This lamp was combined the varies parts of lantern such as the fount and burner set look like coleman, the generator as Tilley Generator but with little nozzle.Since the coleman had stated in England on that period ,the parts of coleman lantern were combined in many brand lantern. I had found the weak part of this lantern as the top of the fount was very thin ,not strong ,was made of the brass and the steel bottom. However it's brightly lantern when lit it.

Using the "ENDERS BABY" petrol cooking stove No.9063

Setting up

Take the stove out of its case and set it up so that the petrol container stand outside the case and the burner inside.

Filling

Unscrew the filling plug and in its place screw on the funnel ( which automatically gives the right filling level ).
Fill with clean petrol.
Remove funnel and replace plug, screwing it down tightly,then keep away from naked lights.

Preheating

Fill the preheating cup two-thirds full methylated spirit, or by slightly opening the regulator and giving a few strokes on the pump, with petrol.

Preheating old

Place the tin cylinder ( preheating aid ) on the burner so that the slot in it fits over the regulating rod.
Lay the pot supports on the case.
Light the spirit or petrol in the preheating cup.
Operate the pressure pump until sufficient resistance is felt.

Lighting the stove

Before the contents of the worming bowl have burnt out, turn the regulating rod to the left and the burner will light up.
Apply the match or litter if necessary.

Regulating the flame

For the hot flame, turn the regulating rod to the left.
For fine adjustment, turn the rod slowly to the right.
For extinguishing the flame, turn the rod of the right until it reaches the stop.
Important*** In time the regulating key will get hot, it should therefore be attached only when it is required.

Repacking

Take the burner out of the case, remove the preheating aid.
After replacing the stove in the outer case the preheating aid will fit in between the container and burner.

Important

The stove must be used inside the case and it must not be left too long unattended.
Use Gasoline, Petrol only, any other fuel mixed petrol may hinder the operation of the stove.

Defects and their remedies

Just stopped up

Revealed by lack of gas or irregular and yellow flame.
REMEDY***** Take off the preheating aid with the universal spanner and clean out the jet with the pricker. Screw in a new jet if necessary.

Leaks

Revealed by flame diminishing in spite of energetic pumping.
REMEDIES***** a). Tighten filling plug (with larger spanner hexagon)
b). Tighten pump connection (with spanner).
c). Tighten reg-rod cap nut: for detects --a) and b) new washer may be necessary.

Regulating device leaking

Revealed by flames or drops at regulating rod extension (not dangerous).
REMEDY***** Tighten cap nut or, after some period of use, have the stuffing gland changed.

Pump does not suck

Revealed by lack of resistance when pumping.
REMEDY***** Take out the pump plunger and sleep the pump leather in suitable oil or exchange it for a new one
When inserting the pump leather, see that it is not creased.

The stove does not light

Although it gives off gas--cause: unsuitable fuel.
REMEDY***** Remove filling plug, pour the fuel, rinse the tank with petrol and refill half with clean petrol.
Replace plug, pump, with regulating valve open, to pass the petrol through connection and jet.

ถ้าเรามาศึกษาถึงกระบวนทางเคมีของปิโตรเลี่ยม เราก็พอน่าที่จะแบ่งแยกออกได้ในระดับหนึ่ง

นับตั้งแต่การนำเอาน้ำมันดิบซึ่งเป็นสารประกอบของไฮโดรคาร์บอนมากลั่นที่อุณหภูมิต่างกัน กล่าวคือ การกลั่นที่อุณหภูมิต่ำๆ ก็จะได้ก๊าซซึ่งสามารถแยกย่อยออกเป็นก๊าซมากมายหลายชนิด แต่ที่เราคุ้นเคยกันคือ ก๊าซโพรเพน และก๊าซบิวเทน เมื่อนำก๊าซ 2 ชนิดมารวมกันก็จะได้ก๊าซแอลพีจี (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) ที่เรานำมาใช้หุงต้มในชีวิตประจำวัน

