You may get a better understanding on how to handle and look after them. The RC cars are created for flat and smooth surfaces, the monster trucks are made for off road driving. RC cars have very low ground clearance, but monster trucks have a very high ground clearance. Radio control trucks have superb suspensions with large tires that allow them to jump of rough terrains without breaking. The RC cars comparatively have smaller tires and tight suspensions making it difficult for them to ride on tough terrain. This is an important difference to point out so that you are not driving too recklessly with your RC cars and destroying the undercarriage of the vehicle, then before you know if you are purchasing replacement parts or an entirely new RC car. Leave it to the trucks and monster trucks to do the jumps off the dirt ramps.

Anyhow, all kinds of radio controlled toys need regular maintenance and care, just like your regular car, so it is better if you have a basic set of RC tools handy for any necessary regular repairs. Currently two magazines offer repair tips on radio controlled toys, they are Radio Control Magazine and Car Action Magazine. Several brands create tools, which are made exclusively for the Radio controlled cars. You must look for brands like Hudy, Tamiya, Duratrax, Kyosho, Dynamite, Traxxas Jato, and Niftech. These tools will ensure that your RC toy stays as nice as ever. You need to be aware that RC toy parts are much smaller than those found in regular vehicles, so you'll need to make sure you have the smaller tools for your repair and maintenance work.

The Basic RC tools setup should include the following:

Tool Box Small and precision screwdrivers Standard precision nut drivers Hex wrenches which is also known as the most essential RC tool Flat-head screwdrivers Philips-head screwdrivers Needle nose pliers

With the above basic RC tools you should be able to do basic repairs, installations, and upgrades on your RC toy. These days, RC toy manufacturers provide their own tools such as a glow-plug wrench, combination tools, and ready-to-run models and kits.

I have given below in detail some of the parts and how to use them on your RC toy.

Screwdrivers and wrenches: One or two screwdrivers at the max should be sufficient for your repairs. But if you have them in different sizes, it will help you encounter any type of screw or nut.

Pliers: Due to the size of RC vehicles having needle nose pliers is a better option than standard pliers.

Car stand: A car stand can lift your RC vehicle up to provide easy access to all the parts. It is not absolutely essential but a nice item to have when there is lot of repair and maintenance to do on a single vehicle.

Cutting and fastening tools: These tools are multi-functional tools that are extremely necessary. They have many uses like cleaning, cutting, drilling, shaping, and sanding.

Batteries and chargers: A digital multi meter is a testing tool for your battery and electronic circuits. Peak charger can speed up charge times and protect your battery from overcharging.

Oils and glues: It is important to keep your tires glued to the rims, which keeps your tires from falling off. Your after-run maintenance must have various fluids like shock oil, air filter oil, and after-run oil.

We highly recommend having the following in your tool kit:

Tire glue Shock oil Air filter oil After-run oil Extra battery packs Variety of crystal sets Extra glow plugs Extra fuel Extra fuel tubing Extra cotter pins

Whether you are serious about your RC toy or not, learning to use RC car tools is lot of fun. It allows you to have a better understanding of the inner components and workings in your RC toy. If you choose an electric radio controlled car or truck instead of gas powered, most of the oils and things won’t be needed for your RC toy tool kit, but you never know when the mood will strike to add another challenge to your hobby!
Likewise, should motorcyclists stay off the road if we cannot take the summertime heat? Riding in extreme temperatures during the summertime can be quite challenging. There is overbearing heat, the draining humidity, and the threat of dehydration. However, you can certainly certain steps, in order to survive summertime cruising on your motorcycle. Here are some useful tips:
1. Avoid looking like a lobster

Keep in mind that the sun can burn through lightweight fabrics. Thus, you should consider wearing outer attire such as heavy cotton and denim. Furthermore, use sunblock with the highest Sun Protection Factor (SPF) available. Focus on any exposed areas, and reapply the sunblock periodically.

2. Wear the right gear and clothing

It is important for you to safeguard your body sufficiently, when selecting gear and clothing for summertime riding. For instance, wear Harley Davidson motorcycle boots, rather than sandals. On the other hand, here are some items to help you avoid buying new sets of lightweight riding gear:

 • Body armor built into clothing, rather than the rider wearing atop it

• Clothing with light colors. You should deviate this one time from the standard all-black motorcycle motif.

• Full-face helmet of a light color. You might be shocked, but cruising with a closed helmet visor can actually be cooler.

• Light scarf (cotton)

• Mountain bike gloves

• Sunblock to safeguard skin that is exposed

• Sunglasses

• Zip-off pants with knee and shin guards atop it

 3. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

Constantly hydrate with water or sports drinks. This is the most important step to take when motorcycling in sky-high temperatures. Water bottles are an excellent option, as you can hydrate while on the road. Remember that when you perspire, your body loses salts, in addition to water. Thus, consider drinking sports drinks, or some salted snacks.

