Hi Everyone!

I decided that in this first post, I would simply list some of my favorite authors. Then I thought it would be fun to open the floor for all of you to let us all know what your favorite authors and books are.

I love series. 8, 10 or 12 books that basically tell one long story are the best. My favorite authors include: Anne Rice, Stephen King, W.E.B. Griffin, John Stanford, Dean Koontz, L. Ron Hubbard, Tom Clancy, John Grisham, Michael Connelly, Erich Segal, J.A. Jance, Tim LaHayne and Jerry B. Jenkins to name just a few. I just love to read. When a book is well written, I lose myself in the story. With some stories I even find myself thinking in the way the characters speak. With Stephen Kings Dark Tower Series, I even catch myself using words and phrases from the books, out loud. Let me tell you, people who have never read that series give me some very strange looks.

That's enough about me for now. I hope that in the weeks and months ahead that we get to know each other well and can help each other find new and exciting books that, maybe we wouldn't have found or even thought of reading on our own.
