Hello I'm back!

Been wanting to go back to blogging so that my English can be maintain or improve and also to journal down my thoughts.

It has been 5 years since I last blogged.

Time passes quickly.

A quick update:
1. I got my ChFC after 5 years of studying. Yay!
All my 9 modules are 90% SDF Grants. Really thank you for the grant, so the whole course maybe cost around $3000. Although I failed 3 papers in between but I still manage to pass in the end for the retake. So proud of myself.

2. I got proposed last year on my birthday 13 March 2017 in Malacca or should I say I finally say yes! Haha! ;)

3. Our house at Marsiling is coming in the 3rd quarter. Excited. Waited for 4 years already.
4. We will have our ROM first on 28 July 2018.
As it is a weekend/Saturday, the venue needs to be outside. Oh gosh! Headache. Lots of things need to settle.
5. Our Chinese Banquet most slightly (if any) would be on 28 July 2019.

Been into losing weight these 2 weeks.
Oh ya, I signed up London Weight Management Program like 5 years ago. 5 years ago when I joined the program, I was 56kg. I went for like 2 to 3 sessions then I stopped going as everytime I go, the consultant would ask me to purchase something. A couple of thousands dollars went into this already. Also my heart was not into losing weight.

Finally after 4 years of disappearance, my consultant, Gina, I think she was the 3rd and the longest who has contacted me. I went for treatment last year. My weight was 60kg. Omg! You know weight for a woman is very personal, but since I'm willing to share. I wish I can get support from my losing weight journey. Again, Gina tried to sell me something, this time is the London Weight Coffee. She said since I seldom go for the treatment, the coffee can help in my metabolism and weight management. After much persuasion from her, I gave in and got 6 boxes of coffee. I brought home 2 boxes. I didn't go for any treatment after that last year. She did contact me after that to set appointment but I don't really have the heart and time to do so. I faithfully drank my 30 sachets of coffee daily.

Finally 2 weeks ago on the 18 March 2018, I went for the treatment again after a year.
This time round, I am determined to lose weight, become healthy.

Being in this industry, heard of many cases of deaths & illnesses. Just recently, my colleague shared with us about her client in her late 20s diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. Is around my age. When I heard the story, I was shocked. And there is no sign or symptoms for this illness, she was just feeling bloated and thought is just stomachache or something. So went to see a doctor. When diagnosed, it was already stage 4. I imagined myself that I would have that possibility of having such illness as well. How scary!

3 years ago, my paternal grandfather passed away at the age of 86. He was undergoing kidney dialysis for the last 6 years. Years before he needed kidney dialysis, he had undergo a heart bypass surgery. Is quite a major surgery for his age. He still looked healthy and robust. However, at age 80, he got heart attack again. And because of his strong medications, it affects the kidneys leading him needing kidney dialysis. He went on for kidney dialysis for 6 years before he passed on.

Just last year, a couple weeks after the Chinese New Year, a relative of ours passed on due to heart attack. It came as a shock to us. As during Chinese New Year, he was there playing mahjong happily. Then a couple weeks after Chinese New Year, heard he had a heart attack and not long after, passed away.

This year, also a couple of weeks after Chinese New Year, a great auntie passed away. During CNY, she was already on wheel chair. She was weak, but still able to eat on her own and look fine. But shortly after the CNY, heard the new she passed away. We attended the wake in Johor.

A couple of weeks later, my dad's youngest brother passed away in Australia. He was in Australia most of his life. Even before I was born, he was already there. I didn't seen him before. My mum said he only seen him once. He was only 58 and he had skin cancer stage 4. Many said he was too young.

I have another uncle, he also had skin cancer but thankfully, he had recovered from it.

So life is unpredictable, stay healthy and live life to the fullest daily.
So back to the London Weight Management Treatment.

I book this treatment via Gina. However, on that day, I was assigned to another consultant, Stephanie. So what happened to Gina? Maybe she quit or change to another branch, I didn't ask. My weight is still 60kg. Thank God, it didn't go beyond 60kg. But it didn't go down either. I was asked to do the machine first to stimulate my lymph nodes. So one of the lymph nodes is near my groin area, I was having cramps for the past few days, think my menses is coming. So that area is stimulated so is kind of painful. But it is still bearable for me. After that, was the stream bath, something like sauna. As there were a couple of other customers, so the other doors were open and close many times during the time I was doing the stream bath, so the hot air escaped. Still manage to sweat quite a bit I guess. Finally I was bought to another room, I was rubbed with lavender salt and then wrapped in a device that sort of generate heat. More sweating there and my heart rates increased. My face reddened. This sort of simulate doing exercises just that you need not physically move your body.