4. Cool yourself (and your clothing if necessary)

You will feel cooler when you and your clothing are wet. In moderately hot temperatures, wet your hair and scarf. If the temperatures are sizzling, then wet everything in sight and do it hourly.

5. Cover up when the weather is hotter than your body

This may seem ludicrous at first. However, here are some justifications. First, you will form a cooler "microclimate" surrounding your body. Secondly, you will prevent major sunburn. Finally, you will lose less water due to the evaporation of perspiration. While you should avoid wearing a fur coat, simply covering up your body will achieve the aforementioned goals.

6. Prevent exhaustion

Studies have shown that motorcyclists can actually reduce the rates of accidents, by taking short rest breaks periodically. Stop and stop often to stretch your legs, get a drink of water, and take a catnap.

While summertime can be ruthless for motorcyclists, taking the aforementioned steps can keep you cool, and help to avoid exhaustion, sunburns, dehydration, etc. Stay cool while riding in hot temperatures!

About the Author

For more tips and information about harley davidson motorcycle boots, please check out http://www.harley-davidson-boots.net.

It is often difficult to decide what toys are interesting and appropriate for young children. Remote control toys, however, are a tried-and-true choice for kids of all ages and even for adults. This guide will help you choose the right remote control toy for your family and friends.

What is the difference between toy-grade and hobby-grade remote control (RC) toys?
Toy-grade RC toys and hobby-grade RC toys are designed for children of different age groups. Toy-grade toys are designed with kids in mind and cost less. Hobby-grade toys are comparatively more expensive and require skill to operate. Some of these toys are better handled by adult enthusiasts. Replacements and upgrades are not offered for toy-grade models but are available for hobby-grade toys.

What are the different RC toys available?

Remote control toys come in many shapes and sizes. Radio controlled toys are often grouped under RC toys as well. These toys are either Ready to Run (RTR) or Ready to Fly, straight out of the box. Both these models are perfect for kids with a bit of technical knowledge and interest.

Cars and Trucks:
These are the most basic RC toys available. A large majority of hobbyists start off buying RTR models and then move on to purchasing more advanced models. If your kid just can't get enough of trucks, choose a nitro, monster, mini or and electric model.

Off-Road Vehicles:
Off-road carriages and giant trucks are also common starter RC toys. They have big, knobby tires and can run on dirt roads and up steep inclines. Many of these trucks and carriages have 4-wheel drive. Their speeds range from 16 km/h to 40 km/h.

On-Road Vehicles:
Crafted for tracks and pavements, on-road cars are comparatively faster and more efficient. Some of the fastest models available have speeds of up to 80 km/h. These toys are approximately 45 cm in length. A few on-road models have 4-wheel drive as well.

Air and Sea Toys:
RC toy airplanes, helicopters, boats, hovercrafts and rockets are also available and can be upgraded over time.

Electric and Gas Toys:
Some RC vehicles run on rechargeable batteries, whereas others are powered by gas. Electric cars make less noise, so they can be used indoors. Sadly, their performance does not compare to nitro cars. RC nitro cars get their name from the fuel they run on, namely nitro methane. This fuel increases both their power and speed. RC nitro cars are great for all those racers who are looking for the fastest RC vehicle on the market. However, they are harder to maintain than electric cars.

What factors should be considered when buying a RC toy?

Remote control toys can get expensive, so unless your kid is already interested, stick to basic toy cars or electric trucks. It is also very important that the remote control toy is easy for your children to use. Opt for RC toys with simple controllers if your kid is still quite young.

Standby and Charge Time:
Check standby and charge times. Keep in mind that a short-run time will lead to more charging. Children may lose interest in toys that must be charged frequently.

Durability:
Durability is another vital factor of RC toys. Toys with heavy-duty tires and bodies are long-lasting. In general, trucks and cars are more durable than airplanes.

Size:
Do your kids take their toys with them, wherever they go? Then select small, more portable toys. Big toys will most likely go unused if your children cannot carry them around. RC toys in small sizes are easy to store, fit easily into hands of your child and can be taken along on long drives and vacations. If you live in a small apartment without a nearby park or playground, it is also better to opt for small RC toys. For indoor play, robots and hovercrafts are ideal.
However, bigger toys with few small parts are better for homes with kids of many ages. You should keep in mind that RC toys are not made for toddlers and babies. Remote control toys, especially ones with small tires, can be a choking hazard for very young kids.

