BIANCA STARR x 2017

So looks like I took a year off of updating my cute little blog. 2017 is here and I am back ready to start posting more of my work. We were on a little bit of a hiatus travelling back and forth from CHICAGO, TEXAS, PORTLAND, HAWAII AND our FAVORITE, NYC but we are looking forward to more INTERNATIONAL travelling this year. Stay close to see where we start and end 2017.

BIANCA STARR x MOVING PARTS

It's incredible to look back on my blog and see that we have not posted anything in months. What once was my diary, is now my bookmark on the internet. In short, we have been back and forth from NYC to Chicago pretty regularly.

Chicago has definitely won my heart in more ways than one. I felt the end of the summer love, the beginning of the mystical fall turned warm winter which eventually turned into a mild but freezing bo situation . I have met a plethora or good people and have composed quite the list of sophisticated lounges and restaurants.

Looking forward to more!

Here are some favorite moments from CHI - TOWN!

BIANCA STARR x WALL STREET

It was great to be back in the old stomping grounds of Wall Street. Luckily, I was put up there in a decent hotel and was able to experience a little day and nightlife. What a mystical place. So many memories of my E*TRADE Days running through the trading floor of the NYSE to find out that it's now a newsroom for CNN. Wow how things have changed. The one thing that has not is it's sex appeal. Wall Street is So Damn Sexy.

Thank you to Oscar Grande with Poder, Maria Zamudio with Causa Justa and Andy Blue with the 16th St Coalition for all you do and leading us every step of the way to fight against the unjustices that are occurring everyday with the displacement of working families out of their homes.

We marched from 16th Street to 20th and Florida to the office of the developer who is proposing the #NOMONSTERINTHEMISSION project. (we named it that...clever)

It is a 350 UNIT, 10 story building that it completely out of place or our neighborhood and will contribute to changing the environment in which we live and not to mention casting a shadow on the playground of Marshall Elementary located on 15th & Capp Streets.

Cuffs * Pleats*Glove Love & Bling ::::::: Winter We Love You Too ::: Trends for Winter 2015

2015-03-25T12:16:00.001-07:00

Fashion month has come to a close, and while we had a lot of fun out there on the streets, the real point of all of this, of course, is to look forward to next season. Watching every single runway show from all of the cities has taught us a lot, so here, we rounded up this very comprehensive trend guide to everything you will be seeing, shopping, and wearing in the months to come

_________________________________________________________________________________

Bling is back! After seasons of oversized jewelry with minimal design, we've made a return to very feminine, sparkly jewelry, like the brooches at both Prada and Balenciaga and the big earrings that

were pretty much everywhere.

Carwash pleats made their case early in New York for being the skirt shape of the season and then by the time Paris rolled around and Raf Simons showed them on the Christian Dior runway, their fate was certain. The new way to show off those gams next season will be through these pleats.

Cuffin' season refers to that time in late October/early November when the days start to get short and cold and you need to lock down a steady hookup so that you don't have to wander around in the frigid winter looking for love. The cuffin' season trend is sorta like that...except with sleeves! The commitment is minimal: You don't actually need fur on the whole coat, just the sleeves, and really, you only need it for the winter.

You guys, she did it, Amal made gloves happen. You can say it's a coincidence, but you would be wrong. Everyone loves Mrs. Clooney, especially Miuccia Prada, who proved to us that gloves are way better than sleeves.

The first time we set our eyes on Miss Domonique was when she was 18 years old sneaking into our first business. The club business. The sleazytown, underground, legendary and oh so incestuous 222 Club aka 222 Hyde in the Tenderloin.

It was the kind of place where magic was created. more pics from that era...

Since her premier as the "it" fashionista in SF, she headed to where anyone who is ready for the big time heads... New York City.. We are happy to have her back in the Bay Area as a featured designer at this year's 2015 Hot Couture Show at the Crucible in West Oakland this Jan 9 & 10, 2015.

2014 <----- SEE YA ..... You've been great

2015-01-03T15:04:00.000-08:00

BIANCA STARR x 2015

We are happy to say good bye to 2014 and welcome the NEW YEAR! We are thrilled about what 2015 has in store for us. We have been able to do a lot of reflecting and deciding what our path is. We have the opportunity to build something amazing out of what started off as a small boutique in the Mission District. Since then, we realize that the possibilities are endless and the countless opportunities that we have been given are all the answers to the bigger picture that LIFE has in store for us. #BiancaStarrProductions #BiancaStarrStyling #BiancaStarrMedia #BStarrEverything

***SHIFT THE PARADIGM***

Earlier this year, we were invited to work with the SOBE Food and Wine Festival with our client Esurance. They were the official sponsor of the South Beach Food and Wine Festival. Our team was able to activate over 20k guests with the latest FIDM technology that helped shape 2014. With this technology, attendees were able to collect data and recipes of all the food and wine they devoured as well as so much more!

When were we asked to collaborate earlier this year on a clothing venture to raise money for the non-profit organization La Mission Por Vida, we never once hesitated to say yes. We were pleased to serve as the creative directors for the shoot to represent the soul of La Mission as well as design the first pieces of apparel that assisted in shaping this creative and donative organization. Thank you for including us this year and looking forward to collaborating in 2015. La Mission Por Vida is an organization dedicated to providing clean water to communities who need it the most. Their latest project is in El Salvador. You can find out more info at https://www.facebook.com/lamissionporvida. #WaterForHope

We always encourage to stand up whenever you believe in something that sparks a fire inside of you. This year we were able to take a stand in so many ways. From the murder of Alex Nieto on Bernal Hill by speaking up at town hall meetings, to the controversial Mission Playground v. Dropbox incident which shaped the narrative of the ongoing issue of gentrification.

Leica was taken on as a new client of ours in 2014. We were so impressed with their quality and precision with their state of the art cameras and we proud to be part of their opening of their new flagship store in Union Square. Thank you and looking forward to more in 2015!

This past year we also connected with the SOL GATE Studios in Oakland and are elated (yes elated) to announce that in 2015 we will be working on some media coverage which will bring us back in front of the camera. With this relationship, we have also linked with a fabulous photographer by the name of Charles Schoenberger who has brought out the essence of the BIANCA STARR Style.

So the year begins with our 2015 HOT COUTURE FASHION SHOW AT THE CRUCIBLE where our BIANCA STARR team will produce the event with the supprt of the Crucible in Oakland..

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT and you can contact us at Bianca@BiancaStarr.Com