After that, I went for a shower. Weigh myself and my weight is 59.2kg. Lose 800g from this treatment. Again, this new consultant, Stephanie, tried to sign me another program which is detox my lymph nodes. She is not very pushy also because she got other customers to attend to. I understand they need to keep selling and I kind of tempted but I don't wish to spend more money on this. She shared with me what should I eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner and what time should I eat. So basically, eat light and soupy meals, don't drink the soup as most have high salt content. Dinner should not have carbohydrates and should be taken before 8pm. I brought home one box of 15 sachets coffee.

My next schedule treatment by right should be the following week but I was having my menses.

So my next treatment is on 1 April 2018. During these two weeks, I again faithfully drink the coffee daily. Tried to eat light. I tried intermittent fasting also. Like I planned to eat my 3 meals within 8 hours and fast for 16 hours. Research showed that fats are burned in your body when you fast, the longer you fast, the more fats you burn. You can drink water when you fast. But I think I ended eating more as I worried I might be hungry during the fast and also can't last for 16 hours. So I think I gave up at the 2nd or 3rd day. Oops. I also tried to do some workouts, climb stairs and jog.

On my next treatment on 1 April 2018. My weight was 58.8kg. I lost 400g these 2 weeks. After the treatment my weight was 58.2kg. Lost 600g. Again I brought home one box of 15 sachets of coffee. My next treatment is on 15 April which is 2 weeks later.

One week has passed after my treatment. I think I ate lesser, probably one to two meals a day. Sometimes heavy meal, sometimes light meals. Drank coffee at the start of the day. Realized our body doesn't require much food.

Youtube has lots of workout videos which you can follow and do at the same time. This is the one I'm following now and do them once in while. You can do it at home. It is so easy.

It is March already!
And I'm turning 24 in like less than 2 weeks time and guess what I don't feel like I'm 24 when I already spent a quarter of my life...

Still childish, innocent, immature...

If someone is to ask me for my age, I seriously forgot or can't remember how old I am. Anyone got there face this problem?

A recap of my 2012. There were up and downs in my life. Be it good or bad. Is a journey. My career has been picking up I guess but not to my satiation and expectation. I think I could do more or better if not for my laziness and complacency. Keep trying & never give up! Of course there were down times where getting scolded and stressed by boss and family members. But all in all manage to pull through and survived. So keep trying and never give up!!!

I have a boyfriend. Ya, is uncle Law. I don't call him uncle anymore as he doesn't like it. We have been dating for coming 8 months coming march 13 on my birthday. Well, just feel kind of strange of how we met and how things seemed to work out. I think most of my close friends know how I met this person. But I want to say it anyway.

We met in a social web which I can't even remember the name like seriously. How I get to know this social web is through Pauline. I remember that time I said I wanted to have a boyfriend, want to get marry and have kids. Well, I think differently now I guess but that's another story. So she invited me to this social web. I was pretty relunctant at first. Then I thought maybe I could make some friends or they can become my business clients. So I talked via msn to many difficult guys. Some are like brothers, some are really desperate some just totally wanted to avoid. But there is this one guy, it feels like we knew each others for years, we could talk anything under the sun and he is just different from the rest. It is like you met a lot of insurance agents and they feel like they are trying to squeeze your money but there is just this person who is concern for your welfare and cares for you.

He said that our first conversation is when I said hi and he saw the msn when he got back from his jog. And we talk about Panadol He said he still have the saved conversations on his desktop. I remember we have this conversation but I don't remember it is our first conversation. Maybe I mixed him up with some other people. Haha!

And we talked for quite some time on msn and he asked me out. And I agreed. Pauline said he posted on his fb stating he is happy. Maybe it was just coincidental. We met on the train, we went to watch a movie followed by Japanese food. Nothing spectacular happens, just feel super awkward as we could talk freely over msn but face to face, we always have this awkward silence in the air. My first impression of him was he is a shy and nice guy.

Never would I imagine he would or could be my boyfriend. Because he is not my type.

We met weekly or fortnightly after that and we talk almost everyday via MSN.

There were times he stepped the line of friend zone. So I asked around my friends and I concluded that wait and see. 顺其自然. Time passed and my feelings become confused. I consulted my close friends again and they said that he definitely likes me but me? I'm not sure. He is a nice guy and all but... I'm confused... One of my close friends said to me if one day, he says he likes me what would be my reply. She shared about her experience and all. So I thought through...

After much thoughts, I know what would be my reply.

Then one fine night, he sent me home and said if we could go to the rooftop garden at my block. I smelt something fishy already. He seemed usually weird and nervous. I distracted him by asking him to play angry bird on my phone. Time passed fast and it was like 11 p.m. already. He finally said he likes me. You know in movies or dramas, it would be pretty romantic but in my case I don't really have the romantic. I think my reaction is super dull. After his much digging for my reply, we went up the highest floor in the building where Singapore Flyer could be seen from afar. I knew what would be my reply but I don't know why I just don't want to tell him right there and right then. After much, we concluded to have my reply another day.

