A great recipe to make in the slow cooker. Let it simmer all down and let the troops feed themselves as they come in the door. Good for busy days when everyone has their own schedule. Meadow Mushrooms are one of the most flavorful and plentiful mushrooms and yet few people know what they are trampling over in their pastures and meadows. If you enjoy Chanterelle, Morel and King Boletus mushrooms you are sure to find the Meadow Mushroom equally pleasing.

The best homemade Cream of Mushroom Soup I ever made used Meadow Mushrooms to bring out the creamiest mushroom flavor ever. Very rich, strong flavor. You don't need too many to cook up a meal and they can be used in main dishes, rice, pastas, goulashes and other recipes. Slice them up for fresh, tossed salads as well. Delicious!

Discover the Meadow Mushroom by learning where, when and how to identify them.
