Xbox should be banned in U.S? Judge thinks so!

Earlier this year, Microsoft faced a sales ban in Germany for infringing a Motorola patent. The same case that appeared in Germany is going to cause some problems for Microsoft in the U.S.

A judge believes that Microsoft did infringe on a Motorola patent and that the Xbox should be banned in the U.S.They also believe that Microsoft should post a 7% bond for any unsold Xbox's.

This is a problem for Microsoft and they are obviously appealing this ban but if it went through in Germany, it gives some precedent to why it should be banned in the U.S.

If the Judge's claim is backed up by the ITC, this case will end up on President Obama's desk. His administration will have final say on what the fate of the Xbox will have.

Personally studying business law, I feel that the Xbox will end up being banned. This is not as big as people might first believe. The market is already saturated for Microsoft and no one is going to be buying too many Xbox consoles. The next-gen consoles will takeover soon and that is where the focus will shift. If this case were brought up earlier, it would be a huge financial loss for Microsoft but not so much now.

Wii U will be shown at E3 in its final form!

Nintendo announced that the Wii U will be shown at E3 in its final form which will hopefully be hitting shelves this holiday season.

Much speculation was out about Microsoft and Sony announcing their own consoles, but they confirmed that that is not the case.

Personally I am excited for the next wave of next-gen consoles! Finally some change after these consoles and who knows what kind of technology is on the way!

Are you guys excited for E3 and the Wii U? Hopefully the Wii U will gain popularity and match up against the next-gen Sony and Microsoft consoles when they come out.

Microsoft gives full refund to misinformed Minecraft Users

I wrote an article earlier where Minecraft users bought the game for the Split-screen option but later finding out with no notice that you needed a HDTV to play that.

Microsoft recently released this statement on that matter stating that they have added the HDTV requirement for split-screen feature on the details screen prior to download and payment.

Also, they have announced that any Minecraft players that bought the game prior to this announcement can get a full refund through the Microsoft's customer support.

I commend Microsoft for doing this and also a smart move to hold their image as a company. What do you guys think about this?

"Terminal" map found in MW3 Vaults

This is strange but it is the same way that previous maps were also leaked before. Terminal was found in the vault of a player but when clicked it says that you have to purchase the map pack.

To me this is almost a confirmation that classic maps are in the works but not a confirmation if they will come out.

So are you guys excited as much as I am? I can't wait for this map and start playing it!

New Halo 4 Details out! Including Multiplayer!

343 Studios and Microsoft spoke to Game Informer about the Halo 4 and gave out a lot of details about the game!

First off it the Halo Infinity Multiplayer! Halo Infinity is a starship essentially where you customize your character for battle and combines both your Multiplayer career with your Single player career. The Devs wanted to put the Multiplayer aspect more into the world of Halo.

Second is the Sparton Ops! This is basically a combination of the Single Player story with the Multiplayer mechanics. They are weekly mission that will come out that wil either be Single player or Co-op.

Third is War Games! War Games is the traditional multiplayer experience we all know and love. Although there will be more innovation, such as new game modes, guns etc.

Lastly, and probably the most surprising, is a Perk System! There are not many details on the Perks, but I believe they will work similar to Call of Duty. It allows more customization to your Halo experience.

Activision pays out Ex-Infinity Ward devs $42 Million but not a settlement

As you guys may know, Activision is being sued by Ex-Infinity Ward devs for unpaid royalties from Modern Warfare 2 and they are being counter-sued for allegedly conspiring with their now employers EA while being employed under Activision.

Today, Activision came out during the discovery phase and paid out what they believe the Ex-devs should be paid. The devs find the amount not even close to what they are in for litigation for and they believe this is just a ploy to make them look good infront of the jury.

What do you guys think about this? Is Activision genuinely giving this money, or are they just putting up a front to look good? Comment below?

Australian Diablo III pre-orders from GAME will not be fulfilled...and not given a refund?

If you order from GAME and your from Australia, you're probably not going to be playing Diablo III. News just came in that GAME will not be receiving stock for Diablo III.

That's fine right? Sometimes they do not get stock so you can just go to other stores. But wait, they also CAN'T GET A REFUND???? What sorcery is this? It also surprisingly is not illegal, so they can get away with this.

A store manager said that consumer's will just have to write this one off. So this opens up to talk about North American stores. What if this happened in North American stores? What would the outcome be? Hopefully there are laws protecting us here.

Hopefully the Australian Diablo III fans get there games and GAME figures out a way to retain their customers because they are going to take a big hit on their consumer base.

New Black Ops II Knife System being developed?

David Vonderhaar, an executive over at Treyarch, was seen tweeting to youtuber ONLYUSEmeBlade about a certain feature that he may want to take credit for.

As some of you may know, ONLYUSEmeBLADE is a knife-only player and many of his videos is of him using is knife and no guns at all. This leads us to believe that there may be a change to the knife system.

Some of the suggestion ONLYUSEmeBLADE had put out in previous videos has been:

Knife as a secondary weapon
Two knife hits is a death and a perk changes ability to one knife hit
Knife as an equipment

Borderlands 2 Siren Reveal

Borderlands 2 has just revealed the new Siren in the game. She goes by the name of Maya. It can be seen in the trailer that she has a new ability called phase lock which essentially throws a person into the air and holds them up there while pummelling them with a barrage of attacks.

