It's Walmart's fault the album's not selling. It's Rihanna's fault that she baited him into beating her down to the white meat. How about just take responsibility, learn and move on. Not every project is going to sell 1 million copies and while it sucks he's not the only one it's happened to. H*ll, 50 Cent went from selling 1 mllion copies in a week to just moving a little over 100,000 on this latest project. It happens...and it doensn't mean the project is bad.

R. KELLY TO PEN NEW BOOK

R. Kelly is planning to publish a memoir in 2011.

Kelly's book will be written with celebrity co-author David Ritz and published by SmileyBooks, an imprint run by talk show host Tavis Smiley. Kelly promises to "tell-all" about the loss of his mother, the motivation behind his sexually-charged lyrics and his six-year legal ordeal.

"I'm writing this book as Robert, not R. Kelly," the singer said in a statement. "I'm tired of being misunderstood. I will show you the tears, fears, and sweat. I will open my heart and reveal the good in my life as well as all the drama. I want to tell it like it is."

Kelly joins such other African-American authors as Dr. Cornel West, Henrey Louis Gates, Jr. and Jeff Johnson at Smiley's publishing company.

Kelly's tenth studio album, "Untitled," was released last week and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 114,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

ERYKAY BADU READIES FOR NEW ALBUM

Erykah Badu will release her sixth studio album, "New Amerykah, Part II: Return of the Ankh," on Feb. 23, 2010 on Universal Motown. The 38-year-old Dallas, Texas, born singer says the set is called "Part II" because unlike 2008's more conscious-driven "New Amerykah Part I: 4th World War," she is "more free and full of life" this time around.

"I called it 'Part II: The Return of the Ankh' because this album is the sister of the left side of my brain -- it is the right side," Badu explained during a listening session this week at New York City's Chung King Studios. "'Part I was the left side of my thoughts -- it was more socially political and my thought process was more analytical. This time there wasn't anything to be concerned with -- the album is more emotional and flowy and talks about feelings. It reminds of the days of 'Baduizm' -- this is just about beats and rhymes in a cipher."

TIGER LOSES FIRST MAJOR ENDORSEMENT

Two days after announcing he'll take an indefinite break from the sport of golf to focus on his marriage, Tiger Woods has lost his first major endorsement deal as a result of his alleged infidelities.

Global consulting firm Accenture announced they were cutting all ties with Woods Sunday, confirming he is "no longer the right representative" after the "circumstances of the last two weeks."

Tiger served as pitchman for the last six years, appearing in the company's "Go ahead, be a Tiger" ad campaign.

However, another of Woods' major backers, Nike, is willing to retain him as a spokesman.

"Tiger has been part of Nike for more than a decade. He is the best golfer in the world and one of the greatest athletes of his era. We look forward to his return to golf," the sportswear and equipment supplier tells Usmagazine.com in a statement. "He and his family have Nike's full support."

On Friday, Woods stunned the sports world by announcing he would be taking a break from golf to save his marriage to Swedish supermodel Elin Nordegren. Over the past two weeks, no fewer than 13 women have alleged affairs with Woods, dad to daughter Sam, 2, and son Charlie, 10 months.

"I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children," Woods said in the statement posted on his Web site.

"I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person," he said. "It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try."

TMZ is reporting that three disguised men hit up Nelly’s mansion in St. Louis early Friday morning. They were spotted with a duffle bag full of video games among other things. When witnesses spotted them and asked what they were doing, they booked it out an open window.

Despite her husband's growing list of alleged mistresses, Tiger Woods' wife has decided to stay put.

People magazine, out Friday, reports that Elin Nordegren plans to stay married to Woods for the sake of their children.

According to People, the Swedish model herself is a "child of divorce" whose parents split when she was 6 years old.

“That's not something she’s likely going to want to do to [her children with Woods] Sam and Charlie,” a close friend of Nordegren tells People. “She really believes in the importance of parents staying together.”

Nordegren is not the only one who has her family's best interests in mind. Woods is reportedly genuinely sorry for cheating on his wife (numerous times) and is determined to keep his family together.

“He’s not perfect; we all know that now," a source close to the golfer tells People. "But he’s a good father, and he wants to be a good husband, too.”

The couple wed in 2004 and have two kids -- Sam, 2, and Charlie, 10 months.