I didn't sleep well or didn't sleep the whole night. I needed to think it through again I guess though I knew what was going to be my reply to him.

I text him the next day and told him my reply. There, that's how we came together.

I once asked him if he did attempt to pop out the question. He said didn't. But many a times, I feel he wanted to. But all in all, we are together now.

Been 8 months, not very long but I guess is not that short too. We didn't quarrel did we? But we have unhappy or upset moments at times I guess. But still, we are together. I guess we love each other too much already. Haha! I believe we could pass through thin and thick! Ganbatte!

He is away from sailing and would be away for a week. So used to having him around. Without him feels kind of weird. I miss you! :)

These mark the end of my 2012 and 2013 came and two months have passed.

March is the month of my birthday and March also marks my 2 years in my career in the financial industry also marks the end of my contract.

This is a tough business. Quitting has always been on my mind. But what holds on to me these 2 years is my clients, how could I let my clients down. My 2 years contract. Myself, how could I quit? Winners never quit and quitters never win.

Now 2 years... What holds on would be the light to see the brighter future, I wish to buy car, house, have kids and my kids have proper education... my hundred over clients, how could I let them down when they put their trust on me to manage their finances... my family... I want to allow my parents to retire as early as possible... My lifestyle... wish to travel around the world...

So all in all... Want to thank you each and every one of you who have supported or encouraged me in any way. And hope you could support me more in anyway you can. Ha ha!

2013 would be a much eventful, joyful and meaningful to me and each and everyone of you!

It has been a long time since I updated. I can see that my blog is filled with spider webs and dust.

But anyway, today seemed like an up and down moments for me.

I had some thoughts and I guess I wish to share them here.

I was having my lunch time at Newton Circus Food Centre. I ordered avocado and it costs $3. It was pretty expensive for a non air-conditioned place or hawker centre. It is the price from the shopping centre. Okay, the cup is slightly bigger. But I bought similar size from AMK hawker centre, the one near to the market, near to the KBOX, at $2.50. And the avocado is superb! Those who like fruit juice can go patronize that shop. The shop name is CEBREAKER. The boss is also very friendly. They actually have another branch at Clementi. They got this card, buy how many cups of fruit juice got one free cup that kind of stuff. But anyway, I love avocado. That was one of the best I have drank so far. ( The best is homemade by myself! :] )

Other than avocado fruit juice, I order sliced fish with Mee Sua. It costs $5. I was pretty shocked to be that expensive. So it costed me $8 for a meal. That was rather expensive. Imagine I can have a Mc Donald's meal at $4.50 with a burger, fries and drink with air-con. Or even my favourite Subway for a $5 meal if they still having this promotion for a sub and a drink.

So the bottom line is that:
Is the cost of food in hawker centres rising? Or it is just Newton Food Centre is expensive?

While I was eating, there was this family of threes sitting beside my next table. I can sense from the tone of the wife, I can feel her anger and frustration but she was trying to control it. After ordering the food and came, the wife was eating some soup meal and the husband was talking to her some other stuffs. She lost her patient and accidentally spilled some soup onto the daughter (age around 4)'s hand. She tried to put some ice on the daughter's hand as the daughter was having ice at that moment and in the meantime quarreling with her husband. She also apologized to her daughter many times. The daughter started crying.

You guess what I'm thinking. Would you if you are single or married with kids or whatsoever, would you quarrel with your partner in front of your kids? I think is a very bad childhood memories for them.

You know what is my second thoughts? Why would you marry this person in the first person if you are so pissed with this person?

Someone told me that in courtships, the other person would always shows his or her best self. And we are blinded as always. But as time goes, you would realize the bits and pieces you feel pissed about him or her.

I'm not very experienced. So ya, but just wondered what if such things happened to me if I ever find a boyfriend, get married and have kids, what would I response?

Anyway, just some thoughts.

I was angry and disappointed as well.
I feel betrayed. I think I told two of my close friends regarding this. I don't wish to share it here because it made me feel like I bad mouthed someone. But anyway, probably I need to do some reflections on myself as well.

And thanks for the advises given by my two friends. And I love this code: The only difference between a good day and a bad day is your attitude!

It is not someone else or something else that spoiled your mood, is how you want to look at it.

If someone angered you, and you are angry, eh-huh! You fell for it!

So think positively and smile brightly everyday! You don't know which prince charming would fall for that smile. Ha ha!

On a brighter note.

I opened a new big case. And tomorrow is the first appointment. Pray hard for me that I can get and close the case. Pray for me!

13/12/2011- Our breakfast!

After a heavy breakfast, time for some exercise!

