Nicole Farhi SS12 collection

Lately I have gotten so into the Nicole Farhi S/S 12 collection. I used to consider the brand as being too mature for myself and the younger age group but I guess I was wrong. For the S/S collection, the designer brand has introduced, or more or less like the other brands, adopted the pastel colour. The creamy yellow top is my favourite, not to mention the perfect cutting on the neck and the sleeves, indeed a perfect combination with the pure white shorts and sandals.

Speaking about the white shorts, I have been looking for a version like them on the high street for a very long time and as devastating to say, I still haven't been able to find one similar. The same case with the white sandals, luckily last year I was able to pick up a pair of almost similar version of these white sandals but only in black, from Zara. Needless to say, the white pair is of course much better looking and appropriate for the summer... So if anyone of you lovely people see it on any websites or in shops, please let me know! When I saw those sunglasses organised neatly on the wall at the Topshop showroom, I knew exactly what has got to be done... Start collecting eye candys (sunglasses)!

This is just a quick post of what I wore to the Lako Bukia fashion show. Of course, also to show you my new/old bag. Why? It's new because it's a new purchase and it's old because I have already had this bag before and due to a slight accident, I had to buy this bag again. Even though both times it costed me 80 pounds, still, it feels like one of those things I cannot live without. I remember how before I bought the bag for the second time, my heart twisted inside every time I see people on the tube with this bag.

At the end, my friend and I spotted an electrical car on the street and waiting to be charged, how interesting.

PVC skirt

These photos were taken last week when I was on my way to the Australian fashion showroom, only when my friend and I arrived at the building, the staffs said they had no idea an event was on and couldn't tell us the location of the event. Of course my friend and I were not just disappointed, but more like frustrated of the unorganised arrangement. Nonetheless, this is still not stopping me from going to the rest of the showrooms, of course not.

Tonight I will be attending the Lako Bukia Catwalk show organised by a fashion week event called the Vauxhall Fashion Scout, so, more photos this week from the show and I shall introduce you properly to Lako Bukia in a later post!

Pure London Feb 2012

London Fashion Week starts in 2 days and I am sure most of you are feeling the excitement already. My blogger friend, Chloe from Coco the blog, and I fortunately had the chance to experience the build up of excitement at the Pure London event. Pure London is a fashion buying and trading event that runs twice a year, in February and August for three days. This is definitely the event to attend if you want to meet new brands and designers.

Pure London was running for 3 days from 12th of February to 14th of February. During my two days of visit there I discovered many new and inspirational brands e.g. fount, Best Mountain, Nikita Karizma (named after the designer, who is a LCF graduate) and many more. After meeting so many inspiring brands and designers at the weekend, I have a determination to do interviews with these designers. More updates in later posts!

In the past 3 or maybe even 4 weeks, my life had been completely swamped with exams, I barely even had the time to eat or sleep, never mind posting anything on here! So, on monday, I met up with my blogger friend, Chloe, from Coco the blog, you can see her blog here. So Chloe kindly helped me shoot the photos for this post.

Recently I have had difficulties deciding what to wear, seeing that the weather in London these days had been unpredictable. Last week the weather in London was rather warm so I bought this amazing black pencil skirt in a rain coat material (sounds horrible, but I promise it looks really good) and planned on showing it on my blog. Unfortunately, London decided to snow, yes, this week. So, I guess we will wait then and in the meantime I can still enjoy the excitement of wearing the lovely skirt for the first time.

Festive mood

Are you still in a festive mood? Unfortunately I wasn't able to indulge myself in festive moods for Christmas and New year last year (2011). 2011 has had its ups and downs for me indeed, being such a nostalgic person as much as I am, I wish time would go back to the beginning of 2011... Anyway, enough of the past, more on the future.

So what goals have you guys set for yourself this year?

NYE: Friends and gold heels

Hello everyone, I am finally back again. I know I have been absent for a long time, again. So, to summarise what I have been doing... I think I am still adapting this fascinating London life, after 3 months I have moved here. I don't know whether to say it's because I'm adapting well (trying to see everything, I mean absolutely everything, in London), or I'm adapting badly and slowly.

Anyway, my way of celebrating this festive event NYE is by spending it and having fun with my good friends in London, along with my new shoes of course. Do you like them? When I bought them on the internet I thought they were merely a pair of really nice shoes, it wasn't until they arrived I then realised what a perfect pair of shoes they are! Despite the fact that these are probably 5 inches high, but with the platform and the comfortable sole inside, they are actually really easy to walk in. I managed to wear them and walked to several places for up to 4 hours without feeling having painful feet. Not to mention the fact that they were in the sale as well...