ก๊าซโพรเพนกับก๊าซบิวเทน ( Propane/Butane ) มีองค์ประกอบของคาร์บอนอยู่ซึ่งก๊าซโพรเพนจะมีคาร์บอนน้อยกว่า น้ำหนักจะเบากว่า สังเกตได้จากเมื่ออากาศหนาวๆตามยอดเขาที่เราไปตั้ง camp แล้วใช้ก๊าซเป็นเชื้อเพลิงจุด ซึ่งบ้านเรามักจะใช้ก๊าซหุงต้ม LPG แต่ผลที่ตามมาเมื่ออากาศหนาว อุณหภูมิต่ำ ก๊าซ LPG ซึ่งอยู่ในรูปของเหลวมีน้ำหนัก ทำให้ก๊าซไม่ลอยตัวสร้างปัญหาให้ไม่สามารถจุดได้ นัก camping ซึ่งรู้ถึงขีดจำกัดข้อนี้ดี จึงได้มีการนำเอา โพรเพน ซึ่งมีความบริสุทธิ์เบากว่า และเป็นก๊าซที่ลอยตัวได้ดีกว่า นำเป็นเป็นเชื้อเพลิงใช้ในการจุดเตา ตะเกียง..

สำหรับแนพทา (Naphtha) เป็นน้ำมันกึ่งสำเร็จรูป บางครั้งก็เรียก แนพทา (Naphtha)ว่า "้White gas"หรือ เบนซินขาว (White gasoline)ซึ่งใช้อุณหภูมิสูงกว่าก๊าซในการกลั่น มีจุดเดือดสูงกว่า แน่นอน ย่อมมีส่วนประกอบของคาร์บอนมากกว่าก๊าซ เป็นวัตถุดิบที่นำมาผลิตน้ำมันเบนซินอีกทีหนึ่ง สำหรับแนพทา (Naphtha) ก็คือ เบนซินชนิดหนึ่ง จะต่างจาก คำว่า น้ำมันเบนซิน ในกระบวนการกลั่นออกมาให้ได้น้ำมันเบนซิน มักจะใส่ สาร Additive (สารปรุงแต่ง ) ลงไปเพื่อเป็นวัตถุประสงค์ที่เป็นประโยชน์สำหรับสิ่งนั้นๆ หรืออีกนัยหนึ่งคือ นำเบนซินมาผ่านกระบวนการเพื่อให้ได้ออกมาเป็นน้ำมันเบนซิน ( Gasoline ) ว่ากันว่า น้ำมัน โคลแมน ( Coleman Fuel ) ก็คือแนพทาด้วย ก็มักจะนำมาจุดเตาและตะเกียง

น้ำมันเบนซิน ( Gasoline ) มีหลายชนิดทั้งที่เป็น น้ำมันไร้สารตะกั่ว ( Unleaded Gasoline ), น้ำมันเบนซินค่าอ๊อกเทน 91,95 ก็มีตะเกียงหลายชนิดที่สามารถใช้น้ำมันชนิดนี้จุดได้

น้ำมันก๊าด ( Kerosene/Paraffin ) ค่อนข้างที่จะมีส่วนประกอบของคาร์บอนและกำมะถันมาก เมื่อจุดเตา ตะเกียง จะมีเขม่า ควันตามมาด้วย มักจะมีปัญหาเรื่องตะเกียงอุดตันเมื่อจุดไปนาน มีจุดเดือดสูง เตาและตะเกียงที่จุดมักจะให้ความร้อนสูง สว่างกว่าเตาและตะเกียงที่ใช้เบนซิน มีน้ำมันก๊าดทั้งที่มีสีขาวและสีน้ำเงิน การใส่สีก็เพื่อป้องกันมิให้นำไปผสมปลอมปนกับน้ำมันชนิดอื่น เพราะมีราคาถูกกว่า ค่อนข้างที่จะปลอดภัยกว่าเตาและตะเกียงที่ใช้เบนซิน

