The following passages originally appeared as segments 23 to 38 in the formal complaint that Deniece Cornejo filed at the Taguig City Hall of Justice last Wednesday, Jan 29.

ABS-CBNnews.com took photos of some pages of the actual complaint document. We simply re-typed the passages featured in the said photographed pages as is. We only separated some paragraphs for purposes of clarity. We also numbered the passages for easy reference.

Here is a portion of Cornejo's complaint affidavit. It is supposedly her own account of what allegedly happened at the Forbeswood Heights condo unit she was staying in on the night actor Vhong Navarro visited her.

Cornejo stated:

1. "While I was busy in the kitchen, I offered Kuya Vhong some juice or refreshments, he came over and patted me on the back and said, 'Okay lang ako.' He started joking around with me a little bit and began stroking my hair, my back and my arm. It was then that I started to feel uneasy and uncomfortable. The vibe between us suddenly changed and I felt I had to do or say something, so I told him, 'Kuya, ayaw ko. Sorry hindi ko talaga ito magagawa.'"

2. "Kuya Vhong became irritated. I was shocked because he brusquely pulled at my hair and dragged me towards the sofa and tried to get on top of me. I tried to pull away from him by kicking and flailing around and I was able to get away from his clutches and my first instinct was to run to my bedroom and to get my cellular phone."

3. Breaking the continuity of the narrative, Cornejo explained: "My bedroom and the living are is separated only by a curtain so it really didn't provide me any protection against Kuya Vhong and he was able to reach me again before I could grab my cellular phone."

4. "Kuya Vhong pinned me down to the bed and was kissing me all over while I kept on kicking, shouting and trying to get myself free from him. Kuya Vhong again roughly pulled at my hair with one hand while pulling down his pants and underwear with the other. Kuya Vhong was already completely on top of me, half-naked and he tried to unzip my shorts but it wouldn't budge because it was jammed or stuck. All this time, I could here my phone ringing but couldn't reach it."

5. "Kuya Vhong still had his hands clutched tighly to my hair and tried to push my head towards his genitals. I tried to resist but the hair pulling was really painful and it felt like my scalp was going to be pulled out of my head. He succeeded in mashing my entire face, my mouth, my nose and chin right into his genitals. I couldn't get free because he was pinning me down with his weight and pulling on my hair the entire time."

6. "Kuya Vhong continued to pull my hair and forced my face into his genitals, despite my cries of 'No, huwag po.' He kept pushing his penis into my mouth and I tried with all my might to push him away but as he was on top of me with his full weight, my protests were to no avail. He began unzipping my shorts with the obvious intention of inserting his penis to my private part. At this point, I was already very hysterical and scared because I knew that he was not going to stop until he successfully did what he was planning to do, which was to rape me."

7. "Unable to unzip my shorts, he somehow managed to lift one leg of my shorts and pulled at my underwear exposing my private part and allowing him to force his penis towards my private part. At that point, I felt that his hard penis was already touching my private part as I continued to try and push him away from me. He was pushing his hard penis into my vagina, leaving me without any other recourse except to continuously struggle; I was certain that Kuya Vhong was going to have his way with me. While all of this was happening, I was trying with all my might to shout and call for help."

8. "It was only by a miracle that my friends suddenly appeared to help me. I suddenly felt the weight of Kuya Vhong taken away from me and when I was free, I ran to the first person I saw who was a female friend of mine. I was crying, inconsolable and hysterical.

9. "As I tried to understand what went on, my friend took me out of my condominium unit down to the poolside to console me and allow me time to gather my senses."

10. "My friend tried to console me and calm me down. When I was over the initial shock of everything that just happened, we went back inside and I insisted to my friends that we had to report what happened. I told them we had to bring Kuya Vhong to the police station. I demanded that we bring him to the station because I was so angry, humiliated and violated. I was not about to just let the incident go as if nothing had happened."

11. "While we were in the elevator, I saw Kuya Vhong, and I felt I was so betrayed and hurt, I just kept crying quietly to myself the whole time we were in the elevator."

12. "With the intention of filing a case of rape against Kuya Vhong, my friends and I deemed it wise to go to a police station and have a blotter taken by the police. At the police station, we spoke with the desk officer assigned at the time and we gave our statement.

13. "During this whole time, Kuya Vhong was pleading incessantly saying, 'Huwag n'yo po 'to ilabas sa media, masisira ang career ko at kawawa ang mga anak ko.' He said this on and on to the point of exhaustion. we were at the police station for more than one hour with him continuously begging, saying the same thing about not releasing this matter to the media."

14. "It was also at the police station that Kuya Vhong alternately pleaded not to release this matter to the media and offered the amount of PHP2000,000, which escalated to PHP500,000 and eventually reached the amount of PHP800,000.