Design:
Kids tend to prefer toys with ringing bells, whistles, flashing lights and engine sounds. There are also many RC toys modeled after popular characters like Spider-man, Batman and the Transformers.

Multi-player:
Do your kids love to go head-to-head in battle? Then buy remote control toys toys with different frequencies. Toy-grade RC models run on a 27 or 49 MHz frequency. Frequency details can be found on the box or online under the toy's specifications. RC toys with quadfrequency settings allow up to four children to play together at one time.

About the Author
Bob Shanty has been researching and writing articles that help shoppers make more educated buying decisions on for remote control toys for online shopping mega store BIGshop for years. ATV owners are individuals with the ability to face whatever life throws at them with style and a zest for life.
There is an endless variety of ATV accessories like clothing, bags, and storage boxes, aftermarket pipes, fuel storage device , ATV Wheels, high compression pistons, coolers ,air filters, bottle holders, fender bags, camouflage clothes, helmet, etc... to make your ride more comfortable and convenient.
Tips to increase ATV performance

Using performance piping will give a 10 to 25 percent increase to your ATV's performance
four stroke engine is a high-performance cam and a high compression piston.
Switching from a foam filter to a gauze filter can also give a better flow rate.
ATVs are divided into 2 Types:

Utility ATV :: The utility ATVs are used mainly for farming and construction.
Sports ATV :: The sports ATVs are used for their ability of going over all most all types of terrain except water.

When it comes to buying ATV, there's nothing more important than knowing that the machine is not only nice on the eyes, but it's also professionally designed and is absolutely safe!

There are certain thing to look for when Buying An ATV
There's nothing more important then safety.

Eye/Face Protection / Helmets / Hearing Protection
Brand quality and reliability.

Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki are the leading brands in ATV in performance as well as sports look too
What are the age & the skills of the riders.

is it for your kid then go for a kids ATV / if you are riding first time join ATV Safety Institute's safety courses first locally.
Do you need four wheel drive or will two wheel drive do.

If you'll be riding your ATV climbing steep rocky slopes go for a four wheel drive because two wheel drive machines have some disadvantages with this.
And if you are looking for speed you should go for a two wheel drive.
Purposes of use

Ask your self Will the machine be used for agricultural purposes only Or for competitive racing?
Engine types :

Four stroke are more fuels efficient and make less noise
Two stroke engines run at higher RPM and have greater power and pickup but this makes lot of noise too.
Automatic Clutch/Transmission

In automatic transmission you don't need to change gears aside from Hi, Low and Reverse just like your Chrysler or Ford J.
Automatic clutch will require rider to change gears manually but you don't have to mess with a clutch.
Drive Shaft, Drive Chain or Belt Drive?

Drive shaft are more secure & They have worked for years without frequent failure
Chain drive : Cheaper compared to other two, an exposed sprocket are prone to damage in very rocky areas
Belt drive : it is just like snowmobile ;
Warranties

Most of the manufacturers provide six month warranty, can purchase extended warranty for 4 years too but that would cost you around 25% of your ATV cost . So take care of your ATV & you can save a great deal.
And the big one, Price?
A new ATV would cost you anywhere between $2,500 to $10,000.
Hopefully this article will help you choose your ATV. Motocross (often shortened to MX or MotoX) is a form of motorcycle sport or all-terrain vehicle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits. Motocross is a motorcycle racing sport featuring either dirt tracks or artificial courses. Motocross is derived from the French, and traces its origins to British Scrambling competitions. Motocross is distinct from other forms of motor sport in having a mass start, where all the riders line up alongside each other, starting simultaneously and racing the race distance, with the first rider across the finish line the winner. Motocross tracks are often quite large (around 1 to 2 miles) and incorporate natural terrain features with varying amounts of man made jumps and other features. Motocross matches can include a combination of these laps, which are then combined to give the riders a cumulative score for the event.

Motocross
Motocross also began to grow in popularity in the United States during this period, which fueled an explosive growth in the sport. Motocross bikes are constructed with special designs for equipment such as pedals these are built to fold, which reduces the possibility of damage in a fall. Motocross is a rich and diverse sport, featuring highly skilled riders on the pro circuit, riding machines that have been tuned to the highest performance standards possible.

Racing
Unusually for racing machines, motocross bikes can be purchased in a ready-to-race or nearly ready-to-race condition at moderate prices from major motorcycle manufacturers. The latest craze is adult racing on miniature (50cc-125cc) motorcycles called mini bikes or Pit-Bikes. People began "hopping up" the bikes and racing them against each other. Pit-bike racing has taken a turn towards mini-moto (Supermoto) also, usually racing on go-kart and tight, small vehicle tracks. The bikes are fitted with special road racing tires and are "grooved" to grip both the pavement and dirt. At this same time other professional riders were having custom chassis built by JP Racing and Lauger racing.