Nordegren's friends tell People she knew about Woods' extracurricular activities but that he promised before their marriage that he would change.

"Elin had talked to other golfers and their wives about Tiger's wild parties," a friend told the magazine. "When she asked Tiger about it, he said he would stop doing it. And she believed him. But he never did."

People reports that Woods and Nordegren have had a rocky relationship for the past two years. The duo have allegedly had numerous public arguments in Stockholm, which seemed to explode on Nov. 27 in Florida when Nordegren allegedly attacked Woods with a golf club.

The golfer eventually crashed his car into a hydrant and a tree on his own property.

Though Woods' various mistresses seem to be slowly coming out of the woodwork, Nordegren reportedly was already aware of his various transgressions.

“Tiger has told Elin everything,” a source told People. “Nothing that’s coming out now is a surprise. She knows what he has done, and they’ve had some long talks about it. They are getting everything out in the open.”

Although some sources tell People Nordegren “honestly did not know Tiger was cheating on her,” others say she turned a blind eye to his affairs to maintain her luxurious lifestyle.
However, all of the sources agree that Nordegren is no pushover and intends to keep her family intact.

"Don’t let the pretty blond thing fool you –- she is tough," another source tells People. "She’s a fighter, and I am sure she’s fighting like hell right now, to keep her family intact, but also to make sure Tiger will always be haunted by this.”

GV Says: Now I don't support divorce....but....If my husband's affair list had gone over 9 women - some without protection - it's safe to say it's a wrap. One affair, I can work thru. More than that is simply disrespectful to me and the children. That shows you simply don't care. To me her staying is not a example of staying by your man, it's an example of being a doormat and I'm sorry that her kids will have that as an example. Oh and I hope she gets tested.....

ASHANTI HAS A STALKER

Who knew Ashanti had a stalker....The NY Daily News reports:

Ashanti has a creepy stalker - an Indiana salesman who has bombarded her mother with lewd text messages and gross, X-rated pictures, prosecutors said.

Devar Hurd, 31, is accused of stalking and harassing Tina Douglas with 32 messages between May 29 and July 18 and numerous phone calls in February.

He was arrested July 22 in Griffith, Ind., where he lives, and has been locked up at Rikers Island since.

He pleaded not guilty and faces possible trial in Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday.

The messages he sent were bizarrely personal and often explicit and included sex acts he wanted to perform on the mother and her daughters, court papers say.

"Hey Tina baby, how u doing sexy," read a May 29 message. "Tell Shani I'm coming straight home from work to put in sum overtime. U know how I do, LOL."

He also sent revealing pictures of himself, photos of Douglas' home and a picture of Ashanti's car, the documents said.

"Here's a pic I had laying around for the ladies in sum of my birthday suit lol," read a text sent May 30, court documents charge.

After a particularly crude message, Hurd wrote, "Oh ashanti ashanti ashanti, yes baby woooo."

Ashanti's publicist, Judy Katz, said she had no comment. "The authorities are handling the matter as we speak," she said.

Hurd's mother, Elvira Hurd, said all she knew about the case was that it involved Ashanti and that her son told her "it wasn't true."

"If he, in fact, sent the pictures maybe he was just caught up, like a lot of other young people his age, on the Internet," Hurd, 57, told the Daily News.

"I think it's much to do about nothing."

Hurd said her son - who has a 2001 marijuana bust on his record - is interested in music and talked to her about wanting to work in the music industry.

He earned his living selling cars, time shares and home alarm systems, she said.

She said she did not know if her son knew Ashanti or her family or how he could have gotten Tina Douglas' phone number.

The alleged stalker is charged with 28 misdemeanor counts of stalking and aggravated harassment and faces up to two years in prison if convicted at trial.

The NY Daily News reports that more embarrassing messages that Tiger sent to one of his mistresses surfaced yesterday.

"I know it's brutal on you that you can't be with me all the time," he texted Rachel Uchitel.

"I get it. It f-----g kills me, too. I finally found someone I connect with."

He went on to tell Uchitel how she is "someone I have never found like this. Not even at home."

Oh....and now on to another low:

A spokesman for Playgirl says they have what appear to be nude photos of the Woods and they plan on publishing them if they can confirm they're the real deal.

