Love is such a beautiful thing, Today i found myself looking at pictures of my Friends who have found love and i looked at some of me and my hubby too, and i do have to say it got me all tearly eyed. It was beautiful to see how happy everyone looked, and because i know the story of all the couples it's even more touching, i know how far they have come to get to where they are. We have all had our UPS and Downs, we have all gone through the point when we wonder if we will we make it especially after a bad argument, and we do, that's how deep our love is, that's how strong the bond is. We have all gone through the whole long distance thing, and we know how hard it is, but because of that we have learnt to appreciate each other more, we have learnt to cherish what we have, and because of that we treasure it. We fight for it from the fibre of our beings, because we know that this is the person we are meant to be with, and we love them more than words can say.

Hello Luvvies!

One thing i find myself having an obsession with apart from shoes is Handbags and Jewerly. But today i will talk about Handbags. As some of you may know i love everything Kardashian, and i love Kim. Kim has a collection of Hermes Birkin Bags in lots of different colors. Her handbags always compliment what she is wearing and make a statement at the same time. And that's what i want with mine. So recently i have found myself on a mission, looking for my statement handbags, since i cant afford Kim K's Hermes bags now, a good quality look alike will do. After going straight to the shoes section when i enter a store, i find my next stop is the handbags, i have been browsing the web like crazy looking for websites with good quality handbags at good prices, and man do i have news for you.lol. Anyway so when i was in one of my day trips i discovered a shop, and the minute i walked in my jaw dropped, the handbags, oh my the handbags. Another Milestone

Its amazing how time flies, it seems like it was just yesterday when i was pregnant and carried Sean for 9 months, well its 10 months to be exact since he was late.lol. I remember everything i did to prepare for his arrival and how i couldn't wait to see him and finally hold him. Then that day arrived, October 16th. The most life changing experience that will live with me till the day i die. There he was, my gift, my perfect gift from above. His head so full of hair and body covered with the placenta liquids and he was crying.How relived i was to hear his cry, it was like music to my ears. I remember the nurse placing him on my chest, this was the moment i had been waiting for 10 months, and it was finally here. I held him close and kissed him on the forehead. My baby was Born.

When i got to take Sean home i knew a whole new life was ahead of me, ahead of us. And i couldn't wait to take on this new challenging but very rewarding role, being a mother. I remember talking to my hubby and telling him how beautiful Sean was, i got all tearly eyed and told him this is the best thing he could ever give me. Us having a child together was a symbol of our love and we were the happiest, still are.

Each day with Sean is a new day, there is always something to look forward to. As each day goes by, its another milestone for him, for me. I remember when i first started seeing him smile, what a beautiful smile i thought and what a happy baby he is. In 4 months he started on solids, 6 months he was sitting, 10 months he started teething, 12 months he started taking his first steps and in 15 months he starts saying a few words till eventually repeating after what you say or what he hears on TV. We were together during the special occasions like his birthday, Christmas and his first holiday trip to Tanzania. Life with him is simply beautiful.

Anyway so this week was another milestone is Sean's life, not only did he turn 18 months he also started nursery. And i do have to say what an emotional experience it is for me.lol. Sean is very active and smart, so i thought why should he just be home, were he doesn't even have siblings and only has adults to interact with when he can be in nursery, where he gets to learn and interact with other kids. Plus he would be getting out of the house and exploring the world.

This week was a settling in period for him which meant that I would go with him and start to slowly withdraw, because the last thing we want is for me to just leave him there and for him to realise that am gone and start crying crazy.lol. Though Sean is not really like that, it's important that the child is happy and settles in well especially in new environments. The lady in charge at the Nursery explained. She was very nice, welcoming, she made me feel comfortable at the thought that I was going to be living my child there, especially since she knew everything she was talking about, I was well informed and any queries I had were answered instantly. Plus I got to see the other children playing and how they interacted with them, and I instantly knew this is where I want my child to be. Mind you I had tried to register Sean at another Nursery which was much bigger but sadly they have a year's waiting list. Just when I was about to give up this one came up.i found this nursery way more welcoming compared to the other one and i believe everything happens for a reason. At least now I have an idea of what to look for when Sean starts school.lol.

Since its just settling in period first, as I was doing all the paperwork Sean was able to play with the other kids, this would help them review him and see how well he settles in, if he will be happy there etc, I could see him turning to see if I was still there, or sometimes he would forget and just play, sometimes he would come and bring me the toys and want me to play too,lol, but he was definitely enjoying himself. Seeing that brought such joy to my eyes, he was a little boy now, so grown and seeking his independence. When it was time to go there he was by the door waving and saying "Bye bye Mummy". It got me all tearly eyed but I had to contain myself, he made me chase him to go and get him, I could see he didn't want to leave, this was a bitter/sweet moment for me and am sure most mothers out there will understand why.