15. "Given Kuya Vhong's incessant pleas for me to not pursue the case of rape against him, together with the fact that I was going through a very traumatic and emotional experience, I was very confused as to what should be done. I knew then that if this matter was blown out of proportion that I will be involved in a very tedious, painful and harrowing case."

16. "As I stated, I am a motivational speaker and as such I espouse the belief of strength in adversity and courage in trial. Plus, I was already very exhausted at that point so I decided not to pursue the case. Instead, we continued and finished only with the police blotter so as to protect my honor and there be a proper record of what Kuya Vhong had done to me."

17. "From the police station, we parted ways, I went back to my unit for a few moments and left. I decided to sleep over at a friend's place because I did not want to relive the trauma inside my unit. I returned to my unit at the Fort the next day to find my unit ransacked and robbed. Since then, I have never returned to my unit."

NEW YORK (AP) — In a move that echoes Twitter, Facebook is adding a feature to its service that lets users know the topics of discussion that are trending among the site's 1.2 billion users, whether it's the death of a world leader or the Oscars.

Users in the U.S., U.K., India, Canada and Australia will begin seeing a list of trending topics on the right side of their Facebook pages in coming weeks. It will be available in more countries later on.

Trending topics won't be available on the mobile version of Facebook, but the company said it is testing the feature in its app for smartphones and tablet computers.

Facebook, which signaled last year that it would introduce trending topics at some point, said Thursday that the topics people see will be tailored to the user's interests and location. On Thursday afternoon, two users saw topics that included the Academy Awards, American Idol and Republican Sen. David Vitter from Louisiana.

Unlike Twitter, which simply lists topics, Facebook's trending section explains why a particular topic is trending. In this case, the 2014 Academy Award nominations were announced, American Idol named new judges and promised a new attitude and Vitter introduced a bill that would require people show photo IDs to make purchases with food stamps.

Chris Stuhar, a software engineer at Facebook who works on the site's news feed, said the feature is designed to uncover the most interesting content across the site and fits into the company's broader effort to make Facebook "your personal newspaper."

Facebook is already seen as a place where users go to find out what their friends and family are up to. Stuhar said learning that a friend got married or discovering what his friends are doing on a Friday night is "certainly news," but Facebook has a "much broader vision of where we want news feed to go in the future."

Facebook's new feature represents another move onto Twitter's turf. Right now, Twitter is seen as the place people go to have public conversations about events as they happen, whether that's live TV, sports or news. Mirroring Twitter, Instagram and other services, Facebook in June introduced hashtags, the number signs that identify topics being discussed and that allow users to search for them.

MANILA (2nd UPDATE) - Closed-circuit camera television (CCTV) footage supports the story of actor and TV host Vhong Navarro regarding the circumstances around his mauling, a source at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said on Tuesday.

ABS-CBN News has secured screenshots of one of the CCTV footage taken at Forbeswood Heights Condominium in Taguig City where Navarro was allegedly attacked by a group of men led by businessman Cedric Lee.

The NBI now has 3 raw footage taken at the condo. One camera is in the building's entrance and exit, another is at the elevator, while the third one is in the lobby.

An NBI source said Navarro's statement is consistent with the CCTV footage, including the time and people mentioned in the alleged mauling incident.

The footage shows businessman Cedric Lee and his companions carrying a tied-up Navarro leaving the elevator and the condominium.

It shows 6 men and two women.

CORNEJO LEAVES CONDO, LEE ARRIVES

Lee claimed that he and his sister arrived in Cornejo's condominium unit and found Navarro on top of the model, trying to rape her.

He said they were supposed to pick up Cornejo late on January 22 when they heard her screaming inside her unit.

He said since her front door was unlocked, they went inside and found Cornejo fighting off Navarro’s advances.

"Ang instinct ko, I grabbed him from the back at hinila ko pababa ng kama. Si Deniece ay tumakbo sa sister ko at inilabas na siya sa condo unit. Naiwan dun sa condo, ako at ‘yung lalaki na di ko pa kilala ay si Vhong," Lee recalled.

The CCTV footage, however, tells a different story.

Around 22:38 or 10:38 pm of January 22, Navarro is seen entering the condo's lobby.

At 10:39 p.m., the TV host is inside the elevator going up the condo.

At 10:40 p.m., a woman identified as Cornejo is seen leaving the condo, which means Lee could not have witnessed Navarro on top her in her room as he has alleged in several interviews.

A minute later, 10:41 p.m., a man identified as Lee enters the condo.

Several men, believed to be Lee's companions, are seen entering the condo two minutes later.

The woman is also seen leaving the condo again.

The NBI said it is studying the timeline to see if it supports Cornejo's claim of attempted rape by Navarro.