Motocross can be an entry sport for motor sports in general. Motocross racing is one of the most visually appealing forms of motor sports, with riders performing seemingly death-defying leaps, turns visibly at the edge of traction (as indicated by a sliding, spinning rear tire "roosting" dirt at all behind it), and the effort of riders clearly visible as they move their bodies around their motorcycles to balance the bikes for maximum speed. Motocross was first known as a British off-road event called Scrambles, which were themselves an evolution of Trials events popular in northern Britain. Motocross also began to grow in popularity in the United States during this period, which fueled an explosive growth in the sport. Motocross racers now get their heart rate up to around 180 to 190 beats per minute and hold it there for about 35 minutes. Motocross has evolved from races in the early days to spectacular freestyle events where riders perform their best and craziest tricks for all to see.

About the Author
Peter Stevenson is a successful Webmaster and publisher of www.ExpertsOnMotorcycles.com. The thrill the sport brings plus the proliferation of stores that sell cheap dirt bikes and ATVs have meant that it is now common to see parents buy dirt bikes and ATVs for their young kids.

Despite the fact that we regularly see other seven or eight year olds riding them almost effortlessly, irresponsible riding of dirt bikes and ATVs could cause injuries to your child. In the U.S. for example, a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that 4 out of 10 people rushed to emergency rooms for ATV-related injuries are aged 16 and below.

Fortunately, parents can keep their children free from injuries stemming from the use of dirt bikes and ATVs by simply following simple safety rules. Here are some of them:

§ Before your child even goes near an ATV or a dirt bike, be sure to give him or her lessons on how to properly and safely handle the machines. When teaching them how to ride, be sure that they understand how driving a dirt bike is different from riding an ordinary bicycle and that however fun they are, dirt bikes and ATVs are not toys but machines to be handles with care.

§ Tell them how laws (e.g. no riding of ATVs on highways) were created for a reason and then emphasize how he needs to follow them strictly for his or her safety. Make sure you familiarize your kids with all the laws related to riding the vehicles.

§ Always check the condition of your kids' ATV or dirt bike before you let him or her ride it. Make sure that there is enough gas on the tank, the brakes are working, the tires are filled with the proper amount of air and the lights are functioning.

§ Dirt bikes and ATVs were meant to be ridden by just one person at a time, so never let your child have somebody ride with him/her on the same ATV or dirt bike. This affects the vehicle's balance and increases the risk of an accident happening.

§ Never let them ride on public roads--not only is this illegal in most areas, it is also very, very dangerous as well.

§ Always ensure that your kids wear all the proper protective gear like gloves, goggles, boots, jackets and most importantly, helmets. Also, remember that there are safety equipments designed especially for riding ATVs and dirt bikes and those used by your kids for other activities, most often than not, offer inadequate protection (e.g. the helmets used for bicycling for example, do not offer protection for the face).

§ Be sure that the size and speed of the ATV or dirt bike your kid rides on is appropriate for their age. It is recommended that those age 6-11 ride vehicles under 70cc while those aged 12-15 should ride 70-90 cc engines.

§ Never let the younger kids ride out alone. Always have an adult, riding on another vehicle of course, supervise them to ensure their safety.

Some question whether buying kids dirt bikes and ATVs is a wise idea. Yes, these vehicles are powerful machines whose misuse could lead to accidents and injuries, but as long as they are driven responsibly and precautionary measures are taken, ATVs and dirt bikes are safe to use.

About the Author
Maraya Mullen is a copywriter affiliated with Mud, Sweat and Gears, a store that offers a wide variety of dirt bikes and ATVs. There are many racing circuits as racing is extremely popular in the south.

Matter of fact, if it runs and it rides you can be fairly certain that it's in Texas, they are racing things right from lawn mowers to anything else that can be rigged up to ride.

Go karts are swooping through the nation and there is no end in sight; it is more popular today than it ever was and a lot of this is due in part to the new fad of small dirt bikes called pocket bikes. It seems the smaller the desire and want for the rest of our goods on earth to be small like cell phones, computers, gaming systems that the fad follows to motorcycles and go karts as well.
Since they are already small they have the luck of being popularized and then the fall of its popularity only to have it come back even stronger on the way back up. The reason for this is because, like everything else, they go through phases in and out and in and out with the rise and fall of similar machines.

For example, when the pocket bikes came out the go karts Texas saw a huge rise in sales and popularity perhaps due to the price difference or maybe it just reminded people of the fascination that they already had and the spawn of these new little bikes just reminded those that love the go karts to get back into it.