Notice we are wearing sunglasses because the sun is really scorning! (did I use the word correctly?)

This is like the mascots of Jeju. If you touch these, you would be blessed with lots of kids.

We are walking on these left overs of lava. It has been smoothed for easier walking by tourists.

This supposed to look like something. If I remember correctly is supposed to look like a face. But it doesn't seem to me look like anything.

Finally we reached the top! :)

Next, the guide brought us to an orange farm.

Look carefully! Some of the oranges are fake!

I don't really like the oranges in Korea because it tasted sour!

So we bought back orange crackers and chocolate instead.

After that, we were bought to understand more of the history of Jeju Island.
So most of the work were done by the females in fact all of the work were done by the females instead of the males in the past. Like taking care of the kids, household chores like making kimchi etc.

The basket was for the male babies so that their mum can actually rock the babies to sleep. While the daughters if I remember correctly is sleep on the floor or something. The big jars is used to keep kimchi and normally is buried underground to keep them warm and moist. The white straps are carrying things, the females have to carry it to do the chores. So what the males do? Act like a king will do. Like seriously?

This is my cute little cousin, okay he is not little anymore. He is like 14 already. And he is wearing my sunglasses! Isn't he look like Khalil Fong?!

I like guys with nerdy spectacles. I wonder when did I have that weird habit. Don't you think guys with nerdy spectacles look super cute? Okay, that have to be depend what type of guys. Haha!

Wishing rock! It is made of lava rocks and it is belief that when you touched it and pray, your wishes would come true!

Another famous product of Korea is honey! And they are selling house bones for the calcium too!

14/12/2011- Breakfast in hotel!

Then we were brought to this mysterious road!

Then we tried on Korean costumes! But again photos are not with me, facebook has the photos if you want to look at my pretty face. Ha ha!

Finally, our final destination was to climb a small hill to take a nice and final look at the beautiful and clear sky!

11/12/2011- We had porridge for breakfast!

That is the name of the porridge shop!

After that we went to THE FACE SHOP which is opposite the porridge shop. This place is really a good place for tour guides to kill 2 birds in a place to earn big fat commission.

I had quite a bit of shopping the day before so this is not much of an attraction for me, but I realized the local tour guide trying to keep an eye on me. I think for fear I may be lost again. For goodness sake, once bitten, twice shy, so I would be aware of my directions from then on.

After that we went to a place that sells ginseng. Korea is famous for their ginseng. From what I recall from the introduction that ginseng from China is heat-y, whereas ginseng from Japan is han ( means cold). So ginseng from Korea is best because is neutral. They actually showed us some molecular structures to differentiate. Correct me if I recall the facts wrongly.

That is my cousin! Isn't she gorgeous?

But anyway, the ginseng is too expensive. I can't remember the price, is like hundreds USD, way out of my budget already. I intend to buy for my dad though. He requested for it. So I bought ginseng snacks and sweets as substitutes.

After that, we went for Korean buffet for lunch!

After that we head off to make our ice cup and to take a tour at the ice gallery.

We went for a short shopping after that. We were pretty tired of shopping although this is like the final shopping we got to spend our Won. Everywhere we go is skin care/ cosmetics shops like seriously. And the weather was freaking cold!

This biscuit was handmade by the granny. It was freaking sweet but I love heart shape so I just bought it, what to do.

Following that, we headed off to our steamboat dinner!

Then finally the highlight of the day!

It is really entertaining, full of laughs and actions and my cousin actually was being asked to go up the stage to perform! It was engaging! Yea, very engaging indeed!

After watching an exciting and entertaining show, we headed back to our hotel. We went to walk around a bit though.

12/12/2011, we had the same porridge for breakfast as well then we headed off to SPA!

I was too busy playing with the SPA more over, the camera may spoil if we bring it in. Ha ha! Goggles and cap are must. We are given a locker key that can be worn like a watch so that we won't lose our keys easily. And we just need to scan the key to the locker and is opened automatically! And the locker is big! How I wish Singapore swimming pools have that too! Like seriously!

It has different types of SPA with various temperatures ranging from indoors to outdoors. Obviously I prefer to stay indoor because outdoor is like freaking cold!

I have a cultural shock although the tour guide did warn us. The bath rooms in the SPA are open areas meaning to say no doors. Koreans are really open-minded, they dare to show their bodies. So I saw naked bodies walking around the bath rooms. And the doors of the lady bath rooms are transparent so to mean the males may accidentally walked into the females bath rooms like seriously.

Whereas for Singapore, we are pretty reserved I guess. Probably that's one of the many factors I like about travelling to learn about the different cultures in the countries.

After that we went to board an internal flight to Jeju Island!

After which we headed to our hotel. The hotel is pretty cui/ below standard as compared to the earlier two.