Navarro, in his interview aired on ABS-CBN Sunday, said he was surprised by Lee's arrival while he was visiting Cornejo.

Here's Navarro's narrative:

"Pinuntahan ko na siya mga ganoon din, mga 10:45 din. Kasi ang usapan namin 10:30, mga ganun.

"Ito na. Nung nag-take out ako ng food, papunta na ako sa kanya, tumawag ako sa kanya. Sabi ko nandito na ako sa lobby. Sabi niya, ‘Okay na, diretso ka na. Kita na lang tayo sa elevator. Magkita tayo sa baba.’ Sabi ko, ‘Okay, akala ko kasi mahigpit eh.’ Yun kasi nung una ang sabi niya eh. Pagdating ko doon, 'yung guard, deadma. May dalawang yaya pang nakakita sa akin, kumaway pa.

"Pagdating ko doon, ang tagal nung elevator bumaba. May bumukas na paakyat so sumabay na ako paakyat. Nagkita kami sa taas. Nagulat siya. Sabi niya, ‘Akala ko sa baba tayo magkikita?’ ‘Eh ang tagal ng elevator.’ Ito na papasok na kami, weird yung sinabi niyang line, doon na ako medyo kinabahan.

"Pagbukas ng pinto, sabi niya, ‘Ikaw naman binigla mo ako, binigla mo ako, hindi pa ako nakapaglinis.’ Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Alam mo naman na pupunta ako.’ Paglagay ko ng food, papunta ako sa sofa, bigla siyang lumabas. Pagharap ko palabas na siya, may lumabas na lalaking nakatutok na sa akin na baril.

"Tapos lumabas na si Cedric Lee. Una minumukhaan ko siya pero nagpakilala na rin siya sa akin. Ang ginawa niya tinali niya 'yung kamay ko, tinali niya 'yung paa ko. Yung ulo ko nilagay nila sa sahig tapos pinagsasapak ako ni Cedric."

LEE: VIDEO WILL SHOW TRUTH

Lee, however, said Tuesday that at least two videos will exonerate him from allegations that he and Cornejo conspired to blackmail Navarro by accusing him of attempted rape.

In an interview with radio dzMM, Lee said the CCTV footage at the Forbeswood Heights condominium on the night of the incident will clearly show that Navarro arrived first at the condo, and that he and his companions arrived later.

"Makikita niyo sa CCTV camera nauna siya dun bago ako. Yung sinasabi niya na nandoon na ako, na may baril na ako pagpasok niya, hindi po totoo yun," he said.

Asked why the condominium guards did not investigate the incident, Lee said they told the guards about the alleged attempted rape, and that they were bringing Navarro to the police.

"Nagtanong yung guard, Sabi namin: Ito nangre-rape. Dadalhin namin sa presinto.' Wala rinecord nila. Makikita naman yun sa CCTV...Pwede naman sila sumama pero di sila sumama. Nag stay lang sila. Siguro pakiramdam nila hindi na nila trabaho yun," he said.

NAVARRO BLOODIED

NBI agents went to Forbeswood Heights Condominium Tuesday morning to get more details on the case.

Security is tight at the condo.

Visitors are required to leave their IDs and sign on the log book at the lobby, which also has a CCTV camera.

The area is manned by security guards.

Based on the guards' account, Cornejo informed them that Navarro and some relatives were coming over on January 22.

Lee also used the lobby, but not everyone in his group signed in the log book.

The guards said they also called the attention of Lee's group when they saw Navarro covered in blood as he was brought down to the lobby.

One of Lee's companions then made a scene, disturbing other residents, and diverting the guards' attention.

That was when Navarro was supposedly rushed to a car.

Cornejo moved in at the condo around a week before the incident. She had not yet given the condo's management any other information about herself, except her name.

MANILA, Philippines - Authorities on Monday released the composite sketches of two of the seven men believed to be behind Sunday night's robbery at F & C Jewelry in SM City North Edsa in Quezon City.
The sketches were based on the footage of alleged members of the "Martilyo Gang" captured through close circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed at the mall.
Police are trying to find out whether the group that robbed the jewelry shop where the same gang responsible for other robbery incidents in other commercial centers in the past.

Paul Walker Death -- Family Hunts For Burial Plot by TMZ Staff

Paul Walker's family is making plans for a proper funeral ... touring the grounds of a famous L.A. cemetery looking for a suitable burial plot.

Walker was killed 11 days ago when a Porsche Carrera GT driven by buddy Roger Rodas slammed into a pole and exploded in flames.

Walker's dad, Paul Sr., and other family members went to Forest Lawn Cemetery today to finalize plans and choose a final resting place.We're told the Walkers are planning a small funeral -- mostly family -- but it will also include cast and crew from the "Fast & Furious" movies.