น้ำมันชักแห้ง ( Drying Oil ) เป็นที่เรียกกันติดปากว่า "น้ำมันซักแห้ง" เป็นตัวทำละลายชนิดหนึ่ง ที่ไว้สำหรับผสมเจือจางสี ทำให้สีแห้งไวขึ้น โดยมากมักจะมีสีน้ำเงิน ซึ่งทำให้ดูคล้ายกับน้ำมันก๊าดที่มีสีน้ำเงินเหมือนกัน ไม่เหมาะกับการนำมาจุดเตาและตะเกียง เนื่องจากจะทำให้อุดตันได้อย่างง่ายดาย เมื่อทิ้งไว้นานๆจะเกิดเป็นคราบแข็ง

ก็สามารถที่จะสรุปว่า Solvent ถ้าเราพูดถึง องค์รวม ก็คือตัวทำละลาย การนำ Solvent มาใช้ต้องเฉพาะเจาะจงลงไปว่าเป็นตัวทำละลายชนิดไหน

จากที่กล่าวมาแล้ว จะเห็นได้ว่า น้ำมันเชื้อเพลิงแต่ละชนิด ก็เหมาะกับเตาและตะเกียงที่ออกแบบมาให้ใช้โดยเฉพาะ ควรหลีกเลี่ยงที่จะนำมาใช้ผิดประเภท อันอาจทำให้เกิดความเสียหายขึ้น เช่นนั้นแล้วน้ำมันแต่ละชนิด เป็นสารที่ติดไฟได้ ควรระมัดระวังและพึงระลึกใส่ใจอยู่เสมอถึงกฏแห่งความปลอดภัย แล้วเราก็จะมีความสุข....

ทำสิ่งดีๆ เพื่อสังคม และอนุชนรุ่นหลังได้ศึกษาเกี่ยวกับตะเกียง ตามนโยบาย "คนรักษ์ตะเกียง"

งานนี้ทาง ชมรมสยามตะเกียง ( Siamlantern )และสมาชิก ได้เตรียมการมานานหลายเดือนก่อนหน้านั้น นับตั้งแต่ เริ่มเก็บรวมรวมตะเกียงหลากขนิด และอุปกรณ์ต่างๆที่จะเข้า พิพิธภัณฑ์ โดยสมาชิกก็ได้แสดงเจตจำนงค์ น้ำใจอันล้นเหลือ แบ่งปันตะเกียงมา ทุกสภาพ แล้วก็มาบูรณะตะเกียงให้เป็นรูปร่างที่สมบูรณ์ พร้อมที่จะให้ยลโฉม

ทางด้านสถานที่ พี่ซอไอ ก็ได้มีการติดต่อ กับ อ.เอนก นาวิกมูล ผู้ก่อตั้งบ้านพิพิธภัณฑ์
ไว้ล่วงหน้าแล้วได้ตู้เก็บตะเกียงมา 1 ตู้

แต่เนื่องจากโครงสร้างตู้เดิมความแข็งแรงไม่สามารถที่จะรับน้ำหนักตะเกียง จะต้องเสริม ซ่อมชั้นวางใหม่ ก็ได้พี่ภักดี(โกหมึก)ที่อ่างทองควบบุเรงนองพาหนะคู่ชีพเข้ามาดูสภาพตู้ วัดมิติ ตลอดจนอุปกรณ์ชั้นวางไม้ ฯลฯ ล่วงหน้าหลายครั้ง.

สิ่งสำคัญสิ่งหนึ่งหากมิกล่าวถึง กิจกรรมวันนี้ก็ไม่สามารถลุล่วงไปได้ แน่นอน ซึ่งต้อง อุทิศ

Direction for use for the Petrol ( Gasoline ) Camp Stove
Filling:

Unscrew pump A, fill tank with about 0.6 lite, ( 1 pint ) of the light gasoline/petrol containing no lead. Screw on pump tightly by hand.

If leaded gasoline is used in contained space, take care of ventilation, Never use gasoline mixed with lubricating oil or benzol possible without inclining same ( so that the filling hole will be in highest position )

Assembly of stove ready for use:

Bring the 3 support B into position as shown above by turning them about 90 degree.