Korea's shopping centers are good! They have plain water for shoppers! And the water is really clean and refreshing!

After which, we headed off to our dinner at Tao Yuan, it is a Chinese restaurant!

It is still an okay restaurant. It is not that fantastic as compared to the real Chinese restaurant but the fact that we had not been eating Chinese food and had craving for it, we finished our food! Ha ha!

We went to walk around after that!

I tell you, Korea is famous for the oranges but their oranges are like super sour. Anyway, I'm not a fan for orange.

I am disappointed with HP services.

I sent my laptop for a service as it had some problems. And together with my charger as well because the charger may have problem as well.

But they delivered my laptop without my charger. I was like what is this?

Totally disappointed. So how am I going to use my laptop?

Happy New Year! My first post for the year!

Okay, I have been back for like for 3 weeks already and have been having lots of fun celebrating for Christmas & New Year. And now I'm back to work like officially. Seem kind of not use to it but fight for the new year! Before I think of my new year resolutions which I haven't done so, maybe I do some recap of my trip to Korea & Shanghai and my last few weeks!

On 7 Dec 2011, at around 9.30pm, we reached Changi Airport Terminal 3.

We had a flight transition at China Airport.

After taking two "roller coaster rides" on this China Eastern planes, we finally touched down in Korea during lunch time the following day which is 8 Dec 2011 and had our first meal there!

First meal is BBQ pork. Is like make my whole clothes stink probably because I did most of the BBQ-ing. Overall, it tasted not too bad as the meat is well-marinated.

We saw some souvenirs at the restaurant. I did not buy as I was told that they were more expensive. But anyway, I didn't buy back any souvenirs in the end.

Yap, we need to use these to lay on the floor and sleep. & the floor has hot water running underneath so it sort of act like a heater in this cool weather. I quite like this as it is clean and warm. But my mum doesn't really like as she had backache the next day.

We had breakfast at the hotel & the breakfast the hotel provided is pretty decent.

We spent the whole day at this ski resort which in my opinion is super boring. Firstly, there is no experienced coach to teach us as most of us are like beginners like me. Secondly, only a small area is provided to us and I got seriously bored after that. Third, the shoes are seriously heavy. Damn them! Fourth, it became pretty cold after that.

That is me in the freaking pinky ski clothings. Like seriously, totally not my style.

10 Dec 2011, the next day, we had the same breakfast at the hotel.

We headed off to the theme park, Lotte World.

We had only like two hours in the theme park. It was a Saturday and the theme park was super crowded like seriously. Some sort the same as Singapore USS, I mean the crowd. Obviously Lotte World has many more rides. They have indoor and outdoor ones as well. We didn't manage to take any rides as it takes at least an hour to queue for a ride. So ya, me, my mum & my aunt went to see shows, some shows are like in Korean so I just sit there and take photos and relax. We went to look at museums as well.

Finally it is time for us to meet the group but we had difficulty of finding the meeting place and we asked for directions from the Korean stuffs there. But they are not well-versed in communicating English and Chinese. And kept giving the wrong directions to us. And I was separated from my mum and my auntie while I was trying to look at the map. We looked for the direction for like more than 1hour. When I finally found the meeting place, I only saw my mum, our Singapore tour Guide and my auntie came back from looking for me. The rest of the people in the tour including my uncle and two of my cousins already left for the next destination. I was like nice one. But it is a good lost I think as we have 4 hours of shopping in Dong Da Mun! Guess where they went? They were struck in the jam for like 1 hour to 2 hours. They supposed to have a proper facial and guess what. The stuffs were too busy packing home and they asked the tour people please take off their masks themselves. When I heard the story I was kind of surprised and laughing at the same time. Like seriously? They went to factory outlet! And had Ginseng Chicken for dinner. My uncle said we didn't miss much and we had a good "lost."

I finally get to watch You are the Apple of my Eye!

It is a nice show. It brings back lots of memories when I was a teenage. I'm still young now okay. It just reminds me of how childish and how vulgar the boys are. I don't remember seeing anyone masturbate in class though. Ha ha! They did say about it if I remembered correctly.

Anyway, the show kind of resembles our lives. Like knew a couple of good friends in a school then graduation came. It was kind of exciting to move on in a new chapter in life. However, old friends starts to move away slowly though some still stayed in contact.

I still kind of upset of the ending. All in all, it is a great movie. :)

The other movie that I watched this week is Puss in Boots.

It is a funny and interesting movie. If you are feeling sad or feeling down, it is a good watch! I kind of like the story line with a little of twist in between.

We celebrated Uncle's & Grandma's birthday at De Beer Seafood Restaurant last Sunday & a BBQ yesterday! Lot of food and cakes. Fattening! Time for exercising into schedule!