No word on when the funeral will be held.

Paul Walker -- Small Family Funeral ... 'Fast & Furious' Crew Invitedby TMZ Staff

Paul Walker's funeral will be private ... for family only, and in Paul's world his movie's cast and crew is part of the brood.

Sources connected with Paul's family tell TMZ ... their biggest concern is Paul's 15-year-old daughter Meadow, who is understandably having a difficult time. They don't want a bunch of strangers surrounding the girl, because she needs to feel comfortable to grieve.

So the funeral will be by invitation only, and Paul felt the folks on the "Fast & Furious" cast and crew were close relatives. He was with them a lot and bonded with most of them.The family is also aware ... the cast and crew are grieving just like them, and the funeral will help them cope.It's unclear when the funeral will take place. Family sources tell TMZ ... sometime after the funeral there will be a larger memorial, but still by invitation only.

The 19-year-old pop star flew into the to the central city of Tacloban, where he handed out shirts, toys and basketballs to children.

The Canadian singer visited a school being used as an evacuation centre in the wake of last month's Typhoon Haiyan, which flattened entire towns and villages, and left nearly 6,000 people dead.

More than 1,700 others remain missing, and around four million have been made homeless.

He also saw a temporary classroom, packed with around 300 youngsters, before moving to an outdoor stage to sing.

Kate Donovan, a spokeswoman for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), said: "He played a very beautiful set.

"He played a series of Christmas songs and some of his hits as well, including Baby."

At another school being used as temporary shelter, Bieber played basketball with some boys and posed for pictures.

"Justin brought a lot of joy, hope and cheer to the hundreds of children who were there," said Angela Kearney, UNICEF's emergency coordinator for Haiyan response.

In a video posted on a fundraising website, Bieber asked fans to help support the relief effort.

The money that would be raised would give child survivors access to education, vaccinations, clean water and sanitation, Ms Kearney said.

The singer, one of the most followed persons on Twitter and best known for hit songs such as Baby, Boyfriend, and Beauty And A Beat, said those donating could win a chance to see him working on his upcoming album in the studio.

"The moment I heard about the tragedy a few weeks back, I thought I can count on you guys to make a difference," he said in his appeal.

On Twitter, the singer said: "Most touching trip of my life. I saw the devastation first hand today. They need our help,"

Bieber is one of the several foreign and local celebrities and VIPs who have backed the continuing recovery effort.

Alicia Keys visited an air force base in Manila two weeks ago and distributed crayons and coloring books to children of families, who arrived aboard military mercy flights from the worst-hit areas.

Amanda Bynes -- Life After Rehab -- Enrolls In Fashion School TMZ Staff

Amanda Bynes is wasting no time trying to rebuild her life after rehab ... and plans to hit the books at a private design school because she wants to become a fashion designer, TMZ has learned.

Sources close to Amanda tell us she's enrolled as a student at FIDM -- the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising -- registering under an alias for 2 classes at the Orange County campus.

As we reported ... Amanda was sprung from rehab in Malibu last week and released to her parents' care. She was being treated for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

We're told ... the people close to Amanda believe school will help ease her back into society by giving her some sort of structure for her life. She's taking a light class load -- by design -- and will be escorted to and from her classes.

We're also told ... the treatment that began in rehab will continue during the school year ... Amanda will juggle her classes with 4-times-a-week therapy sessions.

Just How Dangerous Was the Porsche Paul Walker Died In? Samantha MurphyKelly Wednesday

The 2005 Porsche Carrera GT sports car Paul Walker was riding in when he died on Saturday has been at the center of an investigation to determine what happened when it spun out of control and hit a tree. It's believed the vehicle was travelingabove the speed limit, and experts familiar with the model are saying the Carrera GT isn't just for the casual driver, labeling it as "brutal" and "a handful to drive."

The bright red car, which was driven by Walker's friend, business partner and experienced racer Roger Rodas, had three times the horsepower of an average vehicle and ran a V10 engine. It can hit 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and is undoubtedly as powerful as it is beautiful.

The $450,000 two seater was heralded as one of the fastest cars on the market when it debuted about eight years ago, with top speed higher than 200 mph. Now, as the model is getting a closer look following the tragic crash involving theFast and Furious actor, experts say it's a difficult car to control when flying at a top speed.

"It's a pure racer's car," Todd Trimble, an exotic car mechanic in Las Vegas, told CNN. "You really need to know what you're doing when you drive them. And a lot of people are learning the hard way."

Although Porsche originally planned to produce 1,500 of the cars, it discontinued the model due to changing airbag regulations in the U.S. Only about 1,270 GT models had been manufactured at the time, with 604 sold in the U.S. The car involved in Walker's death reportedly had six owners before the crash.