The rise and fall of these machines in Texas just follows a similar pattern of go kart fans across the nation and even internationally. In fact, go karts are extremely popular in India and they have extravagant go kart tracks that are purposely built near beautiful scenery and it is a major sport there.

Each night in Texas, any go kart track that you go to is usually packed and you have to get there first or be turned away. The go karts are much the same in that if you don't call and make reservations for you and your party, chances are that right now in the rise of the go karts again, there isn't much chance you being successful in getting in so do your part, and reserve your places so you aren't disappointed.

About the Author
If you want to learn more so you can history on go karts please visit our site which is free to the public. The illegitimate child of a fully armored army Humvee and a golf cart, the Tomcar® is one step closer to the ultimate off road machine.

The Tomcar® was originally designed as an Israeli army vehicle. The goal was to create a small, mobile, fast and tough off road vehicle for troops to take across the brutal desert landscapes of the middle east. Pioneered as a mix between a small individual ATV and a Hummer, the outcome is something that has a wide wheel base, low center of gravity, great ground clearance and great speed.

Some of the standard Tomcar® specifications include:* 79" wheel base* 12" ground clearance* 111" x 65" x 64" dimensions* 1180 lbs Dry weight* 725 cc, 4 stroke engine* Automatic transmission* Double wishbone front suspension, trail arm heavy-duty rear* Hydraulic shocks* 4 hydraulic drum brakes

Tomcars® are used now in military, commercial and recreational environments. Tomcar.com is the official reseller site with vehicle information, specs and pictures. Recreational use is proving to be an extremely popular rendition for off road tours and trips. Places such as Moab, UT, where off road trails and tours are legendary, are ideal environments for the vehicles. Rocks, dirt, sand and mountains are the Tomcar's® specialty.

One such user of the Tomcar is the Moab Adventure Center in Moab, Utah. They have been using Tomcars® since they were first introduced to the U.S. many years ago. The Moab Adventure Center uses these unique vehicles for a fun-filled off road tours where customers can drive the cars and experience the thrill themselves. The off road adventure takes customers through loose sand and dirt trails, over course red rock bluffs, around cliff edges and through the dry desert landscape.

Although popularity is catching on, the reviews for this vehicle are still mixed. True, the Tomcar® provides a fun, unique and exciting experience, but it is not without flaws. The design and functionality still reside in the Israeli manufacturing. Support, maintenance and upkeep can be a little bothersome, especially original units only supported by Israeli parts. The newer models have become slightly more reliable, and are distributed in Arizona, California and Canada. Steering is not as nimble as the U.S. dune buggy or golf cart (understandably), so it takes a little getting used to.

Overall, the Tomcar® would be ideal for recreational uses as something that provides a unique and exciting experience.

About the Author
Ryan Hutchings is the Marketing Director for the Moab Adventure Center in Moab, UT. The center provides adventure vacations and daily tours of the surrounding areas. He works closely with the outdoor industry and rafting outfitters across the nation. Ryan specializes in online and offline marketing strategy.

I think the idea of hovering over almost any surface is really cool. I came up with a plan to build my own hovercraft.

I built my first hovercraft from a basic set of plans I found at the local library. It consisted of a platform made of plywood with a shop vac attached to it for power. You sit on it and when someone pushes you it glides across the floor like an air hockey puck.

Now while this was great fun it was not what I was looking for. I wanted to build something a little more serious.

I looked into hovercraft kits or buying a used or new one and they were all out of my budget. According to the wife.

I found a reasonable set of plane online and bought them. After reading through the plans a few times I was off to my local hardware store to buy what I needed. I already had most of the basic tools required so I was now ready to start building my very own hovercraft!

Construction is pretty basic and consists of plywood, foam and some fiberglass. I have assisted in building experimental aircraft before so this was an easy task for me. But I think even someone with basic skills could build there own hovercraft.

I built the whole project it a few weeks and was ready to test it out. With a few last checks I started it up and hovered around my back yard.

It takes a little getting used to the controls but once you do it is fairly easy to drive. Everything seemed to be going well so I headed out over the lake. On smooth water this thing just glides along and is so smooth. It is the coolest feelings in the world.

I came back from my first test run grinning from ear to ear. I am now in the process of building my second one for the wife. She loves it and wants her own. I figure we can go hovering around together.
I am already planning some modifications for the second one plus a little more power. Feeling confident about the building process now.

What is so great about hovercraft is that they can be used all year round. Unlike our boat or motorcycle that have to go into storage for the winter months. My homemade hovercraft glides over snow and ice with ease.