Chocolate Log Cake!

Rainnie came to Singapore a while for her convocation. We met her for dinner on Monday as she went back on Wednesday. We ate at this Uncle Leong Seafood Restaurant at Toa Payoh Lorong 8. It is in a industrial area. The butter crab is nice. My uncle knows how to cook them too! Ha ha! The price is quite steep though. The food is great overall especially the butter crab.

I baked chocolate muffins again! :)

I first ate these is in Popeyes. Buttery taste, very nice. Then I ate at Texas Chicken. I think the biscuit tasted better as compared to Popeyes. It is still moist on the inside, still not too dry. Really wanted to make them. Ha ha! :)

I watched In Time. Wanted to watch You are the Apple of my Eyes but left only the first two rows. I really had bad experience watching the first few rows so no thanks. I paid for the movie I deserve a better seat. Okay fine, I didn't pay for the movie this time round.

It is still an okay movie I would say. Although I kind of like the thriller and wanted to watch it. It is just using time for currency just like real life. And the people life span is in accordance to the time indicated on everyone's hand as you can see the green code on the male actor. It can go up to thousands even. People buy things with time and instead of getting pay, they got time. And time is transferable. Once the time is up, this is the end of a life.

Interesting yet unrealistic. There are parts that are exciting whereby a few seconds the actors are going to die and my brain is guessing is he or she going to die. At least not a boring show. I kept thinking is a good thing as well. Because need not worry that forget to bring wallet out. Just use the time. But time could be stolen and it is dangerous! Ha ha!

Apologies for the disappearance!

I didn't post for like 2 weeks already! That is like record breaking!

These 2 weeks I been to like 2 church events. I'm not a Christian but I respect all religions.

One is my cousin's BBQ. We played games like concentration, murderer, monopoly deal while waiting for the food to be ready. A lot of people but I don't think the food is enough for everybody. I ate a little. I made a couple of new friends. They are really nice and friendly people. What impressed me is that we watched this movie after everything named Temple Grandin.

The movie depicts the true story of Temple Grandin who is a woman with autism. Austim is a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and communication and by restricted and repetitive behavior. These signs all begin before a child is 3 years old. Sometimes I wonder if I ever had autism before as I'm totally so anti-social at times and don't want to communicate with people. I hate to explain myself because if you trust me, you don't need to question me, just be there for me and support me. Okay, kind of out of point. Back to the story.

She had a good science teacher back in high school. She is very interested in Science and solved all problems that the Science teacher posted to her despite all the bullies from her schoolmates. She eventually developed an interest for cattle when she works at her auntie's cattle farm. She is known for developing a hug device to calm herself. There were a lot of commotions about this device that she had developed. She later had a room mate who is blind and eventually become close friend. Despite many challenges and bullies, she rebuilds a new dip and alters a slaughterhouse for cows that is more human. She got support from her family and friends along the way and changed to be able to communicate.

I really felt touched. Because as an autistic, she is still able to preserver and overcome all challenges. While me, a normal person who gave up easily whenever I met with challenges. And I'm really envy her that she found or knew what she wanted in life but till now I'm still don't know what I really like. It is a really worth to watch movie! Watch to get inspired. I cried in the movie with people I just know for barely half a day so you can imagine how touching it is.

Next Church event is a service by City Harvest in Suntec. That day, Suntec was totally crowded, there were Cosplay & this IT fair as well. Okay, out of point again. The service hall was almost filled with people. The speaker is pastor John Bevere. He is not bad looking ang mo and his 4 sons are damn good-looking too from the photo he showed us. Okay, out of point!!

His topic for the session is about adversity and hardship. What is our reactions when we are faced with adversity or hardship? Is like we are so negative, depressed and demoralized and can't believe it that why is it happening to ourselves.

What do we know about adversity? Firstly, we need to know that adversity WILL happen and be ready to face it. Secondly, face all adversity positively. Thirdly, we will have the strength to overcome the adversity and move up to a higher level. Finally, be Relentless means be unstoppable and don't give up to all adversity!

He just published a book named Relentless talking about adversity.

I went to Ramen Champion for the 3rd time. This time with Uncle Law.

The noodles and the soup are separated. The noodles are to dip into the soup. If I'm not wrong it is called Tetsu. The noodles is not bad. The noodles is cold and the soup is warm. The soup is a little too salty. I like the meat! Although it is a little too salty as well for some.

A day out on a Sunday!

Finally Fiona and Jing Yi met after so long! Oh ya, Billy Yang came along too. We went to Medz at Ochard Central.

Rosti! I personally think Marche one is still nicer! Though Marche is much more expensive! It is kind of wet.

Chicken! Okay, not too bad.