Trimble noted only 25% are left from the original batch: "They're getting rarer and rarer," Trimble said. "Most of the time, when they do get wrecked, there's not much left of them."

Nick Twork, manager of product communications at Porsche, told Mashable the company is working with officials as part of the investigation.

"It wouldn't be appropriate to comment on anything more than that we are deeply saddened about the death of the individuals and are fully cooperating with investigators. We are prepared to help in any way needed."

Although Twork declined to comment on why the car was discontinued, he said, "It's a car we sold for a period about nine years ago — at the time it was sold, it exceeded all safety standards."

In 2006, the model was featured on an episode of Top Gear. Show presenter Jeremy Clarkson said, "Not only is it one of the fastest and most exciting cars I've ever driven, it's also one of the most beautiful." But he also warned: "Make a mistake ... it bites your head off."

Clarkson attributes this to lack of stability control and the car's lightweight nature. Stability control technology keeps cars from skidding, helps with steering when they lose control and at times reduces engine power until the driver regains control. The engine of this particular model is also in the middle, which helps the car turn quickly.

In a clip of the episode posted to YouTube, it's possible to see the car speed out of control at both the 4:55 and 6:25 mark.

"You need to be awake to drive this fast," he said. "The clutch is brutal, the power is savage, and the handling — you really are on a knife edge. But if you put in an effort, boy oh boy do you get the rewards."

In addition to starring in The Fast and the Furious racing car franchise films, Walker developed an off-screen love for sports cars. Twitter user Victor Mosqueda posted a picture (seen above) of the actor with the Carrera GT, claiming the shot was taken just a few hours before the crash.

Teen pays $735 for photo of Xbox One on eBay Amanda Kooser

Peter Clatworthy, a 19-year-old in the UK, has been saving his pounds to buy an Xbox One console for his young son. In particular, he had his sights aimed at the special and hard-to-find Day One edition. Day One editions on eBay UK have been selling for upwards of $800, so Clatworthy thought he had gotten a deal when he found one for $735.

There was one big red flag on the listing. The description noted the item up for auction was a photo. However, since it was listed in the consoles category and the seller had good feedback, Clatworthy went ahead with the purchase. "It said 'photo' and I was in two minds, but I looked at the description and the fact it was in the right category made me think it was genuine," he explained to the Nottingham Post.

Clatworthy's package showed up looking a lot flatter and smaller than he expected. It was, indeed, merely a photo of a Day One Xbox with the words, "Thank you for your purchase" written on the back.

To add insult to injury, the photo wasn't even of a high quality. It looks to have been printed off from an inkjet with failing cartridges. Definitely not suitable for framing.

All is not lost. Clatworthy is working with eBay to get his money back. He has been told he will get a full refund due to the misleading nature of the listing.

A look at completed listings on eBay UK shows several listings with 450 pound ($735) buy-it-now prices with the title "Xbox One Fifa 14 Day One Edition, Photo Brand New UK 2013." The links to the actual listings and descriptions are no longer active.

Clatworthy's disappointing experience should stand as another eBay cautionary tale about reading the fine print and being wary of deals that seem too good to be true, but it's hard to blame him for trying to make his Xbox dreams come true. A quick question asking for clarification might have saved some grief, but the scummy seller is really the heart of the problem.

Paul Walker Death -- Image in Burning Porsche Video is NOT Paul TMZ Staff

Paul Walker did NOT make a final desperate attempt to escape the burning wreckage -- and the image seen in video shot right after the crash is definitely NOT Paul ... TMZ has learned.

There had been rampant speculation and buzz on the Internet that a shadowy figure seen around 23 seconds into the video of the burning Porsche Carrera GT ... was Walker trying to get out of the vehicle, but sources connected to the investigation now say it just isn't so ... for several reasons.

First, the sources tell us that, based on photographs of the wreckage ... Paul's body was pinned in an area of the car that makes it clear he couldn't have been flailing outside the vehicle.Also ...we're told that based on the injuries he suffered, Paul died within a nanosecond of impact, and therefore it's impossible for the image in the video to be him.It's not clear how long after impact the video starts, but clearly more than a nanosecond.As for what the image really is -- we're told law enforcement has watched the video, and based on evidence from the crash site ... it appears to be a part of the car's roof burning.

At the end of May, the Chicago Sun-Times laid off all its staff photographers. The paper would instead use newswires, freelancers, and reporters armed with iPhones. It was not the first time traditional media turned to untrained photojournalists—consider the Instagram photos NBC published after the Boston Marathon bombing or CNN’s iReport—but it was the first time any outlet made a policy of doing so.