Cost for the build was very reasonable and with a little scrounging you could keep the costs even lower. A good place to start is your local garage sales. Great for picking up any tools you are missing too.

There are bigger more expensive hovercraft plans out there but dollar for dollar these plans cannot be beat.

About the Author
Mike D Tucker is a self employed Internet entrepreneur and product reviewer. Things are going great! You are dirty and exhilarated. It could not get any better. Then all of a sudden, you get stuck! Luckily, one of your fellow adventurers has an ATV winch and gets ready to pull you out. Soon, you are out of the mess and back on the trail.
As you can see from that brief example, an ATV winch can save the day. But getting a good winch is not as simple as running out to get one. There are some specific things that you should look for when you are considering what winch to get. Also, there are some basic safety techniques you should use once you need to use that winch.
Consider the size and weight of your ATV when considering which winch to buy. You will want to load your ATV with everything you would typically have out on the trail to get an accurate weight. This weight is going to help determine which ATV winch is right for your vehicle. Also consider your price range, the pound capacity, the length of the cable, and the cable diameter. How you plan to use your ATV will help you determine what poundage or cable diameter you need. Are you planning on keeping you ATV on relatively flat ground or are you planning on doing some off roading? If you are going to use your ATV on primarily flat ground, then you won't need as powerful a winch as you would need to pull you out of the mud and rocks on a trail.
Once you need to use the ATV winch, keep some basic safety in mind. Be cautious handling the metal cable. Small slivers can easily cut your hands. It is a good idea to carry leather work gloves with you in the event that you will need to use the winch. Also keep any baggy clothing away from the winch mechanism to prevent major injuries. Never use the winch as a hoist. It is not designed to operate as a hoist, and you risk injuring yourself or damaging your ATV. When the cable has been tightened, or is being used, never step over the cable. Actually, you should keep clear of the cable all together in case it snaps. One last thing, make sure that your winch is not going to drain your battery. Your day will still be ruined if you get out of the mud only to find out that your ATV will not start. You can use a stronger battery in your ATV, use a double-battery winch system, or give the ATV a little gas while you are using the winch.
When you are using the ATV winch, keep as straight a line as possible and make sure the pulling ATV has its brakes on and wheels blocked. Remember that using the winch is all about physics. Be sure to find an anchor point that is going to hold.
Before you know it you will be back out there having the time of your life. You will also be thankful that you had your ATV winch to save the day!
About the Author
For more ATV uses please visit http://www.atvexcitement.com a popular ATV website that provides tips, advice and ATV resources. These 2 are known to be the world’s first Jet Skis. They were produced on a limited basis, powered by 2-stroke twin-cylinder engines. The WSAA was distinguished by a flat haul while the WSAB had a V-type hull.

The year 1976 brought Kawasaki to mass-produce their Jet Ski. This year gave birth to the JS400 (JS400-A) model. When the racers and water sport enthusiasts demanded for power, Kawasaki responded and gave them the JS440 (JS440-A). This model was one of the longest-selling Jet Skis made.

In the 80’s, Jet Ski was more powerful with additional features. This era brought the JS550. It was the first Jet Ski model to come out with revised high-capacity mixed-flow pump that gave it more power for people who wanted to have more than the usual thrill. The JS550 had 531 cm3 2-stroke Twin. Feature included the automatic rpm control.

The 80’s also gave birth to the JS300 (1986) that was hailed to be the beginner’s Jet Ski, 650SX (1987) powered by a 635 cm3 2-stroke Twin, 300SX (1987) with 294 cm3 reed-valve Single with CD ignition, and the very first Kawasaki Jet Ski sit-down water craft, the two-seater Tandem Sport™ (1989) with 635 cm3 engine.

The 90’s came with a riveting Jet Ski models, features and designs. At the beginning of the decade, the 550SX, considered to be a high-performing Jet Ski, made its sale. A year later, 550SX was given a facelift with aluminum cylinders, underwater exhaust outlet, and piston reed valves. The 1991 also gave rebirth to the 650SX but was more powerful than before.

Other 90’s models are 2-seater 750SS, JL650-A, JH750-B sit-down, JH750-D sit-down, JT750-A sit-down, 750 ZXi, 750 Zsi, 3-seater JT750, 1100 Zxi, 900 STX, 1100 STX and a lot more. The 90’s made Jet Ski a better choice for its wide range of choices. The power, material used, and features are upgraded with the coming of modern marine and water craft technology.
Some 90’s models are carried with the turn of the century. And with the performance the current Kawasaki Jet Skis have, these models capture still capture the interest of both the thrill seeker and racers.