"We were approached by a third party who wanted to know our 'interest level," Daniel Nardicio claims in several published reports. "Our lawyers are currently going over them, the source, the entire package."

BRYANT GUMBLE DIAGNOSED WITH LUNG CANCER

Former Today show host Bryant Gumbel has lung cancer.

While guest co-hosting Live With Regis & Kelly Tuesday morning, Gumbel , 61, revealed that he had surgery last month to remove a malignant tumor in his chest.

He said that part of his lung was removed, and he will be seeing his surgeon next week.

"We had told a few people, we told my family, obviously. I even kept it from my staff at Real Sports," he said. "So I'm okay for the time being. I'm hoping they greenlight me to play golf again."

VH1 has teamed up with the wives and girlfriends of some of the NBA’s most elite players to give the viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the glamorous life of a professional basketball player’s wife in VH1’s original series, “Basketball Wives.” Production is set to begin on the series in December 2009. The eight-episode 30-minute series is set to premiere on March 15, 2010.

This series is about the insider life of the wives, girlfriends and a few ex-wives of some of the biggest ballers in the game. These ladies live the life. They drive the best cars, live in the biggest mansions, wear designer clothes and jewelry and only travel first class. But living the high life is not all glamour. In order to protect it, they have to deal with the jealousies and dramas of living in — and staying in — the inner circle. They must also keep the groupies at bay while their husbands and boyfriends are traveling on the road for over six months of the year playing ball all-the-while wondering if their spouses are being faithful to them.

Now solo without Nelly, Ashanti has stepped back on the scene. She hit up the Footwear News Achievement Awards

Ashanti introduced Designer of the Year Giuseppe Zanotti, and she took some time out from the evening to dish about her love for the shoe star. “I’ve been infatuated with Giuseppe since my first album. I’m so proud of him,” said the singer. The songstress, who is working on a new album, also recently inked a production deal and is busy at work producing a TV series. “I’m behind the scenes on this one. I might pop up [on the show] here and there, like Diddy or Trump, but I’m mostly behind the scenes,” she joked.

The Tiger drama just won't stop...

There was a frantic 911 call Tuesday morning -- from his wife Elin Nordegren.

Authorities have released audio of the 2:30 a.m. call made by a woman with a Scandinavian accent, believed to be Nordegren, 29. Heard in the background: a crying baby, but no evidence of her husband Woods' presence in the house. (Listen to the call here.)

"Oh my god," she says in the tape. "My mom just collapsed." In the three minute conversation, a 911 operator talks an emotional female caller through the emergency. The caller says that her 57 year-old mother (believed to be Barbro Holmberg) "collapsed in the bathroom."

"She said she collapsed and she fainted ...and she's been down for a while," the caller explains, adding that she heard her mother's fall from elsewhere in the house and rushed to her side.

After the caller puts the phone down to check on her mother, the 911 operator seems to successfully calm her down. "I think we're fine," the caller says, telling the operator that the paramedics don't need to come after all. "It's not urgent," she says as the conversation winds down.

The operator notes that they'd prefer to visit and make sure that the situation is under control.

Earlier Tuesday, it was confirmed that Holmberg, 57, was in stable condition after being rushed to the hospital early Tuesday morning. A spokesperson said she is recovering nicely back at her daughter and son-in-law's home.

Beyonce cut no corners for her husband Jay-Z’s 40th birthday party at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. The bash was star-studded and included a password only entry. Meaning it was like Fort Knox to get in that piece.

The 60-odd guests at the ’20s-themed fete included Kanye West and girlfriend Amber Rose, Sean Combs and Kim Porter (sidebar, they reported Kim as Diddy's girlfriend… when did that happen), Alex Rodriguez and Kate Hudson, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, Warner Music chief Lyor Cohen and designer Tory Burch, plus DJ Cassidy, who DJ’d for the party. Diddy gave a toast and Jay-Z’s friends also put together a video saying how much they love him. The festivities featured synchronized swimmers, fireworks and an impromptu performance of “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z and Keys. Sources say the whole thing lasted until 5 a.m. the next day.

Beyoncé capped the celebration off with a lobster surf-and-truf for guests at the luxury villa where she and Jay-Z were staying. Sounds like good times. No photos were allowed so no pics could be leaked but how did that photo of Kanye, Lyor and Tory get out