As one might expect, the Sun-Times’ decision has met withcriticism. It’s been called “shortsighted” and “idiotic.” There’s even a Tumblr of head-to-head comparisons between theSun-Times and the still-photo-staffed Chicago Tribune. But the change does have its logic. First, it’s cheap. And, in theory, it will give the Sun-Times even more reach, by leveraging the cameras already in place at news events.

For the strategy to pay off, however, cameraphone technology needs to support it in ways it currently doesn’t. Cameraphones have improved dramatically in the last few years—the Nokia PureView sensor has 41 megapixels, and HTC’s newest sensor has larger pixels that grab more light—but they still suffer from one great shortfall: inadequate lenses.

About a year ago, engineers began to address the issue by putting cellular radios inside cameras, rather than attempting to cram cameras inside phones. The 16.3-megapixel Samsung Galaxy Camera has a 4G radio and a 21-times zoom lens. And the newer 20.3-megapixel Galaxy NX has an interchangeable lens mount. The Sony QX100, the newest offering in the lot, is the most extreme example. The device is just a lens, sensor, and image processor, and users attach their smartphone as a viewfinder.

Editors will need software that selects the best images—not just the ones from the right place at the right time. Connected cameras may improve the overall quality of crowdsourced images, but they will do little for the editors whose job it is to sort through them. Current services provide a temporary solution. With Scoopshot, a Helsinki software start-up, publishers can send photo assignments to the service’s network of 300,000-plus mobile users. Stringwire, which NBC acquired in August, lets video producers request an uplink from anyone who has tweeted near an event of interest. But to assure quality, editors will need software that automatically selects the best images—not just the ones taken in the right place at the right time. That type of computer vision already exists on a small scale. A recent update to Google+ analyzes groups of pictures for blurriness, aesthetics, landmarks, and exposure to pick out the most shareable ones. The Sun-Timesto benefit from that type of machine vision, the software will need to process larger image batches from multiple sources. In time, those pieces may come together, proving that theSun-Times decision wasn’t foolish—it was just a bit before its time.

It can take a little concentration to figure out which way is up when using a USB port such as one on a MacBook Air; the Thunderbolt port to the right is keyed to make orientation a bit easier. A new USB connector on the way will be reversible so it won't matter which way people plug it in.

The group behind the USB standard has begun work on a new connector that's designed to fix a two-decade-old problem: it can be hard to tell which way is up. The Type-C connector will make Universal Serial Bus more like Apple's Lightning connector, which is used on newer iPads and iPhones. With it, customers don't have to make sure the connector is flipped upside-down compared to the port.

USB is burdened by a variety of different connectors today, meaning that customers often must have the right cable to plug in the right camera, external hard drive, phone, printer, or thumb drive. But the Type-C connector is designed to sweep away all these predecessors with a single, all-purpose port.

"This new industry standards-based thin connector, delivering data, power and video, is the only connector one will need across all devices," said Alex Peleg, vice president of Intel's Platform Engineering Group, in a statement.

Paul Walker Autopsy Reveals Tragic Cause of Death

Three days after news broke of Paul Walker's tragic car crash in Valencia, California, fans are still reeling from it. As evidenced by the outpouring, it's clear that you didn't have to know him personally to feel a connection to the sweet and charming actor. So, the world can't help but ask why? Coroners have released an official cause of death to help provide some clarity as to what exactly happened to the once bright star.

The autopsy results reveal that he died from a combination oftraumatic and thermal injuries. His friend Roger Rodassuccumbed from multiple traumatic injuries. Reportedly, the bodies were so badly burned that they could only be identified by dental records.

The toxicology testing is still pending and could take several more weeks. Though this information was available on Tuesday, the report was put on "security hold" as police gathered more information about the accident. In fact, the biggest question is still a mystery to fans. We do not yet know why the car crashed. There is speculation that Rodas lost control of the Porsche Carrera GT and, as a result, barreled into a light pole. Speed may have played a part, as the car was reportedly going 90 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Walker is survived by his 15-year-old daughter Meadow. For now, those who loved and admired the actor continue to mourn his death, waiting for more answers.

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Government now has a total of P143-billion funds for post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction programs for next year after the Senate approved in third and final reading the P14.6 billion supplemental budget, it was learned Wednesday night.

With 15 affirmative votes, zero negative votes and zero abstention, the Senate approved House Bill No. 3423, authorizing the creation of a P14.6-billion supplemental budget, which will be sourced from the savings realized as a result of the Supreme Court decision declaring the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) as unconstitutional.

Aside from the P14.6 billion supplemental budget, the government has P12-billion funds from the extension of the validity of the savings incurred in the 2013 national budget; P100 billion programmed and unprogrammed funds from the 2014 national budget and P16.9 billion calamity and quick response fund (QRF).

