Vidya Balan’s dare bare act in her upcoming film “The Dirty Picture” is the talk of the town. The actress confesses that in the beginning, it was not easy for her to play the ultra-sensuous role.

“There was a certain amount of mental preparation about being uninhibited and being unapologetic about being uninhibited…But I have enjoyed it,” said Vidya here during the promotion of her film, which depicts the rise and fall of a sex-siren in the 1980s and 1990s.

Known for her poise and grace in “Parineeta” and “Paa”, she is eagerly waiting for the Milan Luthria directed film, which also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor and Emran Hashmi.

“Everyone knows about ‘Dirty Picture’ and are excited about the film. I feel very happy about this. I cannot wait for it to release. I just hope everyone reaches the theatre,” Vidya said about the movie releasing Dec 2.

Vidya starrer “No One Killed Jessica”, based on ramp model Jessica Lall’s murder, started the year on a positive note as the film earned both commercial success and critical acclaim. She also made guest appearances in “Thank You” and “Dum Maaro Dum”.

Now, expectations are high from “The Dirty Picture”, and people are hoping when the film comes out next month, it sets the cash registers ringing and spells good business for the industry.

Emran Hashmi denies ‘Jannat 2′ song leak report

Earlier “Chammak Challo” song from “Ra.One” was leaked online before its official music launch, and now it has been reported that songs of Emran Hashmi’s forthcoming film “Jannat 2″ have also been leaked on the internet — the actor has, however, denied it.
“No truth to the rumour about that ‘leaked song’ on the net, from ‘Jannat-2′,” Emran tweeted.
Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, “Jannat 2″ is a sequel to the 2008 film “Jannat” and part two will see model Esha Gupta as the female lead opposite Emraan.
The song from Shah Rukh Khan’s superhero film “RA.One” was leaked two days before its official music launch.

Bachchans give huge fillip to the ‘girl child’ in India..

Son preference is a well-documented phenomenon in India, with a report saying an estimated 500,000 female foetuses are aborted in the country every year. So when Bollywood’s first family, the Bachchans, welcomed the birth of a daughter with open arms, they may have given a huge fillip to the girl child.

Nearly a week after the event, the Bachchan family was still gushing about the newborn Tuesday when they finally brought her home from hospital.

“Goddess Lakshmi has come to our home and we have brought home Lakshmi ratan,” said Amitabh Bachchan about his granddaughter, born to son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya.

The message could be lost to none.

Celebrities are often used as brand ambassadors by NGOs to drive home a point. And there can be no better example of that in India than Amitabh Bachchan, who was once successfully roped in for the polio vaccination drive.

What’s more, the birth of a girl child in his family has been hailed by other celebrities too, promising a larger impact on Bollywood fans.

Soon after Aishwarya gave birth Nov 16, TV host Mini Mathur tweeted: “My heart warms up 2 see the nation welcome a baby girl with so much love. Hope it learns 2 give the same affection to all our tiny angels.”

Gul Panag wrote: “Here’s hoping the little Bachchan baby girl will give many others a reason to let their baby girls actually BE born. In a country where #femalefoeticide is widespread, a baby girl born to celebrity parents will hopefully have some positive effect.”

Both Abhishek and his mother, Jaya Bachchan, were keen on a girl child.

“I wish for a healthy baby, hopefully, a daughter who looks just like Ash,” Abhishek said in an interview, while his mom expressed her desire to welcome a “poti” (granddaughter).

Naysayers had once wagged their tongues against Amitabh and accused him of being biased towards the male child when at a gathering in Varanasi in 2006 he said he wanted his son to get married and produce a son.

But they were proved wrong when an excited Big B tweeted after his granddaughter’s birth: “I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl, A dada ji … Ecstatic.”

The 69-year-old’s mega success on the big screen turned him into an icon and his celebrity status worked wonders when he was roped in to campaign for polio eradication in 2002.

The country has recorded a worst decadal child sex ratio since independence as per the Census of India 2011. According to a report, since 1991, 80 percent of districts in India have recorded a declining sex ratio with the state of Punjab being the worst.

The decline in the child sex ratio in India is evident in the census figures. In 2001, the figure was 927 girls to 1,000 boys. Ten years later it has fallen to 914 girls against 1,000 boys.

Haryana is said to be the worst affected state – grooms have to travel thousands of kilometers in search of a bride as there are not enough girls there.

“Most of the time when celebrities of high stature like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan or Shabana Azmi promote a social campaign, it becomes the movement of new India as people start following them. Let’s hope that Abhishek and Ash’s baby girl creates the positive influence on all those families who are against the birth of the girl child,” said Meghna Rao who runs an NGO called Breakthrough.

“It might change the way people welcome the baby girl in India and I am hopeful that she will also change the rude attitude of people,” she added.

A study commissioned by the Health Ministry and Unicef and conducted by the Social and Rural Research Institute found that 73.6 percent guardians with children under the age of five in lower socio-economic categories could recall the television advertisement featuring Big B.

“The Bachchan family has always been responsible citizens, starting from the late Harivansh Rai Bachchan to Amitabh Bachchan and this is not only because of their status in society but because of their social responsibility towards society,” said designer Anu P.D., who is associated with NGO The Earth Foundation, which contributes to different healthcare segments.

