Scientists close to Earthquake Warning System (Using Technology to Save Life)

The UC Berkeley scientists said 'A closer quake might mean only a few seconds of warning, but could still be enough for people to take shelter - possibly saving lives to sound an alarm for 'a full 60 seconds before the shaking starts'.

"Early warning networks are already operating in other countries where earthquakes are common, and we know that in a densely populated region like the Bay Area, even a few seconds of warning could save many lives when a big one hits," Richard Allen, associate director of the Berkeley Seismological Laboratory and leader of the project said.

The highly advanced warning system is based on complicated computer algorithms known as ElarmS, short for Earthquake Alarms Systems.

Eventually the alarm system could tell dispatchers to halt trains, alert fire stations and ambulances, send warnings to home computers and trigger warning tones to every individual mobile phone in the area, Allen said.

An article from screen india.com reveals that Warner Bros. will push back the release of Titans one week to April 2. Deathly Hallows: Part I is set to unspool November 19 and Part II is slotted for July 15, 2011.

The only previous Potter pic to dabble in 3D was last year’s Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, which included brief footage viewable in 3D in Imax venues. It was unclear whether Potter author J.K. Rowling had to okay the move into the third dimension.

Meantime, the move of Potter into the extra dimension could prompt other high-profile moves.

In an article from Empire Movies reveals that Warner Bros has confirmed 3D make for movie 'Harry potter and the deathly hallows' and 'clash of the titans'. Also as part of the announcement, WB said that both Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (July 30th) and Guardians of Ga’Hoole (September 24th) will be released in 3D.

"We're excited about 3D and look forward to bringing a rich, involving visual experience to audiences around the world," Warners film group president Jeff Robinov said in an article.

My own thoughts about 2012 and to prepare for survive

As an author of this blog, I have collected and shared some of the information in this blog and my other blogs.

I hope all is well and ends well. The best way to predict future is to create it, a nice line that I read in a social networking website.

I live in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India and the city is in list number 2 for earthquake. I can't predict exact date and time but I can be prepared for the devastation. So every one must prepare and followed by wise sayings.

I have prepared to face earthquake by watching disaster and prediction movies like Earthquake, Volcano, The Core, Deep Impact, 2012, The day after tomorrow, Final destination 1, 2, 3, 4, 2022 etc.

We must face life as it happens but be prepared to face everything. Remember 'No fate but what we make'

I will give my advice to my readers later and share what I know.