Senator Francis Escudero said the P14.6-billion supplemental budget will be used for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of areas hit by typhoon Yolanda and other calamities including the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Bohol and Cebu, and the Zamboanga City siege.

Under the measure, the P14.6 billion supplemental budget will be given to government line agencies responsible for the review, repair and reconstruction of public infrastructures heavily damaged by recent calamities, particularly during the onslaught of super typhoon Yolanda (international code name: Haiyan).

From the P14.6 billion supplemental budget, P11.2 billion will be used as calamity rehabilitation fund while P3.4 billion will be used as quick response fund by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Escudero said.

A total of P2.75 billion and P1.25 billion will be allotted for the Department of Education and state universities and colleges, respectively for the repair and rehabilitation of school and academic buildings.

P3 billion will be given to the Department of Public Works and Highways to repair roads, bridges and other government infrastructure.

The restoration of declared historical sites which were damaged specifically by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake in the Visayas region will receive a total of P1.5 billion.

Expenses for the repair of hospitals amounting to P1 billion and purchase of hospital equipment amounting to P500 million will also be allotted through the Department of Health.

The amount of P1.5 billion will be given to the National Housing Authority for its purchase of relocation sites and construction of housing units.

The Department of Transportation and Communications, on the other hand, will receive P1 billion to repair airports and ports and P1 billion to the local government units to repair rural health centers and fund other rehabilitation programs.

“Given the magnitude of the damage caused by the past disasters, it is our obligation as your legislators to ensure that the government will have adequate funds to perk up its capacity to respond sufficiently to the immediate needs of the victims of recent disastrous events," said Senate President Franklin Drilon, who introduced the bill encouraging the passage of the supplemental budget.

“With such a significant amount of funding to be handed to its disposal, the government will be fully equipped to rebuild the provinces ravaged by the calamities especially in building the needed classrooms, power utilities and housing units,” he added.

Drilon further explained that the funds will be used “to accelerate recovery for our countrymen in the Visayas and other affected areas and to intensify efforts for rehabilitation, repair and reconstruction of severely damaged buildings and facilities as early as possible.”

“President Aquino himself views the issue of rehabilitation as ‘a vital priority’ when he certified this bill as urgent,” he added.

Escudero added that the Senate Finance Committee, the House Committee on Appropriations and the Commission on Audit will strictly require accountability of the expenditures through quarterly reports which will be reviewed by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), before being listed on their website for transparency purposes.

Meanwhile, Escudero said that the bicameral conference committee on the supplemental budget will be opened to the public in order to avoid doubts on the perceived realignment that will favor certain legislators particularly on congressional insertions.

“Our scheduled bicam is on December 10, at 9 a.m. It’s open, it’s public. In fact live streaming siya kamukha nang ginawa namin sa committee hearing, sa plenary debates. Hopefully we can complete it in one or two days,” Escudero said.

Klaus had just regained control of his empire on "The Originals," when he quickly learned that he was ill-prepared to run it. Rather than continue the arrangement with the human leaders of the city, Klaus was defiant. And so, the human council lashed out, killing vampires. Of course, this led Klaus to kill all of them save one. Not a great start.

And so he conceded that maybe Marcel was right. He needed to be better at politics. Or ... he could just have Marcel help him run things. "Rule with me side by side as equals... Friends... Brothers," Klaus offered. Entertainment Weekly's Samantha Highfill wondered if Marcel will stop plotting against his maker now that he's been promoted to co-ruler. Our guess is probably not.

The kinder, gentler Klaus -- this won't last -- even went so far as to open his arms to his family again. After Elijah apologized for doubting Klaus' intentions, Klaus told his older brother that both he and Rebekah were welcome to come back to the family home when they were ready. Hollywood Life's Andy Swift was happy to see the family back together. "At least we can head into 2014 knowing that the Mikaelsons are a little more functional; I was starting to think they’d never be whole again," he wrote.

Vin Diesel spoke out for the first time following the tragic death of his "Fast and the Furious" co-star, Paul Walker, calling the late actor his "brother" and thanking fans for their support during this difficult time.

On Monday (Dec. 2), Diesel posted a Facebook message dedicated to the 40-year-old, along with a photo.

"To live in the hearts we leave behind, is not to die," he wrote, quoting the poet Thomas Campbell. "Pablo, I wish you could see the world right now ... and the profound impact, your full life has had on it, on Us ... on me ... I will always love you Brian, as the brother you were ... on and off screen."

Diesel later visited the crash site where Walker died on Nov. 30 and used a police megaphone to express his gratitude to the crowd gathered there, the Daily Mail noted.

"If my brother were here right now and saw all the love that you're bringing here," he said. "'If he could see for himself that all of you have showed up to show my brother love at this hard time, and that his family gets to see all of you show the love that you've shown Paul ... It's gonna stay with me forever. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for coming down here and showing that angel up in heaven how much you appreciated him."