This content is provided by Low Jeremy and may be used only in its entirety with all links included. In the early 1960s a company by the name of Bombardier made a similar model. A jet ski is basically motorized transport over water in a small craft. The use of this model is regulated by the governing body of the country and is generally for amusement rather than any kind of transportation. Mostly they have found it to be useful to lifeguards at beaches and rescue squads.

The Kawasaki craft has the brand name Jet Ski and all models have safety standards they must conform to. It runs on the concept of ejecting water from the back of the craft and has planing speeds. Since water is ejected under water the surrounding stationary water absorbs the movement, propelling it forward. The earliest design of jet boats was in 1931 by Secondo Campini, an Italian inventor in Venice, although the original design is claimed to have come from Sir William Hamilton. The largest jet-propelled vessels are frigates in South Africa.

The companies manufacturing jet skis and jet boats are the Kawasaki Motor Company, Hamilton Jet Designs, Bombardier of Canada, American Honda Motor Co. Inc., Polaris Industries Inc. and Yamaha Motor Corp. The title of "jet boat capital" goes to Queensland, New Zealand.
Some of the best waters to indulge in this sport are Arizona, Queenstown, and all the major beaches of Thailand. This sport provides hours of fun and the thrill of speed, although it is not without its dangers.

Skiing provides detailed information on Skiing, Water Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Jet Skiing and more. We all have a pastime we enjoy, that one thing that takes next to no effort of brain functionality. For some of us it's watching TV, for others we might be embarrassed to share it with others. Something I love to do when I do have a free afternoon is fly my radio controlled helicopters. If you're not familiar with this it's known as RC hobbies, or remote controlled hobbies. Possibly back when you were a child you had a remote control dune buggy, I know I did, or maybe now you've been sucked into the world of adult RC hobbies. Realistically this stuff is for kids of any age, there are RC hobbies marketed towards children that are 9 or 10 years old, then there are those for the 40 year old but appeal to their inner 10 year old. No matter how old you are it's just good old fashioned fun.

Have you ever dreamed of driving some exotic sports car, how ever your bank account just won't allow it? Well don't feel bad your not the only one. There's a quick fix to this though, RC hobbies can allow you to test drive these exotic vehicles just on a smaller level. Ok so maybe you're driving it via a radio transmitter but can you think of a quicker way you'd be able to get your hands on a dodge viper? Didn't think so. If you're unfamiliar with RC hobbies then you have no idea what type of cars you're missing out on. Did you know there is a C car that can hit top speeds of 60 miles per hour? Isn't that insane, of course it's tough to keep up with it tearing down the street, but it's pretty sweet that it goes that fast. Without seeing something this high tech in person it's almost impossible to fathom that it exists. Take the time right now to research some RC hobbies online right now.

When I was younger I enjoyed playing with one of the RC dune buggies I mentioned earlier. This thing was able to conquer dirt, pavement, anything I could drive it through. These days, I still love the RC cars, but my passion has move more towards the sky. RC Airplanes and helicopters are the big boys toys in the RC hobbies world. You don't need a wide open road to drive your plain or chopper, just some open sky and spare time. If your interest is perked in exploring the world of RC hobbies do yourself a favor and take a look online at the array of products available from kits to accessories it really is a little world all of its own.

About the Author
For more articles and information about hobbies, crafts and other passtimes check out our website at List of hobby ideas

It's just about the most distinctive bike out there - no so much because of the design, although that's eye-catching enough, but also because of what the owners do to their bikes once they get them.

What does a lowrider look like? Picture a Harley Davidson motorcycle, then take away the motor. The handgrips of the lowrider are the highest part of the bike, and the seat of the bike is down at wheel level. Sometimes the pedals are higher than the seats!

Lowriding first became popular among the Chicano American community, but now their popularity has spilled over into most urban areas. Dozens of lowriding clubs have been formed. Lowriders also refer to cars (which also started out in the Chicano American community) and there are lots of contents between car enthusiasts to see who has created the best ride. Competitions for lowrider bikers will surely not be far behind.

Once you've got a lowrider you've got to give it a custom paint job - from handpainted murals to all kinds of color schemes. Whitewall tires, custom upholstery, chrome rims...the whole range of exotic accessories lies before the new lowrider owner. Each lowrider is a unique piece of art - that's part of its appeal.

Aztlan, located in Chino Hills, California, is the number one lowrider bike manufacturer in the world, and if you check out their website you'll see the full range of lowriders available - before you get them home and start working on them so that they reflect your personality.
The Aztlan Lowrider Cruiser retails for $120, and consists of the lowrider frame, and wheels, a bent spring fork, bent sissy bar, and the banana seat. You can add a bullet light to that so you can ride it at night.

