My friend was unable to adjust the brightness setting in her Lenovo T14 Gen 5 laptop. It stayed at 100% brightness, but the screen was too dim to read.

I tried to update the drivers under the Display Adapter and Monitor settings in Device Manager.

Gemini gave me the following suggestions and more, but I focused on the following:

Brightness control issues are commonly caused by disabled or outdated graphics drivers.
Enable Driver: Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, right-click your graphics card (Intel or AMD), and ensure it is not disabled. If it is, select Enable device.
Update/Reinstall: Right-click the display adapter and select Update driver. If that fails, uninstall the device, restart your laptop, and let Windows reinstall the driver automatically.
Lenovo Vantage: Run a system scan using the Lenovo Vantage app to ensure all specific ThinkPad display and video drivers are installed.

I used the second option and updated the driver from the previous update version, the screen became brighter and normal to use.

I was looking for a charging port in the case, but I couldn't, instead I found the battery compartment. Now, I can change it easily. Mine is an older generation of this Logitech Slim Folio iPad case (for iPad 5 & iPad 6); they don't have a pinhole, but a bigger, flat one. I was unable to pair the remote with a used Roku 3 player my friend bought. First, I changed the batteries in the remote and pushed the pair button for 10 to 20 seconds; it didn't pair at first. But, after I reset the Roku 3 (the pen didn't work, but I used a pin that I use to reset routers) like the tech blogger in the video suggested, it restarted and paired with the remote automatically. Now, both of them work fine.

If you have trouble getting Amazon codes at RewardCodes.com, instead of attempting too many times do the following:

1.) Clear cache and cookies before starting a new browsing session.
2.) Try a different device to access your Reward Link.

My friend didn't clear the browser cache for a long time, so I helped her clear the cache, and then the RewardCodes link worked perfectly. You can also use a new browser to activate the codes.

This is a recent issue with the Chrome browser. Reddit folks have discovered that it is the Malwarebytes extension causing this problem.

To fix this problem, click the Malwarebytes extension and turn off Ads/Trackers on the YouTube site as shown in the picture below.

If you want to reset the Surface laptop to factory settings and if there is a login screen with a password, then do the following steps:

Keep the Surface with its power on, so you won't lose the whole resetting process.
From the Windows sign-in screen, select the Power in the lower-right corner of the sign-in screen.
Press and hold the Shift key.
While the Shift key is still pressed or selected, select Restart.
After the Restart, you will see several options, select the Troubleshoot option and select Reset Your PC.
Choose one of the two options, Just remove my files or Fully clean the drive.
Select Reset. The Surface restarts with a new installation and will take several minutes.

This error could be because CTFMON.exe is not booting up at startup. Use the video tutorial to fix the problem.

Open Registry Editor and go to this location:

and create a new string with the value name 'ctfmon' and Value data 'C:\Windows\System32\ctfmon.exe' as shown below:
