Los rumores del fin del mundo, de cambios de conciencia, necesarias renovaciones e introspecciones, y la incertidumbre del futuro, nos impulsaron a lanzar una colección diferente, atrevida y llena de contrastes. Nuestra inspiración: las musas futuristas del genio cinematográfico Ridley Scott, quien, en los 80’s, no tuvo miedo de mostrar un mundo futuro lleno de estilo, pero también de contrastes. La musa de PAAR nos transporta a ese imaginario, en donde los avances tecnológicos impulsan la creatividad y la experimentación con texturas y colores nunca antes utilizados. La colección refleja nuestra necesidad de regresar a lo creativo, y nuestra tendencia invariable de mezclar estilos.

Los colores neón como el fucsia luminoso, el amarillo y naranja eléctrico contrastan con el negro y el gris. El uso de vinil en tonos sólidos y transparentes adornados con estoperoles, los hilos brillantes, flecos y piedras de color evocan también sensaciones tribales, recordándonos que por más incierto que sea el futuro que nos espera, siempre existe un pasado que admirar.

Rumors of the end of the world, of sudden changes in consciousness, insights and necessary renovations, and the uncertainty of the future, prompted us to launch a different collection, bold and full of contrasts. Our inspiration: the futuristic muses of the movie genius Ridley Scott, who, in the 80's, was not afraid to show a future world full of style, but also of contrasts. PAAR's muse takes us to this imagined future, where technological advances foster creativity and experimentation with textures and colors never used before. The collection reflects our need to return to creativity, and our invariable tendency to mix styles.

Neon colors like fuchsia, bright yellow and orange, contrast with black and gray. The use of vinyl and acrylic in solid and transparent colors adorned with studs, bright threads, tassels and colored stones also evoke tribal feelings, reminding us that even if an uncertain future awaits, there is always the past to admire.

Empecé como un sueco estándar en Suecia. Luego me mudé a Alemania y viví ahí diez años de mi vida. Estoy haciendo la licenciatura en Filosofía y Economía en la Universidad de Oxford en Inglaterra y probablemente haga un doctorado en economía en Estados Unidos después, aunque todo puede pasar. Me encanta la filosofía, la física, las matemáticas y la economía. En realidad, la mayoría de las disciplinas me parecen fascinantes. Por ejemplo, hace poco descubrí lo sorprendente que es la biología evolutiva. Me gusta la abstracción. Creo que la sencillez es hermosa. He leído muchísimo. Durante el semestre, paso casi todo el tiempo en las bibliotecas. Cuando llegan las vacaciones, me dedico a viajar. Acabo de regresar después de estar cinco semanas en Australia y durante el verano viajé por toda Europa. Normalmente viajo solo o con mi (impresionante) hermana, y casi siempre me hospedo con amigos que he conocido con el paso de los años. Estoy obsesionado con el techno, y con el "deathcore" (una mezcla entre punk hardcore y death metal). También me encantan la música romántica tardía y el jazz. Me encanta bailar solo y con los ojos cerrados. Me fascinan los mapas, el fuego, los océanos, la luz del otoño, y muchas otras rarezas. Oscilo entre periodos de sociabilidad extrema y aislamiento. Llevo la contraria invariablemente. Soy cínico. Y escéptico. También me río todo el tiempo y casi siempre en voz muy alta.

I started out as a standard Swede in Sweden. Then I moved to Germany for ten years. I'm doing my BA in Philosophy and Economics at Oxford in England at the moment. I'll probably be doing a PhD in Economics in the States after this, but anything could happen! I love philosophy, physics, mathematics and economics. Actually, I find most disciplines engrossing. I only just discovered how amazing evolutionary biology is, for example. I like abstraction. I think simplicity is beautiful. I read a lot. During term, I spend most of my time in libraries. During vactions I travel a lot. I just came back from five weeks in Australia. In the summer I travelled all around Europe. I go alone or with my (awesome) sister, and usually stay with people I've met here and there. I'm obsessed with techno, and with deathcore (=hardcore punk + death metal). I'm also enchanted by late Romantic music, and by jazz. I love to dance alone with my eyes closed. I am also fascinated by maps, fire, oceans, autumn sunlight and various other oddities. I oscillate between extreme sociability and seclusion. I'm an incurable contrarian. And cynic. And sceptic. I also laugh frequently and very loudly.