Then there's the Aztlan Gold Continental Lowrider, that comes with a gold flat twisted continental kit with chrome classic wheel, two gold mirrors, a gold bumper, and a gold bullet light. This retails for $260.

Among other styles Aztlan offers is the Birdcage custom - consists of the lowrider frmae, straight spoke wheels, a bent spring fork and sissy bar, banana seat, and a birdcage handlebar, seat post, birdcage pedals and nut covers, and a duck tail fender! This retails for $339.95!
Another company is the Mega Lowrider, located in San Diego. In addition to the bikes they offer all kinds of accessories, such as a heart-shaped steering wheel, upholstery such as velour grip and pedal covers, and bolt-on items like dice, skulls, or 8-balls!

About the Author
Alastair Hamilton is a syndicated editor of http://www.bikecyclingreviews.com . Sure, most go karts do not reach speeds this high, but by following a few safety measures you can make your go kart experience fun at any speed.

Back in the olden days, when the only go kart tracks in the neighborhood were located at the nearby family fun centers, accidents were few and far between. But with the specialized go kart tracks and the higher speeds we see today it is wise to be aware of and to follow a few simple safety precautions. With the lower speeds of yesteryear it was easy to drive safely, but times have changed. Nowadays you must be aware of what can happen on the track and be prepared for it. But with a little bit of preparation go karting can be a thrilling experience. Racing takes all forms, from ATVs to scooters, from motorcycles to mopeds, but go karts are the only form that will give you the thrill of Formula One racing without as much of the danger.

It's hard losing control of a go kart when it's traveling at a top speed of 5 mph, but it's a very common thing at 60 mph. It's the drivers who have the attitude "it won't happen to me" that seem to end up in trouble more often. And when a driver thinks of his gokart as a toy instead of a racing vehicle that's where the trouble can begin. But on the contrary, it's the drivers that take safety precautions seriously that have the most fun with the least accidents. So driver beware.
There is a certain amount of risk at any speed, but most accidents can be prevented with some common sense and preparation. From the type of go kart you buy to the type of safety equipment you use can determine your level of risk. Anything is possible once you're on the track, head injuries, broken bones, fires and more. That's why it's necessary to have all of your safety measures in line before actually climbing into your gokart.

The first step to being safe is to race your go kart in a class that you are prepared for. There are many go cart classes that will cater to every age range from kids to adults and to every experience level from none to professional. Learning to drive go karts is a skill that can be mastered fairly quickly, but becoming a great driver may take a much longer time. It's best to drive in a class with drivers of your same experience level. Once you improve your skills you can then advance to the next carting level. Racing against drivers that are much better than you can spell trouble on the track, so it's smart to move up in class only when you have acquired the skills to do so.

With the high speeds we see today is it actually possible to race go-karts safely? There are two answers to that question. On the one hand, if you are well-prepared with safety in mind it is possible to keep your risks low and remain relatively safe on the track. On the other hand, any sport can be dangerous if you haven't carefully prepared and throw caution to the wind.
So exactly how fast are we talking about when we say that go karts reach some amazing speeds today? A normal racing kart can reach speeds of up to 60 mph. But an enduro kart can get up to 90 mph and a shifter kart 160 mph or possibly even faster. Now that's burning rubber! Flipping your vehicle over or getting hit from the side at any of these speeds is not something you want to do. That's why it's important to take precautions at every stage.

We have already mentioned that if you don't feel comfortable at these high speeds you can race in a class that matches your experience level. So don't start sweating just yet. The number one cause of accidents is carelessness. And no matter how careful you may be you must remember that you will be racing against drivers that may not be as careful. So race in a class that fits your comfort zone.

Helmets are a must at any speed. Find a quality helmet that will protect you from serious head injury if the unforeseen should happen. Head injuries are usually the most serious of injuries when racing and avoiding these types of injuries is priority number one. Clothing is also important. Go-carts carry fuel which can catch fire in a crash. This is why it's important to wear a fire-resistant racing suit, gloves and protective shoes. If the front of your gokart should hit another car or barrier it's the feet that most often get injured. A special pair of shoes can protect you from many foot injuries.

Buying a safe go kart is another important thing to think about. Most gokarts these days have a cage that protects the driver during a rollover. They also have strong side bars that prevent injuries when another driver rams into the side of your vehicle. These are two important safety features that you should not be racing without. It's better to spend a little extra money on a well-built go kart than to skimp and leave yourself less protected. In order for you to have fun you must lessen your risks as much as possible.

By keeping safety as your number one goal your go karting experience should be a fun one instead of a risky one. And with a little practice maybe we'll be watching you race alongside Tony Stewart one day.

About the Author
This article is presented by Go Karts Supreme, a top online source for racing go karts.
