Of Prenup Shoots

2011-02-28T09:08:00.001+08:00

Prenup photo shoots these days have gone from being just the classic posing in the park, holding hands while walking lovey dovey stuff to outrageous out of the box thematic shoots.

Just yesterday, a friend of mine was asking me where they can get matching nursing scrubs (she and her husband to be met in nursing school). I was about to ask her why when she told me that they needed it for their prenup shoot. how creative is that, huh? now how they're gonna pull shooting in a hospital, i dont know. hahaha. :D

Anyway I told her to first search the web for cheap scrubs. At this day and age, we can practically buy anything off the internet, especially now when Nursins is still all the rage here in the Philippines. Nursing uniforms practically show up anywhere and it's amazing the wide range of choices nurses have nowadays.

As for us, we went the classic route but had the shoot in an unlikely place: a cemetery. more on that on a future post. for the meantime, let me share some of our own photos by the ever talented Richard Buan. :)

Money Matters

2011-02-26T13:22:00.000+08:00

I hate to say it cause it sucks the whole romantic aspect of getting married, but let’s all be honest here: money IS an important aspect when planning for a wedding.

I have always been proud of the fact that the husband and I paid for our own wedding. That’s basically why it took us more than a year to plan. We had to scrimp and save every cent we made just to come up with the money to pay for the wedding. I remember I had all sorts of worksheets and lists telling me how much we saved, etc and I must admit admit I obsessed over them for months.

My biggest fear (aside from tripping down the aisle) was not having enough money to pay for the wedding. I didnt want to wake up two weeks before the big day and realize that oh my gosh, we’re short on cash. Yikes! That was like one of my worst nightmares ever!

I probably freaked out about once a month, then the husband would patiently assure me that of course we’ll have enough, yada yada yada. Still I could not be consoled. I’d go on and on about saving and money and worksheets and though I’m ashamed to admit it, but I actually would piss myself off everytime I’m at my wits end worrying about the funds. Only when he would remind me that if we really find ourselves in a bind, there’s always sites like urgentcashloan.com that bails people out of their cash emergencies, that I would actually begin to calm down.

Thankfully, we survived my crazy worries and nope I didnt drive the husband crazy. haha. But still I am grateful that there are companies like urgentcashloan.com out there. Just the idea that they are there to help us if in case we’d find ourselves in a rut, calmed my nerves. Well most of the time anyway. LOL. :D