Late blog post...

Sorry guys, sorry for the massive blog break! So I have just recently moved to London and you know, you want to see a lot of London, right?.. In the past month I have just been busy making new friends (as you do in London), looking in shops and local markets. (In addition to this, I found the cutest, sweetest hat in Spitalfield last Friday. Can't wait to show you guys after I have cleaned the dust off my camera and take a photo with it.) So, London, yeah it's too much to take in all at once. Also, I'm still looking for a photographer... if you guys know anyone who would do it (voluntarily) or really cheap, let me know and drop me the name and email address in a comment box please!

As the Christmas lights are already up on Oxford Street and Regent Street, I have decided maybe it's time to slowly start progressing through my Christmas wish list as well. Of course, if you know me, by slowly I mean the list is going to be BIG.

P.s These are the photos my friends and I took for her uni course. I certainly had an amazing time pretending to be an art student.

Good-odd jackets

Sorry I haven't been able to post some outfit posts these days as I have just moved to London and barely know anyone. Not to mention know any photographers... So, jackets..., the first one is by Evil Twin and accordingly, it's called 'Thieves Shearling Sleeveless Jacket'. You get the picture. I would absolutely love to have this jacket for this winter. Not just the hood, but the texture and the material used just make the whole jacket more irresistible.

The second jacket... I don't know. I guess sometimes love just can't be explained...

I apologise for the photo heavy post! I know I haven't been able to post in the previous week so hopefully this photo heavy post can make it up to you guys.

So, I have had one of the busiest week... As I have told you before, I'm moving to London this month for further education. And just when I started getting really enthusiastic about moving to London, my halls of residence emailed me and said they happen to be over-subscribed. So thank god in the end I managed to find somewhere to stay. So, dilemma over.

Let's talk about clothes again... Just as I thought, it's time to get a grip and really see what's for this A/W, LFW starts emailing me about SS12! You just won't understand how I feel. Mixed emotions I guess...

I have a bum bags addiction

Hello everyone :) Today is my birthday and I had another best birthday again! I went through to Edinburgh to see my friend Eirene last night. It was an amazing night being with my friends, clubbing and making new friends. My friend Taylor helped me to take some photos of my outfit from last night. I'm still sorting them out, will put them on here in a post soon :)

Another thing is, I went vintage stores shopping today before I left Edinburgh and guess what I found?? A vintage Burberrys raincoat. It's too big and too long though so I'll have to get it resized. Can't wait until it's done so I can show you guys :) Another-another thing... My friend Eirene gave me the best birthday bracelet. There are charms on it and each of them represents a German car company. I shall take a photo of it soon and show you lovelies as well :)

The last taste of summer

So summer, where have you been hiding this year?? I cannot believe we're into September already and hardly had a taste of summer. The only taste I had would be when I was on holiday in July.

Back to the outfit, I really like this dungaree for its amazing colour. It has this washed out denim look which is just what I was looking for. The sad thing is, originally, I planned to wear a large cotton short sleeve t-shirt (GAP style) with this dungaree however, I failed to find one, hence the white shirt instead. In my opinion it looks a bit boring :( Needless to say, I will NOT give up continuing to find the 'perfect' t-shirt for this look!

P.S Sorry it's been a while since I last blogged, but I guess I have some exciting news...! I am finally moving away from home! And... I am moving to London! The city of shops and fashion in UK. Every morning I wake up, thinking it's probably a dream. So, I'm also not just moving to London, I will actually be attending university there as well but I promise, I will keep up with the blog.

Recently I have been trying to find a perfect bum bag but there aren't many options out there! Then I remember this shop called t.o.u.g.h that I came across when I was on holiday and asked a relative of mine to take a photo of the bum bags in that shop. And what did she find...? :)

I certainly had a difficult time trying to decide which one I should get until I came to the conclusion that, why not get the both of them?? In addition, if you know any websites that sell bum bags, let me know! I don't mind having a collection of them!