La sencillez es elegancia, y se resume con esta frase de Mies van der Rhoe: ¨less is more¨. Estudié arquitectura de interiores en el IED de Madrid, y también hice un diplomado en diseño de zapatos. Acabo de regresar de Londres, en donde estudié diseño de joyas, bolsas y zapatos en el London College of Fashion. Tengo mi propia marca de accesorios y trabajo como freelance en arquitectura. Me encanta el diseño en general. Soy fanática de la moda y la pasión que siento por la arquitectura no la puedo negar. El ver como la imaginación se convierte en un dibujo y este dibujo en un objeto, para mi es un sentimiento indescriptible. Amo México, pero constantemente siento la necesidad de explorar nuevos lugares, me gusta estar en movimiento y creo que no hay cosa mas increíble que viajar. He vivido en varios lugares pero las ciudades que más han marcado mi vida fueron Milán, Madrid y Londres. Me encanta el arte y las antigüedades, mis artistas favoritos son Edvard Munch y Jackson Pollock. Recomiendo las instalaciones de Rafael Lozano-Hemmer. Lo que más disfruto es una copa de vino acompañada de una buena plática y buena compañía. En cuanto a música, depende del "mood" en el que esté, aunque nunca me canso de Andrew Bird y Kings of Convenience. Los diseñadores que mas me gustan son Alber Elbaz y Alexander Wang, mis marcas del momento son Rag and Bone, Sandro y The Kooples. Considero que tengo un estilo sencillo, por lo general uso colores neutros, y mi color es el gris, intento no fijarme en las marcas, simplemente compro lo que me gusta y nunca uso algo con lo que no me sienta cómoda. I believe elegance lies in simplicity. This can be summarized with this Mies van der Rhoeo quote: ¨ less is more¨. I studied interior design at IED Madrid, where I also obtained a diploma in shoe design. I just returned from London, where I studied jewelry, bag and shoe design at the London College of Fashion. I have my own accessories brand, and I often freelance in architecture. I love design and fashion, and my passion for architecture can't be denied. I love how imagination can become a drawing, and this drawing then becomes an object. It is an indescribable feeling. I love Mexico, but constantly feel the need to explore new places. I like being in motion and I think nothing is more amazing than to travel. I have lived in several places but the cities that have marked my life the most were Milan, Madrid and London. I love art and antiques, my favorite artists are Edvard Munch and Jackson Pollock. I recommend Rafael Lozano-Hemmer’s installations. What I enjoy the most is drinking a glass of wine accompanied by a good chat and good company. As for music, it will always depend on my mood, but I never get tired of Andrew Bird and Kings of Convenience. The designers I like the most are Alexander Wang and Alber Elbaz, my favorite brands are Rag and Bone, Sandro and The Kooples. Soy mexicana de corazón, aunque viajera asidua con gran curiosidad por explorar nuevas culturas y lugares exóticos. Será que visualmente todo me parece tan distinto y nunca dejo de sorprenderme. Estudié Comunicaciones en la Ibero, hice un Diplomado en "Coolhunting and Fashion Trends" en el IED de Barcelona, y acabo de terminar un Master en "Fashion Styling" en Marangoni, UK. Mi mamá era arista nata, y yo estudiada, aunque crecí con mucha sensibilidad por las artes y la belleza. El último año y medio viví en Londres, ciudad que me impactó por ser una plataforma para la creatividad. En Londres, el mundo “underground” de moda, música, bares y zonas no tiene límites para la excentricidad: todo se vale, todos somos "normales". Estando ahí trabajé con diseñadores emergentes y regresé a México con la idea de explotar la creatividad en mi país. México es un lugar lleno de riqueza visual, pero poco trabajada en el ámbito de la moda.

Me considero una fanática de la música, con el tiempo he ido ampliando mis horizontes y hoy escucho música que nunca pensé escuchar, como la clásica. No soportaría más de 10 minutos oyendo “ska”. Guardo cariño por clásicos como The Beatles o The Cure, aunque en mi coche escucho Feist, Kings Of Convenience o James Blake. Mi festival favorito: Glastonbury.

Creo que todo en esta vida es influencia de algo que vivimos, y todo lo que vemos y percibimos influencia a creaciones posteriores. Mis artistas favoritos son Kandinsky y Chagall. Me encanta el trabajo fotográfico de Hedi Slimane en su Fashion Diary. Mis diseñadores consentidos son David Koma y Maison Martin Margiela, y el estilo de Piers Atkinson me parece increíble. Mi color favorito es el negro, mi drink el vino blanco. Tengo una perrita bulldog francés y es lo que más risa me puede dar en la vida. Me encantan los animales. Lo que más uso son jeans, botas de piso. Creo que es básico tener en tu closet ropa cómoda como suéteres y t-shirts. Los peores insultos a la moda me parecen los pants fuera de casa y el pelo peinado como actriz de telenovela. Mi consejo: si te vas a pintar la boca roja no te pintes los ojos mucho. Although I Mexican at heart, I am a frequent traveler. I have great curiosity to explore new cultures and exotic locations. Visually, everything seems different to me, so places never cease to amaze me. I studied Communications at Ibero, a Diploma in "Coolhunting and Fashion Trends" at IED Barcelona, and I just graduated from a Masters degree in "Fashion Styling" in Marangoni, United Kingdom. My mom was a born artist, and I have a bit of her gift; I grew up with great sensitivity for the arts and beauty. The past year and a half I lived in London, a city that struck me as an amazing platform for creativity. In London, the “underground” world of fashion, music and bars has no limits for eccentricity: anything is possible, we are all "normal". During my time there, I worked with emerging designers and returned to Mexico with the idea of exploiting my country’s creativity. I believe Mexico is a place of amazing visual richness, but has been exploited poorly in the fashion world.

I am a huge music fan, and over time I have been expanding my horizons. Today, I listen to music I never thought I would, like classical. I could not bear more than 10 minutes listening to "ska". I am fond of classics like The Beatles or The Cure, although in my car I listen to Feist, Kings of Convenience or James Blake. My favorite festival: Glastonbury.

I think everything in life is influenced by something we lived, and everything we see and perceive today will influence later creations. My favorite artists are Kandinsky and Chagall. I love the photographic work in of Hedi Slimane in Fashion Diary. My dearest designers are David Koma and Maison Martin Margiela, and the incredible style of Piers Atkinson. My favorite color is black, my drink is white wine. I have a French bulldog puppy that makes me laugh more than anything in this world. I love animals. The things I wear the most are jeans and flat boots. I think it's essential to have comfortable clothes like sweaters and t-shirts. The worst insults to fashion are sports trousers worn in the street, and a hairstyle that a soap opera actress would choose. My advice: if you're going to wear red lips, don’t overdo eye makeup.