To conclude, the food is not as fantastic as I think it would be. Other than the rosti, the rest is not that cheap. Take for example the mug root beer cost S$2.80. Like seriously. Marche like S$3 plus and it is nicer root beer. And the ice cream, one scoop of ice cream cost S$4.50. It doesn't look like a fantastic ice cream, just a normal ice cream from tub. In the same building, I think I mentioned before, there is this Cold Stone selling ice cream, just a few dollars more, can have a more decent ice cream. Other than the mushroom that is the best, the rest are still quite okay. So I guess, no more Medz in the future.

We saw this shop at Centre Point. It is a designer cake shop! It is so beautiful that you don't even she de to eat the cake!

Chef Tony's that sell popcorn.

Uncle Law mentioned that this is the best popcorn he ever eat as compared to Garrett. I think he kind of exaggerate. It is not bad. Just different style. Like Chef Tony has more favors and lighter in the taste and the caramel is not as churchy as compared to Garrett. The Mocha-chino is pretty nice. I bought the country cheddar, cheese favor as I love cheese. Taste like cheese balls. Ha ha! If I'm not wrong, their popcorn is imported from US and they don't have a specific shop. They would have push cart shops set around the island. Each push cart would last for a few days I guess.

The other day, a stranger approached me and he was so charming and so good at convincing that I didn't even think of rejecting him. So I bought a voucher for S$30. After buying it, I don't think it is really worth it. Damn it. It is a 1-to-1 lunch and dinner voucher at big O. Only valid at Wheelock Place. So anyone interested in big O, come find me okay. We shall eat together. Ha ha!

I seriously think that my readers only left with Shang Yi & Mad, my loyal readers. Ha ha! Mad didn't say what she wants to read. But Shangz mentioned that she wants to know what is going on in her friends' life. So here I am updating about my interesting life. Ha ha!

Where did I last stop?

Oh, last last Saturday, I went to meet Mad & Shangz for breakfast at Long John Silver. I was late once again. Of all place Long John Silver. I wasn't in a really good mood. Sleepy. Like seriously come all the way from my house to have Long John Silver. Like have some local delicacies I don't really mind. But I guess it is very hot outside and the food court in Junction 8 is not very good I guess. It is the company that counts after all.

On last last Sunday, I went cycling with uncle Law. On our way home, we dropped by this airport road coffee shop to have noodles. Trust me, there are lots of choices, you are spoiled for choices. I wanted to take away the bean curb, got 2 stalls there very nice that I have heard of. But after I have finished eating, both of them were closed. Like seriously? And only re-opened after 5.30pm. The time was 3pm when we finished eating. Damn it. I still haven't got the chance to eat the bean curb there! Totally sianz. It was a fun day! :)

Then last Saturday, I was super bored. Probably due to the fact that someone is away from Singapore to entertain me. I think I tried to date out all my possible friends? And finally, Pauline agreed to go out with me. She wanted to buy a scarf at H&M. So there we go and she bought a pink scarf which suits her skin color I think. Like I mentioned before if I ever mentioned, H&M currently the clothes are more towards winter clothes. I wasn't that interested when I first stepped into it. But now that I'm going to Korea in Dec I need a few winter clothing I guess. So one winter jacket cost around S$70 plus. Does it worth it? I have no idea as I never bought before. Someone please advise. But I think H&M is still relatively cheaper as compared to brands like Dorothy Perkins & Zara. The winter jacket in Zara I saw is like S$100 over close to S$200 that kind.

Following that, I think I am so crazy that I followed Pauline home just to have the bean curb near her house. It is the F & B if I remembered correctly. Shangz came along and crap with us. They both teased me. Fine.

One of the weekdays, I made almond jellies! I think I put too much almond essence, the almond smell is seriously strong when eaten. But anyway, it was gone last Sunday after the family gathering at my house. My mum cooked pig's trotter vinegar. One of the favorite dishes with my mum & her family.

Sunday, my secondary school friends went to Medz @ Ochard Central. It is similar to Marche but cheaper. I didn't join them for dinner though. I was so tired the whole day that I slept almost my whole day and have piercing pain in one part of my body that I complained to my mum several times. I didn't even bother entertaining my family members when they came my house, I just slept. Like seriously. Okay, at least I made it to their photo taking session. You may want to see the photos in Facebook with lots of comments. Ha ha!

Shangz bought me a packet of caramelcrisps popcorn from Garrett. There is still some in my fridge. I can't believe that it can be kept for so long. It is still crunchy and sweet. Can't really eat much at one go as there a "ni " (4) feeling. Means the taste can become sick after a while. Thanks Shangz for brightening up my day. :)

On Deepavali, went out for lunch with my University friends at Great World City.

This is the egg omelette that Charmaine had ordered. The looks doesn't look appealing so we compared that we can do better that. But after trying it, the taste is not bad. This egg omelette costs S$12 btw.