Pre-heating:

Make sure that the spindle is closed. It is closed if the handwheel cannot be turned further to the right ( clockwise ).
Give 10 - 15 strokes with the pump A.
Lift the windshield E a little, and put methylated spirit or solid spirit in the pre-heating cup F, ignite.
The windshield can be removed altogether in calm weather or when in a wind protected place.
When pre-heating with solid spirit 2 - 3 tablets of about 0.5 gram each, distributed evenly, are sufficient according to the weather.
Larger tables should be broken into pieces so that they can be distributed evenly.
It is also recommended to moisten the tablets or pieces with gasoline as solid spirit is otherwise usually difficult to see alight.
In case of need pre-heating can be done with gasoline.

Lighting:

Immediately the pre-heating flame dies away turn burner hand wheel C slowly about 1/6th of a turn to the left and ignite the gas escaping from damper cap G.
When working without windshield E and pre-heating with methylated spirit or gasoline.
The windshield can be opened already just before the pre-heating flame expires.
In this case the gas escaping from the damper cap G ignites itself on passing through the pre-heating flame and need not be separately needed.
If no pure gas issued, close handwheel and newly pre-heat.

Reducing the flame:

Turn handwheel C slowly to the right until the desired flame strength is achieved.
The flame should not to be reduced beyond a point where it remains pure and begins to draw small white threads.
Reducing the flame by turning the handwheel to the left in time injures the cleaning needle.

Cleaning of the nipple:

Turn handwheel C several times all the way to the left and to the right
Keep a match ready so that the flame can be re-lit straight away

Extinguishing:

Clean nipple first, as described above, and then turn the handwheel all the way to the right.

A few hints:

Take care that the flame does not burn inside the damper cap G ( the blue small flames fail to issue through the small holes of the burner cap, and the latter becomes rapidly red-hot, making a roaring sound ).
Should this happen, close the burner handwheel C to the right, open again and newly light.
If the flame burns impurely ( except when turned very low, see above )the nipple is clogged and should be cleaned as described above.
If the stuffing box K causes smoke, tighten up to the right.
If the filling screw ( pump ) washer is damaged it should be exchanged as otherwise the pressure pumped in escapes, and the flame gathers no strength.
If the pump fails to work with resistance, unscrew pump lid, pull out pump rod and soften leather washer with flingers, then grease it and replace into pump tube and screw down pump lid.
If the stove is not to be used for some time the remaining gasoline should be emptied from the tank, as gasoline which stands a long time exudes greasy matter into the burner in the course of its evaporation.

Exchanging of burner Nipple M and cleaning Needle N:

Remove damper cap G first ( for this purpose turn it until the notch on its extremity lies below one of the tensions in the burner head ) after-wards remove the damper inner part H.

คู่มือการใช้งาน Phoebus 625, 625p

7. ปลอกกระบังลม มีไว้สำหรับกันลม อาจนำออกก็ได้ถ้าหากไม่มีลมพัดมา.

5. ถ้าหากยางชุดปั๊มช่องเติมน้ำมันเสื่อมหรือฉีกขาด ให้เปลี่ยนใหม่ เพราะจะทำให้ไฟที่หัวเตาอ่อน ไม่แรง เนื่องจากเก็บลมไว้ไม่อยู่.

6. ลูกยางปั๊มลมถ้าแข็งหรือเสื่อมสูบลมไม่เข้า ให้เปลี่ยนลูกยางใหม่
พร้อมทั้งทาจารบีสักเล็กน้อย.

7. ถ้าเตาไม่มีการใช้งานนานๆ ให้เทน้ำำมันเชื้อเพลิงออก.

การเปลี่ยนนมหนู M และเข็ม N

คำเตือน:

Use only approved Gasoline

Stand iron up on fount for filling and lighting
Be sure valve stem is closed tightly before filling fount
Put 1/3 pint gasoline in fount and pump in 15 strokes of air
Heat Generator thoroughly before opening valve and lighting
Open valve stem slowly and make sure cleaner knob is turn valve stem to right until tight.
