As a web designer I am increasingly noticing the importance of creating mobile versions of websites. I try to stress this fact to all of my clients. In all honesty I recently discovered that my own website is not very mobile friendly. Therefore, I am in the process of developing mobile versions of my website and blog. Mobile phones are increasingly becoming widely used for accessing the internet. With the popularity of I-Phones, Blackberry's and Droid phones, it is important to have a version of your website that is mobile compliant. Designers pay attention to this fact. We have to adapt to the technology and offer mobile website designs to our clients. Mobile design may include: creating seperate style sheets for these users; condensing the information into one column designs instead of three; removing flash from I-Phone versions; optimizing images to fit in a smaller screens.

SEO and Link Building via Boostablity

For the past 20 days I have been testing the software application offered by http://www.boostability.com/ for link building and SEO optimization. Boostability offers an automated software tool that analyzes your website and creates a series of tasks for you to perform to boost rankings in popular search engines.

So far the software has helped me to determine the best keywords for my website as well as prominent places to use them such as in strong tags, h1 tags, meta keywords, descriptions, etc.

The link building features searches the Internet for various free directories and blogs for you to add links based on your keywords.

I almost through all of the 1st months task. I am so excited to see how I move up the ranks in Google searches.

The main reason I am using my own website as a guinea pig is to test boostability before becoming an affiliate or offering the service to my own clients.

The keyword academy offers great information on the power of keywords and Google's Pay Per Click advertising in generating income online. I have downloaded the Keyword Crash Course E-book. The book discusses how to get your site ranked in the top 5 on Google for keywords that can make you money.

Three important characteristics of profitable keywords the author mentions are:

1.) People have to be searching for the keyword.

2.) Advertisers have to be willing to pay for the keyword. The pay per click value is important.
