color and then boom this Sally Hansen green spoke to me

I have not done a fishtail in a while and I really l like how the colors play together in it.

I also wanted to get a glitter as a accent and China Glaze Techno is just such a pretty chunky holo.

I dont know what it is but I just love stamping over gradients.

I love how something that is so simple to do can come out so fancy. Lol

Definite LSU colors going on here!

The purple is not as bold as in the pan which I am happy about since more usable.

The bag this month is hot pink vinyl which I guess works with the theme for the beach being waterproof but it reminds me of a pencil case.

It's hard to get a value since of the BH palette sample but just the polish alone make the bag worth it.

4th of July Bundle Monster Mani

Happy 4th of July Everyone!

Today I am so happy to show you the mani I created using the new Bundle Monster Holiday Collection nail stamps.

I really fell in love with how these came out.

The designs in this collection are just so cute and unique.

I used the same polishes as in the other two manis.

I used the fireworks design at the top. I'm not gonna lie, that sucker was a pain in the butt to get to stamp. I wanted to have a multi color look but would never transfer to the stamper. The only way I could do it was just to use all of the one color. Grrrrrr........

I used all the designs except for the eagle head and full hat image on left.

I did try the eagle head but.....just looked a bit odd once I put on my nail.

All of these images stamped perfectly

I hope you like the look of this design as much as I do.

As my mom wrote to me on Instagram.....No one will doubt my patriotism while I'm wearing these.

July 4th Stamping with a Glitter Accent

Here is mani number 2 for my 4th of July designs.

I really liked the glitter polish in the botlle but I gotta be honest....wasn't too excited once on the nail.

It took a lot of fishing to get the one star to get on. :-(

Julep Laguna Beach Mystery Box

Today I have to show you my Julep Laguna Beach Mystery Box.

This box was $24.99 and there was a choice between three "styles" to try.

I'm happy with choosing the Laguna Beach style cause these colors are very pretty.

Yes Julep...surprises are fun!

Cody: "Cantaloupe orange créme"

Fiona: "Electric lime neon green crème"

Abbie: "Sunshine yellow crème"

So of the three polishes I got , Abbie is one I already had.

Strawberry - Mint Lip Balm

I have gotten this lip balm before but it is a nice balm so Im not upset about getting another one.

June Ipsy Bag....On the Wild Side

Well after getting the description from the site... its not to be used as a eye shadow but just to add to your face. Yeah I think the only way I'm using is for Halloween.

This was actually nice to use and did add a lift and brightness to eyes. I also used in the inner corners as well.

Foster Care Awareness Mani

May was Foster Care Awareness Month.

Sorry, yes I know it is June but if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram...you got to see these.

My friend Brandi who you all know of cause she makes the Sassy B Bands is a new foster mom.

There are kids of all ages that are in foster care but I am spotllighting my buddy who is caring for a cutie baby boy, Baby C.

Hence why I chose the baby bottle stamp

I was at Walgreens and saw this display.

I got inspired to use that royal blue color for this mani

I liked the fun look that this fuzzy coat polish created. It did take like three coats to get this kind of coverage. I did put a base coat of Julep Kate cause there was no way this would cover in those three coats.

Julep Destination Mystery Box

Hey Guys,

Just got email about the new Julep Mystery Box. They are doing something new and having three different types to choose from. They are all based on destinations... Laguna Beach, Miami and The Hamptons.

As you can see from the picture , it describes the style of each box. Of course I would want all three but I just can't justify the $75. I seriously hate that they are now $25 when used to be $20.

I decided to go with the Laguna Beach style since described as trendy, vibrant and fun.

Which would you choose?

Influenster Spring Vox Box

Secret Outlast Clear Gel Deodorant

I normally use a invisible solid but this has been my go to ever since getting.

It really does work well and I did not test if last 48 hours....I don't know, not putting on deodorant every day just seems off to me.

Osis Gelastic Texture Gel

I did use theis when I went for a beachy wave look. I had first sprayed on the Bumble and Bumble Seal Salt Spray and then used a bit of this to lock in those wave.

It worked well and was not too hard feeling.

NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm

I really like using this balm. It's not sticky and it has a nice apple scent.

Came out blurry but that a apple shape in the core.

As you can tell in the swatch, it gives a sheer pinky red color to your lips.

June Julep Maven It Girl Box

This year has been flying by, I guess dealing with the broken ankle with being out of commission for a couple of months helped with that. LOL

Today I have this very pretty June Maven Box. I stuck with my same It Girl profile.

This box just screams Nantucket, Taylor Swift when still dating that Kennedy kid, not that I have ever been there but..... I digress.

Gotta love when they include a little snack.

I'm almost surprised it wasn't the July box with these colors I got!