Diesel and Walker have been co-stars in the "Fast and the Furious" series since the first installment premiered in 2001. They were on a break from filming "Fast & Furious 7" for the Thanksgiving holiday when Walker died in a fiery car crash in Valencia, Calif., on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 29), according to The Hollywood Reporter. He and the rest of the cast and crew were scheduled to recommence filming in Atlanta, Ga., on Sunday.

The fate of the action flick is unclear, but it will not be scrapped, THR reported.

Walker's other "Fast and the Furious" co-stars have also expressed their grief over his loss.

"I'm gonna carry this torch for you brother, with a forced smile on my face and Im gonna open my heart just cause your telling me to," actress Michelle Rodriguez wrote on her Facebook page Monday.

Tyrese Gibson was seen crying at the crash site Sunday.

Police are currently investigating the accident and have ruled out drag racing as a cause, according to CNN. Previously, authorities received a tip that there was a second car at the scene racing the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, allegedly driven by Walker's friend Roger Rodas, before it crashed into a light pole and burst into flames. Investigators are now focusing on speed.

Paul Walker's father Paul Walker Sr. could barely keep himself together today in L.A., claiming the entire Walker family has been struggling to cope with the actor's sudden death.

Paul addressed the media outside his home, saying he's never experienced anything like this in his life. "It's hard ... every now and then I'll really break down."

And the rest of the Walker family isn't any better -- Paul's dad says the actor's 15-year-old daughter Meadow has been taking it really hard, but thankfully ... she's surrounded by family and friends who love her.

The whole video is pretty emotional and hard to watch, but it's worth it in the end -- Paul's dad tells everyone how Paul would want to be remembered ... and it's a beautiful image.

Paul Walker's father said his son knew just how much he loved him.

"I always told him that [I loved him], I always gave him a kiss," he told KABC in Los Angeles. "I knew that eventually he might come to realize what a good person he was, his casual honesty … his smile."

The "Fast & Furious" star's father, Paul Walker III, said he and his son were very close. Walker, 40, died Saturday in a car accident near a Los Angeles event for the actor's charitable organization Reach Out Worldwide.

"I'm glad to say the last time I was with him, we had a great, great talk about how he wanted to spend more time with his daughter Meadow," he said. "Plans, things he wanted to do, things he was thinking about. He talked about everything but the film industry."

Meadow Walker, 15, was at the event Saturday when the accident happened. She moved to Los Angeles a few years back to be with her father full-time.

"We lost a spirit," he added. "I'm devastated"

Walker Sr. also told KABC how great fans have been the days following his son's death.

"The last couple days I've been hearing these wonderful stories about my son," he said. "This fella came up to me and … he says, 'I was with my family and Paul was down in the hotel lobby. I said I got a 17-year-old daughter who thinks you're just the greatest thing on earth.'"

Walker said in typical fashion, his son said, "Let's go meet her."

"That was so what he did," he said.

Paul Walker -- Death Car May Have Malfunctioned by TMZ Staff

The exotic sports car in which Paul Walker violently died, crashed as a result of mechanical failure -- very possibly a steering fluid leak ... this according to sources closely tied to the auto shop where the vehicle was stored and maintained.

Sources connected to Always Evolving -- the shop co-owned by Walker and the Porsche driver Roger Rodas -- tell TMZ they saw evidence of a fluid burst and subsequent fluid trail before the skid marks at the accident scene.

The AE sources point to the fact there is a noticeable absence of skid marks until just before the point of impact. They say if Roger had lost control the skid marks would show swerving, but instead the marks were in a straight line. They feel this cements the theory the driver didn't have steering control.Also suspicious -- the fire spreading so quickly in the front of the car. The sources say flames would be expected in the rear where the engine is ... but fire in the front reinforces their theory of a fluid leak of some sort.

We're told the $500,000 Carrera GT was NOT modified and was driven rarely so they believe any failure must be a factory defect.

As one source put it ... "Roger was a world class driver" -- and while he might have been speeding (as cops have said) ... the notion he just lost control is preposterous.

Matt Damon -- Paul Walker Death is 'F**king Horrible' by TMZ Staff

Matt Damon finally said what everyone in Holywood has been thinking -- Paul Walker's death is "f**king horrible."

Damon was arriving at LAX with his wife yesterday when he was asked about the tragedy involving the "Fast and the Furious" actor ... and was as brutally honest as he could be.

Damon said the two knew each other -- though it's unclear how well. It doesn't appear the two ever worked together.

Still, Damon's words couldn't ring more true -- Walker was known around town as one of the nicest guys in the biz ... and was attending a charity event at the time of the fatal crash.

Paul was 40.
