I've neglected to post anything of interest here for quite sometime. Been very busy behind the scenes building a bigger website and actually earning money too.

My god we're flying through August and I've barely done anything that I planned for this year. At least that's the way it feels. I'm paying the bills ok so that's an achievement right?

Seriously, when you're in Manhattan you can go about blindly clicking a camera and it's pretty likely you'll capture something of interest.

I've been fighting the urge to put a giant robot in there somewhere for months now. Seems fine as it is. Giant robots will now appear elsewhere.

NYC iPhone Photography

I've uploaded some pictures from my recent jaunt to New York into a Flickr set here.

For this trip the idea of lugging around a DSLR and camera bag really didn't appeal. Still, you can't go to New York and not photograph something. As an experiment (in laziness more than anything) I decided to only use my old iPhone 3G camera and whatever camera apps I had installed.

The best camera is the one you have with you as they say.

It's been a hectic couple of months which has been great. Now it's time to recuperate.

I think this has been the busiest month of my working life, so far anyway. Still finding some time to scribble a bit which makes me happy.

Animation - Flash into After Effects

This was originally illustrated and animated in flash. Turns out if you try to do something complicated in flash like, um, rotate something very slowly it doesn't react well at all.

I rebuilt this to get down more of the effect I was looking for.

Quality isn't too bad but I think I'll be upgrading to Vimeo Plus soon for the HD embedding.