“Aishwarya and Abhishek are blessed with a baby girl and I am sure this will increase awareness among the masses,” she said.

Shahrukh Khan, whose romantic sagas on silver screen made him a superstar, tried something different with his superhero sci-fi thriller “Ra.One. But King Khan says he has once again ended up making a love story.

The mega-budget film is releasing Wednesday on Diwali.

“Watching the first copy of Ra.One…Damn! realised yet again I have made a love story…a love story between me and my dreams,” the 45-year-old posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Shahrukh is trying to reach out to the maximum number of people by aggressively promoting the superhero film in two and three-tier cities, apart from the metros.

He has even tied up with channels and brands to sell the superhero film’s merchandise.

Made at a budget of over Rs.100 crore, “RA.One” is directed by Anubhav Sinha who also roped in Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor for important roles.

Now this is going to be a bad news for the Dabangg fans.. If buss is to be believed, the antagonist of Dabangg, Sonu Sood has reportedly opted out of the film’s sequel.

The main reason for him to take such a decision is the entry of Prakash Raj into the films sequel. Prakash Raj plays a villian in Salman Khan’s return as Chulbul Pandey.

This hasn’t gone down well with Sonu. Having earned huge appreciation for his awesome prformance as Chhedi Singh in the 2010 blockbuster, Sonu doesn’t want to jeopardise his image by playing Prakash’s sidekick.

Ra.One is an upcoming 2011 Hindi science fiction film directed by Anubhav Sinha. About Force

Force is a film directed by Nishikant Kamat. The film is actually a remake of Tamil hit film Kaakha Kaakha starring Suirya and Jyothika. Force is a film based on fight between good and evil. There is love story as well, which becomes the nerve of the film. The film unfolds the story of Yashvardhan (John Abraham) who is a trusted police officer woking in the Narcotics Control Bureau. He has a great come-back. Kamlesh Swant is okay. Amit Gaurr is wonderful. Mukesh Rishi is excellent. Raj Babbar and Anaitha Nair are just okay. On the whole, Force is a film with an engaging story. The film has an ample amount of force. Not for faint hearted as there is lots of bloodshed. Excellent film for John Abraham's Fans.

Stars of Bollywood Sustain Injuries From High Energy Antics

Bollywood stars are typically all smiles, but the high-energy antics that have earned the adoration of millions come with a price.

Lately, it seems like a slew of injuries and ailments have afflicted Bollywood’s best and brightest. Shahrukh Khan reported experiencing terrible knee troubles at The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards held in Toronto earlier this year. The pain was so severe that a scheduled dance performance had to be altered for the star’s comfort.

Soon after, it was Hrithik Roshan’s turn. Hrithik , who is renowned as one of B-town’s best dancers, also confessed to severe knee pain after some heavy duty action scenes. The star took some time off to recover.

Rajinikanth was hospitalized due to exhaustion during his shoot with Deepika Padukone, which stands postponed. John Abraham suffered severe injuries while filming his new flick Force but soldiers on despite a fractured finger.

Perhaps the biggest health related story out of Bollywood was the personal health revelation by hunky Salman Khan, who recently visited the US to treat his nerve condition Trigeminal Neuraglia after bearing the pain for seven years.

More recently, actors Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi, and Rana Daggubati were all in the news after sustaining various injuries while performing stunts in their respective films. Even, the super fit Akshay Kumar has not been spared—he was taken to emergency after a dangerous fire stunt left him complaining about breathlessness.

Who’s to blame for this carnage? “The industry is to blame,” says one trainer to the stars. “ “Their bodies are under a lot of pressure, and there’s only a certain limit that the body can take it. They work out, pushing their bodies to the limit, but after a certain point the body fights back. The result is a lot of bad backs and knees. Additionally, the lifestyle doesn’t allow them to eat and sleep regularly, which only compounds the stress.”

Many Bollwood actors prefer doing their own stunts—it’s a badge of honour, but despite new techniques and technology there’s always a risk involved with stunt work.

Why do these actors undertake such rigorously strenuous roles? Part of the reason is the competition. So many up and comers are willing to do anything that no one is willing to give up any advantage.

While Bollywood shows no signs of slowing down, hopefully ctors will take notice of this rash of injuries and resolve to take better care of themselves.

The 'Bigg Boss 5' house might have a young Bollywood star headed its way, even if it is just for a very temporary stay. The reality show, which has a majority of women inmates this season, might see Ranbir Kapoor and singer Mohit Chauhan making a special entry this week.

They will visit the sets of 'Bigg Boss 5 - Aapka Farman' to promote their new movie 'Rockstar'. But it is still not confirmed if they will enter the house and speak to the contestants in person.

However, if sources are to be believed, Ranbir is very keen to have a conversation with the ladies, and will try and get host, Sanjay Dutt, to help him do so.

The 'Rockstar' special episode will go on air on Colors this Saturday (October 29).

The Hindi and English versions of ‘Kites‘ will release worldwide simultaneously in 60 countries.

The first trailer of the movie, which has been produced by Hrithik Roshan’s father Rakesh Roshan, while being distributed and marketed by Reliance Big Picture, will be unveiled in almost 1700 screens on 12th February.
