35 years ago today, Harvey Milk was assassinated by Dan White. White shot and killed Mayor George Moscone after the Mayor refused to reappoint White as Supervisor, then went to Milk's office. The first openly gay politician, Milk was aware that he was controversial and might be killed. This film shows images of the suit Milk wore when he was killed with an edited version of his audio will. "Last week I got that phone call from Altoona, Pennsylvania and my election gave somebody else, one more person hope. After all, that's what it's about. It's not about personal gain, it's not about ego, it's not about power. It's about giving those young people out there, in Altoona Pennsylvanias, hope. Gotta give 'em hope."
