Seeing devanagari webpages in an unsupported phone

मित्रांनो,
मोबाईलवर इंटरनेट वापरणे ही आता कॉमन गोष्ट झाली आहे. पण बऱ्याच फोनवर देवनागरी वापरता नसल्याने अडचण होते. आपल्याला हिंदी / मराठी वेबसाईट, email किंवा सोशल नेटवर्किंग मेसेजेस पाहता येत नाहीत. पण त्याला अगदी सोपे उत्तर आहे. तुमच्या फोनवर 'जावा' असेल तर तुम्ही खालील अॅप्लिकेशन्स वापरून देवनागरी वेबसाइट्‌स पाहू शकता.

* ओपेरा मिनी

1) ओपेरा मिनी इन्स्टॉल करा
त्यासाठी फोनच्या ब्राउजरमध्ये m.opera.com ही साइट उघडा तिथे तुम्हाला तुमच्या फोनसाठी सोयीची डाउनलोड लींक दिसेल. (पेजच्या तळाला असलेल्या Other download option वर जाऊन code-signing certificate select केल्यास अधिक चांगल्या सुविधा मिळतील.)

2) ओपेरा मिनी मध्ये अॅड्रेस बारमध्ये जा. 'www.' ही अक्षरे काढून टाका व opera:config या अॅड्रेसवर जा.

3)तिथे वेगवेग़ळे सेटींग्ज दिसतील त्यातील सर्वात शेवटचे असेल Use bitmap fonts for complex scripts. त्यापुढे Yes करा व save करा.

4) आता Opera mini मध्ये हिंदी / मराठी अक्षरे पाहता येईल.

* Bolt Browser Indic

1) फोनच्या ब्राउजरमध्ये www.boltbrowser.com वर जा.

2) वेबपेजच्या तळाला indic version ची लींक दिसेल त्यावर क्लीक करून Bolt indic इन्स्टॉल करा.

3) फॉंट इन्स्टॉल करा. Menu >> Preferences >> Install font >> Hindi

4) आता Bolt Browser Indic मध्ये हिंदी / मराठी अक्षरे पाहता येतील.

Mobile internet use is rising rapidly. But so many 'smart phones' doesn't support devanagari fonts. Sometimes a font can be installed but improper rendering makes it worse to understand. But you can see webpages with indic scripts easily if you have Java on your phone. If you use Android phone, use Opera Mini.

* Opera mini

1) Install Opera Mini. Go to m.opera.com from your default browser. (Go to Other download options and select 'code-signing certificate' for better facilities like saving webpages)

2) Go to address bar, remove letters 'www.' and enter 'opera:config'.

3) It will open server settings. Last option would be 'Use bitmap fonts for complex scripts'. Make it 'Yes' and save.

4) Now you can see devanagai text in Opera Mini.

* Bolt Browser Indic

1) Go to www.boltbrowser.com in the default browser

2) You will find a link for the Indic version. Click and install Bolt Indic.

3) Install devanagari font for the Bolt Browser. Menu >> Preferences >> Install font >> Hindi

4) Now you can see devanagari in Bolt Browser Indic. * Update 1: Bolt Browser has been discontinued now. So use 'Opera Mini'.

हा शोलेमधील एक सीन. बच्चनचा प्रेमवीर, मद्यधुंद दोस्त धर्मेंद्र पाण्याच्या टाकीवरून उडी मारून आत्महत्या करायला चाललाय. आणि हा पठ्ठ्या मात्र निवांत चहा पीत बसलाय. हेमामालिनी ओरडत येत बच्चनला म्हणते "तुम कैसे दोस्त हो? तुम यहाँ बैठे हो? देखो तुम्हारा दोस्त कहाँ चढ गया है।" गरम चहाचे घुटके घेत बच्चन थंडपणे म्हणतो, "हाँ देखा! कुछ नही होगा। जब दारु उतरेगी तब ये भी उतर आयेगा!"