MW2 Terminal found among Face-Off loading screens

Reddit members found the Face-Off loading screens among a new PC update. What they found next was surprising. The MW2 map Terminal had its own loading screen there as well.

Does this mean that Terminal will be coming up as a free update? Fourzerotwo left the company wanting free maps for players so will we have to pay for these? Or will Terminal be apart of a bigger package of Nostalgic maps? Comment below on some of the maps you would like to see!

Avengers assemble for a game!

If you enjoyed the movie as much as I did you will be stoked! Ubisoft Quebec is going to work with Marvel Studios to create Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth.

The game is going to come out this fall and it will take a different storyline from the movie. Also, you will get to play as over 20 different characters. This gives a huge collection from the Marvel universe to play as!

The bummer is that it will not be available for PS3 as it will only be available for the Kinect and Wii. This indicates that there will be some soft of motion control that is needed. PS Move would probably have been great but no information on why it is not.

RUMOR: Kinect-controlled web browsing coming to a XBOX near you!

There has been a rumor going around that the Kinect will be optimized so that it can be used for web browsing on the Xbox 360.

Web browsing is something news on the Xbox 360. The PS3 has web browsing integrated into the PS3 so this may be a way for Xbox 360 to respond to that. The web browsing aspect may also be a selling point for families, so this might even increase sale for the 360.

Along with this will be coming Microsoft's Internet Explorer as the main browser. Even if you do not have a Kinect, you can still use it with the regular 360 controller.

With the PS3 already having this functionality, is it too late to introduce it? Or is the integration with Kinect to make it easier good enough to bring it to consoles? Is this a sign that sales are dropping? With the subsidized $99 xbox, it might be a sign. Or is the integration with Kinect to make it easier good enough to bring it to consoles? Comment below!

LEGO: Lord of the Rings leak

This just in, there has been a leak of an upcoming game, LEGO: Lord of the Rings. This leak came from a brochure for upcoming LOTR toys. This is backed up by leaks from other retailers as well and for now the release date seems to be October 26th, 2012.

Do any of you guys play the LEGO games? I only played a Star Wars one and I loved it. Will you be picking this up? Comment below!

New Assassin's Creed trailer is out!

So the new Assassin's Creed III trailer is out and it looks phenomenal! The highlight of the trailer is all of the gameplay that you see from the 3rd person perspective. The graphics are also top notch!

The story seems to be of the struggle our Protagonist will face, which is to either repel outsiders from entering his land, or accepting the fact that the land is not of his people anymore. I believe that it is going to show how the Native Indians were kicked off their land by the new settlers.

Some of the weapons we see are the original bow and arrow, as well as a tomahawk. The tomahawk does some serious damage and look for it to be the go to weapon in the game. The action is there, and it appears this game will be another amazing game in the series.

Minecraft Xbox feature locked out for some players

Hey guys, so it seems that there is a big problem brewing for owners of Minecraft for the 360, which came out earlier today. The problem is mainly for people who do not own a HDTV.

The long awaited split screen feature is only available to players who own an HDTV. This causes many problems for some people because the reason they bought the game rather than the counterpart on the PC is because of that feature.

Also, there is no information of this written anywhere on the Xbox Marketplace and the point of purchase and the Minecraft forums are bursting with threads about this issue.

What do you guys think? Should these players get a refund, or is it too bad that they did not do further, intensive research? Post your comments below!

Modern Warfare 3 Face Off Mode Revealed!

Infinityward and Sledgehammer games have announced their DLC collection 2! Although this was a given, the surprise comes from their all new game mode!

The new game mode is called Face Off mode which is essentially Cage match from COD4. Players play each 1 v 1 or now 2 v 2. You can set the rules to whatever you want. If you want snipers only, you can do that, no perks?, you can do that as well! The Face Off mode comes with its own exclusive maps designed for this playlist. To start off, there will be 4 maps for this mode alone!

The DLC comes out for Xbox Elite members first on May 15th and content collection comes out for the rest of Xbox on May 22nd. PS3 and PC date TBA.

Insomniac Games and EA reveal Outernauts

Insomniac Games ,in conjunction with EA, are coming out with their first social game debut. The game is called Outernauts. They essentially want to change the face of the Facebook gaming industry. With competition from Farmville and other games, Outernauts hopes to become one of the most played games on Facebook.

Before Outernauts, Insomniac Games worked on consoles games such as the Resistance franchise. With that under their belt, this game can have success but they might have to learn a lot of the Facebook world.

Facebook is not full of die hard gamers like those of a console. The range of audience is tremendous and if they fail to realize this, it can be their demise.

Pre-order items for The Amazing Spider-Man revealed!

Activision has unveiled the pre-order items for the upcoming Spider-Man game. The events of the game take place after the events of the upcoming movie.

If you decide to pre-order from Gamestop, you will get the Rhino Challenge where you play as Rhino and rampage across New York City destroying objects and gaining points.

The one I find I might pre-order from is Amazon. If you do, you get to play as the creator of Marvel, Stan Lee, and team with Spidey to find pieces of his latest script across the city.

Unfortunately, these pre-orders only come with the PS3 and XBOX 360 versions of the game. The Amazing Spider-Man comes out on June 26th for PS3, XBOX 360, Wii, 3DS and DS