This time, I finally brought myself outside in the so-called good weather and got my outfit photos done by a close friend of mine. This view is most definitely better than the ones from my garden. In this post I'm wearing a maxi style dress that I bought back in June, I'm talking about, this dress was actually hung up in my wardrobe, untouched, for more than two months... The reasons to this were 1. I didn't want to wear it just in case I got any stains on this lovely dress; 2. I had this idea that this dress should be worn with heels until I tried it on today with a pair of flats. I think the dress has an amazing style itself already so wearing it with a pair of flats would be too over-dressing the whole look.

I have never posted more than 4 photos in an outfit post. There are a total of 6 photos in this post hence I absolutely LOVE this dress. I love the layers on this dress, I love how every time I look down at my dress, the layers are sitting differently however still look good. Second reason, right, so I love the way this dress blows in the wind... haha. You can honestly tell as I let my dress played with the wind in these photos. By the way, sorry for the total lack of sun light in these photos, it was the brightest point of the day...

So, summer is almost over (summer was over ages ago in Scotland, I'm wearing my Gap long sleeves hoodie as I speak), do we have any style ideas for A/W?

I have such an obseesion for jewelleries lately. I know my last post was on jewelleries, sorry but I'm blogging another post on the same topic again! Here are some pieces by Low Luv x Erin Wasson. I love Erin Wasson, but I love her designs/collaborations even more. Just as I was 'looking for jewellery ideas' on Shopbop, I ended up buying one of the pieces for myself! I really shouldn't sound surprised...

So, the last photo (the handpiece) is my new purchase, only in silver instead of gold and an evil eye instead of the triangle. I must not lie, even though by Erin Wasson, I got it for quite a good price, which makes me feel even more satisfied buying it...

Now, it's just the waiting, for this piece of beautiful to come home to mama...

Treasures...

Just a quick post on my jewelleries... As Fashionology is still having a sale on, of course I couldn't resist and bought this lovely bracelet, while I was surfing the net on my phone... This really proves I'm slowly driving myself towards the world of shopaholics, doesn't it? So, the rest of the necklaces/rings/bracelets/watches were either bought when I was on holiday or bought in stores when I was at home. Shamely I have already made some scratches on a few of the rings and bracelets... oh well, I could always buy the same ones again when I come across them in the future.

An usual problem I have with my silver coated copper/nickel jewelleries is, that the silver plated colour comes off rather quickly. I know that one of the solutions would be to buy some liquid silver and plate it silver again, however, are there any other ways??

Sorry for the lack of posting these days. My internet hasn't been working in a week now but woo... BT engineerer is coming on Friday morning so hopefully it will be fixed then. Have you guys got the Elle A/W collection edit?? I would really recommend it, it's such a good buy, totally allows you to keep a paper record of what went down the runway (I often have a problem forgetting what I saw in runway videos).

P.S I now have a second job, I can finally afford some Emporio Armani underwear ;) haha.

Reconsideration and reconstruction

Just a little post of what I wore today. You might wonder why the title of this post is called 'reconsideration and reconstruction'... Reconsideration as in reconsider what kind of styles I like and suit me; follows by reconstruction, as in re-arrange what pieces I might like to wear from now on.

I assume it's not just me, but we all go through stages of styles. Recently I have felt what I sometimes wear is a little bit, childish in a sense. So, I've decided to R&R and figure out what might be best for me for the year or even season coming. This involves with a lot of magazines reading. Of course, if you beautiful readers have any suggestions of styles you like, don't be shy to leave a comment!

So, as I said, I promised you an outfit post. Here I'm wearing the dress I bought when I was on holiday, it's one of my new favourites. I don't know French myself (which is a shame), so when I saw this dress in the shop I had to get my sister to translate the words on the dress for me, which turns out to be 'for women'. I really like the zip on the dress, which totally allows me to transform them into something completely different! This dress comes in black and khaki, I don't normally wear black that much myself but I have a feeling it'll be my colour for this winter...

This city showed me summer (2)

Sorry for the heavy photo post people. I just really want to share with you all the places I went to on holiday and how beautiful they were. One of the photos is my attempt to write my name on the sand but then the swash came and ruined it... I brought my hat with me on holiday, of course! Although it only made an appearance in the course of two weeks, my hat had a good trip to the sea. I have a post regarding my purchases on holiday and an outfit post in line. I just feel a little bit of clothes talk is in need and long awaited, right?

In addition, I want to make a little change to my blog so here's a little question to ask you beautiful readers... do you want to read more outfit posts, or inspirational photos posts, or 'what-to-buy, where-to-buy' posts?