Day two of settling in, i got to drop him and hang around for about 15 minutes but in another room where Sean couldn't see me, then i was told i could leave and come get him after a few hours. There i was looking at him happily playing and having so much fun as i left, i started thinking, now what do i do with myself, i was already missing him. I spoke to his dad and there i was crying, i couldn't help it, my baby was all grown, right before my eyes. Now i understand why each mother i talk to who has kids who are older telling me, " Enjoy and Cherish each and every moment", which i do but this week was another wake up call, i don't want to wake up one day and there he is off to college,lol, though i know that i will, thinking how fast time has gone by. But hopefully I'll have all the memories with me and i would be pleased that i did a good job and hopefully Sean will be too.

Luvvies,

It was my besti Esmie's birthday a couple of weeks back and i went to celebrate with her. We had an amazing time, just like old times, it was also my first weekend away from Sean, gosh i missed him. Anyway i love what me and Esmie wore, rocking the spring neon trend, working the brights. I love how we both had something that made a statement and we worked our way around it, with Esmie's being the dress and me the shoes. I did both our make up, i love making a statement with my eyes, so i wore green to compliment my shoes and Esmie just went for a simple sophisticated gold look. I think we looked good. As some of you may recall one of my first posts was about my kid bro, who i thought had incredible style and has been evolving each day. Well today i am here to share with you his new style, i love how he takes risks, he is his own person and the way he dresses definitely says it. He can be smart, casual, sporty, even play with stuff a bit. I love how he can pull of the bow tie and suspenders look, and how he even makes wearing socks high look dope. I love how me and my brother can talk fashion, share our love for shoes, we can both call each other with a crisis, "what to wear?" and there's nothing we hate like having a "waste of outfit".lol. My brother and my hubby love to dress well, and i love a man who knows how to present himself, who knows what works for him and what doesn't. Yummy Mummy of the week

I am sure everyone has their own meaning of being a yummy mummy or how they expect a yummy mummy to be, with the main one being always looking good. And yes that maybe so but to me being a yummy mummy is so much more than that but it definitely plays a huge part.

Yummy Mummy to me is a strong woman, who is well educated, she knows herself and what she's about, she fights for what she believes in, she is always dressed H2T (Head to Toe), She holds it down for her family and friends. She appreciates life, she is grateful and thankful especially for the perfect gift, her blessing and that's her child. There is so much more i can write but i will end there for now.

So this brings me to my Yummy Mummy of the week, and that's my friend Sophia, I met her through my hubby, they used to hang out a lot. I got to chill with her a few times and she is the nicest person. She also has a baby boy named Jason who is months apart from Sean. I share her joy, and i can clearly see she is enjoying motherhood. Kanumba The Great

Most of us never met him but it feels like we did, most of us didn't know him but it feels like we did, He was one of Tanzania's greatest talent, he touched us through his Art. The Tanzanian movie industry has truly lost a great talent, and we have lost a great entertainer. He cared for the community and was all about uplifting others. Even though the cause of death is not yet known, his untimely death is a shock to us all, may the lord give his family and friends strength during this difficult time.

Rest in Peace Steven Kanumba, you will be greatly missed.

MIRACLES: A journey to recovery

My Luvvies,

A couple of weeks ago my dearest, closest friend Harrieth had an accident. She was carrying a jug of VERY hot water and she slipped and it went on her face, a bit on her head and hands. When she bbm'd me to tell me i was in utter shock, i could feel her pain and i was hurting as well. The picture she sent me just brought tears to my eyes, why did this have to happen i thought? Why is it happening to her? Why now? Harrieth had an exam that she was supposed to write in an hour. So she was quickly rushed to the hospital, she said she was screaming because she was in so much pain that they had to inject her with pain relief. Then she resumed to her exam because it was an end of semester exam that could not be postponed.

She would tell me about how some of the friends she thought were her friends turned out not to care, or not care as much as she wanted them to. She said people would stare at her when she would go out, she said most of the times she just wanted to cry, so she would cry silently or wait till she gets home and would let it out. I was very moved and touched, and i would try and tell her all these things to encourage her, that she would get better, she should just give herself time to heal, she should eat well to ensure her skin grows back well, i told her that whatever the case she would still be pretty and she was still pretty, there are so many anti-scaring creams she could use, i told her not to give up, and that she should pray. I am sure i am not the only one who had encouraging words for her.

One thing that everyone told her is how lucky she was. Her burns didn't reach her eye, because if they did then she would have been blind on one side, Her head wasn't bad either, because then she would have had to shave her head, Her nose was partially burnt and her ears, but not bad, Her lips which she loves, were not burnt either, so she will be able to wear that pink MAC lipstick i got her, lol , Her eyebrows that she loves as well, are still there, she wont have to draw them on and mostly it looks like she wont have a scar. Even if she does it wont be a horrible one, nothing she cant cover up with make up.

