Wine Label: Jaspi Blanc

One of the big change in my life is that I just accepted a job to work at a wine marketing agency, and that means i will do lots and lots wine labels!! YAY!! so now my biggest design secret is out (that i love packaging and wine labels...yay), and that also means I'm gonna post lots and lots of wine labels on my blogs for inspiration, hehe.

Here's JASPI BLANC by Aripus Barcelona. “The “blanc” is the white wine grape variety of the Jaspi collection. It has a fresh character but with a touch of wood. This is what the label communicates. A classic representation of the vineyard, in the same way as in the rest of the collection, but in this case taking special attention on the leaves to give to the label a touch of freshness and color.”

I came across Mauro De Donatis works when I was doing some research on TGTL Olive Oil Collection, he was the master graphic mind behind the art work that represented Italy in the collection. I love how he tells us the story behind his work, from inspiration to execution.

Anyhoo, Sakis Rouvas is NOT a model per se, according to Wikipedia, "He is a Greek musician, television and film artist, businessman, and former pole vaulter who is one of the most successful and influential entertainers of all time in Greece and Cyprus." I think I've said this, I'm a closet case of packaging, and when I cam across Mauro De Donatis' design for TGTL Olive Oil, I was amazed by the technique and how beautiful the final outcome is.

"TGTL - Think Global Taste Local is a food hunting company that aims to present the best gastronomic products from each country/region to the World. They create food experiences, having food specialist looking for outstanding products from small producers, surprising people with new fantastic flavors.

NTGJ is the design agency that developed the concept.

The work was to draw three illustrations that represent three different European countries for a total of three cans of olive oil packed in one box. Mauro did an illustration for a limited edition of one can of virgin olive oil."

"WOW" that was my first word when I came across Sabine's work, I think using the word stylish to describe a fashion illustration is of course redundant. Her work is not entirely main stream, but I think she injects such a strong does of romanticism in her drawings, each model she draw somehow has their own personalities....and look at those details on the clothes....LOVELY!

Came across these lovely typography + graphic works on Behance.net , they are created by Nikiforos Kollaros from Athens, Greece. Not sure who she is but J'adore her works! will look more into her works in my future post :) stay tune! Wish I can read the small print though.

See below; “Miner & Miner required an identity that would clearly launch the management consultancy as a merger of the principals’ two existing practices. To that end, Matter’s design solution makes the statement that two heads are better than one. A bold numeral “II” stands in place of the “i” in the “Miner” wordmark and is register-embossed on the business cards. "King Bansah is an african King. He lives and works in Ludwigshafen/Germany as a car-mechanic and governs his people from there. King Bansah does a lot of activites and performances to collect money for his aid projects. He is a singer, a guest in TV-shows and events. But he is a real King with a serious background.

The new corporate design should underline the authenticity and lordliness of the king because they are essential for him and make his activities possible. A combination of royal and exotic impressions. One example of his engagement is his own royal beer AKOSOMBO. The benefit of the beer is passed on to the aid projects of the King in Ghana."