This is the pancake that ordered by Vera. I didn't try it. But should be not bad. It is not very filling I guess as she was hungry after a while and we accompanied her to eat fried hokkien mee after that.

The rest of us ordered Big Breakfast that comes with bread and egg (fried/ poached) , bacon , sausages, hashed brown, tomato and mushrooms. I think is not bad. This cost S$17. Seriously, expensive. But is good, especially the mushroom.

This is the one I ordered. with poached eggs. I love the eggs. It is still running. I don't like cooked ones. Ha ha!

Went to shop after that... Went to Forever 21. Florence got a coupon of 20% discount. Florence and Vera each bought a pair of shoes. They said I lure them to buy. Like seriously? Shoes are never a lot. Opps. It is time to tidy and clear the shoe cupboard. Like seriously, it is in a mess!

A heart-shape ring I bought at this push cart shop at Orchard Central. I fall in love with it. If only is someone bought it for me. Ha ha! It cost S$6. Kind of expensive right?

There is this Taiwan delights till 6 Nov at Takashima basement. But it is seriously more expensive as compared to when you go to Taiwan. If you want to have a taste of what sort of snacks you can eat in Taiwan, you can go there without travelling and wasting air tickets, so I guess is much cheaper. Ha ha!

I had ice cream at Cold Stone with Andrea. And we talked about someone. Ha ha! The ice cream is good definitely. We ordered this, what is the name of it? Chocolate batter something. Anyway, it is chocolate ice cream with oreo and brownie inside. I'm so going to try chocolate devotion the next time I'm going there. It costs S$8.90 for 6oz with waffles. Waffles at additional S$1. Andrea said it tasted better then Cold Rock. Don't really care. It is ice cream! And the waffle is nice! :)

I ate this chocolate egg the other day. I brought my cousin to FairPrice near his house the other day and he said he wanted this. I bought 2 as it was on promotion. I kind of remind me of the old version of this. Whereby it is more unhygienic where the chocolate needs to use hand to eat it. At the end of the day, the hands are filled with chocolate. But it is fun! With the chocolate and toy! I used to like the toy as I can fix and paste the sticker to the toy. But after eating the chocolate this time ( I think this is my first time eating this version of kinder egg), without opening the toy section, I gave it to my cousin. He was very happy about it.

My uncle was saying me being a kid eating kid stuff. Chocolate is a universal food okay, what kids' stuff. It is nice, you should go buy one and try. Ha ha!

After dinner, we went to watch What's Your Number? We selected this movie because the title is related to our work. We calculate people's number for retirement. So this is like part of the company What's Your Number campaign.

But this movie does not have any related to retirement or what so ever. What's your number is how many men you slept or dated with before marriage? In the movie, it said that, on average, females would have slept or dated 10.5 men before marriage and if you reached over 20, you are over. Means marriage is like a impossible already. So this male actress already had slept with 19 men so that means she left only with one person and that person has to be her prince charming that kind of thing. But one fine day, she was drunk and had a one night stand with her ex-boss and there... she was in desperate situation now. So, she came out with an idea to find back all her ex-s and wanted to re-kindle with one of them. The main actor in the show is the one who helped her to find her ex-s. Just to find out that one is married, one is gay and so on. Kind of a meaningless show to me. Somewhat boring in between. But there are parts where there were funny points. I just feel ridiculous, is like does number matter so much? Come on, move on with life and find a better man. There is a Chinese proverb that said never eat grass that was once left behind. 不吃回头草. I don't think my translation is correct. But it means that don't go back to the things or person that you once don't want or dumped or left behind. There is always a reason why there is a separation or an end to it.

Once again, Westerns have shown me that they are liberal in sex. And what the hell, the main actor went to collect the newspapers outside his door naked. Is like seriously? Do they really do that in real-life? I think in Singapore, he ought to be sued.

I have a traditional mindset. No pre-marital sex! Pre-marital sex has become a common thing nowadays. So is it right or wrong? I don't think there is a right or wrong to it but you are still responsible to what you are doing. So ya.

I was wondering, don't they afraid of getting HIV or AIDS or some other sexually transmitted diseases? Okay, I don't really mind if my future husband had sex before me as long as I'm the last and he needs to do full complete medical check up before marriage to confirm that he is free of any STDs. I really don't mind, serious? Okay, I mind.

Zhong Yan and another colleague of mine, Peter, have officially become a couple. 不可思议. Okay la, they are very close so if they are together, not a very surprise thing. Congrats to both of them.

Is like people around me are getting attached. What about me? Seriously sad. It would be good if my future husband is first and last while I'm his first and last too. Isn't it sweet? Just like Florence and Billy. So romantic. Okay, 汛期自然. Did I write the Chinese words correctly?