We live in a world where so much attention is paid into how we look, and we ourselves are always very insecure and critical of our appearances, mostly influenced by what we think beauty is, all these media, celebrities etc, they all play a role. But i think its about time people started to appreciate themselves for what and who they are. We need to learn how to love ourselves and thank GOD for all the good fortune we have in our lives. I always say that, " No matter how your sad and blue, Just know that there's some one whose got it worse than you" and Whitney couldn't have said it better.... "Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all"

Anyway with all that said, my luvvies i am glad to say that Harrieth is looking well, and it has only been a couple of weeks, I am sure she will be even better in days to come. GOD is amazing, and he does listen to our prayers, and mostly he works in miraculous ways. Here are some pictures of Harrieth for you to see her journey towards recovery.

7 Questions that save you cash

So i came across this article on Yahoo Finance by Felicity Hannah and i thought i should share it with you. Like most i love spending money, and sometimes i dont spend it wisely. I found this article helpful, i hope it is to you as well.

If you want to cut back on your spending then taking a moment to think through a few set questions can give you the breathing space you need to make the right decision.

Here are the questions I work through before spending anything above £30.

1. Is it worth the work?
The amount of money something costs is not necessarily the best way to judge whether or not you need it. The high price of big ticket items like cars risks warping our view of what’s an acceptable amount to spend.

So try to not look at the price tag alone. Instead, work out how many hours of work this purchase is going to cost you and ask whether that’s worth it. Don’t forget to cut tax off your hourly rate – that can be a big shock.

2. What’s the opportunity cost?
Opportunity cost is a basic economics concept, but somehow it’s all too easy to forget. To put it simply, when you buy one thing, you have to forego something else.

If you buy a £5 box of Thortons, you can’t buy 29 and a half Freddos. Use this logic on your other spending; it can really shift your focus. For example, if you buy that laptop, you probably can’t afford that holiday.

Like working out the number of hours work a purchase costs, this really shifts your focus. Do you still want X if it means losing Y and Z?

3. Is this your priority?
Impulse buys are exactly that, impulses. They are rarely the most rational decisions we make. That’s why stepping aside to evaluate the purchase is so important. Ask yourself whether this really is a priority and why.

Only proceed if you are confident that this purchase fits with your main goals and plans. For example, if your main goal is to become debt-free then that Xbox probably isn’t a priority.

4. Are you clear-headed?
We’re most susceptible to impulse purchases when we’re tired, hungry or a little under the weather. So it’s a bad idea to go shopping if you’re not feeling 100%.

Before you make a big purchase, think about how you feel. If you recognise that you’re not at your best then stop. Go and grab a sandwich or come back to the decision another day. There’s nothing worse than regretting a big purchase because you weren’t in the right frame of mind to shop.

5. Are you being pressured?
If a sales person is good at their job then you won’t necessarily feel that they’re being pushy. That’s another reason it’s so important to pause and reflect before making a big purchase. Take the time to think carefully about the package a salesperson is offering and to research whether it’s as good as he or she claims.

Also, remember that it’s not just salespeople that can pile on the pressure. Deadlines, like sales or one-day offers on websites like Groupon can hurry you into a purchase that you’re not ready for. Always give yourself time to think.

6. Is this the best deal?
There’s so much competition on the high street and online that you should always question whether or not you could find a better deal.

It’s so easy these days to compare prices using the internet. If you’re out shopping and you have a smartphone then it makes sense to never buy anything expensive without searching the net for a better deal first.

7. Can you afford it without credit?
Buying stuff on credit increases the cost and you should factor that into the price. For example, if you pay £1,000 for a sofa but leave it on a credit card charging 19%, you’re going to pay a lot more and you need to factor that into the price.

If you only tend to make the minimum repayments then you could end up paying for your purchase several times over.

Always work out the credit cost of a big purchase and then ask yourself if you can still afford it.

Hello Luvvies,

A few posts ago i told you about Victoria Beckham and Kourtney Kardashian and how they inspire me to be a Yummy Mummy. From how they raise their children to their fashion sense. They each inspire me differently. Here are some pictures of me, out and about with Sean, together with some of Victoria and kourtney and you will get my point. lol.

Victoria is always on her A game, she's always wearing heels and she always looks fabulous. I love my boots, they are 10inc high and i feel sexily empowered when i wear them. lol

Kourtney is always looking fabulous too. There's days where she kinds of dressees down, she just looks simple, that's what i do sometimes, i love heels but i can rock a pair of flats or sneakers as well. I love how her and Mason are matching, thus Sean and i are both rocking Amplified Tee'z.

I love the handbag that both Victoria and Kourtney are caring, thats why i bought my almost look a like. lol
