<b><i>Delaware High School Football Huddle</i></b><br />

Delaware has become the 32 state to adopt a concussion law protecting high school student-athletes.<br />
<br />
On Tuesday, Governor <b>Jack Markell</b> signed the into law a bill that sets regulations for all schools in the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association. <br />
<br />
The new law stipulates that athletes, parents and coaches must be educated about the dangers of concussions each year. If an athlete is suspected of having a concussions, he or she must be removed from the game or practice. The athlete may not return to play or practice until a licensed health care professional examines and clears the athlete in subsequent days or weeks.<br />
<br />

<br />
Bryant rushed for 240 yards in the Gold's 39-14 win over the Blue Stars. Bryant broke the game's rushing record of 204 yards by <b>Wilmington's Charley Cox</b> that stood since the inaugural game back in 1956.<br />
<br />
It was the Gold team's first win since 2005.<br />

</tbody></table>After three successful and controversial years as head football coach at <b>Red Lion Christian Academy</b>, <b>Eric Day</b> has stepped down.<br />
<br />
Day, who guided the Lions to a 23-7 record, resigned Friday saying he wanted to spend more time on personal growth. Day and the Lions would have been the top seed in the Division II playoffs last year, but the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association put the coach and the school on probation for excessive practices and playing too many games. <br />
<br />

Blum led his team to a perfect regular season, losing to <span style="font-weight:bold;">St. Mark's</span> in the state semifinals and finishing 10-1. His 10-yard scoring strike to <span style="font-weight:bold;">Ben Hopkins</span> with 4:45 to go in the game won it for the Cavaliers.
