For centuries the islanders of Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra have woven the magical cloth the world knows as Harris Tweed, Clo Mhor in the original Gaelic- ‘The big cloth’.
From time immemorial, the inhabitants of the West of Scotland, including the Outer Hebrides had made cloth entirely by hand. As the Industrial Revolution reached Scotland, the mainland turned to mechanisation but the Outer Islands retained their traditional processes. Lewis and Harris had long been known for the excellence of the weaving done there, but up to the middle of the nineteenth century, the cloth was produced mainly for home use or for a purely local market.

Sydney - Australia's Marina Dickson wowed a worldwide television audience of 1 billion and was praised by Pope Benedict XVI for her portrayal of the Virgin Mary in a re-enactment of Jesus Christ's final hours.

It was the high-point of the week-long World Youth Day celebrations in Sydney last year that drew 400,000 pilgrims from 170 countries.

Which is why the faithful were shocked Sunday when news broke that the beauteous 27-year-old had abandoned the Catholic Church and taken up with the evangelical Sydney-based Hillsong movement.

"It's important you're where God wants you to be," Dickson told the Sun Herald. "I feel Hillsong is where I'm called to be. I'm so happy."

Cardinal George Pell, who as archbishop of Sydney hosted the pope, described the defection as a "great sadness" - particularly because he headed the panel that picked Dickson over thousands of other hopefuls.

The Chilean-born Dickson was unrepentant. "Hillsong is more about having a relationship with God," she told the paper. "It's a lifestyle, not just somewhere to go on Sunday."

Dear Catholic friends. Today we see new churches coming up every nook and corner of the world, like KFC franchise, They claim that they follow bible. they live Jesus, and they preach Jesus. The truth is far from cry.
The truth is explained in bible: it says the time is not far when people will come and say that the God is there and God is here. but the one who profess the faith to mother church will be blessed because He withstand the temptation.
key for entering into young mind is fast music and social gatherings, this is offered in plenty by such"pastors" to lure young and trendy, this is where Catholic church fall behind for she always stands by tradition.

Great lesions in life in last month (may-June 2007)... Life may teach you many thing, its important that we learn from them. Here I am placing some thoughts that comes to mind when we give a bit time to ourselves to listen to our own being, well this may not be applicable universally, at least not some points down there, but trust me there will be people who would agree with me to whatever I have scribbled in it, I had no reader in mind when I wrote them but I thought it would do no harm if this is shared in WWW.

Respect is bought, even from the family
You have money?? Well, you have every one,
Every one’s life is important to them, and that comes first before every commitment.
You are born to live, not to leave
Life unfolds in many ways.. be clever
Today’s world’s mantra.. money money money
Hunger can make you a philosopher
Love does exist??
No one becomes a father or mother by helping in procreation
Every relationship is based on money
Drinks or drugs are not the ways to solve anything but to forget things for a while... well it dose not help
Suicide is escapism, face the world…
Its easy to be some one’s friend when they are fine, but hard other wise,
Every one will come back when you are fine…{well tested and proven in lab of life, many times}
Some are born lucky…
Love has its price!!!
No one can spoil you, unless you want them to.
