Well... it's certainly been too long.

So, I thought I'd get back to it by mixing it up...

In the past I have been very rigid by only using my photos and refrained from using other sightings. However, I'm having a change of heart, and from time to time I may use some of the amazing photos (thanks to the mail from my followers) to share with you.

So... who better than the legendary Space Invader spotted by a reader in Miami to kick things off! Love it, wish I had seen this one with my own eyes.

Making my rounds in Bushwick in search of Roberta's pizza, it was no surprise that I ran into this lovely piece by The Yok --a Brooklyn-based illustrator and street artist. The Yok has certainly made his presence known all over New York as well as the world. I suppose this work's emphasis on pizza is no coincidence with Roberta's just down the street..

Another female street artist gaining respect on the street is gilf! Notable for her political voice through her works (as shown here). I love this piece with stenciled choppers bombing love (dropping hearts) over the Tehran skyline.

Swoon Bushwick + Shoreditch

It's a pretty good day when you come across a Swoon paste. Swoon-- one of the few well known and acclaimed female street artists who is loved for her life-sized yet whimsical paste-ups. This finding was ever-so-sweet as I had seen the same piece in Shoreditch (shown below) almost two years ago. It's hard to say how long this one has been up in Bushwick but I enjoyed the nostalgia it brought me from my days in London.

Every time I visit Philly I fall more in love with this city; a place splattered with murals galore and creativity and whimsy at every turn. During almost every visit I spot a new mail bin that is pasted with a simplistic yet eye-catching motif. Now I can finally credit the man behind the magic-- Joe Boruchow. Legos have been making a HUGE comeback these days especially in the world of urban art. Take for example this recent article about rebuilding Lebanon with the use of Lego installations, the highly popular LEGO bridge by MEGX in Germany, and even the global movement dispatchwork that uses Legos to fill cracks of buildings all over the world; it's clear LEGO's aren't just for children anymore. Given the recent popularity of LEGO's it's no surprise that I spotted this in Williamsburg the other day. I am delighted and nostalgic every time I see LEGOs so this was no exception!

It goes without saying, I was thrilled to see SPACE INVADER in Tokyo-- an artist who's traveled the globe and filled countless cities with his timeless works. If there was any place made for Invader it would have to be Tokyo--with it's countless arcades and gamer fanatics! I spotted two of his mosaics (200 points for me) in Harajuku nestled into very unassuming spots.

Even though it has been over a year that has passed since the tragic events of the earthquake and it's terrible toll on Fukushima Daiichi, you can still feel the fear on the streets. 281_ Anti Nuke has placed this touching and powerful image all throughout Tokyo of a small girl wearing a parka and wellies and the phrase below reading "i hate [radioactive sign] rain"

During my visit in Tokyo I spotted NANAISREAL known in the Korean street art scene. Was pleased I got to see two paste-ups in the Harajuku area before I left town. This one is a simple white and black stenciling with the words "The Angry Girl Always Think She Can Do More Than She Can"... hmm.

Exhausted and jet lagged... I just returned home late last night from a wonderful trip to Japan. This lovable, colorful and childlike peacock paste really caught my eye as I was searching for a cozy place to have a nightcap in this charming little bar district.
